I was born in Canada and I’m leaving 2!

Born and raised in Van...23 years..have been in Japan 24 years. There is no question where is better. I will never move back to the ponzi scheme called Canada.

Canadian born Canadians leaving Canada. This is not surprising considering the country is continuously going downhill since 2017

I live in Canada ,so far for 29 years , I have never seen , inflation/government spendings of this level , i have friends and coworkers whom were born here and what I hear from them about inflation in 80s wasn't that bad at all.

I am 63 born and raised in Canada all my life and can honestly say that I have never been as embarrassed to be a Canadian since the pandemic where we let millions of immigrants come here take our jobs (with government subsidies) abuse of our free medicare system and have all their family members abuse it. They made housing unaffordable, impose their laws and religion and show total disrespect for Canadian culture. We lost this country to immigrants and corrupt government led by the worst PM in CDN history. Democracy has been replaced by a totalitarian state which has no respect for citizens rights...unless your an immigrant.

Then why does foreign-born population make up 20% of people living in Canada? Seems like lots of people want to live there (I wouldn't but that's because I don't like cold weather).

Trying to be politically correct is an interesting phenomenon. It's present all across Canada...but not so much amongst immigrant populations. It seems to be primarily a thing amongst Canadians with a native history in Canada. Canadians born to immigrant families don't necessarily share in this very much.

As a Canadian, born and raised, I am much more proud to be a Canadian than if I were to be a U.S. or U.K. citizen, given the way they are regarded in most of the word. I have travelled Europe extensively, Central America, as well as parts of SE Asia. \n\nCanada is indeed expensive and has become moreso because we too easily accept the rising prices, just so we can feel good being a Canadian. Tipping culture is ridiculous, even for bad service, many feel the need to tip 15% because of fear of being regarded as a cheapskate or avoiding offending the service provider. Companies should be paying their staff a better wage where 20%+ tips are not expected for every restaurant, cafe or delivery service. We're helping corporations make more profit by subsidizing their staffing expense. This isn't the case in most of the world. \n\nMy eyes were opened when I saw how you can live an equally good life at a third or less of the cost and I have grown open to the idea of living elsewhere once I have enough money to retire early (I'm talking around 55) and enjoy life without feeling cash-strapped. World class private medical care can be found for prices that are unbelievable and without the multiple appointments and wait times.\n\nI will always be a Canadian first, but there is room for a second citizenship or a backup plan should living in Canada become an impossible place to live or retire, unless you begin with a financial advantage. By no means am I poor, either. I got lucky with both real estate and stocks. Yet, I feel like I am working to just get by, while being taxed well beyond what I am getting in return.

Born in Canada, raised a family of 4kids . After seeing lock downs, explosion of home prices, rapid inflation, 75% tax rate overall ( income Tax, Sales Tax, Gas Tax, Carbon Tax, property tax etc…) , very poor health care system , decided to pack up and move to South of USA. Best move ever for us and kids future! Get out now while you can!

Unfortunately I was born there and wasted 23 years of my life there...but I made up for it spending the last 24 in Japan. God works in mysterious ways. :D It's just fucked up that I own 13 homes in Japan and even if I sold ALL of them, I could probably barely afford a DUMP in Vancouver...or maybe just an old condo. But yet somehow propaganda says how expensive Japan is..and how great Canada is. Fuck that shit. The West's propaganda is just messed. Thank God I broke free from that. I can barely handle a 2 week vacation when I go back to visit family. :(

I was born in Canada, yet even I am tempted to leave it. Trudeau's both Jr & Sr have certainly ruined it (and probably forever). I would also like to add that I wish you and your family all the best, but it's too bad things have deteriorated as they have for all of us, whatever religious or political beliefs to the point that we just don't like it here anymore. I'm not Canadian, so I'm very neutral on this topic, but I could not help to be perplexed as I listened to your long video, as I try to understand why are you still living in in Canada if it is such terrible place?! I guess it must be better than the country you were born in , when despite all of the bad things you talk about, you stay there.....

