Thanks for sharing your decisions on your move I do wish you all the best moving forward, I've been following the channel for some time now. \n\nWhen you mention about Hasting Street at 3:20, I was just thinking... where did I hear that street? Now memory came back to me when I was in Vancouver for 3 days and enjoyed my time over Canada in 2015 for a concert, Canada was the first country I've visited outside of the United States I'll never for get it the people where amazing very polite there was a moment in my life that I wanted to move to Canada now thinking over my decision after some years later I'm glad I didn't. I can't believe how bad it has gotten I'm now sure its gotten worse now. Respect your decision I glad to see your doing it, I would love to experience life for us... we only live once it'll be amazing for anyone do what you are doing, I have been thinking of going over doing content about traveling because it is about the journey and if for some reason If I like then.... go for it! Can't wait for more to come up, Cheers to you!

I left Canada in 2000 for an attractive job opportunity in Belgium. I had been workng in Canada for 20 yrs at that time and all of my education was completed in Canada. I did not leave Canada due to any major dissatisfaction with the country, but rather a professional opporunity that arose and the chance to experience Europe as a resident rather than a tourist. I never expected to stay in Europe long term, but one job led to another and I stayed on in Belgium until 2017 when I moved to Spain for my (semi-)retirement. Although I rented out the condo I owned in Canada from 2000-2022, after 5 years living in Spain, I decided I am not moving back to live in Canada and sold it. I have no regrets having left Canada when I did, nor do I regret my move from Belgium to Spain. I still visit Canada about once a year to visit family and friends, but a move back to my homeland is not something I would now seriously consider. \n\nGood luck with your move and settlement in your new home, wherever that is!

We live in a 20,000 sq ft mansion with only three bedrooms and one bath. You're only allowed to sleep in the bedrooms. There are now 20 ppl living in that house. Next year, 21 ppl...

I left Canada in the late 1990s. I moved back in 2018 (more than 20 years abroad)... and I've regretted it every day since. I do NOT hate Canada at all. Like you said, it is a great place to live, but... once you see how other people live in other parts of the world you see what's missing in Canada. It's the basics.. access to medical care... education... and so on. It used to be amazing in Canada, now it's broken ? My wife and I talk about relocating back overseas all the time. Moving abroad with kids is hard, but we will eventually do it once all the bits line up :-)

Another promotional video about Canada while any informed person knows that Canada is a terrible socialist country. Then any goes on for 20 minutes building up where she's moving to ( never reveals it ) but admits if this secret place doesn't work out she'll run back home. So many of her videos are about her self with drama thrown in. She is likable, but reveals her socialist leaning like when she praised our arch enemies country China..

Been following your channel since the 'Dating Beyond Borders' Vid...8 years ago ... The story you tell is exactly the same for many of us here in the UK now. The country I grew up in has gone to complete ratshit in the past 20 years. I had the opportunity to become a Canadian citizen 10 years ago through marriage, but never went through with it. In hindsight I'm so glad I didn't move to Ontario now thanks to the way Canada is governed. \nI put money on you moving to Thailand ? as its quite easy for 'Digital Nomads'...... \nMe, I think I'll stay in the UK and go down with the ship. ?

Any place you go will eventually face the same problems. \nJust as Canada seemed immune just a few years ago. \nBut we all just have to find a place to hunker down for 20-50 years, not find a place that will be good forever.

I worked with a Pharmacist who Escaped Canada almost 20 years ago, now he wanted out for Tax Purposes , he definitely was not a Typical Canadian and he probably didn't see this Coming, he just wanted to keep a Much higher Percentage of his Check and knew from his Parents that would never happen in Canada

I grew up in Canada..Calgary to be more specific. I have now been away for 10 years, living in Chile. I go visit every couple of years and I understand completely, id have a hard time moving back. Maybe for people who have arrived in the last few years it seems fine, but for the rest of us that remeber how it was 15, 20 or 30 years ago..its a shocking change. The big cities are full of drugs and homeless, which increases crime. Its expensive and good jobs are hard to come by. It seems to me 2015 was the turning point and only these last 2 or 3 years are Canadians realizing the mess that has been created.

We moved to Canada from the UK 20 years ago because we saw what was coming. Unfortunately the situation in The UK is coming to Canada too. We too may have to consider moving again especially if Trudeau gets back in. That will be the deciding factor. Yes Canada is an incredible place to live but it’s rapidly changing and not for the better. It’s not the Country we moved to 20 years ago.

