i think for the most part indian people are hard workers and i deffinatly dont dislike them as a whole but when you bring to many of one race to a country thats supposed to be multi cultural and alot of them refuse to adapt to canadian culture its going to cause issues. My family came from Canada from India over 100 years ago we came over here legally we tried to assimilate I think what really bothers me now is that these new international students are giving all of us a bad name most of them cheat on their English exams back in India, and this is a known fact most of them can’t speak English and hence why they fail the colleges here expecting to be passed automatically. they work over 40 hours a week illegally and lie about it The government is subsidizing international students but they are taking jobs away from our students. We paid taxes my entire life and my son applied for over 100 jobs and got nothing because every single job is taken over by international students they are they are abrasive. They are entitled, they cannot seem to understand how assimilation works. They are so entitled and they feel they can protest out in the streets when they dont get PR. They came on a student visa and were expected to go home. They are now complaining and protesting at this point they all need to be sent home because this is ridiculous, PR should be handed out as needed not automatically and right now there are so many Canadians without jobs so we don’t need more workers. I also work in healthcare most of the students or their families come in don’t have appropriate healthcare and we end up paying millions of dollars in healthcare bills because of them, we have had families come visit their international students with no healthcare having strokes costing us healthcare workers and the government over $1 million. We don’t have the infrastructure for these students to stop. The government needs to stop subsidizing. The government needs to stop handing out PR like they’re handing out candyscamin India and here charged enough is enough. I will def be writing to my politician

I’m sorry, but never would I move to the US for all of the reasons already given in the video. I have a good friend in Massachusetts and I keep asking him when he’s going to come home to Canada. I really think Trump is going to be President again and I think it is time for my friend and his son to come on home. That’s excellent hopefully Canada will become Canadian again. As a Punjabi, I’m absolutely disgusted with these new international students. They came here on pretence most of them didn’t even pass the English test they cheated and scammed to get here. They’re not attending colleges and working full-time taking jobs away from Canadian born students, including my own son who applied for over 100 jobs and got nothing. They need to go back after studying what’s deplorable is their sense of entitlement now, I’m so embarrassed by them. I think if PR is granted they should be made to work and areas that require help not already overpopulated areas least 10 years

What is with international students that go to Canada and USA. Think just because they get a student visa. They think its a permanent residency and path to citizenship. Or they have a right to work. The immigration file has been completely botched and mishandled by an inept and very stupid government. Mass immigration without a plan for increased housing, medical staff, infrastructure help, or even increased staff at immigration centres, etc. is madness, and chaos has ensued. I studied in India for several years, and was careful to respect Indian culture vis a vis dress codes, learning Hindi, and behaviour. It is only normal courtesy to do so. It becomes more difficult when numbers increase drastically over a v. short period of time since people coming here are not widely exposed to Canadian culture. This completely inept and corrupt government needs to go: like yesterday. I think of myself as anti-racist, but when I go for a medical test and see that 95% of patients appear to be of middle-eastern origin, while I haven't been able to find a family doctor for 10 years, I do get a little irritated. And I'm a boomer; younger people in Canada are competing for education, jobs, housing, as well as medical care, so I can understand people becoming angry. I think that currently this backlash is against the government, not immigrants, and not one community in particular. I am cynical enough to think that this government went for mass immigration because they have no economic plan for prosperity, and bringing in several millions would raise GDP. But percapita GNP has been falling for 8 quarters, so we are definitely in a recession. I think Trudeau did this so his economic incompetence would not be obvious. Anyway, that's my appeal: we should be upset at a government that caused this chaos, not at individual immigrants nor a specific community.

I’ve been to India I survived and lived in India such a better life than in Canada. The medical care in India is phenomenal, not like here for sure. The food is less expensive. You pay five dollars for your medical appointment and that includes the medicine and you in like 15 minutes.

there is only so many students per school for other countries so our own get a chance to go to school. but trulip has fixed this to buy votes by allowing foreigner to vote when they get here and not by the rules of citizenship. but that has ended now and so has trulip. cant house our own people time to close the boarder on immigration. The government under Trudeau is a disaster and it shows that he does not know what he is doing. He is giving foreigners the chance to thrive in Canada and does not think of the Canadian residents. A lot of the students uses every loophole to stay in Canada either before and after education to secure permanent residents. Why are students allowed to work. They are supposed to help the economy by going to school, not taking jobs from Canadians.

Not so acurate information. During the college time students can work only 20h/week. Unless it has changed. \n\nAlso, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get permanent residency before graduation because you need Canadian experience (full time) for at least 1 year in specialized areas. \n\nOnly if you successfully complete your program you get the full time work visa per 3y. In this time it’s going to be possible TO APPLY for permanent residence. \n\nBut not only that. Canadian experience give you extra points in the immigration program, but also a Bachelor’s degree, or a master degree, work experience in your back country, English level, and age. \n\nI don’t know for certain countries if the rules are different, but as long as I know, it’s the same for everybody. \n\nWhen I came as an international student, I had to prove the college was paid, also show I had enough money to support myself for 1y without work. Also, the program at college that costs $4000/semester for a Canadian student, it costs $8-10.000 for an international student. \n\nMy work visa (during college) allowed me 20h per week working only. \n\nTo get my study visa approved I had to show intermediate English, money, work experience, Bachelor’s degree (I have also a master’s), and explain why I wanted to study in Canada and why that program was related to my current career. \n\nTalking about jobs; I have worked as a housekeeper in a hospital (on weekends). After I graduated I became supervisor. \n\nSome people complain about students and immigrants getting the jobs, but what I’ve seen was a lot of people complaining EVERY DAY about their jobs, about their lives, etc…but doing absolutely nothing to change it.\n\nI got here as a student, I became immigrant, I worked as a cleaner, I graduated at college.after 2y working full time I got the permanent residence, and I was back to school. \nI got a Master’s degree at McMaster University, and now I am a manager in a big hospital. \nImmigrants taking the jobs??? In 2015 our population was around 35 mil. Why would you need 65 mil ppl to replace 7 mil ppl that don't need to be replaced? They come to Canada on student’s visa and think they have the same rights as Canadians. They are protesting, they are ignorant, pooping on public beaches and stealing cars. A lots of Canadians are afraid to go to Brampton, Ontario because of high crime.\nThey protest because they failed their exams. They protest because they don’t want to leave Canada after end of their studies. That is why Canadians have enough. \nAre we as visitors protest in their country?

With the premise that over the arc of 40 years we had two exceptional wonderful Indian family doctors, the current crop of immigrants are a disgusting representation of their country of origin! In which reality do they think it’s ok to defecate in public, be it at a public beach or in front of a pump at a gas station? Or rent a home designed for 4 people and end moving in 10 thereby destroying the property ? I could go on much longer, but I will stop here. When one moves or travels to another country, one adapts to the social norms of that society and does not try to impose those from their own culture….adapt or get the hell out!!!
