Montreal is 1.8 and the entire Province of Quebec has less population than that single county by more than a million people. \n\nGo to Jefferson County Kentucky. Louisville is a similar size population and you're looking at a drastically lower cost of living. \n\nOf course LA is super expensive. To confirm as an American. Yes, it seems like everyone wants to put hot sauce and cheese on everything and it's annoying. The tap water here is bad unless you get it from the fridge or have a filter. Here in Arkansas, I think our spring water is great.\n\nRegarding the city and getting around to restaurants and other areas, pretty much. A good portion of our factories are on acres of land. However, some are still close enough that you can walk to. I'm certain this is hardly different from Canada but we are 97% rural. People think of America as big cities but usually its the local town and a pumpkin patch. I see a lot of people mention safety and this is what I can say; I felt my safety was compromised by a tornado warning. Like you said in the beginning of the video, the US really is like 50 different countries. Your experiences are so vastly different depending on where you are. Obviously there’s rude people everywhere, but I live in the Northeast, and people are especially douchy in this part of the country. Like, you gotta be on high alert because things can go from 0 to 100 real quick. One minute you’re at a stop light, the next you got someone following you into a parking lot threatening you because they had a rough day at work. However, when I’ve been to the South, I’ve met some of the most relaxed and kind people you’d ever meet.

The unfortunate thing is, a lot of people can't talk about simple truths. And if you try to, you will be called a racist, because facts and statistics are racist apparently. But if you look at the crime statistics database, something like 90% of violent crime is committed by black and Hispanic men between the age of 18 to 45. If you removed that demographic from America, America would be like some future Utopian world where all we knew was peace. So those demographics need to be allowed to be talked about if we want to be able to find solutions and solve those problems. And no, giving reparations would never solve stop those crimes. It's a cultural things that's kept around by bad parenting, poor education, and their surroundings. Sweden is a perfect example where they had nearly 0 crime until they started letting in black refugees from all over. Grape, robbery, and assaults all went up by not 20, 30, 40, 50%. Not even 100%. Those crimes went up by like 400% or more. Women who had lived there their whole lives now had to walk the streets in fear. White men had to now be worried about getting assaulted or stabbed by immigrants who were hitting on his girlfriend in clubs. Or watch what he said back to a refugee who mouthed off to him trying to start shit. They are completely disrespectful and unappreciative of being allowed to live there and be given government assistance. This is how people become prejudice. They SEE how other cultures act and treat them, and they don't want anything to do with them because they simply fear for our safety.

As someone who was born and spent decades growing up in Toronto who moved to the US years ago and spend time regularly in multiple states, I disagree vehemently with what Aba said about safety. Aba did not recognize that not only is the US like 50 different countries, with each state being somewhat unique unto themselves, but the cities are like an amalgamation of 2 or 3 different cities. What I mean by that is about the safety and security aspect, it all depends on where you live and where you hang out. Undoubtedly, US ghettos and the sketchy clubbing districts are generally worse than Canadian housing projects and such. If you live in the regular or especially good parts of the city, it's totally safe. \nBecause most US towns and cities are built around neighborhoods, security and safety is always a big selling point. As long as you avoid the ghetto and late night 'action' areas, it's generally safer than Toronto. Toronto suffers from an outbreak of car break ins, car thefts, home break ins and recently car jackings all over. Many US neighborhoods and areas have no such thing. On a side note, as a POC, I also have experienced far less racism in the US than I used to in Toronto. Without getting into a can of worms, if you live in a Democrat controlled city vs. Republican one, you are going to experience more crime, more homeless, higher unemployment, etc. You guys are referencing LA, which has become far worse, like San Francisco and New York. \nAnd the cost of living comment is ridiculous. Again maybe LA and NYC which are shadows of what they once were. Canada has far higher tax burden, way higher inflation, prices of food, energy, clothes and homes are off the charts. In Texas, Florida, Tennessee and Washington, we have ZERO income tax as well as lower tax than the HST. No way, Aba and Preach are dead wrong on these issues, because they are using LA or NYC as a reference. There's a reason the movies Escape From New York and it's sequel Escape From LA are such prophetic movies.

Every province in Canada is beautiful. That said I don't like how Quebec pisses and moans about oil this and oil that, yet always loves holding out it's hand for Alberta's oil money via transfer payments. The hypocrisy angers many.

I’m immigrant as well and have been living in Canada for about 3 yrs and I agree with all the things you said. The cost of living is so crazy especially in Vancouver. The weather is gloomy and you only can enjoy life during summer. The inflation has been an issue recently and the rent is ridiculously high. Hopefully it gets better in some levels like rent, work-life balance or cost of living

A friend of mine who has a happy life in Africa wanted to move to the UK for her kids universities but its like the voice of God said no. And she obeyed. I am happy for her cause she has a home and kids go to private school and she can go to church. I said to her every where in the world is not perfect so running doesnt help. We can only run to God UK or not. Each environment has something to offer but instincts are critical in saving a person during these times.

