I moved to Canada from Australia. My standard of living is much worse here. My family and I will be moving back to Australia. \n\nI don’t agree that there’s systemic racism here - the majority of my friends are ethnic minorities and I saw no evidences they were discriminated against (nor did they ever express that they experienced racism). I feel Canadians are obsessed with race due to it being an issue in the United States, thus they exaggerate these issues and often draw instances of racism that are very thin (such as the examples you believe prove racism). “Silent racism” is code for interpreting something as being racist. I believe if we had to list the top ten LEAST racist countries in the world, Canada would be in the top 5.

Some may find this offensive but after moving to Canada I realized how my country is convenient and developed place to live in. And I see that the idea of ‘American dream’ which sparked back in 1800s is still influencing people’s perspective toward the world. They brought that concept and somehow think that everything is gonna be better if they move to countries like Canada and Australia. While never had an actual experience in those places.

I came from a 3rd world country in the Middle East. I thought Canada is a developed and first-world country like European countries, the US, Japan, South Korea, Australia, News Land, and Singapore with the western standard, and also I thought is one of the best. The first time 2018 I arrived in Vancouver, I was shocked. I saw a lot of homelessness, trash, crime, ugly urbanism, and rusty houses in downtown and east Vancouver. I saw, homeless people, pooping and peeing everywhere and it's so common. nobody cares. I was shocked again. I endured for 3 years but every day going worst. late in 2022I decided to move to the east coast because I thought that place has a stronger culture. I chose Montreal. I had heard it is the capital of art and civilization in Canada. it was absolutely wrong. Canada is Canada. I was shocked again, again, and again. the wave of homelessness, graffiti, vandalism, bad smell, terrible infrastructure especially roads in or out of the city, and above all, you can see trash everywhere. plastic bags, tissues, water bottles, and disposable cups. You cannot see any street or park or public place without these. This is impossible. surprisingly nobody cares. neither the people nor the government!!!!!!! please, don't be fooled by the advertisement about a good Canada. please, be careful. most of the things about a good Canada are deception. comparing Canada to other developed countries is wrong because Canada is only a developing country with a lot of serious problems. maybe a 2nd world country.

I randomly looked at videos from downtown Manchester and Concord in New Hampshire - Philadelphia - Detroit - Chicago - New York - Baltimore - Denver - Atlanta - Nashville, and Knoxville in the United States, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, and London in the UK, Paris, Marseille, Lyon, and Toulouse in France, Frankfurt, and Hamburg in Germany, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane in Australia, Tokyo, Yokohama, and Osaka in Japan, Busan, Seoul, and Incheon in South Korea, Toronto - Quebec - Montreal - Winnipeg - Calgary - Vancouver - Victoria - Ottawa and Thunder Bay in Canada. we should be fair. The bitter truth must be accepted. Without any exaggeration. Completely impartial. I have to say that I didn't see a single piece of garbage in any of the other country's videos to convince myself. Without exaggeration, in all Canadian cities, you will find a piece of trash or garbage on the ground less than every hundred meters. It must have an important reason. I do not know. But this is a bitter truth. You can try. This country should be brought closer to its exaggerated claim. Certainly, some Asian countries such as Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and even Malaysia are much cleaner compared to Canada. Of course, we should not forget that Canada claims to be one of the 10 cleanest countries in the world. And cities like Vancouver and Toronto claim to be one of the 5 cleanest cities in the world. I am 50 years old and from a country in the 3rd world in the Middle East called Iran (with the most dictatorial regime in the world) and have traveled to 26 countries. Canada is far from its claims. At this time I live in Saint-Sauveur with my family. I work 5 hours a week as a volunteer person to clean the sides of roads, streets, national parks, and public places in the city. I lived in Vancouver for 4 years, this city is a disaster. when you drive or walk on East Hastings, Victoria Drive, Commercial Drive, West Georgia, Broadway, Main Street, Granville, and most places downtown, you never believe this city is in Canada. they're worst than some places in Africa or the 3rd world countries in Asia. I love this country and try my best to help. I came for peace. I thought Canada is a developed and first-world country like European countries, the US, Japan, South Korea, Australia, News Land, and Singapore with the western standard, and also I thought is one of the best. Might want to check out Trailguide Pictures 'People are fleeing Canada' video. If it's so great in Canada why are so many getting out? Don't get me wrong, Canada is a beautiful country but be careful of wearing rose coloured glasses and thinking the grass is greener. It seems the real reason is to use it as a stepping stone to work in the US. Whatever you do, I wish you luck! btw my partner has worked FIFO all around Australia from Tasmania in the mining and construction industry for around 20 years. Not for everyone, but we get to live on a beautiful island, have our own farm, get heaps of frequent flyer points so get free overseas trips. We've made it work for us. Our Canadian friends said they'd move to Tasmania in a heartbeat if they could!

