My opinion as a Canadian with no first hand life experience in the states but personally know plenty of people who do and follow many Americans on social media.\n\nI like to look at both sides of the story when I don’t personally know any better. First thing is when it comes to health care, Canadians use only the cost as an argument but never the quality. The only time I will ever use the government funded healthcare is for a broken bone. Any other issues my knowledge and experience makes me stay far and clear away from the hospitals. However I was talking with a retired business man who spends winter in Florida and he said he had a health issue while there, was referred to a certain doctor by a friend, made an appointment within a few days, not a yearlong waitlist, and with one visit had his issues fixed. Paid the bill and was done with it. Not a story of take this for a while then come back, come back to get referred to a specialist, wait a few months for the specialist, get an appointment 6 months later, and after surgery you feel only slightly better because in your mind you should be better. I do believe Canadian healthcare is low quality and sadly designed for the government to make money. American healthcare is private and needs to offer good quality services in order to succeed.\n\n\nNext subject is violence. Everyone I know and follow in the states have never had any major acts of violence towards them. I believe just like Canada, some areas are more prone to violence but since the states have 10x more people, they have 10x more violent spots which makes it seem worse. Rural Canada and rural United States seems to me very similar in the way people treat each other. \n\n\nI wouldn’t be scared to move there if that’s what would be best. Doubt it’ll happen because I enjoy having the amount of unpopulated area to go riding atvs, snowmobiles, and whatever else. Seems like the states have less area that everyone can freely enjoy but I could be wrong

It's not school shooting that is the most shocking. What is most shocking is the moneyed interests which prevent any legislation that would actually take guns out of the hands of the disturbed people who commit the atrocities. All of US society is complicit in those children's deaths and they do nothing but send thoughts and prayers.

No they want to come here spend our hard earned tax dollars and send our money back to their country and build houses and we as Americans can't go in their country and take over they'll kill our ass and put us in the garbage . My mom and brother are in Canada. I'm trying to move her to Texas with me. I make great money in Real Estate and IT. She doesn't want to leave Toronto, even though she can't afford it. I travel back and forth to drop money for her. All though she doesn't ask me, I know it helps. We're all from Jamaica and unfortunately I was separated from her for 30 years. I'm glad, I'm in a position to take care of her. If I can only convince her to leave Canada for good. My little brother wants to come to America with me.

1. Canadians don’t call this their home! They move here, Work here, and send money “ home “ making them a detriment to our nation \n\n2. We can't afford a roof over our heads. We can't afford healthcare. We can't afford school. The rich are taking all of our money and lining their pockets, the corporstions pockets, the military complex, the police depts. Republicans and corporate dems have been rerouting our tax money away from public education and towards private charter rich people schools for the last 30 years. Our country is in trouble. Rich people are playing monopoly ruining our economy and our society.

I just love the propaganda effect t The news effect of it. Buying hotel rooms for illegal aliens to stay in? And for what? To take American jobs, and yall are worried about ai, a way to build up American dollars because it's worth more, to take it back to Mexico's economy instead of America's/American Indian's economy! I know how the game works. Before you know it our banks are closing, ma and pop's grocery store's closing, the gas station is an abc store and dry towns don't exist, the remaining jobs are being shipped over seas, until there goes America. When was this ever accepted?! Send forces. What I want to know is why aren't military troops shooting border jumpers? Hell might as well expand the borders to include South America since it's already the district of Columbia. At least then the money would still be going into America's economy.

It’s horrific how these ppl are forced to live, that is NOT life..reading the comments, it’s disheartening to see. Put yourselves in their shoes! Ask yourself many questions. But if we won, made you go back to where you came, would you have gone freely? Hell no! We HAD rights, and it was taken away….and take a long hard look at what’s happening today! Country against country..race against race..ppl no longer believe in God and our world is turn to shit…ppl walk past a homeless child and do fuck all (I’ve seen it many times..and yes, I help) stop being so fucking greedy, if you want to help take care of your homeless, then get off your asses and start helping your homeless ppl…will that happen? If you have skills study in india in government aided colleges finish a bachelors or masters then start to work gain experience support family and try for better jobs anywhere try to move step by step first to gulf countries make money get better exposure then try for Europe or Canada don't ask parents to take loans for education now on this digital world information and education can get from anywhere in the world

