Canada's racial teaching with CRT (Critical Race Theory) actually makes people feel more and more divided. Whizqueen and Tinuola talk about how they didn't feel black ? till they moved to Canada, they didn't feel isolated till they moved to Canada. Back home everyone felt the same, but if people in Canada say that there is no such thing as colour, or they are colour blind, they get accused of being racist. \nHere in the UK most things are as bad as Canada, if not worse, in terms of the other things that Whizqueen and Tinuola talk about: we have gloomy weather and it is wet and cold much of the year, we have high taxes, many people are working all they can and are still relying on charities called food banks just to be able to pay all their other bills. \nBut our government is still not as bad as the way Trudeau has been governing Canada recently. Government by presidential decree is not democracy, it is a dictatorship. When people can't even protest against the dictatorship of Trudeau without being slandered and called horrible names and then punishing people by not only freezing and stealing the protesters' money, they even went after the bank accounts of people who had helped the protesters. That is what dictatorships are like, not democracy.

And once you're black there's a way people expect you or even want you to act. That's frustrating too.

Two vacation and the employer also tells you you can't go in summer because the summer is peak season and you can't take two weeks together too. And just for your info US is not Black friendly. And most of people who come here are from third world and poor countries. And for them Canada is heaven. Do you think people from developed countries would come here no. Why don't you guys move to Africa where you will see abundance of black people, or go to Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Philippines where Asians can feel accommodated, come to Nigeria where you will pay almost 40% if your salary as direct tax and many other indirect taxes and VATs to be paid from your Lilliput salary which doesn't have hope if growing, where your tax is being squandered by the leaders and not a single infrastructure is built, come to Nigeria and come and see super queue at hospitals, schools, banks etc that are not even used by the leaders, even if you school outside Nigeria you don't have automatic employment until you write the exams or your profession in which you have to study for, maybe you ladies should come back to Africa, you better appreciate where God gives you the opportunity to have a meaningful life, 80% if Africans are not even average but far below average yet you are complaining of living a simple average life, are all Americans billionaires, our brains have been destroyed that we believe until we are billionaire before we ate successful or fulfilled, in Nigeria only government gives you one month leave but private organization only gives two weeks in a year and the private organizations are the largest employer of labor in Nigeria. Black is an ethnicity thing. And its the only thing us African desendants have to identify ourselves. To be honest you are not black until you are around other people. I call African's by their country or African. I never call them black. It makes no sense to me. Same race, but you guys have separate history. What people fail to understand is that the grass is always greener on the other side...until you get there and realise that its just different shades of green. There are so many benefits to living in Africa. And there are benefits to living in western countries too. If you like jobbing (being an employee), saving for retirement and having a stable government to protect your investment or give you welfare benefits and having free healthcare and generally living a risk-free life, then abroad is for you. There are downsides though - while you have good roads and healthcare, you can hardly save, your mental health is on the line, you probably will have no social life, the genetically modified food, polluted air, chemicalized everything will cut your life span down. You can be an enterpreneur but the taxes alone, the regulation, etc can discourage you. \n\nIn Africa, there are security concerns but the same security concerns exist in all countries, only they differ in their nature. In Africa, I can grow my food, I can build my house according to my budget (no mortgage), I can start a business any day, i can feed on little money ( you can find markets that sell cheap food produce). And most importantly for me, the health factor - organic food, family and friends to help with your mental health and laugh and cry with you as the occasion demands. \n\nAnd now the icing on the cake - you can make the same dollar you make abroad from your country! So many online platforms to be a freelancer, to work for companies and individuals abroad. So you are making the same money and not drowning in taxes, in high rents, insurance fees and you can afford top-notch healthcare, even better than what you can get abroad. \n So it's up to you. Stop believing that abroad is better. it's not actually. I swore I wouldn't raise a child in London because of the high rate of knife crimes on the streets and the government' s lax attitude towards it because such crimes involve black kids. One of the top issues is being black. Seen as black and identified as black when you leave a predominantly Black Country. \nWhen I watch the various Realestate shows of white people buying property abroad as second home or just packing up and moving. I always say it must be nice! Because the reality is they can see them self almost everywhere unless they choose to go into a remote area then that’s the only exception but even then as long they learn the language and respect the culture they are good they are liked welcomed and even seen as fascinating. Not saying they don’t have to struggle but the colour of their skin is the least! \nAmerica is great if your trying to be self made, be your own business owner, and other random ventures you want to dabble in. But to just go there and be a regular teacher, doctor, lawyer, engineer to the low and middle class you’ll end up with the same financial issues and struggles as a result. You gotta now cater to the rich and famous wealthy people but then it’s back to never being home and not enough time for family. \nThe reality is if we could make the money we make here in North America and Uk back home in in the Caribbean and specific countries in Africa it would be a dream come true and that goes for other communist countries too. You truly have to know what makes you happy. Make money but enjoy life it might mean living below your means even though you can can afford a bit better life style. People do it all the time back home (not because they want to I know) but for some reason when you move abroad a one bedroom for your single self is to small, the car under $24k isn’t good enough, you don’t want your kids to share a room so you need a bigger house and the list goes on and on. \nCanada is boring if your not in a major city with money to spend you know why? Because people forget the population of the entire country of Canada is only a 3rd, 4th, 10th of the population of certain countries that immigrants came from and in the case of the US population it’s 100x more than Canada. So of course there’s more opportunities there. \nAnd finally imagine if more countries didn’t need visas to travel? They really would just come to make money and go back home or live bicoastal. Even just the freedom of travel half of the immigrants would of settled elsewhere before the year was up or go back home.

