Rents and forget about buying a house in BC, AB, Quebec, Ontario. High unemployment, Inflation is high and going up more. We also do not have a military defense system and the U.S. is tired of Canada not spending money to meet their responsibility as a Nato country. Many Canadians are leaving the country permanent. Investors and businesses are pulling out. Canada is trillions in debt but keep printing more money (toilet paper). Canada has gone downhill significantly over the past ten years. Born Canadians and legit immigrants having to go through a rigorous immigration process are very unhappy and cause conflict. These trouble makers have not intentions to assimilate into Canada's culture and are disrespectful to the Canadian government and it's citizens. Our youth are very unhappy and do not see a future for themselves yet have to work very hard and pay unbelievable high taxes. The minimum wages are only 15 bucks an hour which cannot sustain life here in this country. Please stop making false promises to foreigners to come here and be disappointed. This is not a country of milk and honey any longer but poor and enormous homelessness. Hunger, terrible health care, incredible post secondary tuitions and books. Now that president Trump has won the election he is going to place tariffs on Canadian goods and rightfully so. Russia is very interested in the Antarctica and should they or anyone invade Canada we got 3 days of ammunition. The food in AB is very bad for your health. Everything has pesticides, hormones, and by the time fruit and vegies arrive here from the US all the nutrition have gone. A extremely high cancer rate, young and old, diabetes, depression and other mental disorders are rampant. Our children and grandchildren do not have a future so why bother going to school or work. Our kids live on the streets, shelters, camping in the woods and using fentanyl and meth all kinds of dangerous drugs. The cities and small towns are full of used needles, pipes, and more paraphelia just thrown on the trails everywhere. The US will not assist Canada when a possible War 3 will occur, and we the people of Canada and the land are easy prey. If you do not believe me, just come visit RED Deer shelters and walk around on the trails, go to Vancouver but becareful because random assaults are happening every day, people living in tents, using the streets as toilets, drugs galore, even the police is unable to act nor arrest criminal activities caused by desperate people who need to survive. Canada's economy is about to collapse and fall into a recession. We have too many people coming in our country without checking their back ground and many criminals and terrorist groups are entering declaring refugee status whether it is true or not, we do not know. The people of Canada who work and pay highest taxes are used to house these newcomers and education, jobs, food and money. Our government take better care of these illegal people than their own people especially our youth. So please let us not pretend Canada is a land of opportunity and great. I'm doing just fine in Canada, where I've lived my whole life except for 7 years in Japan. Any difficulties people having comes down to the individual, not a systematic national problem. My rent in Vancouver is under $1000, because I haven't moved in 11 years. I have no debt, no car, no expensive lifestyle, no drug habit. I made good choices. Others have not.\n\nCanada is still a land of opportunity if you get a job, get your vaccines, live within your means and don't expect a 1950s style economy, anyone can do fine. Healthcare access needs improvement, but we had a pandemic. The whole world did. \n\nIf you feel like you can't make it in Canada, you have no one to blame but yourself. Everything is relative. I came to Canada in 1989 with my twin sister. I haven't left Canada ever since I came in. My twin sister left Canada for good in 2023. I did not come to Canada because I needed more money. I came to Canada because I did not have a country. Canada became my home country but the crazy thing is I don't recognize the Canada I knew over the years. Many people came to Canada to take advantage of this wonderful nation. My beloved city of Toronto turned into a third world country. I'm now in Alberta where I work hard and pay my taxes. My Canada is a paradise on earth. My Canada deserves people who loves it. I had my hardship in my early years and that was what I had to go through. When new immigrants try to cut corners, I always remind them to earn their muthafuka turn. The liberal party screwed up Canada. As I didn’t have emergencies, I didn’t wait more than a month for specialists. Canadians don’t like travelling to get appointments sooner which is common in the US. \nMany here think emergency room wait times in the States is much shorter, but I’ve accompanied friends in New York State for treatment only to wait over eight hours. \nHere in Niagara Falls, Canada my ex had a kidney stone causing great pain. The wait time to get morphine and treatment was about 45 min. \nI got a colonoscopy in four days here. In the US I waited three months. \nNo cost or copayments, and there are no in-network requirements that I know of. \nI would not live in the US again. Visiting is just fine!

