I came to Canada in 2020. I studied for 3 years in London, Ontario, and moved to Toronto 6 months ago to work. My opinion is that the city of Toronto is deeply ill and something is definitely wrong. I live and work Downtown, and have to pay 2650 CAD/month to live in 400 sq ft inside a condo. There are no trees/wild animals within many square kilometers of my house, but there are a lot of homeless people and dangerous drug addicts. I learned the hard way that living in Toronto and visiting Toronto as a tourist are totally different things. I hope to be able to leave the city as soon as possible, and possibly get back to London.

I have worked in Australia, Europe - UK and Germany before moving to the US for my master's degree and worked there for many years. Then moved to India and then to Canada. If you are a tech worker, there is no country in the world more accepting than the United States. Period. \nIn US, people respect your talent than what ethnic background or linguistic background you have. People are more tolerant and accepting, and even let you go up the ladder. Thats why many Indian CEO are leaving US companies while Americans don't mind. \nEuropeans and Australians are the most racist people I have encountered, who have little to no empathy even towards highly skilled workers paying heavy tax in their county. \nIt is better to work for your whole life in the United States on work visa, than living in Australia/Europe/Canada as their citizens.

I opened a business in Canada with a partner in 1974. By 1985, in spite of having a successful business, I moved to the US in 1985, and have never looked back. Canada was moving in a direction in the 80’s, that I could see was no longer a fit for me. I never believed that Canada would sink as low as it has, but I have to admit, compared to the US, it was becoming far too regulated, and far too Liberal for my liking.\nThe open immigration policy for me, was a complete deal breaker, and its current shift to being a Muslim, East Indian, Chinese, and African country, would not have worked for me, as a Canadian Protestant of English, Irish, and French descent. I know for a fact that the Chinese are extensively involved in the current synthetic drug crisis, and although there are many law abiding Chinese in Canada, they serve to camouflage the Chinese underworld that exists in Canada, as they do in Mexico, that allows them to pipeline these drugs to Canada, which is being destroyed by this crisis. All said, Canada is becoming a crime ridden, drug infested Muslim shithole, where Canadians can look forward to sharing this demise with their Chinese, and East Indian neighbours.

I grew up in Brazil, been living in the UK for a long time, I've been to Toronto in 2017 and LA, New York, I saw homelessness everywhere. In the UK things have been bad for a long time. Accommodation is very expensive and landlords are very dishonest. I would definitely assume the UK has become a Third World Country. \n\nI would love to live in Canada but these days, Canada, US, Australia, UK and even New Zealand are very expensive places to live. I am aware more and more Westerns are moving to Southeast Asian countries > Cheap, Good people, Good food and is not full of drugs as it is in Western countries.

It is very expensive to live in Canada aside from Healthcare everything has become super expensive , Immoving back to my country of birth ,the Philippines, yes it going to take adjustment because if is a poor country , but having no mortgage and have a house and hobby farm I'm sure I will be fine, fresh fruits and vegetables right in my property. I'm not sure if I will be a Snowbird as I won't have a residence in Canada, I do gave a small house that we plan to sell, I have a small pension and some savings.\nCanada us a nice country but it has drastically changed, I 'm grateful to my adopted country , Canada for the opportunities it has given me , but sometimes it's time to move on and take life easy.❤??&??

We have some gun enthusiasts who moan about Canada gun laws that I wish would move to the US as it sounds as though that is more their thing than Canada.

My friends moved to Canada from South Africa. They couldn't take it. The one sister lasted 1 year and the other 2 years. They came back and said that giving up community and culture for money and safety was not worth it. And that the people in Canada seemed very sad and depressed.