I don't know people just like traveling and living where they find a suitable lifestyle. I think the main reason people complain so much about racism in the USA is because of the media and very small percentage of people complain to other people world wide, overall the entire people of America have people from the entire world and people look bad on any group who says things like white this black that when talking in a bad way and not addressing there own color of people like themselves. So for instance here in America people like to be many ways introverted piece of mind not want attention and don't like others almost yelling when they talk. The fact is that Canada is more racist than US but very subtle. Canada only want white people to get the better even if they are not educated.\nCanada fights against educated and gifted black people. Majority of Canadian s don't work as hard as immigrants.

Racism in Canada is different from USA. In the USA its more racism as a generic term to describe discrimination against ethnical state while in Canada its more about cultural discrimination. From my own experience its still better to be black then arab or indian for a simple raison is that black people like europeans share many cultural similarities like drinking alcohol, eating pork and sometimes smoking weed. So to be considered a good citizen you need to have these features regardless or skin color. Another thing is that Canada is a multiracial friendly country but not multiculural. Try growing up as a poor white kid in a predominantly black neighbourhood. For people like me white privilege does not exist. I was jumped and beaten by black kids while growing up just because I was a white kid racism works on both ends of the spectrum. I also wasn’t excepted by the white kids because I came from a poor family.

I hope you don't underestimate Europe's existing problems when i went to London 4 years ago i was shocked that it wasnt the place i imagined it to be no need to explain im sure you understand what i mean. Im an Asian immigrant, but i wasnt expecting that i couldnt even see a caucasian in London mostly arabs, blacks, indians, some asians i do not hate it but im just confused i worked in the middle east for 10 yrs and i was hearing arabic speaking everywhere, also asian language its like im in Vancouver or Surrey area. So true 100%!!! Your fellow international friend from Serbia here. I was forced to leave home in late 90s due to civil war there. I thought America was dream and paradise where all problems cease to exist. Little did I know America is living nightmare and hellhole where real problems actually just started. Even financially wise, half of the USA population is so poor working for pocket change. Nothing left in the end of month. Everything is dark, soulless and tasteless. This is damned land. There is no life. Just work sleep and paying bills. There is no outdoor life. Even people you know you get chance to see them every 3 weeks. Everybody lives spread out from each other and work different jobs, different days and shifts. It's impossible to make friends. It's impossible to get normal girlfriend or any girlfriend. No human connection. No passion, no enjoy. Neighbors don't even talk to neighbors. Just emotional pain, loneliness and depression that can lead to SERIOUS psychological issues and consequences. While experiencing all this I actually thought something was wrong with me, like feeling of being under black magic attack, that's how serious it feels. I always wanted to live here and to see people from all over the world and hang out with them. However people here share same mentality, they are very reserved and alienated from each other. Nobody cares about each other here. People are also very close minded and hang out in their own groups like in prison, whites with whites, blacks with blacks and so on... People here don't realize they became androids and modern slaves. They put money first and left behind family, friends and love. It's best never to come here, you have to be an idiot if you think happiness exist in America. Stay on your own land.

Another issue is that some white families have sold off or abandoned their family homes in once vibrant community's because they have refused to live with other people of color who happen to move in. Then black communities build up over say 50 to 75 years a great community, their own churches , schools, day cares, playground, crime watch and near jobs and easy transportation suddenly others with money wish to expand in those same areas. So taxes go up. Fire insurance goes up. Schools are closed down due to so called lack of budgets. Factory's move out farther. And or new higher technologies come in only looking for a few or certain type of trained skilled workers with higher educational degree's. All of these complex events cause the death of a functional great long standing community. By the time others come and say hey, where are the kids, where is the small local business and the great gardens, farmer markets or book clubs, libraries, community workshops, and black church's giving out food? Trust me its not such a simple answer. Many many other forces are at play. Entire sections of the city and rural areas have gone through displacement.

Block parties, cook outs, neighborhood meetings, bus trips to the beaches, weddings and Saturday clean ups were all apart of our past community's. Yes some still exist. However, anytime Blacks in America have demanded equity, justice, education, health rights, human rights, and fair housing, we are met often with a back lash. Suddenly, rents go up. Houses have doubled or tripled in increase. Crime waves have made it almost impossible for people to come out and relax freely. Political changes have also played a major roll. Neighborhoods have been redlined. Even where one goes to vote has been moved. White racism and fear, entire industry's have moved put of key areas. So thete is a natural break down. Neighborhood meets come to a end and different organizations from schools, to planting trees to parking all get affected due to such changes. Local small businesses that knew each family members also close up and leave. Its not a question of oh you have everything you need in your American house. That is not it! Its more complex. The lack of kids playing out front or the older ladies keeping watch have disappeared also due to no rent control policies.

Brother, You are so right! But, I am a african American who grew up in the 70’s. It wasn’t like this until blacks integrated with whites. We had fun in our neighborhoods just like you described. Any neighbor could correct us. We could just go to the neighbors house to play. I grew up in Chicago and we had block parties with dancing, games, food sand talent shows. We played games in the street after school. When we left our black communities we had to behave like whites who don’t want to socialize with us. That’s what you see where you live. So they suffer and stay inside their houses. I left Chicago for university and moved to Newark, New Jersey and it was life there too! So many cultures, people walking, languages, music, vendors on the street. Puerto Rican’s, Haitians, Dominicans, and Africans. You should be some place like that. But many places in America “now” are boring like where you showed. Move!!!

I'm Asian from Republic of Korea. I liked USA but since a few days I'm really hating that country because of racism against Asians, Black people, people who are different religious.
