the fact is that those who transition have to take hormonal treatments for the rest of their life. regardless of the qualities someone who is trans may have placing them in military units create problems. in addition there is the fact that transitioning may have other long term health effects that would raise the cost of medical benefits for our soldiers and veterans. this is not the simple issue of discrimination based on sexual identity that CNN wants to portray it as. whether we have a tax based economy or a tariff economy in the future up until now it is the American taxpayer that has had to fund military expenses including health care for our soldiers and veterans.

This is not the same as biological males playing in female sports... \n\nif a person wishes to serve in the military, it is a great sacrifice and honor - anyone, regardless of gender or sense of identity - as long as they qualify (able bodied, of age etc.) they should be able to serve and the country should be grateful for their service.

To be so prejudice is wrong! Qualifying for positions should be based on skills and abilities not bringing genders into mix. Transgenders are part of our everyday lives and are capable of holding positions of importance as long as their preference of sex does not interfere with the job or tasks at hand. Everyone has a right to represent their Country if they choose too as long as they are capable and skilled!

As someone who has done the immigration process legally, and know of people who have done it legally, I think it’s unfair that these illegal migrants can just come while I and those who done the process right had to pay a lot of money and wait a long time. People who are against this why don’t you understand? I have family who in their own country had to wait a LONG time for a visa just to visit the US and pay a lot too. I’m grateful for that Trump came into the office
