Stop the charade and just sell citizenship direct, no-ones coming because of the high standard of Canadian education

I'm Canadian who took the same decision a few years ago, I've wasted 13 years of my life in Canada, I lost my money, skills, motivations that I brought with me. I left my grown up children there because I can't sell my values to get some Canadian dollars. We went to Canada to help and to have freedom, not to be discriminated and get hired in low-level jobs. I'm happy that I left and I enjoy the sunny weather most of the year in my home country even if I have little money. It was a wrong decision to be in Canada especially after I've seen high-school graduates got hired in positions that I've Bachelor's degree can't get it. I've been graduated from a Canadian college but still can't get those jobs. It's not acceptable to be a second-degree citizen just to get a blue passport.

The housing is something the government should have seen earlier, stepped in to start creating homes itself. It is too expensive for small companies to build or they are forced to sell what they build at a small margin or lose to regular people. Most other cases they are up against giant companies like BlackRock who use houses as investment. The hands off approach of the Liberals and Conservatives has lead us to a housing shortage. We need to build housing, and it is quite apparent that private companies too small to compete or too big to bother. The government and Canadians are going to have to solve this ourselves, and build more housing.

Nowadays higher education is a scam. So many diploma mills being operated purely for business. It's like they don't have enough seats for the customers who already bought the entrance tickets and they never stop selling the tickets ???

Converting to Islam, I would suggest a critical to looking up the history of the belief, the book and finding a good historical teacher of Christianity. Canada'a economy is a complete sellout. Sell companies, infrastructure to foreign countries. Give out PR visas to pump up real estate. Give out school acceptance to international students to greedy schools. Sell every natural resource to other countries while not supplying Canada itself.

You will live well anywhere in the world if you have money or a good source of income. All the Canadian ex-pats living abroad have either money (they made here), real estate that they can sell or rent to have income from here, a Canadian pension or a willingness to live in the forest/off-grid, as many videos show. No place is affordable for the people living there, and that's why many immigrants still leave their countries and come here. For example, many Canadians move to Mexico, while many Mexicans are moving here. Canadians still have it good, believe me!! I travel and see. Yes, we have many challenges with housing and the high cost of living like BIG cities worldwide do. So, people saying they will leave Canada are still privileged people.

Maybe it is true wherever you live: the grass always seems greener somewhere else. Well, probably not greener than in the UK or Ireland where it rains a lot and it isn't possible to imagine grass any greener, but you know what I mean. \nIf you want to live in a place where housing is cheap, go to a country where the population is not mushrooming but shrinking. There are towns in Italy where the authorities are selling empty houses (which might need repair or upgrading if left unoccupied for a long time) for ONE EURO and there are places in rural Portugal where property is cheap. And of course there is Eastern Europe. And in Africa.

I couldn't agree with you more. Asking Canadian experience is a scam to deter immigrants obtaining jobs and maintain status quo where immigrants get lower wage and blue color jobs. Therefore I would research to make sure to get in to the skill trades such as IT, Healthcare, Finance such as selling real estate etc,. MBA is a general qualification and chances of entering in to higer paying jobs with an MBA is limited, where as if you're already in a managerial occupation doing MBA will help to climb the ladder. Nobody said this so I have to; Canada is a country like most western country sell hope for people; however many, not all who comes over these western country find themselves in a hard place; with broken family; broken kids, and just work, work, work, and pay pay pay... when they work all their life, and get old; most have nothing to show for; their kids are too busy for them, most end up alone in a nice place; eventually, they will realize all they have is a nice jail, and kids, and the Gov;t just wait to get all their asset when they past. Canada is selling a dream to immigrants. Almost no immigrant can afford buying a house in the city. Besides, the city is dirty and expensive; from cell phone data, through food and insurance. It's a fraud. i found toronto exciting at first ,back in early 1990s when I left the North to find mechanical work . Getting an entry level job took only 1 day. Finding a 1 bedroom apartment at $700 /mo took almost a month and that was a noisy cockroach infested highrise.\n3 different employers and skilled trades licenses later ,I was about to abandon Ontario for the oilfields in 2010 but got a job in a public utility downtown paying skilled wages , however by then , starter houses cost + 3/4 million , so I bought a reno gut out in Durham region and commute through the now horrible traffic. I'm selling high after i retire soon and taking my part pension to a lower tax jurisdiction not populated by Leftwing lunatic voters.

