How many part-time jobs do they expect these people to work to pay for rent? Finding a full-time job is almost impossible. Coming to Canada exspecting the country to look after them? The companies take hours away from their employees and create another part-time position, then gets a bonus from the government as part of the new employee wages are paid. Same hours for the company but paying less wages and keeping the profits. Who is does this benefit? Not the workers that then need another part-time job to feed their kids. Filling up schools with people who do not met the education requirements with bogus paperwork. Who are then forced to attend a strip mall schools. Are their diplomas even valid? No proper place to live and using foodbanks. Anyone with this paperwork should be refused at airport not supported. Most are coming from counties that have schools. Because really would you want them managing your money, running the country or are they going to work at Tim Hortons? No wait their fellow countrymen will then use them in scams. I'm pretty sure that the govt have done an immigration freeze before. Many applications were just halted and nothing happened for several months. The process is not the same as it was in the 80s when they did not require renewal every couple yrs w high $ and rules to return to home country for a set amount of time risking losing your home/job/business etc. Some renewal process for green cards have sped up but still takes 6-1yr and a new green card renewal and new one for Mexico can take 1-3yrs for approval. So someone that’s been here +20yrs will have to leave everything they have built here to go wait quite a long time. Its not if you agree how they got here, its what they have done in our country since being here. They add to our economy, +80% pay taxes to never get any of those benefits and they open businesses employing people etc. If they have been here committing a list of crimes then no i don’t agree but majority of immigrants don’t do that. As an Indian who has worked in Europe I want to highlight a few things. \nDesis are loud and annoying. \nThey will talk loudly on the phone sometimes its annoying.\nThey will try to force their culture onto others. \n\nCons of the west.\n\n1. Lazy people who don't want to work and support the economy. \n2. The west is built by hard working immigrants only countries like Japan and Singapore were built by the locals.\nWhite folks are lazy and they need to get a job.

I've lived here 6 years and can't wait to leave. Salaries are just enough to get by. I work full-time as an analyst and am looking for a minijob just to save money, which I already live quite modestly. It's easy to come across nasty unfriendly people, neighbors, service people, people in government agencies. I hate people staring in the most unfriendly manner or givng attitude for no reason other than they are nasty people. Don't get me wrong, there are nice people as well, but the bad experiences outweigh the good. Beauracracy is overbearing, personalities are underwhelming, the food scene is underwhelming, learning German is a big burden when you work a full-time job (and now I need a minijob too??). The country seems like it wants to diminish the human spirit and ambition. I definitely regret moving here. Many housing companies are over charging rent. I found out the company, Deutschewohnen, who owns my apartment was overcharging me by nearly double!! I had to go through a year long court procession to get them to lower it to the legal price which I won. And now they sent me a letter last month saying they are raising my rent, which is illegal and I have to go through ANOTHER court battle with them. Of course it is exhausting to try and find another apartment. Some people search up to a year. What a joke. And not to mention the dating scene. I've been single the entire 6 years and I'm quite an outgoing, friendly, loveable person. Dating Germans comes with own weird experiences and I refuse to give them a chance anymore, for my own mental health. If you're POC, it's not uncommon to come across strange sexualizations and general lack of understanding other's cultures. A couple years ago I was attacked by 8 men while walking home at night. I ended up in the hosopital and there was an investigation opened. The police asked me why they attacted me, which I didn't know since it was unprovoked. They just followed me for awhile, surrounded me and started beating me. The police said it was probably because I'm Asian. Meanwhile, I'm not even Asian!!! I'm Latino. ??‍♂This is the type of ignorance POC have to deal with in Germany. Also, I only have 1 German friend and all my other friends are immigrants (which I love) but this poses it's own frustrations because many people move here, then move away after a few years when they learn they can have a more fulfilling life elsewhere. So keeping long term day-to-day friends can be a challenge. The entire system is exhausting and there's not enough balance to bring joy to my life to want to stay. When I lived in NYC, an African American aquaintance had just moved there after living in Berlin for 8 years. She warned me not to move here because I will never feel I belong. I didn't listen. That was a big mistake. Germans can have Germany. I'll find my joy elsewhere. End of rant. haha

No! These are supposed to be intelligent people. You do your homework before considering going to another country, especially as a student. My parents couldn't raise that kind of money to pay for me to study in another country, or even in my own country. Life isn't fair, but Canadians need priority to be housed in Canada. India has very good schools at affordable prices for Indians, and also very high prices for international students. I looked into studying in India and I couldn't afford it as an International student. India should re evaluate its priorities, before spending billions on space programs. India should also decide who it wants to be friends with. I am sure there are lots of good schools in Russia, who right now it prefers over the West.