I’m an international student, from my perspective it seems like the government can’t keep themselves from messing with the economy, basically crippling it by regulations, making the market unable to take advantage of the increased labor supply.\n\nI have spent almost half a million in Canada, which includes tuition, living cost, and starting a business which now employs two Canadians. But because I spent one term as a part time student, I have became ineligible for PGWP, which means I have no way of staying in Canada through my own agencies.\n\nThat is a slap in the face for immigrants whove come here to settle, the fact that I have positively contributed to the Canadian economy than many Canadians ever have, while withdrawing absolutely zero from public benefits, now if I buy a house here yall will drop on me a 50%+ capital gains tax and then kick me out, why would anyone want to invest in Canada? I’m seriously considering just moving to Florida because of all these. \n\nWhat happened to the good old days when you can come here with nothing, integrate into the community, and then become Canadians? Almost none of the forefathers of Canadians had to contribute this much into the society first to become Canadians, they stayed because their peers wanted them to stay, and the market was free to adjust to the labor supply and housing demand without government interference.\n\nWhat I see is not an immigration problem, it’s a big government problem, Canadians have become addicted to the government making decisions for them. It’s great to see and hear two well informed Russian immigrants who clearly know what’s wrong with Canada than most of its complacent citizens and mostly all of its politicians. I watch many YouTube videos of westerners,mostly Americans,Canadians, Australians Brits who have emigrated to Russia many with their families. They all have good things to say about their experiences and don’t regret their move.\nWhich begs the question I must ask. As a current international student I can say I am happy for all this changes Canada is doing in the immigration system sadly it was taken advantage by too many indians and people from africa that came here with not the best intentions, I can confidently say if in my case is not possible to stay I will happily return to central america with good memories and good friendships and start working again. thats life

Not every province and territory celebrates the same holidays, memorials or statutory holidays.\nPeople in Newfoundland are as different from the rest of Canada as the Scots and Irish are in their homelands. Alberta has cowboys, BC has sailors, Saskatchewan has wheat and Manitoba has the Guess Who and mosquitos. Ontario is just arrogant, Quebec is just Quebec. There is NOTHING Canadian about Quebec. If they had it their way they would have been independent since the 1750s. They don't even like to speak English. They do it out of obligation to the federation. \nThe Maritimes are again, unique unto themselves. They could easily be an independent nation and then their true culture would shine. Why they practically speak a different language. They have been here longer than any of us and are in fact the most unique culture in all of Canada with the exception of one very important factor:\nThe First Nations of Canada. I appreciate your take. I believe Canada's key issue is that it is facing a cultural decay, which is not exclusive to Canada. Many countries in the west are challenged by similar things such as aging populations and unaffordability. \n\nIt works in a cycle: governments and corporations take turns screwing over the general population and most people cannot afford anything. Corporation does A then government does B; government does X then corporation does Y. On the surface, government is _trying_ to do a good thing, but it backfires quite often, leaving the average person feeling scorned. \n\nChief among these corrective measures was mass immigration, and because there was already a climate of indignation, the introduction of too-many-immigrants was a huge slap in the face. Instead of making sure Canadians were better taken care of, the government responded to the corporations--not the people. \n\nGDP numbers mean nothing to the average Canadian person if their quality of life is in decline. The only people still in favour of mass immigration are those who do not have to confront it on a day-to-day basis. Even Canadian-born (or even Canadian Citizens of 5+ years) minorities, think the immigration problem is too much.

Yeah the government is going hard after immigrants right now, which is good because there was a lot of abuse and the rate of immigration was far too high, but also it's not the root of the problem where housing is concerned. \n\nIn this way, immigrants are a scapegoat for the housing crisis. They're being offered up as sacrificial lambs to the slaughter by our politicians in the hopes that it will appease voters. But at the same time our politicians also hoping that we don't notice how little they're doing to actually solve the real fundamental problems.\n\nBut solving those problems will require a complete shift in our approach to the finance sector and the tax code, as well as towards city planning and housing policy in general. These are things we can achieve. But not without significant adjustments to the status quo. And if there's one thing the status quo hates, it's changes to the status quo.\n\nSo here's what I expect from our politicians in years to come: more of the same empty promises and half measures. They'll keep doing that until there's a massive market correction and everyone in Canada loses their shirt. I completely disagree with the international student english proficiency requirement to get a PGWP (i.e. for all international students). To get into any University program in Canada, you will need to pass an English Language proficiency test like IELTS or TOEFL anyways. At least for my four years of an Engineering degree, three co-op terms and a full-time secured Engineering position, 8 months before graduation you would think this international student knows how to communicate in English :). \n\nYes, there are certain students who just want to get the PR and don't care about the degree they are getting and probably just passed with the minimum IELTS requirement. A solution would be to make certain degrees like college diploma students take the English Language proficiency test again and at least have a language testing system which is free for these people. Spending $300-$400 after spending so much on international tuition fee to graduate from Bachelor's degree is a good policy in my honest opinion.