So a few things about this issue (in my opinion) \n\nMost of the nuisance you see ppl doing - we collectively dislike it (we being Canadians who have roots in India) \n\nSkin colour brown white or anything doesn’t matter to most. I think ppl who talk skin colour needs wisdom /education and it’s laughable who keep bringing words like brown black white for ppl.\n\n\nSecond students are majority of the demographics who create the non sensical acts \nMajority of them are teens or early 20’s \n\nNot the PR / citizens / ppl with work permits as we all r busy working and making this country better collectively \n\n\nBeing from India - we feel the world (not just canada India but the planet is like 1 big family and we all got to care for it while perusing individual dreams as well)

Try being on ODSP getting $1308 when rent is over what you make trying to find affordable housing with a Wait list of 15 to 20 years while you are struggling everyday not to die and then get told suicide isn't the answer

sorry Canada but you have to secure your borders when trump wins up to 20 million illegal immigrants will head your way because there not going south and if trump starts to arrest and deport people this could end up with massive movements of people. stay safe Canada

I think if CANADA just shut down the govt and laid off everybody, CANADA would be better off than they are now - and for the last 20 years\nThey have NO SHAME !

Immigrants come here expecting the Germany from 20 years ago. German companies want to pay salaries from 20 years ago. Berlin pretends to have cheap, abundant housing like 20 years ago. \n\nIt’s a very strange situation. Reminds me of the US, where the employers act like $18/hr is “competitive”.\n\nThe language is definitely an issue, but I’ve worked with many native speakers or ethnic Germans struggling in low paying jobs; so being fluent is not a golden ticket. \n\nI saw some job postings by BVG recently for mechanics, engineers, and janitors. The mechanic applicants needed an ausbilding of 2+ years, had to work in shifts at all hours, fluent German, and the salary was the same as the janitors; about 2300€ per month after taxes.

Sadly NZ and Australia have the same issues - so many immigrants over the last 20 years - no new hospitals, schools or infrestructure, our population has grown by 1 million in 15 years - NZers living on the streets because housing has been pushed to some of the highest prices in the world, and immigrants taking low-skill and service-worker jobs. Predominantly from India and China!

If all migrants were cute 20 year old female stewardess then you would see everyone in government march towards the capital and demand all migration cease.

20 years ago Canada was a beautiful country. It is a cesspool now. It’s a shame. I come from a military family and I am truly thankful my father and grandfather aren’t alive to see what the country they fought for has become.

It is interesting it that the refugees are always mostly men in the ages 20-40 who are devote Muslims. VICE reporting has really gone downhill since you made your last good reporting on ukraine 8 years ago

It's really sad to see this ..these kids don't come from great financial backgrounds ..and looting them for 20 to 25 lakhs is like a crime. It's like more educated way to loot someone. I went on an Office visit to Toronto back in 2013 when basement costed around 700 to 800 CAD, the student's situation wasn't that grave. One could see students, but not many. Mostly were working people back then. This govt Official you interviewed needs to take his job more seriously. 20-30 lakhs could be more than life savings for some families here in India. It's so very tragic. Thanks for doing this, The Fifth Estate channel. I just hope new aspirants see this. Although I've a suggestion, if you could do this Translated in Punjabi. So that it's reached the actual beneficiaries of this whole exercise. Please let me know, if you need any help with this. I can help in Spanish translation as well, if you need to send this to LATAM. I see many Mexicans, Guatemalans, Colombians, Venezuelans find Canada as their prime destination. I knw many of them. Subscribed your Channel for the good work ? -- Thanks!

If you're honestly wondering why this is happening, you've been keeping your eyes shut very firmly for the last 20 years.

I am from Pakistan and all my friends and relatives moved to UK, US, Australia and Canada. When I say all I mean 18 out of 20 left Pakistan and they don't want to come back to Pakistan ever because who doesn't want a better lifestyle for themselves and for their future generations but my father advised me never to leave your country because no matter what other countries will never accept you as their own citizens. Instead of leaving your country try to make it better. \n\nToday I see exactly that happening throughout the world. They want their countries back and you see their hearts filled with hatred against these immigrants. Sooner or later these immigrants will have to sell everything and come back to their countries. What a wise man my father was!

