GREAT!!. The whole world needs to stand up to this disgusting, bullying, ignorant, demented fool in the White House and his spineless quislings in the U.S. Congress. These tariffs are about nothing other than Trump's need to bully and exact retribution against everyone who he thinks has screwed, cheated and disrespected him, which in his mind is just about everyone in the world except Putin.

There is a reason for the tariffs; Trump is fooling his idiotic supporters that he’s doing what he said he would do and they are dumb enough to believe it while they pay more for gas and food! You cant make this ishh up!

Canada wont go to sell in EU or China it's over seas way to long and most of the times still has to go thru the US lol it's to costly for one, and EU just wont cover all the cost, forget the logistic nightmare. Trump did not achieve the increase in Canada border enforcement. That was a deal made between Trudeau and Biden. You can search for it and see it was in the news last year. Thankful that Trump didn’t cancel that cooperation, granted we shall see with the pending deadline for tariffs.

I'm a Canadian and I had no clue that we had this issue... Most of our media is government funded and so they don't report wrong doings of the administration like they should, plus lots of censoring so this is the first im hearing of it. I don’t know if people realize that there is a bunch of factories in Canada near the border that make fentanyl. Trump has more information on what is happening in the US Canada border. 25 % tariffs is far to low not only is Canada letting a bunch of illegal people come in and cost us taxpayers some serious money but they are also making the fentanyl problem far to big.

Trump needs to cripple Canada and hit them with a 50% tariff.

Canada wonder why President Trump is putting tariffs on them will there a reason Trudeau letting in migrants and letting them enter the US.

I used to think Pres. Trump was being too hard on Canada then I got a look at the tariffs they impose on our goods. Some as high as 250%. I think Trump just wants a level playing field and a lot of help from Canada on the border. I think Poilievre feels the need to talk tough in response but I think he really wants the same things as Trump. I hope Poilievre becomes PM because he's conservative and I think he'll work well with Trump as they're both conservative nationalists.

Canada has been doing virtually nothing to stem the flow of fentanyl precursors into their country (on ships from China) and out across the U.S. border. That is the most pressing reason for the Trump tariffs.

Canada is securing their borders because of the frequent and much more abundant cases of drugs and guns being smuggled into Canada! The stepped up Canadian border enforcement was already well underway months before Trump made his tariff threats. \nThink about it, the 43lbs of fentanyl that was smuggled in from Canada, at the US border, is a drop in the bucket in comparison to the flow of it that comes in through the ports. Also think about when you cross a border, it’s the country you are crossing into that checks you out. Classic case of Trump blaming others for US failure.