I have leaving in Canada for 67 years i am going to Australia because the politces is just a war. , Since PM Harper to it down i feel it can't be repaired till it crashes. Health care only in Alberta is good.

I would never trade Australia for Canada! I 've been living in Australia for 16 years and this country has similar problems but one thing is definitely better in Australia which is the weather and the beaches ⛱️ ?

I heard from acquaintances that Salaries in Canada is much lower than salaries in Australia. Cost of living could be the same but the difference in salaries could be a significant factor

The growth of right wing all over the world is going to be disastrous for immigrants. I'm praying that a strong leader like modi or trump comes to power in Canada, Australia and UK to cancel all visa given to such immigrants and kick them back to India. It's gonna happen very very soon. Jai hind ❤️

Nice video and some good points made, but I notice a sense of bitterness in your tone and also in your comments. It seems some events in Australia have angered you and now the Canada option is being viewed through rose-coloured glasses. Surprised you didn't try other cities in Australia first, I really like Perth but would find it challenging to live there. Anyway, proof will be in the the pudding. I have subscribed to see how it all goes for you in Canada. Best wishes.

Imagine the money laundering around the global economy using similar strategies in the USA, UK, Australia, Europe, and Canada with money going outside in currency exchange networks

even after graduating in Canada these students have no jobs, or third class work. people from Punjab go to UK,Canada and Australia, just to get their dreams crushed and lives ruined.
2022-11-07 0
Why Canada ???\nNo 1 - Canada is the Easiest PR for students in the western world. Australian PR requires IELTS individual 7.\nNo 2- Canadian tuitions are cheaper compared to Australia.\n\nAnd sadly,\nThese international students are taking worthless courses or courses just made up for them.
2022-11-03 0
Slavery, residential schools and now exploitation of international students, Canada passively supports these things. Some PR campaign, acknowledgment and apology will solve everything. It’s a Canadian thing it seems. If you think I am being harsh, watch the full documentary and tell me why would Canada not sign the agreement with other countries like USA, UK, Australia etc to allow for ethical recruitment of international students?
2022-10-28 0
some colleges in usa , canada , australia were setup only for international students so do your own research before applying to any college use your internet to do a lot of research
2022-10-26 0
It's a friggin' national disgrace! If countries like Australia can enforce standards with these brokers that send them students, so should Canada. Making money for these brokers and sham schools, and drowning poor families overseas in debt.

Indian people too much going to Canada in London and America Australia because India one country too much people Indian.other country very difficult situation

Thanks, I am watching all your videos, Can you make a video, How to create a Resume for Canada, Australia, Netherlands, Sweden.

