Even for people who have been here their whole lives we are finding it hard to just live.

Illegal entry is illegal in any OTHER countries. I still believe the United States in Canada should become one country cleansed of the sins of both and form the North American republic.. a country that will be even more powerful then ever before.

You forgot 1 major point-\nAt least here in Canada, we don't have to live in fear of gun violence. We don't send our children only for them to be massacred in their schools. At least our politics doesn't revolve around Jesus, guns and abortion (though our politicians are also crap). At least we don't have to break bad to pay for even simple medical procedures. At least our cities aren't overrun by homeless while our rural areas are not overrun by hillybillies. \n\nWhile yes in general Americans are richer, the fact is that only the top 10 percent live better. Not the homeless piling up in the cities, not the 3rd world shanties in the Appalachians and south and certainly not the thousands living in the American jail system. It's crazy how bad a country can be despite being rich.\n\nI was born and raised in the US. I have lived in Canada and much poorer countries like Spain and Portugal. Let me tell you, Americans live the worst life out of all. In much poorer Spain, people still have universal education till university, good healthcare, good public transportation system and they don't have to eat the frozen crap most Americans eat. Spanish people eat fresh meat, fruits, cheese and vegetables and drink some of the best wine, despite earning much less than Americans and working astonishingly low hours. Moreover, their cities are livable, not like the concrete jungle of Texas. \n\nYes America is rich but DUDE, Its seriously third world, if you arent rich and successful.

Why isn't the government working with the countries where the migrants are coming from? A treaty or an accord should be negotiated with Mexico (even though there's almost 1 million Americans residing in Mexico), Central America and northern South America and stop this mass migration to our border! This should have been done 10 years ago. The border towns will become, are, deportation zones, dysentery, human trafficking and dead immigrants, by the US, murders from infighting or consumption. Unfortunately, there must be some hidden agenda we're not privy to why the obvious deterrent isn't obvious! ?

Majority of Hispanics don’t understand this is a major problem. If the population is growing in the US. Inflation will rise. Housing, food, gas etc. We need to deport as many illegals as we can because legal immigrants deserve the right in America legally. Also, problem with these illegal Hispanics is they don’t even attempt to learn or study English and always raise their country’s flag rather than the American flag. I’ve seen this too much. We also have a problem with Americans here. Mostly black Americans. They’re extremely lazy, having a lot of babies, use drugs, loot, lie and break in. They are over privileged and always play the victim. This kind of problem leads to our taxes going to then as well.

At least someone is happy to be in america. Feel like alot of people in our country today don’t understand how lucky they are even with all the issues we have of our own. Of course this large influx of people is gonna cripple some of the economy for a while but we should hope the Mexican and other South Americans who do end up staying here after all this are able to lead a productive and good life beside us Americans.

Yeah, I've been talking to a Canadian over discord for almost 2 years now trying to learn more about the country and what he told me was shocking. Canadian make about 25% less and pay 33% more in taxes then American and somehow a house in the middle of goddamn nowhere cost as much as a house in Portland. If you live in NYC, SF, or LA yeah you can forget about buying a house but its not like in America housing is unaffordable everywhere like in Canada. In Texas, you can get a big beautiful house for 300k, the catch being that real estate taxes is really high and you still be paying that even after the mortgage been paid off. Florida is affordable but hurricanes, Cleveland is really cheap despite a good reputation, and a house in the rural areas is easily under 100k. Canada pretty much have no houses under 300k which is made worse by the fact that they make less, taxed more, investment is harder + more expensive, and it actually hard to establish credit because they don't have looser standard like in the US.

Wait but I thought that Venezuela was a gun free zone you would think they would love it it there because the normal civilians can’t protect themselves I mean own fire arms. I get where you're coming from, no one is more patriotic than myself but bro this is the land of hope. My grandfather who raised me is an immigrant who left a life of no hope and growth to come here. He was deported 12 times but each time fought to come back. Now he is a father of 4 grandfather of 7 American citizens. He is the pride of our family for how much of an outstanding person he is. But all this would not have come to fruition if it wasn't for the opportunities that this country provided. I understand our country is struggling but it's not struggling to a point where we have to turn our backs on these people and pretend like we can't help them when help isn't even what they want. They just want somewhere safe to raise their children.

It's too many people coming into the United States. Highly overcrowded. The US needs to start taking care of their own citizens first. There's homeless Americans right here that are citizens, there are hungry people right here in the US that are American citizens. They need to start helping their own first. It's unconscionable that we've invited people to come to Canada without actually following through on the promise we made to them in the first place. Was it all just sloganeering designed to appeal to liberal progressive NIMBYers? Was there ever any intent on actually doing something for these poor people beyond a sound bite or photo op? \n\nThe solution to migration because of war, terror, famine and so on is not by opening up the borders and allowing everyone in, the solution to mass migrations (over 100 million worldwide) is to tackle the conditions that make such migrations necessary. Almost without exception, each one of these migrant/refugee situations are the result of political problems that have to be tackled in those countries where the conditions exist. There are over 100 million people fleeing conditions that make life unbearable, even if we wanted to, how are we to take them all into North America? How does anyone propose we do that, and even if we could manage it somehow, another 100 million would show up on our doorstep next year...or next week...it's simply not possible or reasonable to expect us to be overwhelmed by wave after wave of the poor unfortunate. The solutions to war and famine abroad can't be found here and we need to make it plain that people who live in such conditions must first rise up to help themselves. We can and should help, politically, through foreign aid and individual donations (North Americans are among the most generous donators after all), and even militarily where feasible or possible. The UN and other coalitions of nations, must each take up the burdens before people smugglers take it up for them. We have our own problems to deal with here and I'm not willing to vote for promises made that were never meant to be kept.

Foreign govts are fked and corrupt but you are still subject to laws of OUR govt no one likes it when people just run into your house without being invited regardless of the situation. This is not a good look for foreigners trying to come through at all even though their situation might be bad doesn’t automatically mean it’s our duty to take care of it

As an American who is going blind hurts and badly has a tent on the street a wife I love and son my wife she is dieng my heart breaks for these people I don't even think they understand that America is not what they think but Lord hear these people forgive my selfish wants\n....... Yet as free will exists and the time draws nigh we did this to the people .......the world men love darkness rather then the light men in power have become corrupt greed on a massive level has destroyed this world in a little more then a hundred and fifty years tho there's always been wars and death and hell on earth but as a whole the earth kept on going yet we have taken and raped this earth for things and trinkits destroyed the rainforest the flood supply and given the young adults drugs and violence yet thell have the so called answer which consists of more death love one another people love one wnother if we don't who we'll and if you don't who we'll love you

Even the Americans are struggling to survive ... like the rest of the world. \n\nThese Mexicans still believe in that myth about America being that land of plenty. \n\nWouldn't it be easier .. if Mexico now be part of America?!!! At least 1/4 of that country ... All Mexicans wanting to be ruled under America, please stand of that side ... Probably 80% of these Mexicans would.\n\nThank you Hollywood!!!
