I am an immigrant, close to become a Canadian citizen. I chose Canada to live with my family and I love this country. \nThat said, I could not agree more with what was said. Things are completely out of control. We can't bring that many people and have no infrastructure to support them. Housing, health care, everything is in a crisis because of Trudeau. If I get my citizenship before the next elections, I will help voting him out!

Waiters, cashiers, delivery, customer service in general, they deserve love, their job us very stressful, a lot of jobs are stressful but these people are not being paid nearly enough for all that stress, the least you can do is being respectful.

I was misdiagnosed for year and could have died when I went to the emergency room. I needed surgery and was told my wait would be two years. Then, when I went to Serbia to have life-saving surgery, the government would not refund the cost, because they decided it was not an emergency—I “could have survived with a catheter”. The doctors in Canada are kind and lovely people, but they are just overworked. The system is completely broken. I’ve been telling all my European friends who are thinking of immigrating to Canada to stay far away. Is there a single government service in Canada that is functioning well?

I came here as an international student, back then you could only get your PR if you studied at an accredited university, not a career college. Back then skilled workers were required, and that is how you were able to get a PR. Canada has changed so much, multicultural has left and more and more there are two cultures dominating. I came here because I use to visit for our annual holidays then decide I liked the culture and wanted to study here. The landscape has shifted , Canadians will soon be the minority and that is not the Canada I want to be paying taxes in. \nThere are always protesters waving foreign flags demanding that the government help their families, love ones in another country, meanwhile Canadians here are loosing their homes , can't afford food, basic life necessities and living in tents. Charity should start at home first.\nResponsible tax payers cannot afford to have kids, why because the taxes we pay are too high, if we're struggling to survive why would we subject a child into this world to experience the same. However, there are millions of dollars in incentives for people who never paid in to come to Canada with their extended family members who are dependent on government support, that we the taxpayers have to finance. The aging population could be address if the affordability could be address for citizens living here and PAYING taxes. If the government wants to bring in aging populations who never worked in Canada, their families should be funding their living here including healthcare, not taxpayers. Invest in your people first , help Canadians become more skilled to fill positions that there are shortages, lower taxes to allow Canadians to have said families and replenish the population , these are the people who would always put Canada first.

This video and channel are ridiculous. If you look at literally all of the other videos this guy does, especially his popular ones, he talks negatively about EVERY SINGLE COUNTRY. And I’ll let you all in on a little secret- people only want to listen to BAD news. Why do you think news channels dominate television? Same reason why this guy has so many views on his pointless videos- because people love bad news. Of course every country has flaws that might even be to much for a person to want to move there- but when your entire YouTube channel is based on fear mongering- where is ANYONE supposed to want to move too? And it’s honestly so laughable how many of you in these comments are just riding the coattails of everyone else without a single positive thought.

I love how immigration is sold to people as benefit and economic prosperity tool but ,... it costs something too .. including integration to society and other social costs for education and healthcare ... depends at what age and in what sectors you have the immigration. It is way easier to do (if you want it even) with specific and focused visa to allow just people the economy needs and are the best cost/benefit for the economy. Or just do not do it at all and support natality of your own nation? What about that

I think the best part about Canada that you can't find anywhere else is the people and the landscape. Everyone here is so friendly and willing to help their neighbor. I find when I travel, the world feels much colder than here. Unfortunately it's all these amazing people who are suffering to no fault of their own. I haven't been to a doctor since I moved to Quebec (Born and raised Albertan) and I think it's among the worst of the provinces in terms of healthcare and infrastructure and considering it's the highest taxes in all the provinces. Luckily in Quebec City though it's still very affordable (relative to the rest of the country) but the housing market is still getting expensive here very fast. in 2020 my friend bought an apartment for 300k and within 4 years it's easily almost doubled in value for no reason other than inflation in the market. I love this country but indeed things need to change

Oh i wasn’t expecting quebec to be thee no1 on this list but it’s nice to see it there im from greater Montreal\nIm not the bragging type but it feels nice to see it there especially that most people don’t fully appreciate the luck we have\nIt’s also funny to see that most people from outside say Montreal is amazing and people from around the city love to hate it for some reasons\nI must say that recent years have been hard cos of the consequences of the pandemic among other things which made the access to healthcare much harder than just a few years ago and also the prices of houses and rents have exploded since 2020 and the crime rate have raised in Montreal but not as much as cities cited in the video from the prairies \nI think its still a great place and safe place to live and we are lucky to be in that province and that country even though quebecois love to complain or as we say « chialer »