I do not understand only one thing and thats the Indian people obsession with Canada and USA, I mean going there and letting your parents pay huge amounts of money and selling their lands and breaking their back for your school fees to enter some low level college or university and in the end not even sure if you will succeed. Instead you can go to Europe ( a lot of countries to choose from ) much cheaper or even free in some countries, all you have to do is learn the language (for it to be free) you can have a good life, cheaper and safer than US or Canada and after you graduate you can get a good job with good pay, even get permanent residence or citizenship. But still 99 percent of Indians wanna move to US OR Canada,UK aswell and in some cases Australia.
2022-10-20 0
What’s happening in Canada, is happening in Australia, UK, USA and many other countries. \n \nAll international students are cash cows for these institutions in all the countries. \n\nThis will stop once the institutions stop giving huge amounts to the recruiting companies who are giving fake promises and false hopes to the innocent families.

If you have zilch wherever you are, move to Canada. Else don’t. Simple. Everything in this video applies to refugees who land up with little or no documentation of past experience and qualifications. The long re-skilling process doesn’t apply to skilled expatriates who have fully documented skills that are in demand. Skilled expatriates leave Canada _more_ than other migrants because the USA is right next door, or because the UAE offers a better lifestyle than overpriced Canada or Australia. This is one of the reasons the Canadian Government, the Australian Government or the Netherlands Government inflates the housing bubbles in Canada, Australia or the Netherlands — skilled expatriates have families, and families need houses — getting expatriates into million dollar mortgages is a good way to force them to stay ?
2022-10-17 0
My advice is stay in your country... go to Australia, NZ or USA don't go to canada

Lets not make fuzz out of nothing. India has world best education institutions thats why so many multicultural companies hire graduates from india every year. But people from two states P & G in india will do anything to go Canada, UK & Australia no one is inviting them there. It's nothing about education everyone want PR visa simple ?

Having lived in both Canada and Australia, I can clearly say life in Australia is much better than Canada! Tipping 18% to 20% on every service alone made me mad living there... Less paid leave, 7 months of indoor life, constant comparison with the US when US doesn't even care that Canada exists! My kids are more healthier and lively in Australia...

Most of these problems are not just Canadian problems but are immigrant problems and some are just developed nations problems , most people will face them in every country they go to!! The uk, us, Australia mention others are all expensive with just a 0.4 difference! Getting a Canadian passport and moving to another country which is not your native country will solve nothing and it’s not easy to move to a new country unless you have someone to sponsor you!! A Canadian passport will not allow you to work in the US or UK you will need sponsorship for a visa _ all it offers is a free visit visa for about 6 months I guess but not allowed to work! Work visas are complicated and depend more on skills than passport you hold! As a US citizen I can’t work in Canada visa free I can only visit_ the same with Canadians coming to the US or the UK ! \nFor the weather I feel you! We’re lucky In the US cos every type of weather you want you can get it without sacrificing living in a big city But other problems are quite similar everywhere! You have to walk around them and create ways to enjoy the beauty your country has to offer! Running away from from a country your a citizen of cos of loneliness or boredom is not a solution especially when you moving to a country your not even a resident of! Cos establishing residence is never easy unless you have a community there already! Otherwise it will be worse than where your running from!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. However, the issues you have faced in Australia will haunt you in some way in Canada too. I am a Canadian PR and just love Canada. The people are very nice, landscape is amazing, and it is cheaper than Australia. But it is just as hard in Canada to find a good job as it is in Australia. I am a Petroleum Engineer with over 10 years of experience working in a fortune 500 company, yet I cannot even get an interview for a related job in Canada. I also realized that lots of immigrants who came here through express entry and have years of experience work overseas despite staying in Canada for years due to the lack of opportunities. Anyway, best of luck to you.

