India is doing a hell of a job dealing with its Muslim population and their leader is a populist asshat. He talks like Trump and offers little in return except to find scapegoats. Then that BS is brought here, along with a lot of daily life cultural garbage. \n\nSo yeah. A lot of Canadians want Indians to leave. And it sucks for Indians who come here out of good faith and excellent intention. But it's not enough. The negatives are far outweighing the positives. Yeah. Send'em home.

I don't know why some people go to foreign countries without wanting to go back to their home country. Who will build your home country if you don't return ?

I'm a descendant of generations of migrants, going from one place to another (not Roma/Sinti but German/Polish ?) Migration is HARD. But of my many cousins, most have continued migrating, and my brother has moved from Germany to Switzerland, too. I'd like to go to Denmark, but I'm hesitant to make life more difficult than it already is, with child and pet and single. But it seems like, once you're uprooted, it may never stop. You keep on seeking your home.

I live near Dearborn Michigan, and I know they broadcast adhan there for the residence. The muslim population there is huge. I am not muslim, and I never really thought about it, but it would be nice to live in a place where people shared my beliefs. I hope you love your new home! I was visiting when I felt sick. I came home asap. Turned out I had a tumour on my brain stem. Thankfulness. 4 surgical teams, 10 hr surgery, 1wk in hosp, months of homecare, rehab and follow up mri and care. Yikes. My sis moved down in 1976, was good when she was in her 30’s while she worked. Her husband, American, went off on Canadian disability and once my sister retired their healthcare costs were crazy. They moved to a state that had better senior med care. I was visiting four yrs ago. My sis had several hosp visits due to heart issues. She ended up having open heart surgery. The hospital was lovely. Care was great. Pt care room was huge. I was used to tight icu cubicles. She had complications, day 4 the social worker came to tell her she was being discharged the next day. Her insurance had run out. There was no further coverage!!! She was in her 80’s had just had a stent blow thru her R coronary artery 5 days earlier then have bypass surgery and had just come off a ventilator the day before. I had to get back to Canada the next day. Thankfully, the social worker was able to continue working to find respite care at a nursing home for her for a couple more wks. \n\nI love certain parts of the states having spent a majority of my childhood visiting since my big sister moved there. Both countries are having issues now. Housing sucks in canada. If you aren’t doing well financially, canada isn’t all that great anymore either.

I'm leaving for the DR Congo in six months (March 2025). I will be there for two to three weeks (depending on the job) and home situation. To be honest, I need to make some changes in my life, but this is one way for me to see what options are out there beyond Canada. My trip to Africa will be the first litmus test.

For licensed doctors I would think that the 4 years would be a snap if you already know the material but beside that , if they went back because they could work in their field in there home country then why did they come here in the first place. Obviously it wasn't violence or fear for their lives.\n If they come here and enjoy the first years but then the reality kicks in when the benefits stop that they may have to work for minimum wage and they now know that a person making minimum wage in Canada is makes you homeless, can't afford a car or the gas, insurance and can only buy food , that they realize that they were better off where they were. It;s time our government informed these people of the harsh reality of how our governments have allowed our once great country to become place where it;s citizens suffer under these financially inadequate conditions that are only made worse by immigration numbers that far exceed our ability to house them. Maybe have them try to support themselves on the income they would get here while they are still in their country, or if it made a condition that our government must prove that they can sustain themselves with minimum wage before they can immigrate then immigration would be denied because heaven help them if minimum wage isn't enough because welfare/odsp is like jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

No immigrant regardless of where they come from should be allowed to stay unless they can successfully earn their PR through meeting the appropriate criteria. If you can do that then i hope you find happiness and love in your new home, welcome.

What the heck? That first home is beautiful. I love old homes with brick and mature trees. Look at classy places they have older homes. I wouldn’t want a mansion. I don’t care about the cold look and cleaning so much. I have a backsplit it’s my family home I grew up in.

I am leaving Canada as well. This Nation has turned to absolute shit. This is not the Nation we were working toward and it is not my home anymore.

I'm 50 years old, was born in Canada and am contemplating moving. I do have a nice job and a home, and I'm not having any financial problems, but I don't see Canada finding a positive direction. Too many of our politicians are completely myopic, and have no idea what is going on in the country -- ideology over people. Was recently offered a nice job in Ukraine and am considering it.

The present immigration system is faulty with lots of loopholes. The system needs to be fixed immediately to make it a fool-proof. Stop taking unwanted refugees and asylum seekers in the first place. Also to ensure that all those who had manipulated and took undue advantage of the faulty immigration system are identified especially those asylum seekers who, after obtaining aslyum PR status, had visited their home countries subsequently should be deported for perjury and falsification of documents.

The government would build more home, make life more affordable

If India government can spend billions on submarines and rocket to visit the moon why can the spend just some millions on building universities and employing teachers from some of these countries to educate their students if the indians from these western countries leave their top jobs sell their assets wire all the proceeds back to India come back to their home land open there own business all these Western countries will be at a great loss 2 India will get richer by wealth and a workforce of another level plenty indians hold positions in companies that are very hard to replace top indian scientists that is a very big loss all of this will make India better but to come back to a country that is full of corruption from governments to temples to churches to police to health care terrorists, rapist, kidnapping, extortion, tefth, scammers, you name it very hard to come back to a primitive democracy ???? won't you say?

Real international student brings money and high quality people to Canada. However,there are some students coming to Canada aiming to work and to gain income back home. Why entrepreneurs and start up programs that can bring money to Canada takes years (over 3 years) to process and the number of applications is shrinking. Canada needs money to sustains the economy. Importing thousands and thousands of servants but not enough money to pay? Why don’t they look into the infrastructure and the system of the country when planning their immigration policies? The money behind these policies must be big.

Sorry but the answer is no. You are just a temporary student to study for some kind of degree or something and then take that knowledge back to your home country and apply it there.\n\nMaximum stay 4 years and go away unless you are doing doctorate then it's 7 years and go away

13 K international students should NEVER be allowed to apply for asylum. Canada does not need any of them. GO HOME Canada has no moral responsibility to welcome anyone into the country. I believe Justin Trudeau has a moral responsibility to take care and make sure Canadians come first.

Im a ticketed carpenter that actually builds homes in here in vancouver most new wood builds like condos are cheaply made copy paste and aren’t worth as much as the are being sold as 800sqft for 750k ?what a joke everything is particle board not even solid ply to cut costs slap on a 4 ft deck and no grass its a shoe box everyone is being forced to get because thats what they build. Last tower i was working on you couldnt find a straight wall anywhere and the parkade concrete was getting stress cracks everywhere good luck in a earthquake cuz we dont build for those
