I was born and raised in the US and immigrated to Canada as a young adult. I have lived here for 45 years, am now a citizen, and would never move back to the States! I don't even holiday there (Europe, Asia or Mexico instead). It is so unsafe and unstable; there's no draw for me to want to spend time there.

I guarantee once you shoot one or two, this ridiculous behavior will stop. The UK is wanting the people to house the immigrants in their own homes that they paid for. I would never allow some random person or people from some lawless ass country to live in my home that I pay for every month just so they can destroy it or just kill me and my family and take over my home. Let’s be honest, that is what Soros and China want. It’s not going to fucking happen….

Canada is opening doors to all these new immigrants but it's also kicking out own citizens, because of unable to find jobs that you like no matter that you are highly educated or afford the living expenses. If you are over 50 you will never get a professional job and if you are a recent graduate, even if you study and born in Canada, you can't get a job either because no experience. This is Ontario, this is our home country Canada.

Canada is becoming more and more like America. I would never live in the States and wouldn’t mind peacing out from Canada and immigrate overseas. American views on civic responsibilities, guns, christianity, healthcare, manners, ethnicities, education are uniquely American… really toxic, bigoted and narcissistic

I worked for a company(3.5years) that was relocating to North Carolina from Toronto. They offered to help find somewhere to live, help with immigration, and a cash incentive(i forget how much) to move and keep my job. This was 2002. I declined, and there has never been a day that I regretted my choice.

For so many reasons NO. In 75 years have never even seen or touched a gun. I’m repulsed by the infatuation so many Americans have for them. I hope to never step foot in the USA again. I’ll fly over it to holiday anywhere else. I hate to generalize but so many Americans care to know nothing about the rest of the world. I am from Brazil, moved to Canada 9 years ago, now I am Canadian citizen. I was once asked by a American colleague why did I not immigrated to the USA, the answer is: it was not even in the list of possible countries. In fact it is on my top list of places not to move to. \n\nYou have a good insurance through your job? That only means you have one more reason to fear losing it or stay on a particularly bad one if you don’t have anything lined up, if you have a chronic health condition, then you are straight out hostage to your employer. Even if you do have good insurance your bills may one day go beyond the maximum and you still risk bankruptcy. \n\nIf you do go bankrupt, in any civilized country you can’t go to jail for debt, in the USA you can, the country with the highest incarcerated population in the world in absolute numbers and relative too. To add salt to the injury it is a country that did not completely make slave work illegal, it is still legal if you are not a free citizen and your prison system exploit that.\n\nSo it is a country that you can become slave because you got sick.\n\nThen there are the guns… the fact you think you are exempt of school shootings says it all, if you live in a small city it would not affect you? Are you really saying mass shootings never occur in small cities?! Of the 10 deadliest school shootings in the U.S., all but one took place in a town with fewer than 75,000 residents and the vast majority of them were in cities with fewer than 50,000 people.”\n\nIt is all part of the gun culture, the absurd of making guns easily available and viewing guns as toys, a culture were people think taking your life is a proportional response to trespassing. \n\nIt is all closely tied with all the warmongering you are ok with all the taxes you pay going to your military to kill people outside your country yet you take exception in using a fraction of that to save your own citizens lives.\n\nIt is a place which put low value in the human life and well being, favour punishment instead of prevention and rehabilitation, keeps most of its population in a constant sense of despair and helplessness…\n\nIt is no wonder the USA has the highest number of psychopaths(over than 3000 versus the second next at 166), have kids going nuts and shooting others at school.\n\nIt is not a sane culture, it is not a good place to live and if you are well informed you won’t.

I have lived there for 4 months and would never go back! I keep planning to go visit my daughter, but I am afraid ,just because of the average attitude you encounter in every day life. Americans are scary, guns, attitude toward immigrants, they call our health care socialism, etc.

