I've seen so many ads about immigration to Canada on Instagram, here in Indonesia.\nA former coworker of mine is saving now to hopefully immigrate to Canada one day. \nThe online ads give us impression that Canada is in serious need of immigrants because of birth rate decline. \nI would love to go to Canada and the western countries one day, but not as an immigrant. I want to be a traveller there.\nI was raised in poverty and brought myself out of it. I cant imagine going back to poverty by being am immigrant in a foreign country. That would be a no for me.

I don't understand why people do not put the blame where it belongs - on Trudeau. He is the one that has created this entire crisis by purposely continuing to allow huge numbers of immigrants, half a million to million a year!! People do not see that Trudeau is doing this on purpose to undermine our Canadian culture and country. Part of the problem is creation of a speculative housing market where housing a basic human need is primarily constructed for stock market like trading speculation rather than providing shelter for people. If you already own a house or condo that you are already living in why should you be allowed to personally buy multiple housing properties. Sorry--I feel the need to correct one key aspect of this story. What is happening in Poland, Baltics, and Finland (with regard to migrants) is wholly different than what is happening in Greece. As a landlord - I had this happen to me .\n$35k in unpaid rent which I never got back after the tenant moved out .\nI learnt that the tenant had done this to 2 other landlords prior .\nIt’s a shame - my house was priced fairly and was a brand new home . There was no reason to pay other than greed .\nI have since sold the home and moved on : it’s one less home for people who can’t afford to buy at the moment to rent .\nThis stupid system needs to be overhauled .

Only big landlords with staff can really run rentals. Mom and pop landlords have no respect and are targeted. Well, Millennials need to pay higher rents. Everybody ends up paying for theft. So many homeless in southwestern Ontario right now. Bad tenant culture right now. They ride high on abuse but then no one wants them.

A few US states have turned rent theft and squating as a criminal matter, which is what the provinces should do. Both tenants and owners need protections, and quite frankly, tenants need owners to provide them with a place to rent. The tenants act protects tenants from criminal owners, more is required to protect owners from criminal tenants.

I have only been in Canada for seven months now, but I noticed a few things about its economy that led to this mess. I noticed that Canada has no globalized companies, meaning the government only makes a little money from doing business with other nations. Businesses here are lazier than their neighbor, the USA, or even in my country, Vietnam, which could be due to a lack of competitors. Cad also has the biggest forest reserve and largest oil deposit but is the lowest exporter. So I wonder how on Earth it stays in the top 10 wealthiest countries with such lazy activities. Up to this point, foreigners are the biggest income of Canada; this country is truly built on immigrants. To keep the country running, it must attract more foreigners. Without int' students, how much do citizens have to pay to keep schools running? If you view it differently, the government also sells the PR through SV Visa because, let's be honest, if millions of investors have invested, there should be something or at least one globalized company, but there are none. From $75k to $200k, foreigners can buy PR for every family member. It is considered affordable for Asian families compared to the USA or Australia. On top of that, another scam is a carbon tax, which means the government needs to learn how to make money rather than invent taxes and sell dreams to foreigners.

Honestly as an Immigrant I was definitely lied to by the country of Canada, and tbh this concern is lined with racism to an extent, but there are some valid concern for the most part. \n\nCanadian universities came to me high school, one of the academically successful high schools on my island and tried to take every single high performing student. The percentage I saw is small bcos I know that the Indians are more than that in Brampton. Is just that they don't use Brampton address because of auto insurance. My grandparents on my mom's side came over from Scotland after WW2. They bought one of the cheap plots that were available then, but then my grandfather BUILT their house. He was a tradesman (dual carpentry/electrician certified). Lots of that house is still original, with occasionally new paint, and looks new.\n\nFast forward 75 years and we're importing Business Majors and IT specialists to cities that need construction workers and trades people. The houses being built start falling apart before you finalize the paper work. That's another long process to be approved to work here.
