No thanks. I can stand in line at Starbucks and feel fairly confident that none of the other patrons are carrying guns. I used to enjoy visiting the U.S. on vacation but not for years now.

I don't know if money and fame would be enough to overcome my distaste for American politics, religion and guns to move there. I really don't have a reason to visit there anymore. I used to love it there growing up and later being able to bring my own kids, but it's not the country I used to know....Florida scares me.....cheers from Canada.

Gun violence has not affected you... yet.

As an American living in Canada for almost 50 years, there is absolutely no way that I would consider moving back to the US at this time. The political environment has become so polarized and, quite frankly, I'm really worried that democracy is in jeopardy in the United States. I echo the sentiment of all those who have said that the gun culture, racism, misogyny, and lack of equal access to healthcare are all excellent reasons to avoid moving to the US.

A machine gun will fix that problem

As a Canadian there looks like some great places to visit in the USA but i would never move to the US. The biggest issue in the US is Gun violence, there attachment to guns. Number two is health care, number three is weather volatility and more adverse weather conditions. Instead of one main government the US seems to have two which prevents any real change for the better. Money controls more government and political decisions than even in Canada which is already bad enough. The NRA controls more government and policing. They are seen as the bigger risk to American safety and security. I believe many Canadians believe the NRA are on the cusp of being the largest domestic terrorist organization and closure to a major cartel. Not even the military could control the NRA if the US decided to enforce new laws that the NRA felt would effect their financial, political or perceived control in the US. This is a big reason Canadians may not want to move to the US. To think there is a private military ready to go to war against their own people in the drop of a hat, reminding North Americans of the war between the North and South. There are beautiful places to see in the US, there are hard working and brave people in the US and i am sure there are more good people than bad but those with power, control and weapons have the great degree of balance. The US has a lot to be proud of and still so much possibility and ability to grow if it were not for those with the majority of power that is not being used for good or in the best interest of the majority of US citizens. Love the architecture and old districts and those trying to preserve the environment, farms, seed diversity and best of what made the US great.

Canada and most Canadians feel strongly about human rights, that's why you are getting all the abortion comments. The abortion laws in the US are absolutely ridiculous and dangerous. \nI wont even get started on gun laws. We have like, basic gun laws. Most people I know hunt and own guns, etc. It seems like Americans have a taste for gun violence.

There's not enough money or other cultural incentives that could impel me to to even consider moving to the US,. Not with all the religious right wingnuts and guns that even mentally ill people can get their hands on. Oh yes, and your health care system bloody sucks...big time. Thanks, but no thanks.

War on women, war on the poor people, crazy religious cult and ‘’religions’’, crazy interpretation of 2nd amendment witch was writen when guns took 45 seconds to reload, crazy thief politicians, very large number of anti vax and anti science in general, very self centered knowlege of history, no chance for good education for the poor. Lol All of the benefits you listed at the start of your video about living in the US, Canada has. We have McDonalds and Starbucks everywhere too, we have amusement parks, and job opportunities. As a Canadian, any time I travel to the US I am like concerned about gun violence. When I interact with someone in Canada I can be pretty confident they are not carrying a gun, or have a gun in their car. I still travel there though.

As a Canadian from the Maritimes I have to agree with all the reasons he read. Any time I travel south I have the highest travel insurance to fly me back to Canada if something happens. I have visited the US many times and enjoyed it while I was there but was VERY happy to be home. I agree the small towns are safER but I saw people driving around with 5 LARGE guns in the roof rack of their truck, I DO NOT mean hunting rifles. NOPE! Got in the rental car and headed North out of Georgia right away. The South IS beautiful to see and may people were very sweet but I did not feel safe there. I prefer the Northern states. I was thinking about my yearly vacation options recently and the US was NO WHERE on my list. Mostly Northern Europe, Italy, and Greece. Sorry, but that's my opinion of my travels there.

Gun violence happens in small towns too- the recent school shootings are in small towns - does not make you immune- why legally allow someone to carry an assault weapon - it’s a weapon of mass destruction and has no place in this world or in the hands of any single person !! Just got back from Europe vacation and there were lots of questions about what we knew about what was happening in the States and why the heck is going on with guns

I would go only for the guns. If i could find a place away from city in a gun state and my money was worth the same. I am afraid of your women those Canadian women and men know what it is like to be stuck in snow storm throw a few of your women in a cabin with no electricity and we will see what they say after a week

How do you come to terms about your child or your neighbors child or ANY child, for that matter, not coming home from school because somebody got a new gun and had a vendetta against who knows what and decided that school that day was a target? That is why a Canadian won't move to the US.

Things I love about being Canadian-- our multiculturalism, our gun control, our availability of abortions, our laws against discrimination that include protecting the rights of the LGBTQ2S community, poutine (hey, it's a thing), that elections don't take two years and constant blathering, blood donors, and our libraries kinda rock. There is so much more. Like how we would not put babies in cages. We have our problems for sure! Some First Nations communities still don't have clean drinking water and we are being so slow about the truth and reconciliation process. Our taxes can be insane. But all in all, it would take a comet hurling straight for Ontario for me to even consider moving South.

