I dont know anyone who thinks immigration is bad.However when the numbers are so high that it is unsustainable and citizens feel like they are being overwhelmed and thier lives are of less quality people will rebel .The citizens end up paying with taxes so they have every right to challenge these destructive ideologies that ultimately bring pain and misery to it's own citizens.

I was born in Canada in the 80s. My parents are from India. So call me racist if it gets you off. My ass is browner than yours probably. \nMy parents, and my uncles and aunts who came here in the late 1970s had to work their asses off to prove they were worthy of even ENTERING Canada, let alone to live in the country. ALL of my older male relatives who came to Canada at that time had a PhD in a science related field or was a medical doctor. EVEN then, they had to go through years of re-training in Canadian schools in order to have a shot at PR. And they persevered and did it, and did well. \nNow, anyone and their dog is allowed in, and it's kind of an insult to all my relatives had to accomplish in order to build a life here. They had to earn doctorates and medical degrees TWICE (once in India and again in Canada).\nWell, that generation did well, and now we're the kids who are grateful and enjoying the sacrifice they put in. What will the kids of illiterate, minimum wage workers be like? Probably not so good.\nCanada's probably done. But does the average Canadian have any desire to do anything. Nope. They used to value hard work and ambition when I was growing up but Canadian culture has become lack of ambition, and entitlements just for existing. \nSo, at least I was raised with the idea of working to no end and sacrificing in order to accomplish something in life. Now, I have the resources to live where I like and do. Canada's just a place I visit now if I feel like it.\nThose of you who like to sit at Tim Horton's every weekend with your beer and weed every night complaining about how your employer should pay you more obesity privileges, enjoy being served by the migrants who WILL take over as you approach the counter in your government funded scooter. I have a feeling things are going to reach boiling point just like they have in the UK and legal migrants and their kids are going to get caught up in it with social cohesion going to shit. If the same thing happens here it will affect NY as a whole and taxpayers. Politicians really need to be booted out of office before that happens. We have so many failed migration policies in these European countries to learn from but we still repeat their mistakes anyway.

All these people should be sent to Jail for crossing the border illegally and breaking the law. We shouldn't show sympathies to these people who do not respect our laws. They are responsible for their own actions, no one asked them to do such a thing. If their families are dying from crossing the border then they are choosing to die. We don't work our ass off and pay taxes so our country can pay for these illegal immigrants. Feeling compassion for these people is like feeling compassion for blood sucking mosquitoes.

Excellent video highlighting this terrible problem. TBH, the world outside of USA isn't all that bad in modern times. Its actually better. Many of these migrants already have a house, job and safety in their own countries. I Feel like the 'cartel' story is overly used to make seeking asylum easy. If the cartels are the problem, then why not go to the root and get rid if the cartels?\n\nFor migrants, it's a fashion and status to say 'I've been to USA'. They lie about their sexuality, oppression abuse and persecution in order to be granted asylum in the US because they know how to make Americans sympathize and make Americans pay their bills. True asylum seekers who need this benefit can never afford their travel all the way to USA. It is those folks who can benefit and should from the program, not the ones who lie, pollute and could care less about hard working Americans that are law abiding tax paying citizens. A country should always take care of its citizens first before another counties citizens. Other countries should care for their own citizens and their problems, not the USA.

Well as for my experience, I don't even think the education system of this so called developed countries is that great. Like take for my example, I am currently undertaking MSc Biotechnology degree from University of Glasgow in UK, which is considered to be under Top 100 universities in the world by many ranking agency. My academic experience in this university was not at all good, the theoretical lectures were pretty average, the laboratory work was very repetitive, just doing the same thing over and over again, they didn't even teach us how to operate even one complex instrument, it feels like we are a cash cow for this big universities. I highly suggest if anyone is thinking of pursuing a bachelors or master's degree from such countries don't do it. Save your money. Yes, but if you are planning to pursue a PhD then you are most welcome, but only do PhD when you've had a fully funded scholarship+ stipend.

I’m an Indian international student currently in a master’s program in Canada and I think this video perfectly speaks to a lot of problems in the country. I chose Canada due to its high quality of education. I personally also think the country messed up with their mass immigration with no quality check of individuals coming from India. If a person is allowed to be in a foreign country they must assimilate into its culture and values or at the bare minimum not force your own beliefs on the people there. I find a lot of entitlement certain immigrant population feel quite ridiculous , it’s not racist to want people who come into your country to be respectful of it’s values. I would just like to say that not every Indian immigrant is the same though there are people who just wanted a different life and embrace the culture of the country that they had an opportunity to be a part of.

This is all too true. I live in Ontario and all I see is Indians and Pakistani people everywhere. When I get on public transport, I get lucky if I see a white, black, or latino person. It's just Indians and Pakistanis everywhere. I don't feel like I'm living in Canada anymore, I feel like I'm living in India. But, I've had enough. As a Greek/Canadian citizen, I plan on going back to Greece or maybe Thailand, Vietnam, or South Korea, where I don't have to put up with seeing and dealing with Indians and Pakistanis anymore.