Finally the truth about this ruthless business of making money off poor kids who are sold a dream of good life and send to live a life which is actually a nightmares. I was a student in Canada and seen this first hand. Students packed in rooms and colleges cancelling semesters for new students. This is all true. Even the best colleges do that. Every Indian who wants to go to Canada take this as a warning plz. And for me i came back to India and setup my business here and never wish to go back to Canada except one day with my family only to visit. Hope this msgs helps ppl who are confused. Take care

As much as I sympathize with them... The USA can barely take care of their seniors, disabled, veterans, homeless and can not handle a mass exodus. Admit 5 and everyone will take that as an invitation. Nip it in the bud. Everyone coming across the border is coming with their hands out for food, money, housing. Close the border. Americans tax dollars shouldn't have to pay for refugees when they're struggling to get by themselves. People can't afford to go to college in the U.S., it's so expensive. Cost of living goes up all the time. I have multiple degrees and can't really find a job and when I do, they always want to pay very low and def much lower than they started your counterparts at. There's a ridiculous homeless issue in the U.S. where I've met plenty that apply for jobs all the time and do not get hired. They even ask random people if they can work for them just for food, literally just for food. There are people everywhere that take things for granted including the U.S. but that's not the issue here. There are U.S. leaders that steal your money in taxes and retirement funds then misuse the funds. How is it fair for a hard working individual to have 30% of their gross removed from there paycheck then still required to pay the government when filing income taxes. You can buy a house, pay it off and never own it. The government is your forever landlord because property taxes are always due and are increased whenever authorities want them increased. Every country has serious issues.

America has fought HARD for centuries to achieve freedom. We’ve shed infinite amounts of blood for the rights we have. Freedom isn’t free. It takes centuries to get to that. People think it sucks to have to spend ten years becoming a legal citizen here, well count yourself lucky that you didn’t have to shed any blood, lose any family members, fight against an oppressive enemy for your rights, or lose your house in a battle for a free country. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, look up American history. Count how many battles were fought; how many wars; how many people died; how many Americans became POW’s on our own land during the Civil War. Look how hard it’s been. Look how hard it is now. We never stop fighting for what we want. Freedom takes work. America isn’t some island paradise. It never has been. We all live on the same earth. We all experience hardship. And there’s no amount of money, illegal border crossing, or anything else that can keep us from that harsh reality. In life we’re going to suffer. That’s just how it is. Stop thinking that illegally crossing a border is somehow going to solve all problems. It won’t. The grass isn’t greener on the other side just because. Bloodshed makes that grass green: Sacrifice. Hard, laborious work; and centuries of time.

Wouldn’t be as much of a problem if the American government were to take care of its own ppl instead of sending money elsewhere. Everyone always points the finger at migrants for the economy being rough. When I’m reality it our own government. The lies that are being told to these people to make them put themselves at risk to come here is disgusting. Do you all honestly think the U.S. can handle this influx? Many, many of these people have no home to go to, no money, no assets, no idea where they are going. The democrats are using them as pawns in their political agendas. And to take the money that us Americans work hard for and pay for this is despicable. We paid 40k in taxes and special programs last year and we don't get a single word in as to where it gets spent. Our social security will be eaten up by the time we are old enough to collect it and we will probably never use disability due to a moral standard. I'd much rather keep all of our $ and then give it to whom I feel deserves it. Many of these people are not bad people, but they will use our handouts and most will not try or have the ability to get off of them. This administration is the most inhumane, America hating administration I have ever witnessed or heard of here in the U.S.

That means that 100% of these people are not asylum seekers nor refugees, they are economic migrants and have ZERO right to even attempt entry in to America legal or otherwise, as they have traversed across 10 SAFE COUNTRIES where their asylum needs were met. And starting off the first seconds of your entry in to a host country by molesting its National sovereignty and disregarding its laws makes you a scum fuck who doesn’t deserve to be here. If you really needed asylum, you would go to the next safe country. The moment you are safe and choose to go further, is the moment you are no longer a refugee or asylum seeker, but a greedy selfish chooser pretending to be a beggar. And all it costs is basic rule of law, functional governance, a loss of fairness on the part of legal immigrants, clogged up systems for genuine refugees, and the native working class of America have to compete with foreigners for low skilled jobs and their taxes get siphoned off with every illegal migrant that enters the nation. Somehow no one in politics has the stomach to do mass deportation nor border defense, hmm I wonder why? Oh, Canada has 7 large banks that do all the consumer lending. No wonder the banking sector is stable. Now, are loans available for investing in business? Nope. Canadian banks would rather buy money market funds in the USA and the USA take the Canadian savings and loan to an American who invests in Canada and takes the profits back to the USA and pays off the loan who pays off Canadian banks.