Every single topic discussed on this video is not only accurate but they are things i deal with every day.\n\nI work at a hotel downtown and with all the Homelessness and mental illness my job often seems more about keeping people out of the hotel than letting people in.\n\nWe were one of the last hotels to take cash and debit and we found out the hard way it just doesnt work and now we need credit cards like the other hotels which isnt fool proof and is unfair to people who dont use credit cards (like me) but its better than nothing.\n\nA lot of people are free to move around but they do not function in a way that is compatible with modern society for which there is no escape. I do watch many videos about the topic. First of all there's no place like home. As a human we will have tendency to resist to change. Choosing to leave a country whatever the reason will always be hard, you left a culture, family and so many good things. Diversity in a country like Canada is a good thing sometimes because somewhere somehow you find link to home. Imagine as a French Canadian like I am, I am consider as an immigrant in my own country. The natives came first from Asia, English took over the country which left us with no country we can call home. Many immigrants will say that French is an obstacle and don't understand why we need laws to keep it, we took our place following negotiations with the native not by conquest and always need to fight to keep that space because we're not making babies anymore and do need immigration like the rest of the country. That being said it brings the sensitive topic of jobs. There's types of jobs you do need Canadian experience, in Canada the construction codes are different from even a region versus another one. Do you know that St-Lawrence river is sitting on a tectonic plate and you need to construct a building which can resist a earthquake? What Canada need to do because we do lack of people on those job, is to provide fast track to help them having Canadian experience. They don't need anatomy courses, human here are pretty much the same but they need to know what medication is legal in Canada. Finally, all is on setting expectations, don't expect to feel at home in here, it take in average 3 generations to really feel at home, so be ready to feel pushed aside, be ready to live in a area where you will find mostly people of common cultural background. You will feel left over and pretty much alone. The only solution to be happy in here is embrasse change, go out of your comfort zone, embrace the local culture, talk to people from different backgrounds. There's a difference between multi cultural and integration. Sharing is caring, share your culture and your food, and most of all don't think you have the best way of life and other people don't understand. When you think everyone is wrong is usually a sign that you're the one who is wrong. Racism weirdly don't have a culture, a race or a religion, it's individual.

Yeah it's hard to find a job and keep the job in Canada. Even with a job that doesn't require education and anybody can do, I come across someone who is not happy with me being there and they try to find reasons why I shouldn't work there ?it happened 16 years ago when I first got into workforce and it happened not too long ago again. I was inventory clerk counting products at different stores. I believe I was an accurate counter and someone who recounted them told my manager I wasn't good. She said many of them I counted were either off or she couldn't understand my writing. And the manager had to have a talk with me. I can honestly say I was better counter than she was. And I feel very confident I was very careful with counting that day too. But she thought otherwise. I couldn't bear working with someone or some people who didn't appreciate my work or my presence there so I had to quit. It will happen again and I thought it wouldn't matter how accurate I am at counting. One of my Canadian colleagues once told me that it's okay for immigrants to live in Canada but it's not okay to work with them. I don't know if that's a fact but in my experience I have encountered some people like that along the way.

