I am not a Canadian. I came to Canada in 2015. It is a good place to live with lots of opportunities if you are ready to work hard. If they can why others cant. No need to blame others. spend your time in education. You will be able to get good jobs. work hard and Full fill your dreams. good food, nice car, home ,vacation etc.

I was raised in Guelph ON, and I loved my childhood in Canada. My friends were white, Sikhs, Bosniaks and Vietnamese, I loved how diverse and welcoming Canada was. At 12 my mother had to stay in the hospital, quick admission, everything free, great doctors and free meds after. That is the Canada I remember.\nAt 16 we moved to NY, life was harder at first. I joined the US Navy to get ahead in education and move away from NY. As time went on I made a good life for myself, married and got a nice condo. My mother got married and made a good life for herself too. \nNow 22 years later, every single one of my friends from high school moved to the US 'cause they could, not one person said they wanted to live in Canada. I still consider myself a Canadian with the Canadian values *I* was raised with, but the Canada of my youth is gone it seems. Honestly make me sad.

I remember when all of Toronto was complaining about all the homeless living in the parks and that was before the refugees so what happened back then because the homeless doesn’t like the homeless shelters is because they don’t want to be told what to do and what time to come and what time to go to bedand a lot of the refugees that apply for the refugee system. Try to hurry up and get off the system and get a job and start working, but these Canadian homeless have been homeless for a long time begging for a long time.

I own a mid sized home in northern BC, share a vehicle with my spouse, work 70+ hours per week (when there is work) in the energy sector, have a second job when I’m home, my spouse works part time. Last year we earned $130,000 combined, took one 4 day vacation and were living paycheque to paycheque. The housing shortage started decades ago with the defunding of CMHC, which you didn't even mention. I grew up in Toronto in the 1980's but have lived in Central Europe since the 90's. Toronto was probably the best place on earth to live at that time. It was big enough, extremely safe and clean, culturally cohesive and yet very cosmopolitan...What the hell happened?

Friend lives in a small town. She was excited that there was a new Dairy Queen opening up. Figured she could get a part time job there. Respecting traditions of a country of my choosing doesn’t mean that I am loosing touch with my own traditions. When we go to meet someone, we don’t expect them to meet all our whims and fancies, but we kind of respect their way of living and adapt. Unfortunately most of us want all of the privileges but none of the responsibilities. We definitely deserve all the riches that we are getting cz we have put in all the hard work, but at the same time, we should not be exclusive when it comes to providing opportunities to other races or cultures. It should not be that as an Indian i will rent out exclusively to Indians or will give jobs exclusively to Indian students. This should be fair. We should also be open to other races and cultures. If someone didn’t open their minds and gave us opportunity, we would not have been here. We should do the same.

I came as an immigrant from India in 1968. I arrived in Canada on Thursday and started my full time as a nurse and I have been paying my taxes ever since . I can proudly say that I contribution to health care was greatly recognized. I must agree that when you live in Canada one must adopt to Canadian culture. My family is proud to be Canadians.

i am in a college in a small town in Ontario and in my class we have 54 students and only 4 not including me are local students and the rest basically 90% are indian and the rest nepali from Philippines and some African countries and i moved here from usa with my family in 2015 and even up till 2019 canada was livable and now its not its impossible my plan is when i graduate i will move back to usa or some cheap country like Mexico Thailand and work remotely i am not against immigration but the path this country is going in accepting crazy amounts of student visa is wild also i feel some what bad for some of these students they get sold on a lie being canada is affordable they can find job easily and live comfortable but at the same time these students should do their research and its nothing but a infinite money maker for collages but at the same time they are kind of forced to do so to make money cause here in Ontario ford cut budgets for collages

As someone that lives an hour outside of Toronto it honestly disgusts me and angers me to see how many immigrants and “new Canadians” are living a better and more prosperous life then the actual people who work their asses off and contribute to society. Keep them out, kick them out and give back to your people the Canadians who deserve it and work for it not someone who got flown over on a plane or shipped over on a boat . I live in the building above that bridge. For 5 years the drug addicts (not homeless) have lit fires 5-10 times per week usually in the summer. Have assaulted police and firefighters and used public parks as a dumping area for syringes and garbage. It makes me sick to see our emergency services squandered on these POS. As you can see the fire pit they have created directly besdie all of the flammable crap the police and firefighters have told us they are not able to remove the flammable items and mattresses - due to it being public property. When in reality this is all property they have stolen from our neighbourhood. It is sickening. Often my neighbours and I wake up having to call the fire department multiple times in the kiddie of tv night or AM and have to keep a constant eye on the Rosedale Valley Ravine to make sure these POS drug abusers don’t burn the entire wooded area down.

