Hiring someone based on their physical attributes is discriminatory. Change this to hiring someone to a position like this based on their skin being white would result in cities being torched.

the fact is that those who transition have to take hormonal treatments for the rest of their life. regardless of the qualities someone who is trans may have placing them in military units create problems. in addition there is the fact that transitioning may have other long term health effects that would raise the cost of medical benefits for our soldiers and veterans. this is not the simple issue of discrimination based on sexual identity that CNN wants to portray it as. whether we have a tax based economy or a tariff economy in the future up until now it is the American taxpayer that has had to fund military expenses including health care for our soldiers and veterans.

Trans has no place in the military! Period!\n Nothing against anyone Trans. Be whoever you want to be. When it creates an environment where military members may be uncomfortable or have to share a living space hater or bathroom with someone of the opposite sex is WRONG!

I am so sorry to every trans service member. There is absolutely no reason to believe that someone is unfit to serve because they are trans. To any trans service members out there who read this, I'd just like to make sure you know that there are many of us out there who greatly appreciate your service to our country.

This is a matter of our military not doing their part in conducting proper mental health sceenings. How can someone with a psychological disorder be allowed to serve? When I was at MEPS, I was denied my request to be an MP because of a low credit score, and yet we have individuals in service that are not mentally fit. I do not wish any of them ill will. But just like most can agree, they wouldn't want a racist cop. We would not want someone who could snap while they are being depended on in a critical situation. This is evident as the left likes to point out the high suicide rate with transgender and homosexual individuals

The small minded people who are against these individuals serving because of their view of what war is like needs to understand that wars aren't fought in the same manner as they were in WWI or WWII when it was brute force against brute force and hand to hand combat. It takes intelligence and sometimes that intelligence doesn't come in a male physical form or even female but someone who is just a person regardless of their sexual identity....

Imagine being worried about enemy positions...injured trying to see what the squadron will do and someone is worried about losing their bags with hormone pills...instead of engaging the enemy...we have to run around looking for hormone pills because if we don't....we are court marshalled for discrimination ?

How are trans people serving in the the US? Exceptions are being made that’s how. It’s a hard pill to swallow for someone who lost their career because I was non deployable to see folks get an exception to that. A lot of trans folks are non-deployable and are still active.

You can be disqualified from service for having anxiety or dyslexia, do we really think someone that's confused about their gender is mentally fit to serve?

I have to question someone who does not have a proper grasp of physical reality as to their grasp of reality in other areas. How can I be sure that the mechanism responsible for properly understanding reality is not so broken that the individual is not able to properly assess military situations on which many lives may in fact depend. We need people in the military that have a properly functioning reality assessment mechanism in place, not broken machinery.

Serving in the military is a privilege, not a right. If someone requires hormone therapy or gender reassignment surgery, who will ensure they have the physical and mental readiness to fight?

Why would u want someone confused on who they are in command of a unit? That does not inspire confidence, no matter how confident they may be.

As someone who has done the immigration process legally, and know of people who have done it legally, I think it’s unfair that these illegal migrants can just come while I and those who done the process right had to pay a lot of money and wait a long time. People who are against this why don’t you understand? I have family who in their own country had to wait a LONG time for a visa just to visit the US and pay a lot too. I’m grateful for that Trump came into the office