I feel like moving as a lifelong Canadian. I love people and love culture. I don't like extremists. \n\nMy problem is simply I don't our government is ethical nor caring to it's citizens, and as far as immigrants go, I am absolutely all for it with a reasonable rate without displacement or a negative sum on people that have built families here already. You can't just say we want to help and not give one thought about implications whatsoever. \n\nWhere I live you can't add thousands of people without thinking about making roards wider or more busses.\n\nWe don't look like idiots, we are. Let's welcome a host of new beautiful people into out country and not have a single plan in place besides pay for their housing (not necessarily bad), pay for their transportation (not necessarily bad), and allow a rent bubble to put our welcoming citizens with Trades to live in tents.\n\nHow about this as a sane alternative, the billions of dollars in road tax from gas prices which hasn't improved the roads, and the billions from legalized gambling...how about we audit our government and take a hard and difficult look as to where all this tax money goes, and more importantly the detailed justification? \n\nSame thing, same day. Canada has to be corrupt as the day is long OR our greatness was built on an history of lies. I love how the security guards were all brand new immigrants too ? In brampton there was a line up at a restaurant 1000 people long for ONE job posting. \n\nIts impossible to live here. And the government thinks its OK because aggregate market prives for apartments are 'acceptable'at 2300/month for a single bedroom. Pains me so deeply. I work at a Hotel. Without going into detail, we house so many refugees from Sudan, Nigeria, Ukraine etc. completely for free. They are all lovely people for the most part don't mistake my meaning, but I seldom hear of such programs addressing widespread actual Canadian citzen homeless housing, nor have any of the refugees at my Hotel been Canadian citizens born and raised who were granted asylum. \n\nThe other day I had to kick out a homeless gentleman from my hotel who was sleeping in the heated stair-wells. My manager instructed me to contact the non-emergency police number and get them to escort him out and/or possibly trespass him. He was compliant, not rude and understanding and wasn't causing any property damage or bothering anyone, nor consuming drugs or anything of the sort. It pained my heart and it reminded me of the risks I may face in the future considering how fucked the housing is.\n\n100%, and I mean 100%, of the new employees we've hired in the Hotel are Indian students here on student-visas, or refugees (many Ukrainians and one African lady). And 0% of the people being housed at my Hotel are Canadian born citizens. Disgusting mess of a country with all thanks owing to J.T.

I lived in the city on and off as a kid and I saw homeless people every now and then depending where I was. I fell in love with the areas I lived in and seeing where my dad grew up and high park. Now I don’t feel safe. I don’t even think I’d feel safe bringing my dog down and visiting my family. Now I see a lot of people homeless in nicer areas and just everywhere. It’s truly so sad my dad even said that it there was problems when he was growing up but now it’s just so much worse.

If Canada have back door for international students, they should have resources for homeless-especially single homeless-to afford the rent or own apartment. For example, single Canadian should be half interest rate than partner if they have RRSP, and people if they can't afford the rental fee, gov should be paired the roommates for them to rent a place for a tempare home. And the job marketing should be do more for that, gov can give a little bit taxes benefit for they hire the people are homeless and getting help from gov in the first year. \nAnd gov should be provide more NGO to support the relationship consulting to Canadian for to know how to easy and healthy into their relationship (marriage or family). Drug problem is another big issue in Canada and USA but fortunately gun violence is less than US. Healthcare getting worse everyday. Bad neighborhood experience which destroyed my health for life mostly because of spoof call attack. Bad policing which killed many innocent people. Woke laws and culture which marginalized men who are driving force of society. Very weird working experience. Work for yourself or get enslaved by another employer that's why people would love to work for government. Housing prices skyrocketing in big cities and there is no foreseeable future for its remedy. Cold weather for six month of year and at the end COVID force closure killed many of people and hospitalization was so bad. Anywhere there was no hospitalization people life were saved. There is no open market like many countries which are backed by government to buy goods in reasonable price for low income people. Very restricted laws for driver license. Life in Canada is far from normal kills you or make you disable for life without getting you paid. Now I disabled for couple of years and I'm outside of Canada and just my family saved my life because I couldn't work because of disability due to spoof call attack which cause severe peripheral neuropathy. Even there is no any protocol for this illness to get cured and forced me to see many MDs and cost me lots of money. As an immigrant from Europe (not a country with a high level of poverty or a war), I arrived here in 2016 and I can say I love Canada, a very welcoming country. While I see lots of immigrants returning to their countries or going to other places, this country is amazing, offering tons of possibilities to entrepreneurs, business people and with a wide variety of possibilities. Yes, housing is an issue but it is in many rich countries. I also see a lot of people like me, happy about what they have and what they built. I travelled the world (Australia, Europe, Middle-East, Africa and Asia) and I can guarantee, there is no perfect place. So find the place that suits you best. Do not expect perfection. It does not exist.

