That's Great News to my ears. All Migrants should leave Our Canada. They just bring Their old life and ways with them! They're not looking for a New Life, they're trying to make Our Canada into one of their Breeding grounds using Our Tax Dollars to Take Over Our Country! My first visit to Canada (the so called Province of Quebec) was in 1972. If you've had asked me at that time where was paradise, I'd have answered to you that it was right here in Quebec and particularly in Montreal. I spent two years and went back home in 1974. I came back five years later in 1979 with the intent of staying and I did. I've spent decades of wonderful years here, and although I will leave next year, I will still remember with nostalgia the lost best decades (70s, 80s and 90s) I'd have spent in Montreal. I will remember the most beautiful city of the world and what it has become in the years 2000 amd counting. I remember how clean and well maintained that city was; how its people were among the most polite and civilized in the World; how life was so easy and affordable; how tolerant as a society the French Canadian one was and so on. Today, all that is gone, and when I take a look at the pile of trashes and garbages on the Ste-Catherine street and Saint Laurent Boulevard, it makes feel sick. In fact, Montreal has become a huge Third World city, and it is not better on a social point of view : you can't walk one block or two without being dragged by a homosexual or a lesbian. Speaking of lesbian and homosexual, you can't keep your work if you don't support the LGBT and or willing to date your boss. I am leaving next year to go back to my country where there is still a seemingly willingness to normalcy, but since the LGBT has managed to sneak its power everywhere, I am not holding my breath of a bright future overthere, but it's my home and I prefer to be there and deal with it.

Canada is taxing people to death and sending all the money to wars.this country is indoctrinating children, and denying parents of their legal rigjts on their own children.\nCanada has mistreated its own people during the truckers' movement.\nCanada has recently passed draconian laws especially on the freedom of speech. \nThis country is taking away people's freedom while making them live under terrible conditions. I know a lot from working all over canada and they come for the free money and health care and school, as soon at they are legal canadians every single one I know/knew left because they don't want to pay the high tax and cost of living, 1 guy I was friends with for a year showed me what he got to come here and it was = to 10 years pay for me at that time. Then he sold the house and cars and left after his temp visa expired, I know of people in AB and on the east coast working here and living 5 and 6 guys in a 3 bedroom and they send every cent back to their own country so they can buy land and housing, For them it's a great get rich quick plan, The one guy I knew for a year offered to pay to have my car fixed and I said no but he insisted it was free on his free tax payer supplied credit cards, If I was not from here and they offered me all this money and stuff Id be here doing the same thing, 5 years here makes you rich when you go home. 2 bedroom condo in Mexico is $85g so if I offered you a good job that will get you a house paid off and lifetime of saving in just 5 years but you have to live in another country would you do it. 100% I would Im looking at my adult kids who will never own a home if they stay here vs the people coming over for 5 years then their set, All my kids are planning to move to a new country for this very reason they are saving and then getting out when the depression hits.

Truth is that the immigration system has been a source of income and financial gain for the system but gives little back. Sadly many Canadians think the opposite is true. They think because refugees are given shelter while waiting for processing that means they receive support more than the locals. Truth is immigrants come here mostly on loans, spend years working and spending to support families back home, it takes years to understand the taxing, credit, wealth, education and many other resources that drives the Canadian community. This put immigrants in a position where they work more than the local just to meet the bare minimum life standards. If many of the immigrants knew the ins and outs of the system, then they would really take over and appreciate being in canada. \n\nCanadians and canada as a whole are welcoming. You might meet a few who have little knowledge of the global system and standard against immigrants, something that their countries economic system depends on. Remember your countries have never lived without immigration. From the day the first white personal stepped onto this lane, immigrants have continued to come in more different colours. It’s our duty to focus on making life better not on how we can make life harder for others. Wanting to live in canada with your own specific community and wanting others to stay away from a land that has been shared for decades is just a selfish stand. We all love canada because we all find peace here.

Canada is in a catch 22 situation: We need to reduce immigration to restore the trust needed to build prosperity (the research on this is absolutely clear - see Putnam, et al, for example.), and we need to maintain it to make up for labor shortages. The fact is, polls show that trust is at an all-time low between Canadians, and it is due to bringing in too many people who are self-segregating and not assimilating. We pumped massive excess cash into our economy during COVID, did not produce enough housing, introduced laws that severely constrained agriculture and dramatically increased the costs of food distribution, and brought in massive numbers of immigrants, among other things. The fact is, we have crushed the birth rate, made homes too expensive, and raised the cost of living to a point where people are desperate, and our school system has destroyed the enterprising spirit that built our economy in the first place.

