The USA has never been on that list.\nCanada is for people who wants to work and earn their living. It’s too late. This is now India 2.0. Whether people want to admit it or not we all know they get first pick at jobs and housing. They are nice people with good intentions, but there’s too many and it’s costing Canadians their happiness and livelihood.

The commentary here sounds so much like U.S. citizens griping, it's almost funny, but also sad. But I've also been to Canada four times since the 1980's, and each time I am just wowed by the many ways in which Canada seems ahead of the USA. The grass truly is greener on the other side of the fence... just be aware of what you have, and that you have an amazing country, too. Comparing the US to Canada, I notice we have more freedoms here in Canada in spite of the high cost of living, and because of the freedoms we have more solidarity to call Canada our home. We don’t pack a piece when we leave home to run errands, we don’t whirl the maple leaf, we don’t adorn our buildings with the maple leaf, and we don’t wear maple leaf clothing. We don’t do any of these things because we don’t need to, because we are not paranoid, and that is why we don’t have the level of violence that is in the US. This land is our home, and it has always been peaceful for the most part, until now that Trump is touting threats of taking Canada as the 51st state. He wants Canada because we have the natural resources that the US needs. He will build a direct line to Alaska. He will drill all over Canada wherever he wants. He will kick Canadians off their land to drill. Trump will do whatever he wants because he’s a business man. He does not take others into consideration, just his own plans to meet his own selfish gains. What Trump is doing are illegal manoeuvres and he must be stopped. There has got to be a limit within legal guidelines to stop this insanity.

Yeah, Canada is not a real country. By the way. It happened during 1931. When Canada got the chance to become a country, Quebec didn't want to be a part of it so therefore it was not an official country. That means the people's right Constitution didn't go through. Well nothing like that, I live in Canada and can verify that. Problem is quality of immigrants, especially student is trash in Canada, Australia and Europe. They come to shady universities for studies, work full time both legally and illegally rather than studying and at end of their education, they have a fake degree with zero value. Just like most of the new graduates in India who have a degree with no practical value. \nIf you have a good degree, right skills in tech and some experience, there are tons of opportunities in Canada. I cuss Canada everyday but that's because I lived 10 years of life - studies and work in USA. So whether I move to Canada or any other country in the world, I would do the same as US has no equal in the world. I lived in US for 10 years, then India for 3 years and came to Canada 3 years back. I would still move to India after getting Canadian citizenship, but not because Canada has something bad or India has something exceptional to offer, but because I want to live with my parents in India. Thats the reason I left US but came to Canada to get a backup.

Lets keep i real. The desire that most immigrants have is homeostasis which is the familiar. All humans do this. Individually indians are usually smart and decent people. But in groups ( and this doesnt just include indians) you get this group thinking that is prejudice against anyone who isnt one of their own. Im fairly certain its a good demonstration of what a different culture would experience in their own country. But once given those opportunities and a chance to decide for themselves, a lot of these people use their liberties to create exclusion and hostility toward out groups. The indians do this in a very overt in your face way, the chinese are more polite about it but both have this way of looking out for their own and not being concerned with anyone else. As far as im conerned you should all be split up and dispersered to live in different provinces and cites. I almost moved to the US with my parents when I was a kid but was crying because I didn’t want to go. I am so glad that we didn’t move there. We don’t want to go there for many reasons, free healthcare, a good education system because we pay our teachers well and have good quality teachers, we don’t carry guns and don’t want them, thereby our streets are safer. We don’t have mass murders, school killings and all that fear. We don’t have the racial and ethnic prejudice that there is in the US. I have travelled a lot for my company and personal to the US. I was scared and didn’t feel comfortable at all. We know so much more about US geography and history and the US knows nothing about us. Complete ignorance. Well I have no plans to ever visit again. I love our people, our freedom and our culture. We are nothing like the Americans (sorry). I am staying in my beautiful country! I feel safe and happy here! I am a Canadian in Alberta and the reality is that the Liberals have weakened the Canadian economy and our standing in the world. Their decision to cripple our oil and gas industry and our lack of ability export our products elsewhere in the world is an issue created by the policies of the Liberals. To impose a carbon tax and further weaker the average Canadian is terrible. There are some policies I don't like out of the U.S. but the reality is that it is never an idea to pick a fight with the toughest kid on the block knowing you will lose. Trump doesn't even want the tariffs he wants Canada to pull it's weight in defense spending and cooperation. Trudeau backstabbed Trump in the past and that won't be forgotten. We need a new government with a leader that understands more than being a drama teacher and snowboarder. We didn't have anywhere close this level of issues with the Harper government. We are lucky to have the U.S. as a neighbor so let's do what is good for both nations but there is no way the woke Liberal's can do it.

Canada and the US used to share a warm relationship. Living close to Canada, our girls hockey teams frequently play the Canadian girls. Over the past 5+ years, the behavior of the Canadian girls changed from competitive, but decent, to vicious, laced with insults and injury. We no longer want to play them because you can predict a concussion suffered every fifth game or so. F that. Canadians don’t need to retaliate. Mr Cheeto is a crooked old schoolyard bully and I for one don’t want to play his game. The only thing I can see is auto sales are slumping and maybe they can blame this on the tariff policy for massive restructuring. \n\nI kind of understand wanting to negotiate with Mexico because they probably buy less American goods than Americans buy Mexican goods (drugs excluding) but I’m guessing Canada is a better customer of American goods than Americans are of Canadian goods. Why would you want to upset a good partner, customer, and ally!? It’s Beyond my comprehension…. If Trump was really smart he’d convince some factories to actually invest in Mexico with cooperation from the Mexican government investing in efficient transportation from the manufacturing sectors to the American border and the coasts for distribution. This would likely really help their economy and change the whole dynamic of all the things Trump has issues with. Fix it at the source not try to treat the symptoms.

The US has been running a trade deficit with Mexico, China, and Canada for almost two decades now—Canada only makes up 6% of all US imports while the US makes up 63% of all Canadian imports.\n\nCanada will have to find more trade partners besides the US if it doesn't want its consumers paying 25% more for US goods, most of which are mechanical machinery, automotive parts and vehicles, minerals, medical equipment, energy products, and consumer goods.