I was born in a muslim country, but no longer practice Islam. But still Canada is becoming intolerable for so many reasons, lack of true freedom, inflation, the political corruption, the freaking rain, unfriendly ppl and lack of community, drug poisoning of our loved ones. Also during the Covid, I saw an absolute madness in this country, that felt like hell. I would love to leave too.

I just moved back to the United States after living in Canada for 7 years. I’m a dual citizen, born in Vancouver raised in the states. I am in agreement with all of this. The economy is terrible and the cost of living is unbelievable. My business suffered and realized I would never prosper in Canada. I’m lucky to have options.

Lol. As an American I laugh every time I hear Americans say they want to move to America, especially during a national election. I was born in Canada and could legally move there today. I just wish I could sell that 'ticket' and make some money. I haven't visited Canada since I was 18 months old and never will.

Hello Saleh Family, I am not a Muslim and never understand why people from Muslim countries decide to move to Canada. You knew well in advance Canada has winter, no Muslim culture and environment, no Arabic language, hijab is not welcomed, etc, etc. Why not to stay at Palestine where you came from, why not to move to countries with same weather, same religion, same culture, same language, be a Muslim majority at countries like Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia which is next door to country you born. It's simple. A huge number of mostly males from countries that hate the western way of life have been imported into Canada. They bring their tribal and violent ways along with them and refuse to integrate. This is where to the increase in crime is from and along with that we now have illnesses that haven't been seen in the west in decades. You say that Toronto is a diverse city, well diversity is destroying Canada and all western countries. I was born in Toronto but there isn't enough money in the world to make me move back. I had 2 men on go to Toronto try and steal my bag ,off duty officer from uk said he saw it I moved so fast he didn’t get my bag and police officer tried to grab him white guy and black guy 29’s working together ,sit in handicap section safer ,I’m born in Toronto ,it’s the worst mess ever ,nothing like home ,Canadians born in Canada are just staying home ,look at union station dec 31 ,we were all scared \nWho are all these. Good video and honest. As a born in Canada Canadian I agree that making friends here is tough. Not sure why. The taxes suck. I have lived abroad in Asia and South America and had a much higher standard of living than in Canada. Not sure why people want to move here since I want out.

Born and raised in Canada but I'm investigating leaving. An absolute mistake for anyone to move here. If I stay in Canada, I would fully expect to die on a gurney in a hospital hallway. Terrible health service, awful traffic and road rage, ridiculous food costs and restaurant prices, mean rude anti-social people, crappy weather, and bad government. Canada is not close to what it was or hoped it would be.

Canada is the best country but that's just my opinion... because I'm a born Canadian. I'm not a winter person. Not one for the cold etc. Just love my country. But be you, go where you feel the most comfortable. Blessed be, wherever you go!

Basically from November to April the weather is sh@t. Taxes are very high, healthcare is garbage now, housing prices and rents are crazy expensive.

I'm Canadian born and raised.The main problem is too many people are left leaning so we have the same problems as California,to much bureaucracy,high taxes,crime,homelessness,drugs etc that's all a biproduct of liberalism.High taxes are needed to fund left wing policies like the climate scam,giving billions to ukraine,womens groups,gay groups etc the useless bureaucrats have to justify their position so millions of unnecessary and pointless policies are imposed.I'm a welder and the bs you have to go through is so extream many just give up and do something else.As for immigrants it effects them too so we have doctors driving cabs or nurses working at mcdonalds etc these problems really started to be an issue when Canada got progressive in the mid 90s and never recovered.I heard 50k of born and raised Canadians have been leaving every year for the last 3 years with no end in sight.My countrymen need to wake up and dump left wing thinking and bring back the conservatism from the past that built this country or there won't be a Canada.

