I have ethnic background from Hong Kong and have been living in Canada for almost 40 years. I love Canada and am proud of this beautiful country. However, I think part of the immigration problem we have is the ongoing issue of allowing dual citizenship of everyone who have become a Canadian citizen. I have personally known lots of HK immigrants who would return to their own countries to work as soon as they have got their Canadian passports. Normally one of the parents would stay with their children here for free schooling, medical care and child tax benefits. Their children will follow their parents to go back to HK after they graduated from universities in order to avoid the higher income tax . Unfortunately, those parents will come back to retire in Canada so that they can get free health care benefits and OAS once they have fulfilled the residency requirement of 10 years. Canada do need more skilled and educated immigrants to make our country more prosperous but not those who try to take advantage of our lenient immigration policies. I think we should take back the passports of those who have left Canada for more than 2 years or those who have evaded taxes so that we do not continue to support those never contributed to our country. PS, I mentioned about HK only because of my origin and I believe the same problem would be caused by immigrants from other countries too.

I really get sick and tired of African/Carrabian Immigrants in Canada comparing the Canandian Immigrant situation to the Illegal Immigrants Crisis in the US. Its not the same thing nor does it cause the same destruction of the Negroid Immigrant Community in Canada as it does the BA Community in this US??? ?

First of all this lady sounds bias as hell how does she know how much money it will cost and how much the US has to spend they're already throwing money away and Ukraine billions of dollars each year so that's money they gonna stop immediately. I'm glad that some of the Rude Indians are going to be Sent back to their country. Canada was a Country that immigrants and Refugees came to get a start for a better life.Not this culture. All of the millions that came over here illegally need to leave.My parents are immigrants so I was happy that some people of my background be living and learning a New way of life.But I'm not glad anymore.

Canadian whites also have their homes in Europe. If they don't like Canada, they are free to go back. Indian or any other ethnicity has not invaded the country. It's their laziness and unproductive life styles that have forced their government to bring immigrants to the country to do some work and run the country. Instead of looking at the real problem and analyzing it, just make videos for personal gain. When Europeans invaded India, they too brought their culture in India, and that's the reason you see, Indians in India wearing trousers and shirts and not Dhoti. I live in Canada for last 48 years, and it’s a wonderful place, but problems started when liberal government started giving “immigrants” free money, that was burdened on the system.. and Chinese were buying houses in Vancouver and left them empty.. we don’t have corporations, bribery but values of time is very important… yes we do have some problems with economic issues… hopefully will get sorted out when new government will come next year.. not with EVM

Only 7000 to be deported? Almost 3 million illegal Indians flocked into Canada just in 2023 way to go Liberals! My question is how are visa issued even without proper background check. Should not they check the authenticity of the application. I understand most of the indians from some part of the country want to migrate so desperately thats also wrong. Please make sure you keep on including background check in future immigration visa atleast. But I am also happy to that they are getting deported because karma is a bitch.

If you are a international student you come for Quality education and take that quality back to your country to help better it! Period you don’t come here with the intention for migration or PR! You can apply for legal immigration after you graduate and after a year or more apply! Your countries issue and political stuff are your countries problems don’t bring them here! It’s your responsiblity to do your best to help make it it better! Don’t take advantage of our system illegal migration is a crime and you get punished for it!

My neighbour went to Canada in PR registering fake company… n getting fake experience certificates… there r so many Indian ppl who r loyal n trustworthy but u close doors for them… through company ppl come there with no efforts they claim 50 points n get score over 500… what about the students who really worked hard n been loyal n honest…. You want the immigrants gone, yet you whine about the wait time for doctors and medical services, many of which are provided by new comers to Canada and the United States. Between the cost of mass deportation and the loss of critical workers, the consequences of such a policy would be disastrous for our economy. 11 million is about 3% of our population. You can't just get rid of that many people without causing major problems for everyone else. We need more nuanced immigration reform, not draconian enforcement of a broken system.

In my opinion The longer stay of immigrants like 20 years they get pensions which they don't have in Canada and move back to their own countries I would assume those who are not on wait list to recieve canadian citizenship fro perminant residence status have no intention of staying in Canada in the long run ir they would be also applying for citizenship not just perminant residency status in my opinion.

i'm happy there are people here who agree, but having your voice heard only as a youtube comment is not the answer. do you know how countries in europe managed to get ahead in healthcare? patients went to the press with recorded videos about their experience. and yes, initially the journalists dismissed this as non news, but it only needed one to go with it. and it made waves. now a 2hr wait in the ER in europe is met by the tv crew. \ncanadians refuse to do it. when i came to canada 25 years ago a 2hr wait was normal. now it's 9hrs and still no discontent voices. no politician is running on healthcare, but on cutting taxes and on giving back a few hundred dollars a year back to the families. and most are eating it up! \nbecause healthcare is public, doctors and their union have 0 incentive of allowing more professionals into the system, because they all share the same pie. there are families who do not have a family doctor and are forced to use clinics, even with newborn babies. my family doctor works a regular job, doesn't answer the phone after 3:30 (even though they are open until 4), has 2-half days (one is a golf day btw) and overall couldn't give a F about patients. on that high salary in any other industry, you'd be on call 24/7. \nand then there's housing, jobs, the education system is a mess - more and more people are worried about what these kids are learning and there is 0 incentive from any of the politicians to address the issue.\nand, of course, there is forced immigration. when we came it used to be a merit system, you had to bring in money to prove you won't be a burden to welfare for at least a year. it's definitely not the case now. \npeople look at PP as some kind of saviour, but he's not going to fix anything. usually conservatives are good for corporations, whilst liberals balance their policies with the needs of the common folk. how far they've fallen.

My main concerners are human decency and the chance that a legal immigrant will get caught up in the mix.\n\nFirstly, i am concerned we will return to the concentration camps of the 1900s and the people in them wont have adequate supplies and support ehile they wait to be deported.\n\nSecondly my concern is for those on a green card or other form of legal immigration getting caught up in the mix and not being let go. I guess this also includes children of people here illegally who were born in America.\n\nFinally i think we need to stop thinking of asylum seekers as illegal immigrants. If you have come here and submitted the proper paperwork to be here then you should be allowed to stay until your paperwork has been processed.

Right now the unemployment rate is 4.1%, if 12M illegal immigrants get deported, who largely work in food processing, constructions, and healthcare support, who is going to take those jobs? We have 7M unemployed and if we deport 12M, that's 5M jobs at a minimum that will no longer be filled. You think food costs a lot now, what happens to the cost of food without them? Or the cost of building new housing, it certainly won't go down? Or the cost of taking care of granny in the old folks home, is she coming home to the family to provide round the clock care?

I feel like much of yall dont know why illegal immigration is in such an state in the first place, currently, there are no legal paths for immigration, only if youre work-sponsored, or you have a family member, so of course people are gonna cross illegally, the human trafficking market is billions of dollars deep, for every hole they cover, a new one is gonna be created, is something they already said.\n\nthese are people in very deep economical situations willing to sell their homes and abandon everything they have to cross to a highly dangerous path through deserts and mountains, at the very high risk of dying and getting assaulted by the gang members they use, an people think its just because they cant wait in a line? and this is not a rare sentiment too, 70% of people think that there should be a legal path to immigration, but unless thats solved, immigrants are gonna keep coming. I sent this video to my daughter in Vancouver, because she had tried and failed to get me on a waiting list for immigration. She says it's highly exaggerated, and there are still thousands of people waiting to immigrate there.