Growing up I was proud to be Canadian but after living in other parts of the world I can tell you, Canada isn't it! \n\nFirstly our Prime Minister is a puppet he works for the Commonwealth and whatever they say goes, they profit off all of your hard work. \nThey keep you sick so you rely on the health care system. Medicate you instead of solving the problem. Doctors are exhausted, rude and over worked, emergency rooms are a disaster and if you book an appointment to see your doctor...be sure you're waiting at least a week. I am just waiting to be financially stable and free with my passive income, then I am leaving Canada! All you said in the video is TRUE!!! You both make valid points about Canada. I am 2nd generation Canadian. I do feel like its expensive here and Even I have a hard time landing a job. (Recently got laid off from my career job, they said I didn't have enough experience to work there). My friends who aren't single and live with their partner, have an easier time living here compared to people who are single & living by themselves. \n\nNight life is boring here. However, daytime life specially in the summer is better. I feel like Canada is more for an outdoor person. Depending where you live, there are beaches, mountains, trails, & lakes to explore. Some parts of Canada even look tropical! We have hot springs here as well!\n\nFor the leisure & work life balance, I feel like that depends on the person. I used to work 2 jobs (not because I was bored or needed the money at the time), I just wanted to save more money & help my friend out with his business. I felt like I had good balance of work & leisure. I hanged out with my friends on Friday & Saturdays then I had my 'me' days on Sundays.\n\nIf you are going to move here, do your research, also I don't think people consider their countries dollar into the equation, what I mean is, if you want to convert your money to Canadian... you might have less money then you have. Example, at this moment, 1 Mexican Peso is 0.066 Canadian dollars, therefor people coming from Mexico might have a hard time afford things in Canada compared to a person who is moving from USA. You Guys even have opportunity for a medical care. In Africa they are not sure of the medical care. They do not have money for the medical care and they ended up on self medication which is not good. Things are also hard. People dies for no good reason. Graduates does not have employment. Everything you have said resonates with a lot of people who live in many different countries around the world. That's because your observations make sense. Only thing, though, is that your reflections harken back to the beginning of time. People have always struggled to survive regardless of where they happened to live on planet earth. Life is tough. I do not mean to dismiss your concerns, but let's think about how our ancestors lived two, three, or more generations ago (or even centuries ago). We probably have it much better than they did. As you know, there isn't a perfect place to live. But, yes, by all means look for places where you'll likely find the lifestyle you want. Absolutely! What I have found is that you'll experience a lot of trade offs. For instance, instead of having to deal with cold, rainy weather, you can find a warm and sunny place, but there will be a constant threat of earthquakes or wild fires. Again, keep looking for that special place, and maybe that process, the process of dreaming and seeking, will be a way of experiencing your paradise (vicariously) -- as dreams can provide things that we can only hope for in reality. I personally don.t fancy canada but I learnt that it is easier to relocate there and after which I can move to USA. US is said to be harder to enter which is the final destination. Some may say africa is better , that depend on the part of africa. I live in Manitoba where the cost of living is pretty close to the cheapest in Canada. Yes minimum wage is $11.95 and apparently going up shortly. Free health care you mentioned waiting 8 hours in emergency but you failed to mention if you need to see a specialist your talking months and you'll probably die first. As far as Canada being boring, where have you been? Being bored is a choice, I've lived here my whole life I'm never bored. Having said that I am retiring in Thailand where I can afford to retire. If I stay her I cannot retire. My take away from your video is if you don't know about this issues of living in Canada, you didn't do your research. So those of you looking into Canada as an option to live and work listen to these ladies because it's 95% true.\nBTW your comments about earning more in the USA, wrong! On average the min. Wage in the USA is $7.50 US Funds a few states are better but states like New York and California where the min. wage is higher it also cost a fortune to live there. \n$7.50 US Funds = $9.80 Canadian Average Min. wage is 0ver $13.50 CDN Funds = $10.33 USD

Immigrating to Canada to seek greener pasture is abracadabra. The fact is when you made an important decision that fails, you escalate your commitment to that decision. That’s why many can’t go back home, while others seek migration elsewhere. By and large, Canada is a lovely country where you don’t have people killing each other by the minutes. Like you said, it’s a tradeoff and it’s either you go to the US where you are 10 times likely to become homicide victim, but have much better occupational mobility and opportunities or you choose Canada where there’s peace and tranquillity, but low occupational mobility and limited opportunities.

Bad things about Saskatchewan:\n-A LOT of snow, A LOT\n- negative 30c is the norm in winter, summer usually plus 25c (It's COLD)\n-housing prices aren't as cheap as the video says... sure you can buy a place for $280,000 :) ...an apartment. \nA new family house made in 2012 costs $550,000, an old one made in 1980 costs $330,000.\n- Not a lot of bang for your buck. Yes, there are jobs in the major cities but the pay isn't so great unless you are a nurse or work in health care. (Best province for upcoming nurses btw) Minimum wage for the win! \n-As I said previously, minimum wage for the win! There are jobs but you don't get paid enough to live without a roommate or almost be constantly broke.\n-Rent is okay. If you DO manage to get a decent paying job, like a teacher, plumber, doctor, etc, rent is cheap.\n-Expensive retirement. Thinking the healthcare is great for seniors? It is. But, get ready to give every last penny to your senior home. A neighbour got a quote from a local seniors home for him and his wife, $65,000 per year (MINIMUM) for the 2 of them. That's how much the old folks home costed.\n-You need a car. If you want to visit outside the major cities, you need a car. In the cities you can survive traffick by bus, but it is better with a car.\n-You can't see northern lights a lot. Not from the cities. You have to go north, north, north, out in the middle of nowhere.\n\nGood things about Saskatchewan: \n-No cougars. Bears and wolves live here, mainly in the north.\n-People are friendly. There isn't as much crime in the 2 major cities, Prince Albert does have a lot though just like the video said, so I'd steer clear of that place.\n-Great education. Good place to raise a family.\n-Great healthcare. Has most covered in universal healthcare I think out of every province. Seniors like to move to Saskatchewan for retirement. It's a great place to retire if you have the money to move.\n-Lots of local stuff to see. A lot of local shops, parks, camp grounds, etc.\n-Rent is cheap. It's cheaper than Vancouver or Toronto.\n-Food prices are alright. Not good, not bad, just okay. Even a poor single mother can buy some food I think.\n-Lots of land. There is lots of flat land here. Not that you could own it all lol But it is pretty to look at.\n\nHighlights/Best people to move here:\n-nurses\n-immigrants for fast food jobs\n-rich seniors\n-rich families (good place to raise a family)\n\nPeople not good to move here:\n-single people\n-poor seniors

Agee with lots you said,the comparison from say 1970,up can be disheartening,but younger ones think now is the norm,until they take note of those changes,which isn,t very likely in a virtual reality world
