Half of Canada’s military equipment is unserviceable and not combat ready. Think about that. They are 20 billion dollars short on their military spending, are one of 8 NATO countries that have missed their required 2% GDP spending on defense, and have no plan to achieve their responsibilities to defend themselves and their alliance. What are they thinking poking the USA? That might co e back to haunt you when you need them.

Nonsense analysis! For Canada importing from the rest of the world will cost the same as tariff. So, practically, people in Canada pay the cost.

Llet's remember that the US GDP is 30.34 trillion dollars. Canada is only 2.33 trillion. Just one of the fifty States, California, has a GDP of over 4 trillion, almost twice as much as Canada. The total amount imported from Canada to the US per year is about 450 billion US dollars of goods. The US has the advantage by far in staying power here. Plus, Canada's leadership is on uncertain grounds, and Trump has a unified constituancy. He won all the swing States after all. I for one hope it all works out, but it's going to be Canada that will throw in the towel.

Canada really don't understand the equation, they stand nowhere infront of US. They should better comply with Trump to avoid more tariffs or possible sanctions. US can destroy their economy like Iran or Venezuela. Canada has no partners at the world stage, they never invested. \nIf you want to show strength, first build it. Canada is totally at the mercy of US.

Our Prime Minister can't be taken seriously ? he should leave ASAP... he's terribly weakened Canada over the past 10 years for this to happen. This is like an ant vs. an elephant and he continues to antagonize Trump.

Wow these beggers are still at it. These are the ones Canada don't want in they won't follow rules.

Americans don’t seem to understand that all the “cool things to do and see in the USA” you don’t need to actually live in the USA to enjoy those we can just get on a plane and fly to those places for vacation just like Americans do. We had our honeymoon on Oahu, stayed two weeks in a VRBO in Waianaie with all the native Hawaiians, rented a jeep, drove around, saw all the things, felt bad for all the service workers who live only on tips under labor laws that a third world dictatorship wouldn’t even subject its people to.\n\nNotice how all the things Canadians criticize America for it’s for being needlessly cruel and horrible to people when there’s the option to be compassionate and supportive and ethical?\n\nBut then every thing Americans criticize Canada for it’s for being “too compassionate”, “too supportive”, “too caring” when the option American say we should have taken instead was the the option of unnecessary cruelty?

Deport deport DEPORTreturn to Canada if that is the route came in—-
|
| 2025-01-27 | 0 |
This is a good step in the right direction. Cut down public sector spending. Since the targets for foreign students are much lower, and the anticipated immigration # should be lower in the next few years, we don't need as many immigration workers. I do hope Immigration Canada would prioritize applicants with higher education, skills that Canada need, etc.

Aren't these the conditions Pres. Trump has requested, \n1 Secure Canadian border\n2 Fentinol out of here\nOr face 25% TARRIFS \nWhy is this so hard for Canada to comply?\nInstead our premiers are running around like the sky is falling instead of fixing what's broken. Guess it's TARRIFS then.\nIs our government corrupted in making \n$$$ on insecure border and Fentinol. \nHmm

Secure the boarder. Remove ALL illegal and criminal immigrants. Over hall the immigration department. Put Canada FIRST. Fix Canada FIRST.
|

This is the question. Why haven’t they done anything in the past? They only care when it serves their best interest. Canada is no partner.

Deport Punjabis the more the better!!! They take all the jobs. Not only that deport Eritreans and other non-educated black people who do not assimilate to Canadian culture. Even Muslims too who were not vetted properly. Some are terrorists and were granted Canadian citizen. That is what a 25 percent tax mean on February 1, 2025. There worst nightmare will come true. Just like the man from Haiti who was deported immediately. He said thank you to Biden and Obama. Forget it they don't care. They just want the votes and the money! Canada will do the same!
|

Oh Canada a little to late! Terrifs are still coming! Welcome to 4 years of President TRUMP ?
|

Canada will take em.
|
| 2025-01-25 | 0 |
Nice wording. Illegal migrants actually, who took a risk crossing illegally. Many are criminals with long lists of convictions, and are mostly men. Migrants who came honestly are just fine. Honest refugees with a real case - not just people claiming refugee status for economic opportunity (which should be punishable with jail time) are just fine. Canada should do the same.

Read all these comments. Why is it the normal Canadian citizen knows what needs to be done to fix Canada’s problems, yet our politicians have no clue?

Blaming immigrants for systemic problems is often misplaced and unfair. Immigrants who work hard and contribute to society, are not the root cause of challenges such as housing shortages, healthcare pressures, or job market competition. These are complex issues stemming from broader systemic factors like government policies, urban planning, and economic strategies.\n\nImmigrants play a significant role in strengthening Canada’s economy. They fill labor shortages, contribute to innovation, and enrich cultural life. However, when governments fail to address structural issues like insufficient infrastructure or support systems, it’s easier for some people to scapegoat immigrants rather than look at deeper causes.\n\nThank God I left Canada in 2022 ... It's not the right place to settle...