The gun culture is insane, i would never move to the states, i do not wish to be shot. I would never visit the states for any reason.\nEdit, Canadians HAVE guns. My 63 year old mother in law bought a shot gun for her hikes, cuz bears and cougars. Grandpa is a marksman and at age 87 STILL competes in shooting competitions and regularly wins.\nThe problem is how Americans FEEL about guns. I really hope you read these comments Tyler. You are so blinded by the American propaganda machine and I really suggest you at least do some travelling out of country for a prolonged period of time to see how the rest of the world really is. I hope some of these harsher comments at least open your eyes. I am born and raised Canadian who used to spend about a month a year in the states and now I can’t say I’ll go back. The gun violence just in the last few years is sickening. Having bad places to live doesn’t apply to the US anymore, everywhere is bad to live and it’s only a matter of time before the reality comes to YOUR small town. Usually I really like your videos but this one hits a little too hard on how everyone in America has been brainwashed into thinking their normal is ‘great’. I like your openness in presenting this tricky question and in reacting to the answers. I'm shocked, though, that you're not shocked about the omnipresence of guns. It's like US people have become, as you said, numb to the number of people killed by fire arms in the US, be it for mundane or revenge reasons. To me, it is very disquieting. More availability to fire arms means more mentally impulse driven/mentally sick people have the ability to get a gun, hence more mass (or individual) murder. It's kind of mathematical, no ?

We cant judge them and utter stupid comments like they are a country of guns and all..Think logically , A knife is a weapon used in commiting crimes all over the world even in India..It maybe religious to you but it symbolises a threat..Imagine, if in african religion, swords and blades are considered religious just like kiprans and they start taking it anywhere and everywhere like the kirpans, in India will the police or any security personnel allow this ?.

I agree with many of the points regarding extremist politics, religion, guns, and healthcare. Another concern for me is that when visiting the US I don’t see people of different races mixing as friends very often. Even neighbourhoods seem to be segregated. Not an environment I’d enjoy living in. I love the mix of cultural backgrounds and how natural it is.

I would not move to the US. I have vacationed 3 different times, so a man thrown against a car with multiple police drawing their guns on him and had a pointed at me the other time I went to the US. I’ve never seen a gun in public in Canada. I have not been to the US on over a decade and I will not be vacationing there as long as things continue to escalate they way they are. It’s unfortunate because there are so many beautiful places to visit and people are generally very friendly.

No never nada …Canada is beautiful. The gun culture in the U.S. is insane along with the refusal to create a health care system that protects everyone, rich or poor. Our education system in Canada is superior to that of your country. Our political system is superior to that of your country and although there are some loopholes that need attention, we on the whole can not be bought. I live in a province that wants to emulate your culture and I find it repulsive. There are amazing people in your country but the minority of misfits give you a huge black eye. My Grandpa was born in New England and one day, when sanity becomes the norm, I want to visit his birth place.

Canadian here. I’ll never forget visiting Disneyworld and hearing the people sitting across from me complain they weren’t allowed to bring their guns into the park. They didn’t get why it was an issue. It was horrifying and mind blowing. It’s that part of America gun culture that makes me very sure I’d never move there. I know it’s not all Americans, but knowing an American family is out there annoyed they can’t bring weapons into a family theme park is enough.

1. Healthcare is non-existent. 2. In general, americans are rude and ignorant to others. 2. GUNS - too dangerous with U.S. gun laws. 3. TIPPING: Americans either don't tip or are extremely cheap and ignoant to servers (I am not a server. This has been my observation over several years.) 4. ROADS - U.S. roads are all giant pot-holes. 5. DANGEROUS and Poverty - there are too many areas of poverty and danger. TRUMP and BIDEN! 6. SCHOOLS - Too scary. 7. TRUMP and BIDEN - Nopety, Nope, Nope, Nope! **There are some PROS, but the negatives outweigh these** I can list another 1,000 or so negatives.

I’m late to this video but I just wanted to correct y’all by saying that the school shootings that happen in the US are NOT accidents. They are terrible tragedies that should be preventing but we find ourselves continuously dealing with them. I live in Québec, borned and raised here too. I would NEVER move to USA. There is no good reason to do that. As a woman, I would fear for my safety, my health and my rights on my body. Hell fucking no. This country feels like it's back to the 1800s with all these guns and archaic laws. The Far West era is far far away behind us, and it should stay right there. From Montreal here, I,ve been to Florida on five consecutive winters, before Covid, stayed in Pompano (Deerfield area), on day time, I never felt unsafe, but, I was told to never wander outside the resort for an evening walk, sometimes, in the night, we,d hear gunshots popping . This fact itself gives you something to think about. This whole gun violence situation is keeping people from enjoying Life like we should, .I was there (10 minutes away from( when parkland school shooting took place, enough to reinforce our feeling of Insecurity. NO, I would never consider moving to the States

Swedish man here. I need to say many people I know in my country are quite worried by the number of school shootings you have each year. But I should not be surprised with your 350 mil+ population and gun laws. And we are also seeing these problems increase in Sweden these recent years, and all of Europe.

I would be back in Canada in a flash if my children weren’t settled here. The politics, gun culture, religious extremism, healthcare costs are unbearable. Having said that, I have a good life but miss my culture and that Canada generally puts people before greed.
