Punjab has almost 13000 small and medium factories which is 9th number only low to the states which has ports and their average is 3 times the population of punjab .. the other reason it has the disadvantage of border state where if u see per captia income is less in those districts which borders with Pakistan .. investment is low on that side … Punjab also received 631 million dollars in fdi which is 6th 7th in country …. It is good to talk about problems but I guess media is trying to portray that Punjab is finished , their is nothing while reality is different .\nBTW video was amazing , u deeply researched it and make it clear that this khali bogey is also getting its attention coz of election coming up , they try to stir up the pot with amritpal but nothing happened it will all go away once election are done .

Toronto can do better, perhaps hire a Singaporean team of retired urban planners and a few architects. There is definitely enough land in Canada to do some amazing stuff. Also expand on that light rail system, Singapore got their Mass Rapid Transit idea from Canada decades ago and it's a shame to see Toronto fall behind like this.

I’m a Calgarian and just visited Toronto the second time in 20 years in July and let me tell you it is an amazing city to visit but not for living. \nIt’s an expensive and stressful city to live in. \nThe thing gets me the most is the traffic. It’s busy any day of the week, day or night. \nI also feel that it’s not a good city for a young family. Too costly and stressful.

It depends on where you live in Canada... i've never seen any homeless person in my city, anybody that is on the verge of falling gets taken cared of immediately. We have an amazing community with strategically placed community garden all around the city. Just walking around the city gave me enough stuff for a whole dinner. Great job opportunity with great bonuses for people coming. Just got a 10k bonus just because i stayed in my hometown after my college graduation.

Thanks Lynn for bringing this up. I am a Kenyan living in Canada. You highlighted the most important thing- due diligence. There are a lot of people that come here with a promise of a better life and the notion is that it’s instant. I want to confirm to you that it’s better life, but it’s not instant. You have to put in the work and prove your worth. You have to gain Canadian experience to get a decent job. Also be ready to go back to school and upgrade your skills. There are jobs here zinaitwa Trades. These are the jobs that we don’t value at home but pay amazingly well here. Construction, Electricians, Plumbers, Mechanics, Carpentry, Welding, Hairdressers, Tailors.. Those are very valued skills here- if you can invest in learning these trades but pia ukikuja hapa you have to convert your certs to Canadian ones by doing an exam or going back to school . If you are into office jobs, make sure you have market relevant skills that align to this country. Be ready to embrace the digital revolution and mpende hesabu. Accounting is very much valued here. The secret is be ready to start from the bottom, be ready to upgrade yourself, be ready to work like you’ve never worked before… You will make it eventually .. Mungu mbele! \nI am confirming that we are going through a recession here and as per the market trends, it’s only going to get worser until we get to a point of stabilization. The housing market is crazy, food costs and gas (fuel)costs are off the roof .. it’s not easy. So if you have a good job in Kenya, hold onto it for now until things get better ( due diligence /research) .. Make sure you have the right visa that allows you to work here. That visitors visa theory is not working anymore. \nOverall Canada is a good country with lots of opportunities but it’s not for the faint hearted. \nLastly, be prepared for the harsh winters and days of severe loneliness- Si lakini ni life? Moving blind ... I went to canada over 20 times in a course of several years. The key to make it in canada is to have the correct paper work. When i was ready to move to canada i got an immigration lawyer. I had funds and was willing to move. Lets say i didnt and ended up in europe. Canada is amazing country full of opportunities but with you the papers it will be a nighmare. There js more to this story about being stranded

Hey Canadian you are most welcome to Malaysia to explore a total live over here. Cost of living is less than 20% of Canada. Malaysia medical care is absolutely amazing.

Happy birthday Lynn! I’m so happily amazed you touched on this subject. I am commenting from Canada and seeing people getting frustrated coming on visitor visa to look for work/convert visa to work permit. Even employers with LMIA approval are asking for work permits. Anyone coming to Canada should preferably secured a job or school before coming here. It is so so so expensive and jobs aren’t easy to get without Canadian credentials or experience . Any Canadian credentials including a certificate will up your game in getting a job. Meanwhile while in school you can now work unlimited hours but ensure you stay in school and finish. Be careful with agents promising jobs . It is hard here but once you get into the system hard & smart work pays. And getting into the system can only be done front door. What one pays an agent for visitor visa, you might as well do a one year certificate that’s approved for post graduate work permit. Less headache and better opportunities. When a deal sounds too good think twice- agents are really smooth talkers and super salespeople from what I’m told by those coming here through them. Be wise….I have no regrets coming here I wish I did it earlier as I’d have gained more through longer school options in my youth ?.