I don't understand where prospective migrants get their information if they somehow believe that racism and homelessness do not exist in Canada. Manage your expectations, do your own independant research, seek reliable and varied sources of information. Canada is far from perfect, true. But as a Canadian, I would never ever rely on any country to educate me on what I need to know before I decide to immigrate there. Being disappointed by the Canadian healthcare system or by the existence of racism in Canada is like being disappointed by the presence of slums all over Europe and garbage at Everest Base Camp. Educate yourself, and if its too god to be true, it probably is.

Thanks for telling people the truth. People are never told the truth. The Canadian government website is written in simple English and French and is very straight forward and you can apply to come on your own, but people insist in going through agents who are just making money off of them. Please read the website in detail. The government hides nothing on their website. Don't blame the government and try to understand what some of the immigration lawyers and agents are doing to you. If you are not well versed in the English or French language, get someone to help you with the website and application. Stop paying unnecessary money and go directly to the government. The agents and lawyers will be doing exactly what you can do. Not all of them are genuine. The government tells you not to pay people money, come to them. There are refugees sleeping on the pavements. Why come to the country under those conditions. We don't have enough housing right now for people and rents at the condos are very high. A one bedroom apartment in Toronto is about $2,000 plus.

I see this done a lot but there's a big difference between correlation and causation. Your Rbc example shows the top people all white, including women I may add. It's very ingenuous to claim racism based purely on who has risen to the top. Would you call the NBA racist because blacks overwhelmingly are represented or did they get there because they were the best? It's really exhausting having to correct leftist talking points based on nothing.\nThis is the problem today, racism is used so much that it's become little more than name calling because people, usually on the left, call anyone they disagree with racist.\nYou dislike illegal immigration? Racist. You can be pro lawful immigration but have the wrong opinion and your a racist.\nHate crimes? These are incredibly rare and are often skewed politically, largely for reasons I just explained but if an indigenous man assaults an Asian lady, it's less likely to be labeled a hate crime as, say a white male doing the exact same.\nNot so common here but in the US, there are numerous examples of blacks assaulting Asians and orthodox jews and the media will cleverly imply it's whites by saying white supremacy is on the rise, then give the stats on hate crimes, most of which were not committed by whites. It's this kind of media manipulation that creates an inaccurate impression.\nNow, for the indigenous, yes, there is systemic racism. We have an entire governmental system treating natives differently with reserves, different taxes, hunting rights etc by definition it's systemically racist although many are a benefit.\nI also agree with your comment on Quebec with it's strong almost nationalist attitudes towards maintaining it's French heritage at the expense of individual rights.\n, please don't label someone or an organization as racist just because a bunch of white people occupy top positions without evidence that racism was the cause when it could just be they were the best candidates. I would counter that racism or xenophobia is far more common in non western countries.\nI would suggest countries in Asia, Africa and others with less multicultural populations harbor more racist sentiment towards other races. It’s stupid to do a comparison with US. Canada had something special that no counties have. Especially in Vancouver, the environment and all the ppl fleeing from their chaotic countries. Competition is not the main thing in Canada. As long as their natural resources r not polluted, the attractiveness of moving to Canada never ended. Keep talking about US US US……. I’m 52 years old and have never witnessed outright racism against blacks. Yesterday I went to see a doctor. I have fibromyalgia and can barely walk but I had to cause I don’t have a car atm. The waiting room was PACKED. I asked about seeing a doctor and was told “ he’s not seeing patients today”. I asked “what about all of these people”? She said “they’re all immigrants and he is seeing them”. I’ve lived here my entire life but I guess he wasn’t seeing Canadians. I find the black people that complain and cry racism haven’t done much with their life. I have friends that are VERY SUCCESSFUL black people and they never talk like this. You just wouldn’t not hear it out of their mouths. And they live in Edmonton . Hard working, decent people they are. I’m facing homelessness come July 1. Ain’t nobody coming to save me. Rent increase of $430 dollars will do that tho. Everyone is struggling to some degree. Instead of further dividing us, we should be coming together to come up with solutions to help each other. I live in Toronto. I have a lady my neighbour who told my Colombian Jamaican son she hates immigrants and would never hire a black person. In 2023!!! Can you believe it. She is Greek and was never born in Canada and she hates immigrants!! ? the lady in the video has a point.