Your votes are important people! Choose a responsible gov't. Not one so willing to throw money around to those who dont work for it and print more and allow things to fall apart right before their eyes. Toronto does not represent the best of Canada. Too big and not friendly. And if you are Jewish like myself, there is ongoing antisemitism coupled with an antisemitic mayor. Loved this video. So real!! I think it's so important to always be moving forward in life. If Canada is that next step for you that's great, but if you've been here for a few generations and it's no longer serving you in the ways you need there is nothing wrong with searching for something more. I think for so long people have looked at Canada as this utopia and/or ultimate finish line destination but once you're here it's quite a shock at how difficult life really is here because of how expensive it is. Not to mention the climate... Hard enough living in the winter most of the year. Great video can't wait to see what's next for you :) !!

My girlfriend and I are planning on moving to the States in the next 2 years. We are both able to get sponsered by American companies, and we do not have any intention on returning. We are both born and raised in Canada, but it feels like the people leading us are throwing their young to the wolves. We will both be in our early 30s by the time we leave, and this country will not see a dime of tax revenue from us during our prime earning years. The people running this country better wake up to the fact that if conditions don't change, there will be an exodus of its most productive members.

There was an incident were a cricket match was going to be shown in the mega plex put they did not show it something happened that was not mega plexes fault that it was not being shown there was a group of Indian students who started screaming at the ticket counter. It’s because of behaviour like this Canadians are hating international students from India .?. The 2022 -2023 batch on international students are a disgrace not saying g all of them are bad just most dont come to study just a back door into the country they see one of there family members went to Canada and they should to ?‍♀️. Canada talks about how great their health care is but when you see the wait times and how they have less doctors not so great . I came to Canada in 2016 worked in IT until I had enough money saved up moved back to India and bought land and built a house just started buying more land and when I had enough moved back to India . Us Indians can be successful anywhere so way not be successful in our country. Im moving out of germany, one of the main reasons are, besides taxes and language, etc that people complain about:\n\n1. Worst food in the world, if you don’t eat fast food you will starve, I need to cook my own meals every single day because there is absolutely nothing decent to eat. Only things I can eat here are schnizel and sushi. \n\n2. Unless you come from a rich white country (USA, Australia, Canada, Japan…) you are not allowed to drive unless you do the test etc again even though as a tourist you can drive. This is just a plain racist law. Uber also sucks in Germany because they over-regulated it. So you cannot get around if you don’t live INSIDE a big urban center.

I moved to Poland permanently after spending most of adult life in Canada. It's an alien place to me now and the quality of life is significantly higher in Poland, even if you earn less on a 1:1 basis.

I am also Ukrainian born in Montreal. I left Canada in 1996 when I was 32. Moved to France, then Holland and now in Florida and I love it here. Those moves were all with job offers. I guess with those similarities that’s how this video popped into my feed. They know every about us.

Lived in the US for 4 years and bought 5 rental properties in my home country. Now I'm retired at the age of 34. It was the best decision I have ever made. I am now building a business and want to expand to Canada for my actual retirement. The US is great to work but when it's time to settle down I'd rather choose a slower country.\n\nBut tbh it can also be achieved in a good republican state in the US but I am assuming there will be a civil war there with all the woke ridiculous stuff happening there. Re: career opportunities. I am a Canadian citizen. I worked as a land surveyor assistant from 2017 to 2019 in Alberta. I had very few career opportunities. My supervisor didn't bother to teach me the trade. I was just assigned to be a pack mule/hole digger. I had a geomatics diploma and intended to become a surveyor after working as an assistant for 1 year. I waited 3 years and didn't make any progress. I was so frustrated I moved to France. France has way more opportunities for me. The salaries are lower. But the cost of living is lower too, and the hours are around 35h/week (vs 80+ in Canada). Yeah, it's legal for tradesmen in Canada to work 24/4 day shifts with 12 hour days. This doesn't take into account the 1~2 hours of unpaid work every night to write field notes and charge the batteries/cleanup the equipment. It doesn't help that the salaries are hourly too. So in the slow months you better have money saved up, or you'll be begging for food.