A rags to riches dream. For many poor people, millions are defined differently. To all the millions and billions of people who are doing well in the world, real love, peace, hope, friends, fun. We must not carry the cross of Jesus and close our eyes to the problems of commerce in our own systems. It's different with the poor, several million people who are doing well. Like me, I already want to move back. Canada was overglamorized. I think I'm just gonna finish my post grad work permit and move back home. At least there, housing is still within my reach. It's rare people doesn't own homes. You can grow food in your backyard. Can live without debt in any way if you choose as we dont rely in mortgages and credit cards or credit scores.\n\nCanada is good in pictures, but not totally in real life. And what I realized is every country has issue in corruption, government, capitalism etc. There's no perfect country, might as well, just have an almost perfect life with loved ones.

In the past 2 years - I have spent 3 months in Toronto, and last year, 3 months in Montreal...and it is like the Tale of Two Cities! In Toronto, I stayed at a friend's off the park that abuts Queens St, and Dundas St. on the far side. I barely got a good night's sleep - from the constant wailing of Sirens at ALL Hours of the night/early morning! I witnessed several incidents of random violence - including on the trolly cars, and many of them involving homeless Indigenous people ...who were historically shit-on by Canada! In comparison to US Cities - Toronto minded me of problem-plagued SF, Seattle, and Portland. The Density factor reminded me of NYC, minus the Positive Street savvy that New Yorkers have in spades! I did meet some very nice people, but overall - Torontonians were uptight, concerned about money all the time, and sometimes - just downright rude! Fast-Forward to Montreal. I stayed in Le Plateau...renting a room for 3 months. Lovely House-mates - One Turkish/Polish Woman, and an Iranian Man - both were quirky, and Delightful! My rent was very decent, and my Host showed me all the affordable places to eat, swim for free, free Yoga in the parks...within 2 days, I felt at Home! It was 3 days before I even noticed a siren! Drivers stoped for pedestrians, and as it was summer - the bike-lanes were full of bike riders! The Green Spaces were plentiful, and Parc Mount Royal is a Terrestrial Paradise! Were there some social issues? - of Course! French being the official language, the Quebecois are a VERY Proud, and defiant lot! That was difficult at first, and then...learning some history of Quebec, you begin to understand their irascible defenses! There was some homelessness (a Fraction of what I see in the US, and Toronto!), and prices are creeping-up (the common complaint!), and there was a lot of construction, and road repairs - as Quebec is NOT a wealthy part of Canada, overall. In short - I miss Montreal DEEPLY! Toronto? - I have a good friend there, and I hope to see a few of the folks I met there, Again. Travel Impressions are mainly subjective, but I know where my heart, and affection lie!

Real tragedy for this country that was once great, and I used to love so much.\nEverywhere downtown in cities feels like darkness, depressive, obscure, dingy, full of homeless and people using extremely brutal heavy drugs jus in front of everyone.\nI google earth some locations with 2019 images and compare the same places right now, it is really shocking and and big pity for the communities! No perspective of getting better with this over tolerant government.

I love Sikh community, they are loving and welcoming always, due to some phase of time some negativity came and few people created a Khalistani comunity.

As someone born and living in Canada I'd love to live in Singapore. I'd pay a premium to live in a country where the government was run by serious people and there weren't deranged homeless people everywhere, there was law and order, pro capitalist laws, etc. Housing and living expenses are awful in Canada, but I'd honestly be fine with that if I thought it was worth living here, or I saw a future in this country. I'm not criticizing you for moving to Canada though. If you like it here I think that's great.

I Love when Canadians and American are calling other people immigrants when they themselves are the also the immigrants.