I’m an independent that usually votes Democrat, but the border should be a nonpartisan issue.\n\nAmerica is not like Europe. European countries are the sizes of states, and they have the European Union to cross govern.\n\nAmerica does not have a relationship with Canada or Mexico like any of the EU countries.\n\nWe cannot be letting this happen. I feel for the people suffering in Mexico, I truly do. Some are trying to reunite with family, some are fleeing poverty and feel America is the best place to come up but it's those that are fleeing violence that concern me. We can't take on the world in one nation only to have some immigrants globally thumb their noses up at our traditions, rights we had to fight for, housing we need etc. The sad fact is running to America isn't the Answer. We fight the Middle East who will never change but we need to turn our attention to Mexico, the island nations and South America. It doesn't matter if people who won't change are overwhelming our nation. The violence you escape still comes here. It's getting to the point of entitlement. I've known immigrants who had to pay out-of-state fees while living in America until they could gain a visa but those from the south refute this and demand in state tuition or the same rights as those who took classes and became legal citizens the right way. So much violence from gangs and the cartel but we can't help by just opening the borders. It's time the South changed and took out the gangs and cartel for good to make a better life . Moreover, greedy leaders need to be taken out if necessary so these people can have a better future. The south and certain islands can't really say America should mind its business because these invasions are our business. When we are flooded with ethnic groups of people it becomes America's business nationwide.

I understand seeking asylum, but it burdens our economic system, health system, and safety. There is a legal way to enter. I moved to Texas 4 yrs ago. I've never seen such a burdened health care system and such low wages for jobs. This has to end. The whole immigration law needs to be revamped. It must be done legally. This is almost like an invasion of the US. Biden will not get my vote. When moving to their country, you need a sponsor, must learn the language, and prove you won't be a burden on their health care system, etc. This is simply not right.

Need more jobs, lesser rent/lower inflation/removal of businesses not following labor laws/proper housing/homeless housing and job directories. I dont think keeping out immigrants will really improve anything, America has always been a melting pot of sorts and was ultimately built by immigrants and still relies on their affordability of labor cost. Americans are racist and afraid that theyll be knocked off the ladder by someone that will probably outwork them, then unable to afford homing, and unable to find a job themselves. They dont want to be in Mexicos shoes, Venezuela specifically, as shown here. US population has been around 54% working; while 76% from Mexico. A wall wasnt going to fix the situation, never was -- it was a bit silly dont you think? There shouldve been more put into expanding border patrol, they obviously handle it better. And claiming aslyum has backfired: theyre over-full, lack funding, and no one can remove them because it has become a neccesarity now.\nI dont think they should be denied a potentially better way of life but this wasnt as much an option as they had hoped it be.

This is just a nonsense term created by mainly those indians who immigrated through express entry.\n\nFor example, A Server in fine dine restaurant make anywhere from $3000-4000 including tips which is i believe equivalent to what you are making through your full time job and apart from that server will be physically much more active than you because server doesn't have to sit on chair whole day.

My dad and grandma were immigrants they became U.S. citizens and always worked and didn't expect anything for free. Never asked for anything other than the opportunity to work for a living. The way these people are crossing over is wrong. It pisses me off to know our government is allowing this because they aren't doing enough to help our own homeless people our veterans and low income families. My husband and I have always worked and are now retired and we don't qualify for most the benefits these people get for free. And they get it at the cost of every tax payer in the U.S.

Our own Federal Government under the Obiden administration is the cause of this. Take Mayorokas and throw him in the middle of the immigrants. Let him speak to them and calm them down. That would never happend because he is a spineless example of an American.

