The best advice I ever got was to rent rooms and share the common areas. That way they are boarders and not tennants and they don't have the same rights. Lots of problematic reasons. 1.. Labor shortages are temporary but immigration is permanent. 2.. Extraordinary lax in selection for students. One can easily gauge student quality by asking for common standardized scores available in India. Canada took in so many poor quality students that the whole system is collapsing. 3.. Religious fundamentalists, narcos and gangsters.... why Canada why?

Just end the whole student program for 4 years and then see where you are. By then most will have graduated and moved on.

Small landlords in Ontario have no power. I get that slum corporations and shady landlords take advantage of the system, but small landlords are completely at the mercy of tenants. The LTB takes forever—at least six months—to schedule a hearing. And even then, if you make one tiny mistake on the application, you’re screwed. You have to re-file, pay more paralegal fees, and start the whole nightmare over again. It’s absolutely ridiculous and so unfair! Tenants game the system knowing they're protected under the RTA. Ontario needs new rules.

Idk i think you need to realize that we also have our bias in addition to you having yours. Meaning, to most of us , excepting the most left leaning socially progressive pockets and contexts , which even then wouldn’t be viewed that way to us just acceptable lol ?\n\nOur baseline/political middle in Canada is A LOT more left leaning than the baseline normal/political middle in the states. So while people tend to equate your democrats to our liberals or our NDP , and equate your republicans to our conservatives. It’s just not accurate. If you throw our span of parties and American span of parties on the SAME spectrum /polarity line. You might be surprised to realize how shifted left our systems range politically is from the American one. \n\nThis hugely impacts the average normal expectation , what we clutch our pearls at hearing coming out of the mouths of the general public , and our range of what we expect to not hear or see ranted about unless they’re to our view , extremely right leaning politically /social values. \n\nFor us this means that actually genuinely , a lot of America does get experiences by us as bat shit crazy racist homophobic immigrant intolerant culturally and religiously ignorant , and somewhat backwards in larger or smaller amounts ? I know that’s not fun to hear but. Being the most diverse country based so much on immigration means. The insane things that came out of my own cousins mouths when they hear our friends or partners of various cultures , our not understanding how big a deal and incredibly insulting apparently it is to have assumed someone American was lgbt lol the list goes on. It's funny, but I moved from Russia to Germany in 2019, believing that it was a rich country with cool jobs. During a few years of living in Germany, I understood that I have less money after taxes than in poor Russia. Besides, the prices of everything are higher. 1000 Euro is enough to live in Russia as well as 3000 Euro in Germany. I'm not joking. Germany is just a good picture, but you will struggle to live there. And I can't image how I could buy an apartment there. For a flat in Berlin I need around 300k, but from my 72k income I could save only 10-12k. It could take the whole adult life to buy a flat. That's unacceptable for me

This Student Visa to Work Permit thing from years ago has been stealing jobs from Canadians for too long. This group will accept and even counter offer potential employer with lower wage so they can get the job and apply for permanent residency. After that they apply the whole family to come over. Given they are not exactly rich to start with, they and their family end up costing our social assistance more. Send them home and they can apply properly.

I'm doing just fine in Canada, where I've lived my whole life except for 7 years in Japan. Any difficulties people having comes down to the individual, not a systematic national problem. My rent in Vancouver is under $1000, because I haven't moved in 11 years. I have no debt, no car, no expensive lifestyle, no drug habit. I made good choices. Others have not.\n\nCanada is still a land of opportunity if you get a job, get your vaccines, live within your means and don't expect a 1950s style economy, anyone can do fine. Healthcare access needs improvement, but we had a pandemic. The whole world did. \n\nIf you feel like you can't make it in Canada, you have no one to blame but yourself. Everything is relative. As a Latino immigrant(Canadian Citizen)living in Canada for 23 years I found that many Indian business owners are very dishonest, many times paying very cheap wages and many times stealing money from their employees(stealing hours), I'm a truck driver and I've been ripped off by East Indian trucking companies that didn't pay me my money many times, they are also very unsafe, they don't fix their trucks, they break the traffic rules. Trucking used to be a highly pay job before the Indians started opening their trucking companies and lowering their prices now the whole trucking industry is garbage thanks to the Indians, the news say that there is a shortage of truck drivers ha ha ha is not true what happens is that truck drivers do not wanna work for Indians because they are very cheap and most are crooks at least in the trucking industry. Than God that I've been trucking for a long time so I know which companies are good and I work for a good Canadian company.

When I couldn't even invite close relatives to visit, and with no strong reason for denial but the only supposed trend by other visitors to stay their visit, I felt really disappointed and even wrote the Federal Minister of Immigration back then. That was over 10 years ago. Around the same time, I saw whole families from South Asian countries coming. And then I saw more, and then more. Older people pop up in family neighbourhoods. Then I asked why, what's going on here? I'm also sure that there has been a very biased immigration process throughout.

Why is the government not building new cities in Canada, if this is done, it works to operate all sectors within the country, which improves the chances of buying homes at a reasonable price and creates new jobs.. Therefore, the government is working to reduce taxes and encourage and support small businesses and projects .. As a non-religious person, I find a lot of beauty and richness in Islam. My heart just breaks that it mirrors the conservatism of Christian Nationalists where marriage, sexuality, and gender identity is concerned. It is no more indoctrinating to expose children to a diversity of humans than it is to expose them ONLY/MOSTLY to a restricted group of humans. You may be thinking of it as “let them just be kids”, but when they grow up and see the whole world anyway, they will feel unprepared, confused, and more likely to move away from Islam.