Canada is probably more multicultural & accepting towards immigrants. Trust me, most people here in Australia are still nice & not racist (at least not in front of you, apart from some rarely seen low life loosers). Also, standards of living is slightly higher in Australia than Canada... So, more expensive.
2022-10-09 9
I have lived in Australia and now in Canada. Canada is a tough country in terms of weather, wages are low, taxes are higher than Australia, too expensive and very hard to save here. Starting wage here is 15$ whereas in perth, starting wage is 30$. House prices are higher than Canada. I believe you will regret leaving Australia for Canada sooner than later but I wish good luck.

same in canada as well. canada has larger forest than australia as canada is the second largest country in the world basically. most parts of the country is as empty as australia \nin australia, most people live near australian coast and in canada, most people live near us border

hey buddy, im an indian student currently studying in commerce.\nI'm planning for intake in 2023.\ntwo of the major countries in consideration are Canada and Australia. \nI recently researched about this and got to know that the rent prices as well as the taxes in Canada are hiking and it's now very difficult for students to survive.\nwhereas in Australia, it's the never ending story for difficulty in PR and whatnots.\nI would really like to have an advice from you on this.❤️??\n\nps. i forgot to add what course I want to pursue.\nI want to do BCA(Bachelor in Computer Application).

Canada,USA,Australia are a product of their mother the U.K. these countries will lure immigrants in with fake promises only to work you like cattle to prop up their economy. Basically, you become a SLAVE to the system before you die!
2022-09-26 1
Australia is probably friendlier than Canada. Don't expect to connect with white Canadians just any better than you did with white Australians. What Canada may be able to provide you with apart from easier immigration is a larger immigrant community. Lots of Africans and Caribbean people to connect with.

PERTH IS CLOSE FROM MANY COUNTRIES OVERSEAS THAN WHOLE CANADA , BRO I THINK YOU ARE TRY TO CONVINCE YOURSELF THAT CANADA BETTER OPETION THAN AUSTRALIA BECUASE YOU ARE LEAVING FOR NOT ABEL TO GET THE AUSTRALIAN PR .
2022-09-26 2
I HEARED ALOT OF PEOPLE SAID THAT JOB OPPOURTUNITIES IN AUSTRALIA IS MORE BEETER THAN CANADA ONLY IF YOU HAVE YOUR PR IN AUSTRALIA SINCE YOU ARE ON TEMPEROPRY VISA YOU WILL NOT FIND JOB IN AUSTRALIA .IN CANADA IS DIFFICULT TO FIND JOB IN BOTH SITTUATIONS THE COLD WEATHER IN CANADA NOT ENCOURGING AT ALL TO WORK

Your video just popped up and I was drawn to watch it. I have been in Sydney for 7 years. Same pathway in - a student visa, but I got PR through my studies soon after my graduation and now a citizen. Yes, I agree that Australian permanent residency is tough, but I also realise that not equipping yourself with the right information creates a hurdle for many people. If PR is the goal, the SOL and every other related information leading from that list should be your manual. Let that information guide your decisions. However, I concur that Australia's stance on immigration is confusing - harping on about skilled shortages and wanting to attract the right people, but also keeping them in limbo for ages. It makes for an unsustainable system. Good luck to you in Canada. May your wishes match your expectations.

Bad move,Canada is just as controlling as Australia.,especially Ontario.

People don't seem to understand that Canada and Australia are designed to make sure everyone is carried along.
2022-09-18 0
You do realize the cost of living is lower in Canada than it is in Australia and the United States?! But I'm fine if people don't want to immigrate here, I've travelled extensively and coming home always makes me grateful to live here!
2022-09-18 6
Interesting points. I have friends that have moved out to Canada and they now complain about it for different reasons some of witch what you've mentioned as drawbacks for Australia. Property in Canada is expensive, people work longer hours for less money and the cold weather most of the year (not to mention black ice in winter). Some people have also mentioned facing racism in Canada. Also cities over there are boring/not much to do (that's what I've been told). The grass isn't always greener on the other side. Also, you seem to have lived in one of the most boring and isolated cities in Australia. There's a reason why Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane are more populated than Perth and make the most liveable cities top list every year.

I would say Canada is much better for black people than Australia.
2022-09-17 0
In Australia, we get 4 weeks annual leave based on a 38hr week. I didn't realise Canada was 2 weeks, rising to 3 weeks after 5 years of working for the same employer and 4 weeks afrer 10 years. That does seem restrictive. Apart from that, Australia has high taxes, high insurance costs etc.