It’s been 5 years for me here and I honestly can say I have achieved nothing in my life yet. It scares me when I think I can’t return whatever my parents had invested in me. The fact is you’ll never have a good paying job in Canada being an immigrant. When I say this trust me I mean it. Most you’ll get is a minimum wage job which can make you survive the life here. Taxes are high definitely and what I feel is you’re working to make someone else’s life easier. \n(P.S: people who’ve stayed in Canada will understand who I’m implying to)\nNo one wants to be your freind, scope of socializing is zero coz mostly it’s cold round the year so everyone hardly come out, especially in Northern provinces like Yukon, Saskatchewan, Manitoba.\nHealthcare is a joke. If you feel sick and not well and you wanna see a doctor be prepared to wait for hours and hours. I once had stomach infection and I had to wait 5 hours till someone could see me. I asked for painkiller at-least so I could bear the pain but they refused that as well. You might well see someone you love dearly and with whole heart die in-front of you and you could do nothing. (I’ve experienced it myself hence saying)\nYou’re a lone survivor who’ll always keep fighting. \nThe only person who can make money here is businesses and high paid jobs which are reserved to Canadians. That’s how Canada’s job market is. Canadians’ first and if there’s something left they’ll look at you. By the amount of money people invest here they can establish a nice business back in their country itself and earn accordingly on own terms. \nMost importantly you’ll cut yourself from all emotional supports like family, freinds etc.\nI was social person back in India who liked making new freinds and memories but it’s nothing like that here. \nAnd it’s the same life, no different.\nYou wake up, dress, eat, go to work, come back, eat, sleep. No different.\nNo fun and nothing. You actually don’t live in present, you live in an expectation of a better tommorow.\nYou’ll always have a smile when you greet someone but I guarantee you no one’s gonna check on you to if you don’t start a conversation even with a simple “Hi”. Mostly Canadians are nice but again some will systematically judge you and say nothing but you’ll see in their actions, the way they’ll talk in a twisted way etc.\nYes I’m not saying that Canada’s bad or it’s no good but trust me it will take forever to build a life here especially with the number of people moving here from round the world. \nIf you’re well off financially from back home Canada’s a paradise for you. Indeed it’s a beautiful country with lots of beauty and lots to explore but remember everything comes with a cost here. Everything comes with a cost. People need to stop believing in this fake illusion and come only if they got a purpose here. The only reason why they’ll let you in the country is for money and once you’re in you’ll have to keep spending, doesn’t matter if you’re broke or whatever you have to.\nOnce I earn I’ll happily give up my PR status and go back to India as i very well know what the situation is how it’s gonna be in future.\nSo just one piece of advise to every middle class person like me, guys please invest and spend your money wisely coz we know how hard it is to earn and it’s high time Canadians start appreciating what immigrants like us do for them by burning ourselves day and night and start realizing that their past generation once came from some other part of the world as well and settled here. I'm leaving next year as well. I've been in Canada for 5 years now and I love Canada.\nBut practically i don't think i can ever buy a house here and start a family. I'm 24 and i came here when i was 19. But looking at the way things are changing in Canada, the amount of tax burden it puts on honest tax payers because of illetrate immigrants from some parts of the world, refugees and people who don't wanna work is astonishing.\n\nMoreover Trudeau keeps giving away the money which is ours and keeps feeding others. Hence I've had enough. Canadians are nice but the government and some sections of society especially some Punjabi's are way too much for me to handle now. Canada isn't Canada anymore. As an immigrant, Canada is only be treated as bypass country. It doesn’t worth to settle in Canada in overpriced housing market and live house-poor. Rather, get Canadian Citizenship and move to USA on TN visa. Canada as bypass country makes more sense.

Why doesn’t the Canadian government focus on its own citizens to grow the population and economy if that is their major goal. Why not make it more affordable for young Canadians to start a family? We spend $6B a year on bringing in immigrants, why not increase the child benefit with these funds? Why not teach good family values in Canadian schools and promote healthy relationships? Instead our government lets in young adults who aren’t vetted and want to work in retail/tech and bring their parents their grandparents their uncles and aunts over from their home country who then live off of CPP after not paying one penny into it. (This is what I have seen in my town, may not be representative of all of Canada)

I know plenty of Indians overjoyed to come here and make minimum wage. I know many born-and-raised Canadians looking to go abroad. Every single person from my generation that I know who was born in Canada is poorer than their parents were. They had homes and families, we pay half our income to rent a shared apartment. Everything is broken.