Some good points were touched on. We need solutions! What does this mean?\n\n- We need some immigration discipline. Yes, it's great to let immigration in, especially ones that pay taxes, but it's overburdening both the rental/housing demand (which needs opposing pressure to lower prices) as well as healthcare demand, which is not being properly addressed. Instead our healthcare system is flooded. And it's inefficient and expensive as is already. We just need to tame the number of people we allow in, and grow our ability to self-sustain first.\n- It's too late now, but government policies to give out money during COVID was poorly executed, yet plentiful. When 40% of currency was printed in the last year/two, no doubt we will have inflation. This was never touched upon in the video. Resources/social supports should have been provided rather than just straight up $$$. There was an excess of money given to places they shouldn't have been. We saw a boom in industries like say hobbies and games, showing additional money being wasted where it should have been used for food and shelter. \n- Canadian government is not trying to be as aggressive to retain Canadian companies. We are heavily dependent on US corporations and hence the brain drain as well. Salaries do not compare, especially when remote work is now possible. \n\nWe are already deep in the hole and need to be more financially responsible. I'd strongly disagree with the last statement in this video that we are perceived as corrupt (there's been lots of civil unrest because of government misspending). We are civil and polite, but that's not what helps economies grow, as OCED forecasts as well.

As a child of European immigrants, I'm entitled to EU citizenship by descent. But it's a bureaucratic nightmare and involves spending thousands on lawyers. I never had a compelling reason to bother with that, but with the complete insanity of housing costs in Canada in the last decade I'm seriously considering it. This country is developing serious issues and no political party has the stones to do anything about it.

I'm a Canadian living in the UK now. I love Canada with every piece of my heart but couldn't see myself ever being anything other than working poor there. I went to college but couldn't get a job in my field so had to take whatever minimum wage I could get, couldn't afford rent let alone buying a property so moved in with my parents and there isn't any support from the government for average citizens, only if you're an immigrant, disabled etc. I'm not against helping immigrants, disabled people or those that need it, just sucks that if you don't fall into certain categories it means you'll always struggle in your minimum wage job.\nLife in the UK isn't perfect but I was able to find a decent job here, the public transit is actually usable, phone plans and other bills/groceries tend to be cheaper and the working conditions are significantly better. Like I get 32 paid days off a year in my average job which is just wild to me! In Canada my sister who is a police officer only gets 15 days off a year and that's a lot compared to other people, like I never use to get any paid time off at my previous jobs. I miss parts of living in Canada but for the time being the UK is making my life a lot easier.

No surprise here. Immigrants are not connected to any other nations that they enter and are never loyal to those nations.

The last time my landlord came to collect rent, I invited him to come up to my apartment to show him I was taking good care of the place (and to hopefully discourage him from renovicting me at some point in the future). He said he didn't have time, as he had to go collect rent from 11 or 12 of his other properties around the city. He also mentioned that he had never seen the inside of my apartment before (despite the fact that he owns it). He has only been in the country for a few years, but apparently he already owned a lot of land here before immigrating. He's a very nice guy, but I can't help but feel that there's something seriously wrong with this picture. We can't base our entire national economy on selling our land and resources to rich foreigners while we produce nothing of actual value.

As an immigrant in Canada I would never reinvest the money I get here. I rather put it into US stocks or buy property outside the country. It’s impossible buy here and don’t be fooled it’s not because of immigration but lack of new housing and building permits.

Corporate America turns a blind eye to this because they want cheap labor. That’s why you’ll never see the immigration issue resolved until there’s full blown violence. The same thing is happening across the developed world. In a country like Canada, where the labor pool is coming from India, the social programs would fail if not for the taxes and fees collected from these migrant low wage earners. But it’s fuelling the housing crisis and other social problems. Complex business folks.

I run a car wash, I have never seen so many immigrants asking for work, every day they walk in, sometimes as much as a dozen a day.

me and parents immigrated to the US with almost nothing, we lived in a used 2004 sienna but they worked their asses off. my dad even got mugged within the first 5 months being in the us. fast forward, both of my parents still work blue collar jobs and we have 2 30k+ SUVs and a 2 story $300,000 home. i can never respect my parents enough for their hard work in order to provide for me and my brother\n\nwe came here through a legal port of entry and are doing relatively well from shit poor, if they did it, these people can too
