It's Not enough and this was Not Fair! We came here in this country and vetted for 6 years by Immigration and all proper education requirements met. My mom worked so hard to be able to come into this Country when I was 14yrs old, there were Rules and Criteria. Now, it's all a Joke. People can come into Canada without proper oversight and Money works. As long as you have huge sums to pay, they let you in, easily, 3months you get Permanent Resident status, we worked hard for 6 years, even doesn't matter if you're a criminal from back home, they let you in, as long as you have money. No proper Vetting process! What has this Current government done to this once great country? They ruined this whole Canadian immigration dream for everyone. My family feels angry and cheated on! I worked 3 jobs since I came here young upto this day 26 years later, pay my taxes and these 'cheaters' get paid social assistance. Very Shameful Canada!

This isn't just a white or black thing it's an out of control immigration system where people use loopholes in the system to gain residency. This anti-immigration isn't isolated in fact most immigrants who's lived in Canada all their lives have expressed deep concern that the government is letting in too many from one nation and the lopsided admittance is part of the concern. The metrics of the majority of new immigrants come from the Middle East and India how can anyone not notice the concern that many have been expressing for a decade. Canadians aren't against immigrants it's that we didn't expect to just let anyone in without actually knowing how to speak English or have etiquette and follow laws. Many have concerns that many of the new comers can't even speak English yet they have license to drive and how do we get around most bend the rules or the law. Myself I've notice a skyrocketing scam scheme and how can you not equate that to the rise in our broken immigration policy. The last time I heard you had to have certain criteria to be considered to immigrate and why is that some countries like from the South Pacific you need to know English have money in the bank and a skill or degree on a list of acceptable qualifications. So many who can't even read or write English have jobs, drive a car, then to make matters worse have housing yet we have a crisis? Most Canadians see the pattern and most are educated enough to know there is something to be said, loopholes and when they find it they abuse the system.

I agree with the woman talking about adapting to the culture in the country you’re in. ABSOLUTELY CORRECT but do note that these Indians are not coming for free, on average close to 90,000 Indian Students come to Canada to study with an average 2 year program, and each one of them spends at least CAD 40,000 for each year! Now if you do the math they inject about 3.6 Billion dollars every year! Which makes International student one of the top 10 source of revenue for Canada! I met a hospital Medical Lab Tech, who was a Doctor in his birth country!! Another immigrant was a Lab Tech working as a Lab Assistant! As someone born in Canada like many other Canadians we don't want more war criminals in our country send them all back where they came you're not wanted or needed.

What we need is better paying jobs with benefits. Corporations flow of money must be followed, how much is leaving the country. My experience has been different. Came at age 48 with family mostly for children future. Initial struggle followed by more than 20 years full time work in a company owned by Canadian but most of us working immigrants from different countries. Had a wonderful experience working as a team. Company grew from 5 including owner to about 30 when I retired. Most of of my contribution was from skills I obtained on the job. The flexibility I got was help to spouse and children. The three of them achieved good outcomes. Taxes are high. I never worried about that as children had professional education with no financial help. Only my steady basic facilities provided as I had steady though lower income than what I had back home in relative terms. What we get back from taxes we pay in health civic facilities education for children is great return of taxes paid. What I got was quality living. No luxuries. My purpose of coming here more than fulfilled. Happy family. Grand children now enjoying higher quality of life than what I had or my own children had. I do notice recent trends of immigrants expectations not very encouraging. I have enjoyed the multicultural atmosphere friendship and regard for each other. My colleagues and I have been of great asset to the company we worked in.

As a permanent resident and has been since 2018, this scares me (and have been coming to Canada since 2008). Does this mean I will be kicked out of the country?? I'm married to a Canadian and I don't want to go back to the US

They also taken over our post secondary /university position. But today Ontario with 18% acceptance of international students to medical school (of course they went back to their countries to practice,leaving us short of family doctors) has now ban this practise to medical schools. Hopefully other provinces. will do the same. There are many of young Canadians who want to study medicines who couldn’t get in. My friends daughters had to go to Caribbean’s and UK to study and eventually has to stay there because they met their partners there and also could not convert their degrees to return to Canada. Canada only accept 400 out of 1400 doctors to come back here per year.

This is disheartening... this means that my husband will never be able to live with us. My children will grow up without their father, and for some reason, Canadians are OK with Canadian children growing up in a broken home. It's going to take 35 months, for my husband to be able to immigrate to this country. That's 2 1/2 year that my kids won't have a dad, our son especially is suffering. He has a serious disease, is often hospitalized, and I'm a married woman living as a single mother. Now I'll need to rely on the government for more financial support, and my 6 year old is actually depressed because his dad is years away from being with him. I work full time, have a great home, and a side business. But now I'll need to depend on meds and disability support to take care of my child, when he has an ablebodied father that can support us, especially when our child is in one of his regular hospitalization. You all are cruel.

I agree with the international students coming and others who are coming in with false papers degrees when all they do is lying they are this and that taking all the jobs ripping the systems scamming the banks cra health every sector of the industry they are in transportation my god enough is enough they never put in the system and who put in can’t reap the benefits the young can’t fine jobs the security industries is full of these people the Canadian born people can’t fine work they come saying they are in school and taking all the dam jobs away u can’t go to their countries and behaviour like this fed up of their ways people are talking about them the real estate also they mess up what else soon no one can live or work in Canada anymore cap the amount of them that is coming in curse all u haters want I couldn’t care give the Canadian young people a chance again they need to no that they belong clamp down on the fake students please thank u it’s not about racist or anything like that but give the Canadian young people a chance again

Government needs to take care of actual canadians first ( indigenious, poor, seniors, disabled) before taking people from other countries.

As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! Remember, the system in France is TOTALLY different!!!!\nAlso, reading from comments, I notice that many here have NEVER alert their own country!!! Stop blaming foreigners if YOU, YOURSELF DID NOT even get the BALLS to dare studying in places different than yours (like Germany, France, Sweden, Japan…)!!!! Blame and NO BALLS!!! “Grosse gueule mais Pas de couilles” as we say in France!!! Go to Europe if you dare, deal with another language, other cultural codes (we French are big complainers and are very very rude when behind wheels!!!! And we hate people who cannot speak French properly … like North Americans) and We will see how good some of you will do!!!

Why now ? Is the Liberal Government afraid the balance tilt in favour of the opposition party ? \nWhy to ban educated people, who share our culture and values, with good command of one of the official languages, to enter the country ? \n ....after importing by the millions those who are the opposite and are not interested in building Canada, but taking advantage of us and our generous system ?\nToo little too late trudy... even if you get the election by fraud again. Marc miller you don’t care about keeping Canadians safe you have brought terrorists into this country including that man and his son from isis you don’t do proper background checks to make sure people who come across the border aren’t criminals you let anyone come across the border look at all the crime and violence in cities like Toronto this is caused by you Marc miller and all the liberals including Justin Trudeau because you allow this to happen you won’t do this the proper way because your government is too lazy and only cares about themselves so stop lying close the borders and hire people who will do background checks on people coming across the border most of these people aren’t here legally and need to be sent home as well because they don’t want to accept Canadian culture they want to change it into their own culture from back home you either accept Canadian culture or don’t come here at all!

One major issue which gets ignored is that the money these immigrants (specially Indian)make gets recycle back to their own home country instead of getting recycle here to improve the economy here in Canada. \nThey are sending Canadian made money back home to get invested and spent. They rather live cheaply here and scam the system to save pennies here than spend money here to help the economy. This is pure Indian mentality about feeling so happy and proud when you cheap out of stuff for example not giving tips in a restaurant even though when service charge is not added.