The biggest cause for the cost of living increase we've seen in Canada in the last decade can be largely attributed to government policy regarding immigration. Not the fault of anyone coming here. Foreign immigration agencies and the Canadian government are selling people false hopes. They are doing newcomers and Canadians a disservice. Unfortunately the government has no intention to put the brakes on the flow of new immigrants, even when there is not enough housing for everyone. You tend to get high taxes in places with free health care. Many use Canada as a bridge country to the US. In the US health care is very expensive. Many companies you would work for offer free health care plans for single individuals ( if you have a family it costs a lot ) but those plans have such high deductibles and co-pays that you can't afford to use it. Most US health care plans have very high deductibles ad co-pays making it extremely expensive. Then when you retire and start getting social security which is not much money by the way, you also get Medicare which also has a monthly charge around $150 mth. It doesn't cover everything. It does not cover dental or vision. It does not cover all your hospital stay which tends to occur as you get older. Most Americans end up having to sell their homes that they spent a lifetime paying off, to pay medical bills and end up on Medicaid which is the free last resort medical care and end up in a nursing home to end your days. Most nursing homes are bad. You end up in a 2 person room, in diapers, up for meals and back to bed, diaper changed 2 times per shift and one shower per week done by whomever in the communal shower room. Shelves until you die, which many do very quickly out of despair. After working your whole life that is the prize folks in the US.

While income disparity continues to grow and there are several domestic issues that need addressing, and the political and social climate isn't great, you still have lots of work and skills training opportunities, robust, if decaying social support structures, pretty low crime rates, decent education. You're not being incarcerated or killed for no good reason, you're not being oppressed by the government, your children don't have to work in sweatshops and parents don't have to sell their children into prostitution. You children aren't being gangpressed into being child soldiers, you aren't being shot at when you vote... social media is being weaponized by manipulative cloutchasers and foreign actors.

True & Honest. You based it in a good higher ratio of salary & still fairly calculated disaster. Imagine if an average working class making only $ 35-40k per year single person. I’m American from New Jersey my husband is from Alexandria Egypt we have a house there that his parents lived in until they passed away we use to go for 6 weeks every couple years last time we were there was about a yr before she passed now his sisters just watch over our. House I told my husband I kinda wanna sell it and buy a better one cause it hurt me when we went the last time to be in my bedroom because I knew that was my father in law’s favorite place he could go in and shut everyone out but losing his ma I don’t think I can handle going in there now

I live in NYC, and have been to Canada at least four times, but the last time I was there was quite some time ago. I always had a good thought about Canada, because it seems like some of the problems we have in this city, Canada also has in some way. Right now the city is a complete mess; at post pandemic and with a bit of a recession and a noticeable increase in groceries to basic things like cat food and tissues. That's not the biggest problem, it really is the legislation or lack of for people who not care for themselves. Those homeless people are almost not helpable and I don't feel threatened by them, but other people definitely do. The way the government has handled these undocumented migrants is a complete disaster and couldn't have come at a worse time. We have a serious housing crisis as well, and people can end up paying for high rent, for not the best places, but they want to live in a certain location. The migrants are coming in at about 60k in the last two weeks. You see mothers with little kids or babies selling candy all over the trains and it's becoming too much. Many see it as a form of child abuse or exploitation and we do not respect it at all. I think they feel we are weak and will just pay double for something we don't need. At one station today I must have be approached 3 times and interrupted 2 times while using my phone. It's just too much and we already have a lot of immigrants here, so I'm not sure where these people believe they will find any meaningful employment and the cold is coming. I wasn't born here, but came legally as an infant. I think the border situation is a disaster and it's obvious to a lot of people that the government lets things happen that will definitely effect citizens in the next couple of decades. The city is crowded enough and I do not know where this is all going, people do not want undocumented migrants house a few hundred feet from a childrens school. I just don't understand how they let this happen....I guess this is how Biden does things and all the groups that cheered buses pulling in when it first started are dwindling down....they just want them passed on to someone elses responsibility, but wouldn't want them as neighborhors necessarily. It's a lot of hypocrisy here. Canada seems better in some places, and the same in others.