Homeless across the country is mainly white, not the fault of anyone who comes here. However just cause someone is not homeless, doesn’t mean they ain’t struggling. Doesn’t matter what race you are, living in Canada is hard right now. I have many friends who came from India, few I live with, they too aren’t having the easiest of times. We all just surviving out here, tying to.

Horrible healthcare, worse housing costs than the USA, a higher homelessness rate than the USA, rent prices of 3000 USD a month, taxed on everything, government seizing assets, clot shots, hate speech laws, trafficking children away from their parents (LGBTQ), wokeness everywhere. I live in Atlanta, GA, USA, and I have called 911 like 7 times since I’ve lived here (3 years). Each time I have called it has taken the police about an hour and a half to come to my house. Crazy!

Brampton was nice place to live back in the day. Now it is a shithole, infested with crime, violence and everything else. Toronto has been well upon its way there for more than a decade . Did you look at the property tax rates? \nDid you look at the increasing trend of second generation Bramptonians going to college and university, whose immigrant parents did blue collar jobs? \nDid you look at what percentage of Bramptonians focus on home ownership through multiple jobs? \nDid you look at how Brampton is short changed with per capita hospital beds and avg ER wait times when compared to any other Ontario municipality or provincial average? \nYour video is textbook definition of far right conspiratorial extremism. \nIt is short on facts and big on innuendo. It just shows that “Canadians” love multi-culturalism till the immigrants are good boys and girls and do low paying jobs and live meekly without being externally proud of their culture. \nThis from someone who has lived in Brampton for the last 20 years. \nYou should be ashamed of yourself.

I travelled extensively in India and felt very safe 90% of the time. Mostly lovely generous kind people who are very family oriented and well educated. The illegal immigrants and street living non Indians would be a bigger concern for me.

Everyone complaining should ask themselves a few questions. These Indians and by extent all immigrants have significant barriers. I'll refer to only indians here. They have names which are hard to pronounce. Some of them have a look only a mother can love. They cant speak as well as we do. We cannot understand them. Majority of them come here w nothing. Yet...yet...they have become THE Richest diaspora in America and they are not doing too badly here in Canada as well. Now you have to ask yourself why is this the case. They start frombthe bottom and in 20 years or less they end up at the top. I think most rational sane ppl will know the answer, other immigrants will know the answer. The answer is: they work hard at educating themselves and then they work hard at their jobs. Some of you will say they get tax breaks and child tax subsidies etc. But those things are handouts...its not designed for you to become rich from, just to keep from drowning. So its not handouts. They literally work hard all their lives. Do you see any of them at the ball game? Or out partying? Or out having a grand time. The same ones delivering your uber eats in 20 years will be richer than you. Even with all the barriers I mentioned before. I am an Eastern European national whos been here for the past 40 years.

I am American born. Came to Canada in 1981 after marrying a Cdn girl. Also, I became a Canadian in 1989, holding on to two citizenships. Fast forward 20 years, and divorce finally showed up. I moved back Stateside when my brother had his 2nd heart attack, to help him with every day things. I was there 10 years before finally moving back to Canada. I knew I would always move back to Canada anyway. Life is just less stressful here. Less to worry about. No fighting for retirement like so many do in the USA for their Social Security for example. No fighting for disability if you need that here. Concerns like that are well looked after in Canada, helping to make sure everyone can live a reasonable standard and quality of life without a battle to do so. The social structure is safer as well. No big gun issues. In the States, I had a reaction to ALEVE which forced me into hospital. 7 hours in, and 5,000 later, I was released. 700 for the EMT ride as well. 1/2 mile ride. In 2017, I had a mild heart attack in Canada. 7 days in. MRI's and every other test you can imagine was done. My total bill was 49 .00. That was for parking, as I drove myself the few blocks to the hospital. It was the only time I had to be in hospital in the 30 years i've been in Canada and I was thankful that we all pitch in to take care of each other with out healthcare. The USA is fine for some but it's no Canada :)

I was born in Peel Memorial Hospital on Kennedy Rd. I was raised in Brampton, and my whole family lives in Bramladesh.In 2014, because of this, now it is ten times worse. It's a shithole. I moved to Alberta, and my life has been a million times better since I left. I say I dodged a huge bullet.

