Different countries are minting money illegally from the immigrants. They give visas in the name of education and other traits but they are dismissed and compel them to walk out of those countries like Canada ! Give easy access for visa but at the end of the day they are out of those countries ! Poor people from poor countries being exploited !

I've been to the states many times! My opinion is that Americans focus on wallets more than social issues! Americans care more about their own circumstances than working together to help the whole of the population. No one likes to pay more taxes but they are a nessesary evil to be able to pay for health care, public security, and so on! So sure Americans don't pay as much for some things but pay more for things that they shouldn't pay! Health care is something that is very important, how can you be expected to pay for health services if you can't work cause you're ill, doesn't make any sence! Even Americans leave thier country because of what it's becoming! 50- 100 years ago everyone wanted to immigrate to America or Canada, now a days everyone is immigrating here to Canada. Should I have to explain why! It's sad but the U.S.A isn't what it used to be. Mostly because of corporate greed and the influence it has on the gouvernment! Just look at how Trump is running things. A country isn't a bussiness, it's a people, without the people a country is nothing. Too bad Trump and his billionaire butt licking friends can't see that!

it worked the first time he instituted these tariffs in 2016, I suspect it will work again, because Canada and Mexico have no real leverage. they can say they will fight back with their own tariffs but its a losing game for them because, they are a luxury for us. we dont need them. they need us far more than we need them. and thats why despite grumbling they caved in last time. they will do the same, you just have to let them get it out of their system like a toddler and try and save face for a bit.

American trade accounts for only 24% of its massive GDP. if you removed all trade from america, it would still have larger economical output than china, mexico and canada COMBINED. yes. Combined. \n\nFurthermore, Canadian trade with america account for almost 80% of all trade in canada. A 25% increase would be absolutely devastating to canada. In america its about 13% so a 25% increase would cost more but it wont have any significant impact.\n\nNo doubt this tarrif war will cause far more problems for canada mexico and china than america. By a LOT. \n\nI dont think america is being selfish either. China does nothing to protect america from sending precursor chemicals to america to manufacture fentanyl. Canada has access to two of the biggest oceans in the world, they should've been trading more with the rest of the world. EU and China each consume almost as much as than the US consumes and you have direct access to their market through oceans.