Western welfare and assistance programs used to be support systems for needy citizens. But in last 20 years its become a buffet feeding frenzy for the rest of the world to just get into those nations any way they can, legal or not, to get in on it as its an upgrade to the standards of where they come from. But we cant support it anymore. Government policies have not adapted to the changing world. Only citizens should have access to this and legal vetted immigrants. Any illegal immigrants or refugee claimants should stay where they are until their applications are approved. We are stretched beyond our limits.

Mariner seems like a reasonable landlord. He isn’t renting a basement slum to 20 international students.\n\nI’m surprised that this man hasn’t paid fellow Jatts to visit this woman to “convince” her to leave.

I love my fellow Canadians, I even used to work in Brampton and bus home with all the immigrants, now living in the west coast. Over the course of 20 years I’ve watched this country go from class to trash.

Canada has so much space to house even 20 million more people. I mean per square inch Ontario is well bigger than the entire country of Nigeria, which boasts 300 million people...without an accommodation issue. What's wrong isn't an immigration issue because Canada advertised itself as appealing and immigration friendly, what's wrong is a housing and infrastructure issue. Canada quite simply needs to get to building

2 billion make $2 a day... they can fly to canada work illegally 10 months then fly entire family in and get 6 figures for child benefit so they can get paid 20-50x what they were making and not even do anything ... socialist dictator treason THIS IS TREaSON the pure definition

Immigration from countries ravaged by climate change was predicted 20 years ago. It was known that this would happen. It is happening to all countries in the northern hemisphere. Its reality. Humans will just have to adjust and not resort to cruelty.

NY and Chicago is spending $20,000 per ILLEGAL! While OUR homeless vets are on the streets with NO HELP! Canada messing up just as bad! Get rid of Trudeau!

If I have 2 bedrooms for rent that doesn’t mean I will allow 20 people to come live in.\n\nThis is what is happening with Canada

This is another one of those IMPLIED narratives. It's CONSTANTLY pretended it comes out of NOWHERE. When it's been VERY OBVIOUS and BUILDING UP for 20 years. You've got to be slightly mentally damaged or neurotic to NOT realise this.

Add AI to this mix\nIf AI displaces 20–80% of jobs over the next 3 - 20 years, and we keep bringing in tens of millions of unskilled immigrants, they are going to be more Fůkt, than if they stayed in their 3rd world country where AI would probably have less impact for longer

Your government will NEVER listen to you. You are the great experiment. Just like the UK. NOTHING will change with the change in leadership. Because votes don't empower government. Treasury bonds do. Your vote is an illusion to keep you compliant. Just vote, if enough people want change, change will happen. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. The UK government only had 20% of the votes and now they are in power and there are riots all over the UK because Two teir keir siad he would rather be in DAVOS than WESTMINSTER.... Sorry my Candian friends but it is only going to get worse.. Much worse.

Brampton crime rates are 30% lower than the national average Violent crimes in Brampton are 27% lower than the national average - Just saying. As one who live next to Brampton, I don't see any issues there. Walking around Brampton is fine.. it was WAY worse in the 80s. The crime rate has been dropping each year over the last 20 years. I don't know why people love to fear monger. Enjoy the country... it's a great and safe country! Have fun, get out... see the world and compare.

Interesting that the Biden, Harris regime told us to get the vaccine so we can keep our jobs. But encourage 20,000,000+ unvaccinated and unemployed to come on in get your free housing, money, health care and all the things that our homeless veterans are not allowed to get.

I've been a landlord for many years, I've been through a few very bad tenants, out of 8 houses i rent out 7 have fantastic tenats, the one thats always late and is running down my property I've tried to evict for 5 years but he then catches up with rent and cleans up the yard and the cycle starts agian! I would say in my 20 years renting that only a very small percentage are bad but they can couse you alot of grief and money!

Some of these slumlords deserve everything they are getting. I am trying to convince my neighbor not to pay their rent as the slumlord evicted a very nice family after they refused to pay a $1500 increase claiming he is selling the house. He never sold but he sure did turn the home into a rooming house with over 20 students. It is a F@king nightmare.

Why the British and Canadian taxpayers spoonfed these immigrants for 20 years.

To the Europeans complaining about refugees flooding your country, first ask your governments and armed forces: what were they doing in Afghanistan and middle east for the last 20-30 years?\nYour countries bombed their homelands, destroyed their infrastructure, source of income, all kinds of institutions including education. If that wasn't enough you also installed corrupt puppets as head of states who are further destroying those countries