Canada was too naive and didn't learn from the usa. It mostly attracted people from India, Bangladesh and Pakistan, from where students somehow show bank statements but actually do not bring those money with them, let alone being of a good quality student. The damage to Canada's economy and society is already done. Even if we replaced the corrupt government tomorrow and replaced it with a good government it could take decades to recover. The Government of Canada combined with Bank of Canada turned the economy into one giant Ponzie scheme. Thank you for summarizing these key changes! Many problems are actually the Canadian immigration system not learning from the mistakes of the US system and now it’s suffering the same consequences. If Canada cuts down on those selected immigrations but still takes in refugees, it’s only going to make anti-immigrant sentiment worse. Selected immigrants are allowed into Canada to help alleviate Canadian issues…or at least people who come through Express Entry are less likely to become a burden. On the other hand, refugees, given their unfortunate circumstances, really need to rely on a lot of social services and resources to help them resettle. The US has eliminated pretty much all non-humanitarian immigration that’s why immigrants are so demonized there. Americans only feel the drags of refugees and asylum seekers (even though ethically we need to protect them) and there is no selected immigration to balance that out. Yet this round of Canadian policy change is heading exactly that direction.\n\nIt used to be international students in Canada are not paying a lot more tuition than Canadian students. But Canadian universities saw how much money universities in the US are making so they asked the federal government to change the policy to enable them to charge international students several times the regular tuition (whereas in countries like France, international students actually pay less than citizens). So now Canadian universities rely too much on international students to operate and it becomes an exploitative relationship even before students step foot on the campus. The new PGWP eligibility is awful because students can make contributions in every field. It might (and that's a big if) address the pressing problems, but it won't help Canada grow.\n\nI thought the new language requirement was interesting. Some Canadians who immigrated decades ago when the bar was really low still speak English poorly and now they are saying people can’t come to Canada because their language skills are not sufficient. Another point about language is if you apply through Express Entry now, even if you scored the highest language score, given how competitive the pool is, you still won’t get selected. So it’s a given that you need to be fluent in one of the languages at least to get an invitation. Express Entry also selects only the top people, I saw the head of The Institute for Canadian Citizenship in interviews talking about those top-tier people only expect the best treatment/lifestyle when they come to Canada. That's why many of them leave after seeing these Canadian problems play out. But I believe a good Canadian life is not about living in a high rise in Vancouver and Toronto, driving an expensive car, or buying luxury items...it's about the communities, nature and middle-class comfort. So the system is giving PRs to the wrong kind of people (just like mismatched people when hiring that don't align with company values).\n\nThis brings me to the last frustrating issue. There were so many people who attended “fake” universities and bought “fake” jobs to earn points to get an Express Entry invitation. And it's clear that the government wasn't proactively catching these abuses. They are taking up spots from those who try to earn the points fair and square. If I understand correctly, Canada doesn’t send these people away if they are found out (since some of them were scammed). So they still take up immigration quotas.\n\nI have wanted to move to Canada for a long time. I have visited Canada many times, hiking trails through the coastline and fjords, climbing mountains and glaciers. I lived in Montreal for two months to improve my French and I was told by my homestay family that I was the first student they had who didn’t complain about the cold (I wish the winter never ends so I can skate or xc ski in the parks year-round). I have probably seen more Canada than many Canadians and I love every bit of it. But the opportunity for me to even get a shot to move there is pretty much nonexistent now. If only there was a way for the system to allow people who really care about Canada to get a shot at being part of this beautiful country.\n\nThank you for making these videos.

I am an Indian, came here for ML research. Was unpleasantly surprised to witness so many unskilled Indians ruining the country. Uneducated, can't speak English, rude, unkempt. Like I love my country but I also love the country I immigrated to. I know tons of Indian friends like me who feel the same way. We all feel like we scammed ourselves into coming here. Every doordash and uber guy in Toronto is an Indian guy, who probably came here through a diploma mill. Why did Canada let this happen? Weirdly enough, even now, it's easier to get into Canada as a Khalistani terrorist or an LMIA abuser with a fake IELTS score and fake college admission letter than honest Indians who come here for higher education at good schools. Anyone reading this and from India, just go to the US man. At least despite the H1B lottery they respect your time more than Canada and you earn way more in 2-3 years than you would here in 6 years.\n\nPs : I singled out Indians since I am one but Palestinian refugees with their never ending incessant virtue signalling marches, Ukrainians with their virtue signalling marches and destruction of property, middle eastern refugees etc are all part of the problem. It's like they came here to bring their problems with them.

If Canada is their dream then just stay there, we're good down here, party is over

Things are not good in USA or Canada, Our own people are not being looked after. It unpacks all areas of living. If our economy was better and we didn't have open border it would be different

Please dont put down Canada, I worked for a guy that was from Brazil, he would always complain about Canada, he had a successful business here. One day I finally had enough, Told him to go back to Brazil, And then QUIT on the spot in front of staff, I felt so good, I said what all the others always thought .

I just watched your video mow. Good job! I have made some mistakes in the past and am denied visa to canada twice. I lost a lot of money to POF. Can l still apply after being denied twice?