Same here in Montreal used to love this city still do but post C19 everything changed like everywhere housing crisis, politics, the cultural center it user to be changed maybe its just looking at it now at the start of my 30s compared to when i moved here from Europe and Central Africa at the start of my 20s. Met friends i have for life, got great professional opportunities lived in nice places great food in the city. Now everything is just super expensive now and i know toronto is must be ever crazier. Im considering moving back to France or Switzerland to be closer to my family and friends and also be close to Gabon easier to visit than here constantly taking 4 plains round trip everytime i go back home. After losing my father last year getting divorced 3 years ago i think my time here is done. 14yrs here i became an adult here had amazing experiences, became a canadian citizen but its just not the same anymore. Time for a new adventure somewhere else. We used to live well even back as a student on minimum wage, now with a better career good salary we’re struggling. Breaks my heart seeing this all over canada.

I've been living in Toronto for over thirty (30) years with a little two years try in Halifax, which didn't work due to the lack of meaningful jobs.\nWhen I arrived here in the late 80th I was very impressed with all the services provided and the speed to see medical professionals.\nI'd spent almost 10 years without a family doctor since my first one retired, and now I'm fortunate enough to have one who is so busy that I have to wait months for an appointment.\n\nIt is painful to notice that already paid services are disappearing and how dirty and dangerous this, once an amazing city, is today.\n\nI'm retired now just waiting for my wife to do the same to move out of this country, with the hope that our very low combined pensions will be enough to live somewhere else.\nMoving out of the city, even out of the province, it is not an alternative since anywhere out of here, includes having a car with all the expenses that this include.\n\nSad reality for retirees and specially for young couples with children in tow.\nSoon we will see this beautiful country devoid of human qualified presence to support all the neglected refugees that are coming.\n\nWho knows, maybe this is a new experiment on how so many homeless people can survive the harsh winter.\nGreetings from Toronto.

This is a well produced video. I would add that the traffic is absolutely insane. I live in Midtown and would not think of driving down to the lakeshore for example,, even for some sort of amazing entertainment. These issues will take years to fix if ever.

I'm brazilian and run a language school in my country. I've been to Toronto 3 times in exchange programs with my students. The first time, in 2012, I found the city amazing and incredibly safe. The second time, in 2018, I noticed a small change for worse in terms of security and homelesness. My last time in Toronto was this year, and I felt myself very insecure and saw things that I wasn’t accostumed to seeing not even here in Brazil. It’s a pity, because Toronto is an unique city and it has potencial to be very developed socially speaking. Unfortunately, I'm searching for alternative destinations to take my students abroad.

I am an immigrant from South Africa here in Edmonton since June of 2023. What the brother is saying is true. Canadians make no room for the human element in the workplace/environment. Everything is based on productivity at the expense of your humanity. They also treat workers as very expendable and disposable. The fact that they import so many foreign workers to do certain jobs is perhaps a reason why born Canadians no longer want to put up with the exploitation (I don't know if this is the true reason though).\n\nCanada is very convenient, and public services and infrastructure are amazing compared with South Africa. But the rest of the culture is very sterile. Tim Hortons, Starbucks, and Ice Hockey are considered cultural identities. Maybe the older generations had a distinctive culture, but most Canadians of today's are only interested in consumerism and the car lifestyle. If you are looking for people with warmth and depth, you will most likely find it with fellow immigrants (and maybe the poor and marginalized communities of Canada).\n\nCanada is a very safe country, and South Africa may not be worth it for me to return to. But the strongest element I thought for coming to Canada was that people here appreciated life and each other. This is not true. Canada is 'stable and happy' because the people are intoxicated by the comfort that material wealth provides the individual (despite all their complaints and problems, most Canadians still lead very comfortable and easy lives). Take away their comfort and materialism, and they won't know who they are. They won't know how to stand together either since they have been so strongly conditioned to live for themselves as individuals.\n\nCanadians are known for their politeness and friendliness, and this is true. But there is a big difference between politeness and kindness (and being genuine). Canadians are not kind.\n\nMy opinion is obviously limited and biased. I am sure there are wonderful and pleasant exceptions. But I will still limit these as exceptions. \n\nThink hard before choosing Canada (and perhaps also the USA). Unless you have a strong community to support you here, it will be a lonely and alienating experience.