I live in a majority Punjab community that also houses a lot of people from Africa and South East Asia. It also contains a lot of drug addicts and homeless people, mostly white. What I see is non-white people who have grown up during a period of time in which a serious effort was made to destroy the family, the church, patriotism etc. Conservative values essentially. On the other side is a group that has largely maintained their religion, social norms, work ethic etc. and is OBVIOUSLY so much better off, so much more productive and happier. There is a real lesson to be learned here if we have the wisdom to see it. Btw, I am white and I really enjoy living here but it is not hard to see that things could become very difficult if there were, for example, a major rise in unemployment.

The last 14 years in the UK (where im from) has brought \n \nworst amount of people living in acute destitution since ww2 \nfood crisis, more food banks have opened ever since ww2 \nmost severe housing affordability crisis since ww2 \nshrunken economy \ndevastated currency strength \nworst national health service performance, longest meme level wait times, since ww2 \nfewest doctors/nurses per capita \n \nIts gonna be interesting when people vote the conservatives here in to see if they follow the last 14 years of the UK. Its almost like most of these factors are from a global connection/corporate greed issue, if both left and right wing governments are suffering from the same end results. Though, in my opinion the right wing has faired worse off (unless youre wealthy) comparing the performance of Canada to the UK. There's a solid reason why having now lived long enough in both places ive picked Canada to stay in.

I grew up in Malton (borders Brampton) in the 1980's and it was all Western European and Canadian folks and it was great. Such a sense of community and everyone knew everyone. Us kids would stay out until the street lights came on and played in Parks. It was really safe. We moved away in 2006 because the area had gone such down hill by 1999 and the crime was horrible. Stolen cars, alcohol and drug abusing Punjabi folks and the domestic partner violence of the Indian men beating the crap out of their wives was insane. (I had a friend that was a Peel Region Police officer who ended up leaving because she couldn't take seeing it any longer). I have nothing against Immigration, because my dad was an immigrant, but I do have a problem with the amount of any one country we let in, and the types of people that we let in that contribute to crime and area degradation. It's so sad the slums that have become in Brampton and Malton since we left. I'm glad we got the heck out of there when we did. I feel sorry for all those that are stuck there still. Furthermore with such an influx of immigrants into one area it has driven the house prices and rent through the roof because the pace of immigration was nowhere near the housing starts, and cities think that everyone needs to be packed in like sardines and when you have that many people living in close proximity and you have such expensive living costs it's a disaster waiting to happen and it brings along with it tons of crime and drugs. The Trudeau government really messed up this country and the GTA Cities like Brampton are a shining example of that. It's sick that we pay as much as we do for government at all levels that are this idiotic. It's time we protested in the street and made the government at all levels fear the public again or it's never going to change.

In January I flew into Toronto for my connecting flight to London but missed it. I was put up in a hotel in Brampton. First time there in 25 years. I didn’t feel like I was in Canada. I felt like a foreigner in my own country. during my 15 hours there I saw only one other non-Indian in the hotel. The restaurants, limousines to and from the airport, the drugstore and on the street - only Indians. Not one of them I spoke to had English mother tongue. One of the limo drivers came to Canada for education and told me once he got here he couldn’t get the program he signed up for and he was now in another program and as soon as he finishes this year he is leaving. He lived in Brampton and he told me he doesn’t feel safe there or in Toronto due to the crime. Interestingly he said a lot of the crime in the Indian community never gets reported to the police.

I'm all for immigration to help a country grow however, what Canada has done is first, bring in too many at once and not INTEGRATED the new comers. \n\nFact is, if you want to go to a country because of their freedom and job opportunity then don't come and try to change the country into what you just fled from!!\n\nAnd this is what has happened. Canada has allowed our laws and even speech change to cater to a foreign culture and political idea. Canada became great for what it was and ways it was not for socialism and other country politics. We've got road sign in Pakistan and some in Mandarin and some in blah blah blah. Too many languages creates divide and this is the other issue. Our own country, a country that designates french or English has signs and communities designated in foreign languages. This is not acceptable and is a cause creating divide. You come, you learn the language and INTEGRATE! We loved our country, you wanted to come for what our country has so don't try to turn it into the country you fled! And stop alienating the people who were here before you. \n\nSo, these are the two BIG ISSUES Canadians complain about. Rightfully so. \n\nI myself don't live in Ontario but find Alberta has become a foreign country and I feel like I am in danger now in my own lands. Integration is so important, and Trudeau bringing in millions in a short time line did not integrate but now caused a great deal of violence and many new comers confused and hateful to Canadians when they simply don't understand that what they have done is not integrate but are overtaking and we feel at war with them.