There is nothing like to “pursue a better life”.......it is a myth governments like UK, America, Canada, Europe, Australia use to provide and continue the cycle of nonstop labour force for globalisation that benefits billionaire donors and politicians......you can have a better life in your country as well.
2022-09-16 0
I'm glad that years ago, I made the decision to move from Africa to Australia instead of Canada.
2022-09-11 0
you two stop complaining about a country who changed your life if you were in Nigeria you were thinking about immigration tp Canada now bcs you got money from Canada you talk crap about Canada I see some of people who being living in USA Canada European and Australia coming back to Africa blasting those countries forget they life change bcs of those beautiful country's please thank God for what you have in your immigration to those country's
2022-09-07 2
Well said Mate. I'm Nigerian studying in Melbourne and you are very on point with your submissions. Australia is notoriously gaining a reputation of being a country of temporary immigrants. I dont see why I should give my best years to a country treating you as an option when canada is making you a priority. \n\nWould you have stayed on if you got a Job in your field that also chose to sponsor your PR? Would the cold in cananda make you reconsider your decisions? That's a racket I dont seem to understand. So much emphasis on skills and job shortages, yet many skilled graduates from their universities are being denied jobs based on their Residency status. \n\nI.met a Ghanain PHD student in my Uni who came from Canada, he said wages are higher here hence his reason for coming. \n\nLike you said , its a personal journey for everyone.\n\nSomehow, I don't blame them. They never promised PR but they should not also give impression that we are coveted.\n\nI still dont regret coming here though, it adds to my rich life experience. I recently just got my canada visit visa and will be travelling to see my option in canada first. \n\nYou just earned yourself another follower. Cheers mate.

Hello I am an Indian planning to migrate abroad and my primary targets are Australia and Canada and after watching this video I am inclined toward Canada but I researched thoroughly and found that moving to Canada is very tough especially for a person like me who has done a Bachelor of science with physics as my core subject but doesn't have any skills other than my Bachelor's degree. My question is which country among the two are easier to migrate with my qualification?
2022-09-04 5
Very good video. I am an Australian citizen, and I share your views. Also I want to add another reason why I prefer Canada than Australia. Being originally from Peru, I currently live in Peru, my wife is also Peruvian and a baby with 5 month at the time of writing, however there is no family reunion visa to take my whole family (only my baby who will hold Australian citizenship but not my wife) so I cannot take them both, because migrations force my wife to apply to the Partner Visa, that cost AU$7850 (US$5,600) plus agent fees, documents, ticket price, and other cost. Also the waiting period is about 24 to 28 months. So if I return to Australia, I first need to find a job, then save the $5,600, send and amount of money to Peru during my absence, then wait about 2 years and spend about $10,000 to $15,000 extra to bring my family to Australia. The cost of waiting carries a lot of anxiety, health issued due to the uncertainty and may damage my marriage, And if I get to my wife a Visitor visa, she is not allowed to work and study, and I must pay private insurance, and for experience, private insurance policies and gap costs are very high. Of course visiting my family every 6 months is costly and timely prohibited, an economic flight from Australia to Peru costs about US$2,500 and takes about 1 day or 38 hours, add also the jet lag and day difference.\nIn contrast, Canada allows me to take my whole family in just 3 months, my wife can get a working visa, and if we decided to reunite in 6 o 9 month, I can go to Peru every long weekend to visit my family, a flight from Toronto to Lima is about $500 return and only 8 hours so I can go to Peru and come back to Canada in a long weeked, a luxury imposible to do if I lived in Australia. \nWhen my father passed away here in Lima, I was in Australia at university, and due to cost and time, I couldn't go to give him a farewell and to his funeral, a issue that regretted; for that reason, my mother-in-law, who needs care and being my wife, her only child, after facing my own experience, we decided that Canada and not Australia, is a better choice, if something happens with my in-law, from Canada my wife can see her quickly.\nThank you for sharing in this video
