I'm watching Trudeau deliver a fiery speech, addressing Trump directly. He called out policies and actions that have strained Canada-U.S. relations, emphasizing the consequences for both countries and the urgent need for respect and cooperation moving forward. We don’t want this, but here we are, facing the reality.

As an American, the saddest thing is I now have to root against America. A slim majority of those who voted put this wannabe dictator and putin puppet in office and I want to see other countries point that out and slap back. The world needs to recognize the psychosis of donald trump. There isn't any equal relationship or deal with him. He must feel like he's humped you into submission. But like all weak men and bullies, he's ultimately a coward in the face or real challenge. Thank you Canada and accept the sincere apologies of the voters that foresaw and rejected this disastrous government.

Putin has played Trump like a dumb orange fiddle. America, educate your people better. Too many of you , and I’ve worked with Americans for decades, know nothing of world politics or history except for the American dream mythology. Ridiculously proud Canadian here. As much as it genuinely upsets me that things had to come to this, it came as no shock. tRump has always been jealous of Canada - our oil, natural gas, timber, minerals, etc.. tRump is ridiculously jealous of our younger, fAAAr better looking country AND Prime Minister. \nSeriously though, Canadians ARE a proud bunch. These tariffs have nothing to do with Fentanyl. This is Trump trying to access Canadian resources for free- that Elon Musk needs for his businesses. This is Trump paying back Musk the millions of dollars Musk paid for the Presidency of the United States of Russia.

The dialog between Canada and the US need to come together for a global solution to peace, prosperity and security. Everything is about transactions with this guy. \nThese tarrifs are obviously temporary and Canada needs to speak to Trump on Global issues and yes they need our inports, their cost of food is outrageous. The question that needs to be asked is what’s Trump’s moneymaking angle on imposing tariffs. Trump only does stuff where he personally can make money. Somebody or some group or entity is paying him somehow to impose tariffs on America’s main trading partner and ally. That’s the only way this makes any sense.