All developed countries have less birth rates that's why their government needs to import immigrants to keep up the workforce and economy, if they don't want more immigrants they should have more children.

I want to bring attention to the fact that when an Airline submits a Record of Employment (ROE) to Service Canada for flight crew. The hours the company puts for insurable hours is the hours per month based on the pay hours not the actual amount of hours worked. Pilots for example are usually paid based on 80 hours of flying per month, actual time in the air. However, we all know it takes a lot more work to get an airplane ready to fly. These are the Duty Hours, the actual hours worked. The Airlines do not use the Duty Hours for the Records of Employment. The rules regarding insurable hours does state that it is the actual real world hours worked or as close as possible to that number. Something needs to be done because it is not fare for a full time employee to then be given an ROE with just 80 hours of insurable hours per month when they actually could work way more than that. Please someone investigate and report on this.

Hi please I really need your help I want to travel to Canada

In Canada, there is not enough housing and jobs are scarce, especially for anyone at the entry level or basic wage. We've been absolutely swamped. This is not the fault of the immigrants or the students, it's the fault of our extremely stupid and short sighted government. Most of those immigrants I encounter are good people, polite and considerate. But some, well I understand where the complaints about rude and inconsiderate behaviour come from, because it only takes a few bad experiences to get people angry. I've experienced it myself, but most of it (from my experience) seems to be from students who are very loud and impolite on public transit. The housing situation here is INSANE, prices are sky high and very little to choose from. A lot of seniors now can only afford to rent a room (after having worked all their lives and very little to show for it), and prices are up about 50% from only 5 years ago. The government says inflation is a fraction of what it is in real life, and living expenses have exploded. As I understand it, some people made a lot of money offering services to bring students and low wage workers in, with no consideration to the damage they were doing to all of us who were born and raised here - they wanted to make their million dollars. Another problem is that once someone arrives here, what they find is NOT what they were led to believe. What students and immigrants are told they need to live here is an absolute lie, living here in Canada has become very expensive. Many workers are severely under paid, and never even see the legal minimum wage, and the problem with that is, almost no Canadian will be hired on to those jobs - the reasons are that imported foreign workers will work below minimum wage because they are trapped here, and the Canadians already know that they will only struggle if they take jobs that pay so poorly. So yes, a lot of Canadians are VERY angry, and you really can't blame them. Once again, the Canadian government is responsible for much of this, and crooked employers who are willing to take advantage of low wage labour. It's an absolute mess.

Trudeau says we need more people in health care, but we aren't bringing in the right people to fill those gaps. We are bringing in uneducated people to fill fast food jobs. That's not going to make Canada a strong economically stable country. Instead of pandering to the businesses that want to stay open 7 days a week and need these low level employees, it would be preferable to return to a system where everything isn't open 24/7 requiring all of these low level positions ti be filled.

The grass is always greener. We are not the US thank god. Greed over benefits over better education and in general a greater social safety net. The large centres in Canada have had there real estate exploited by big business and wannabee real estate tycoons it like the many other schemes that came before are looking to exploit working class people and that has made more difficult for people that doesnt mena Canada doesnt have opportunity. Those who leave are all looking for the brass ring it doesnt mean the US is the answer for some people it is. Funny we all expect what we need should be ours for the taking and we think if we dont grt it thay we are being cheated. The US is a larger market and if you have what they need you are likely to get more for it because of quality competition is high. It is here too just not as much choice. No one is holding you here things go in cycles eventually the real estate will find a level and people will start in better positions. Running to something may benefit you but running from life here is not gurantee of better things giving up is when you start to fail it isnt our governmemt the people or the country its in each of us as to what we want and weather they want to be in Canada or they don't its not the fault of tue country itd still top 5 on the planet peoples expectations are kust greater doesnt mean succesd is on the American side.

Related to thos topic, I had very similar experiences when recruited to work in a neighbor country to Germany. If these countries need help from immigrants then be more welcoming. If we make the effort to come there then we will and want to assimilate into the culture.