Indians can't integrate into Canadian lifestyle and ethics. They do not want to integrate and blend into society with harmony. They think they are better and smarter. The reality is that they aren't. They are just average joe like 99% of the world population. On top, they are the cheaters, scammers and liars. They think being a cheater means being smart. This is why majority of Canadians have negative opinion about them. I lived with them for 5 years. I have at least tried to understand. I couldn't. I learned all above in 5 years. I have seen that they bribed driving test examiners, lied police. I have seen that they cheated banks, credit card companies and CRA as well. They harassed people by calling their personal phone numbers to sell service. I have also seen that they have cheated TTC, YRT by not paying their very reasonable 3-4 dollars fare. I have seen that they did committed insurance fraud. I have seen that they stole grocery from department stores. They speed, disobeys traffic rules and more.\n\nThey are also financially frustrated and feel homesick. This is the main reason. They are suffering here and stressed.\n\n\nIt is not racism. It is a behavioral reaction. This will not stop.

it's not just Brampton, people all over the country say the same. Doesn't feel like Canada anymore but like India. I'm not racist but I feel like I don't belong here and out of place which is very wrong. Canadians from long family tree people here and even of aboriginal descent feel like minority here now. I moved in 2011 and can’t wait to go back to Europe . I remember my visit to Toronto and feeling like something was lacking. It had no “identity” or “soul”. I’ve lived in pretty slow paced countries like in NZ yet Toronto felt weird. The problem might be that it’s too diverse with different cultures, in turn losing its Canadian identity.

Were losing our own identity and culture. We have immigrants coming here treating our country like garbage. Protesting non-Canadian values and disrupting our life’s. Hi Febby, stumbled upon your video and wanted to know your experience in Canada. As someone who was born in Canada and left, I wanted to know about some current sentiment, especially by younger people. I think you had some interesting information. I'm actually sad to hear that crime and homelessness has gotten even worse, especially in places like you mentioned, DTES. One thing I want to share with you about the housing issue. Canada acts like a Federation. Meaning that a lot of decision making is delegated to the provincial and municipal level. Yes, Canada has goals for immigration. That's a super valid goal because every developed country is going through declining birth rates. Canada wants to lessen the damage that will be felt by so many other countries like Italy, Germany, China, Japan, etc. The issue with this federated government is like you said, a disconnect between goals and readiness. However, I really feel this will never be accomplishable because of all the lobbying that occurs at the municipal level that the Federal and even Provincial level government cannot control. Yes, there may be shortages in labour to do development, but even then, I really think that lobbying and corruption is keeping adequate supply from being built. From the homeowners and the perspective of the wealthy property owners, they want to keep the valuation of housing high by keeping supply low. Why else is the municipal government keeping such archaic zoning laws? From what I could find, there has been some talk about changing this (https://bc.ctvnews.ca/b-c-to-table-housing-law-targeting-outdated-zoning-rules-1.6627260) but I struggle to see anything really being done. That's probably because of lobbying. The immigration laws set by the government had too many loopholes and flaws ultimately. I don't think we are getting enough productive immigrants. Actually, the opposite seems to occur a lot. The wealthy from the countries I mentioned are abusing the immigration policies in Canada to transfer and preserve their wealth in Canada. I think it has hid in plain sight for a long time, and people have started talked about it in the last 5-10 years because of the struggles of housing affordability from the middle class. What about the immigrants that really want to start a life in Canada and find opportunities like you said? The housing is too expensive for them to do that. Really chicken and egg problem like you mentioned. And this issue can't readily be fixed with the way Canadian government operates. Look forward to hearing your thoughts. I like our politics boring I think the politics in the US is crazy, very divisive, ignorant, insanely corrupt. Voters don’t educate themselves they vote on feelings instead of educating themselves on their politics and politicians. Although sometimes I believe that some negative influence comes from the US.

Also I second that as a Canadian I really love and enjoy American people. Anytime I visit USA I feel so welcomed, they are always so kind, joyful, generous and hospitable. Honestly I don’t know why they get such a bad rep like I don’t have one bad thing to say about any Americans I’ve interacted with.

In ottawa, they own almost all fast foods, stores, gas stations, etc. They have absolutely no customer service skils its crazy how i hate it here now..i dont recognize ottawa anymore ...i feel like a stranger in a 3rd world country. Our neighborhoods are packed, and they dont talk to anybody...at clinics we were only white ones in waiting room many times...more crimes we see the names so we know..no more housing ...etc etc etc nothing is good about it.canada is down the drain done.

As a Canadian, me and most of the people I know is fed up with this mass immigration, and there isn't nearly enough new constructions to sustain this which creates massive housing inflation. Wages are stagnating also in part because of this massive immigration but also economic policies from our governments that are very anti businesses and pro big governments. Our taxes keep increasing and so is our deficit and yet I feel like we have less and less services in return. My country is trending in a very shi tty direction and this is why we are probably about to switch from a very left-progressive leaning Liberal and NPD party coalition to the conservatives.
