This happened in the US but I was working at Panera and two really nice ladies wearing burkas came to order some food and the old white guy cashiering refuses to cash them out because of what they are wearing. \n\nThat's straight up discrimination, I hope they didn't know why he wouldn't served them because that's horrible and he should feel ashamed. I dont believe this. I'd like proof that they showed the landlord the same income and job history. I believe they made the white guy look better on paper to make a point. If business owners are turning away renters that could make them income, they are just horrible businessmen. I've never been turned away from an apartment or anything else because of my color. I have money to pay, that's all landlords have ever cared about.

I think subtle racism is actually a very practical type of stereotyping and it didn't just got created out of air, there is a big chunk of that specific race (be it any race according to the stereotype) who actually prove the stereotype to be right. I am from india, living in Canada and if some house owner would prefer a white guy over me to rent their house, I would not blame him since a lot of people don't like the smell of spices that we cook all the time.\n\nAs far as stereotyping is sublet and not rude or hurting, I don't think it's actually so much of racism rather then preference.\n\nI just want to make it clear though that I do support racism, whatever is happening in US and a lot of other countries which is violent is a very horrible thing. NOT let my son get my medicine and it's hard for me to walk around and I called him up and ask why \nand then I did get my medicine and I never did have no more trouble out them after my doctor ball to out they against my son but people listen at this we're not African American where are we we are not I seen the kind of thing two we was up to the courthouse and these police officers was looking at me and laughing I'm an overweight woman and overweight people gets treated bad we get laughed at we get made fun of and every way I got jerked around at the courthouse in Anderson they really treated me horribly and I think it was because I was overweight and they was very rude and nasty to every customer to come in and I don't know why to me it always pointed out and all I'll be pointed out so it's not only African Americans but it's people like myself that has a weight problem I I am A obesity white woman

This was a horribly done story. It doesn't talk enough about the money or incentives. What financial incentive did these fake immigrants have to pay thousands of dollars to become a Canadian citizen. They briefly mention a low income benefit but don't even basically explain to what it amounts. Was Canada paying these fake citizens thousands of dollars a year in cash benefits for fake reports on low income earnings? It's like doing a story on a mass murderer, how he murdered and giving no background on his mental health or motivation.

Unfortunately the same in most Western countries today, including the one I am from. F*ck xenophobia and nationalism.\nThe sentiment that we are somehow better than other countries, people, systems etc. is one of the biggest reasons that I don't want to be in the West. \nSure there are some horrible regimes in their countries, but people aren't their leaders. I am a legal immigrant, and it would NEVER occur to me to enter illegally or to overstay my visa had I been denied legal status in the US. Please go home and put your energy and intelligence into making YOUR country a better, safer place for your kids. A country is nothing but a PRODUCT of its people and their culture, values and belief system. It is YOUR home culture that makes your home country the horrible, dangerous, corrupt place that it is. Bring the western culture that you learned here home with you and work hard to shift things for the better in your home country.