All my siblings and I were born in Canada ... But we left Canada 6 years ago... And we moved to Paskistan...because of all of the reasons mentioned but the main reason is that we were living under the Tagoot (non ilahi government) and it would be really hard to bring an Islamic system in Canada..This has been the best decision my parents took for us..

i have never been to Canada but i do have plenty of friends who are tried of living in Canada. I live in Malaysia and I do love in here and things are very easy going. The best part is the accessibility to halal food everywhere you go you can easily find Halal food and people in general are very friendly and also helpful too. I have been living in Malaysia for the past 20yrs and I enjoy in here. I was born and brought up in the UAE but I love Malaysia as my home. The cost of living in here is on the raise but it is not so bad as in many other countries so far. The Malaysian government is doing the best possible to keep a control of the inflation. We hope and pray to see 2024 as a better year to come

I live in NYC, and have been to Canada at least four times, but the last time I was there was quite some time ago. I always had a good thought about Canada, because it seems like some of the problems we have in this city, Canada also has in some way. Right now the city is a complete mess; at post pandemic and with a bit of a recession and a noticeable increase in groceries to basic things like cat food and tissues. That's not the biggest problem, it really is the legislation or lack of for people who not care for themselves. Those homeless people are almost not helpable and I don't feel threatened by them, but other people definitely do. The way the government has handled these undocumented migrants is a complete disaster and couldn't have come at a worse time. We have a serious housing crisis as well, and people can end up paying for high rent, for not the best places, but they want to live in a certain location. The migrants are coming in at about 60k in the last two weeks. You see mothers with little kids or babies selling candy all over the trains and it's becoming too much. Many see it as a form of child abuse or exploitation and we do not respect it at all. I think they feel we are weak and will just pay double for something we don't need. At one station today I must have be approached 3 times and interrupted 2 times while using my phone. It's just too much and we already have a lot of immigrants here, so I'm not sure where these people believe they will find any meaningful employment and the cold is coming. I wasn't born here, but came legally as an infant. I think the border situation is a disaster and it's obvious to a lot of people that the government lets things happen that will definitely effect citizens in the next couple of decades. The city is crowded enough and I do not know where this is all going, people do not want undocumented migrants house a few hundred feet from a childrens school. I just don't understand how they let this happen....I guess this is how Biden does things and all the groups that cheered buses pulling in when it first started are dwindling down....they just want them passed on to someone elses responsibility, but wouldn't want them as neighborhors necessarily. It's a lot of hypocrisy here. Canada seems better in some places, and the same in others.

I’ve left in 2017 to move to Berlin Germany and every year that I revisit my country I’m constantly disappointed at how the country has ended up. Moving away from Canada was my best decision ever. I've also lived in Vancouver for 3 years, Toronto for 5 years, returned to Montreal for another 3 years, and have now been in Quebec City for 15 years.\n\nAs a Quebec City resident and business owner, I find the city amazing. During the pandemic, there were many programs and subsidies available. I even wrote to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau regarding the CEBA program for businesses, suggesting some changes to the eligibility criteria. They followed through, and Federal Finance Minister Bill Morneau sent a detailed response, signed by him but likely written by his staff, explaining the revised criteria and suggesting other potential programs. Provincially, my MP's staff guided me through various programs. Ultimately, I received nearly everything I needed to survive and potentially thrive through the pandemic (to be confirmed in 2024).\n\nTaxes are high, but I feel safe in Quebec City. Crime rates are low, and I've experienced little racism, possibly due to my fluency in French. Starting a business here has been easy, with minimal costs and bureaucracy.\n\nAs a gay man, I've never felt endangered. I can comfortably express affection for my spouse in public without feeling judged.\n\nHealthcare, including access to medication and doctor consultations, is extremely affordable. Super Clinics offer next-day appointments at no cost.\n\nI own a commercial condo for my business, which cost significantly less than it would have in Toronto or Vancouver. First of all, we should be careful with the use of the word “hijrat”. There are countries(I happen to be born and brought up in one of them) where muslims actually have a history of persecution, often resulting in riots, deaths. If you compare with Prophet Mohd. saws’s hijrat, it was a result of prosecution, suffering and life risk. Relatively speaking, sometimes our first world problems may look big, but they’re not really, compared to the state of Muslim lives in other countries. \nI have lived in Dubai(2 yrs), US(8 yrs) and Canada(1+ yr) and I want to say that Canada is a beautiful, diverse country for people from all faiths and backgrounds, so much better than what I have experienced living in the above mentioned countries and my own.\nThe grass is always greener on the other side and often we don’t understand these things until we experience them on our own. Make sure that you guys do extensive research in every aspect of your future lives and not just those top reasons mentioned in your video - for each of the probable countries on your list.