I grew up in Montreal and left to go to graduate school in California. I have since moved to Las Vegas (California was a dissaster runned by Democrats who screwed up everything) and everything fell into place and I am extremely happy. I make a good living here and I can usually make a same day or next day appointment to see a doctor when I need one. I remember how bad government runned healthcare in Canada was and that it used to take months to make an appointment to see a doctor. The medical system in the USA is top notch as long as you live in a Republican dominated state. I guess that's the difference between Canada's government runned healthcare and the USA's private healthcare. Anytime the government operates a system it is a dissaster. If you're looking to move somewhere I would recommend Las Vegas.

Probably Canada is making more money thanks to the savings of those who are moving in Canada and bring here all they have. In addition to these money Canada has the continuously financial benefit from the relatives of emigrants who send money or visit and spend money in Canada. I don't know if there is a statistics about this but probably somebody know well. Thus Canada is spending less than is gaining by the emigration system. Another aspect is related with the family problem. It seems in Canada there are many separated families, divorced. Probably this is because Canada is taking emigrants good for work by separating from their familiei. It was not different in the past with the slaves. Thus the people arriving here are missing the solidity of a complete family , with parents, grand parents, grand grand parents. A young family has more stability living with their large family. The disruption of the family by the emigration system has the result in more people living alone due to divorce.

I totally agree with you...I moved to Canada, to join my wife who was born here and moved overseas with me. She came back 5 years ago and I joined her three years ago. For her, this place has changed alot, and not to the better. For me, it was a shock, as services here are much less than services in third world countries. I am not planning to leave yet, because I still have faith that we can work with other Canadians to make this place better. However, I am not having any real hope from the ruling class who are all willing to enrich the pockets of the few oligarchs they seem to serve rather than working for all of us

Leaving Canada and moving to Mexico has been the best decision ever. Safe? Yes. Affordable? Yes. Friendly? Yes. No Trudeau? YES :)

We moved from Brampton 7 years ago we felt it was getting dangerous and over way over populated. I have a similar background as I immigrated to Canada when I was 6 years old. I haven't travelled across 50 countries like Alina but I'm well travelled and Canada is still, in my opinion, the best country in the world. Besides the strong passport and political stability Alina mentioned, Canadians also benefit from the great healthcare system, environmental protections, capital markets, educational system, labour standards, etc. This country has afforded me a wonderful career that allowed me to build wealth while giving me substantial financial flexibility and freedoms. Canada is not perfect but I'm so grateful to my parents for moving us here.

I moved to Australia from Canada over 20 years ago. After the draconian lockdowns and being forced out of my job by j mandates, I've wanted to get the hell out of this country. Since Labor won all state elections and the federal election, things have taken a serious downturn. It's a big clown show. The state government here in Victoria, home of Dictator Dan, has racked up such a colossal debt that there's just no way out of it. They're raising taxes and making up new ones as the go along into the abyss. There's nothing here but a big real estate bubble and when it pops, there will be tent cities all over the place. The government created the problem just like in Canada. They increased the population by 1.6% in ONE SINGLE YEAR with immigration and now there's not enough housing to meet demand. The lockdowns took all my savings and a chunk of my superannuation to just survive, and I was robbed of over a year of earnings by the government. I've been stuck in this massively over-priced hovel for 3 years longer than I had planned and now would be lucky to even be in the top 20 picks for a rental, at twice the price. It's only a matter of time before the job market implodes due to business closures and the all around terrible climate in which to start new business. I want out, but the prospect of returning to Canada is beyond depressing. Everything that drove me out of Canada in the first place is 10x worse now. My other alternative is UK but I don't feel like going to prison for liking memes about Keir Starmer on Facebook, so UK is out of the question. Not to mention that it's economically doomed and has a worse healthcare system than Canada. There are lines around city blocks to get into a GP clinic.

I'm an expat living in New Zealand and its great here, sure some not so great things, but you make your own life, its not privilege....