If immigrants come here because they want a better life I fully support their goals. If they come here expecting Canadfa to provide them a better life, they should stay home. We as Canadians born and raised are not given anything .We work for what we get. If an immigrant expects to be provided a job upon arrival that is not realistic. Buying a house takes the average Canadian years of working and saving to afford it. What makes it any different for an immigrant to Canada?

I hate to tell you this but Canadians have always moved around to other countries for opportunities. Given the number of Canadians living in Los Angeles makes it Canada’s 4th largest city. Quebecers flocked to New England ages ago. The is quite long if you read a bit of history. Ever heard of Max Aitken? Better known as Lord Beaverbrook. There’s just more people here now so more move around or push off. If you’re looking to move, maybe New Zealand is a refuge in this crazy world we live in. Canada is quickly turning into a 3rd world country because that’s where the majority of them came from, as refugees NOT IMMIGRANTS. Canada is no longer screening for EDUCATED, PROFESSIONAL people who can contribute to Canadian society. Canada has made it so difficult for those who are educated and are professionals to receive accreditation to contribute to Canadian society. Canada no longer ensures there is a Canadian sponsor who pays for the immigrant, to ensure that the immigrant is not a burden on society. When teachers can not make change while volunteering at a food stand for a local craft show, this explains that our education system is junk. Our health care system is run like a well oiled corporation where money stops at the top/administration and never finds it’s way to those who need health care. I was the first generation of latch key kids to go to school with Italian, Croatians, Serbians, Armenians, Jews, Palestinians, Asians and we never saw our classrooms full of sanctioned hate. We never saw the neighbourhoods of any of these ethnicities look like open toilets. There was no gang violence amongst these ethnicities. They had their own community centres, churches, synagogues and anyone was welcome. They were active in the community, they were fantastic neighbours. Decades later we have “no go zones” in our cities and rural communities because of the danger of some ethnicities. Churches and synagogues are locked. Their community centres are locked and monitored for entry. We have lost our way. We have allowed chaos agents into our country and we are paying the price and will continue to do so.

Are there different degrees of fairness in Canada and in the province of British Columbia?-Well, isn’t fairness or being fair referred to Justice, and if so, does this mean that the Canadian legal system does not respect individual rights of all people equally?-And, if Canadian legal system does not respect individual rights of all people equally, isn’t this a violation of section 15 (1) of Constitution Act, 1982 that guarantees, “ Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination and, in particular, without discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability”? \n Also, according to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (S.C. 2001, c. 27) \n3 (1) The objectives of this Act with respect to immigration are \n(e) to promote the successful integration of permanent residents into Canada, while recognizing that integration involves mutual obligations for new immigrants and Canadian society; \n(j) to work in cooperation with the provinces to secure better recognition of the foreign credentials of permanent residents and their more rapid integration into society. \n Consequently, if it is stated on the Website of the Government of British Columbia, “The B.C. government is making credential recognition for internationally trained professionals more transparent, efficient and fair.”, does this mean that the Government of British Columbia has been treating immigrants for more than 20 years in contradiction to s. 3 (1) (e)and (j) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, and, if so, why? \n Also, if, the Government of British Columbia has been treating immigrants in contradiction to 3 (1) (e)and (j) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and in contradiction to section 15 (1) of Constitution Act, 1982, what about access of immigrants to the Court of Justice under section 24 (1) of Constitution Act, 1982 that guaranties, “Anyone whose rights or freedoms, as guaranteed by this Charter, have been infringed or denied may apply to a court of competent jurisdiction to obtain such remedy as the court considers appropriate and just in the circumstances.”? The question is whether there is access to justice for immigrants or for all people in Canada and in the province of British Columbia under section 24 (1) of Constitution Act, 1982 or not?

So we don't have the financial resources to support them, we have no housing for them and likely won't for the next 100 years based on our current building rate and we don't have jobs that pay enough to afford the exorbitant rents. So it's better for everyone if they go somewhere else where they can live peacefully. We have made Canada an immigration unfriendly country and conservative governments continue to make sure that that stance is maintained by not building affordable housing or investing in supports for citizens and only giving money to close political corporate allies. Most Canadians don't want immigrants here at all if they don't have jobs and can't afford to live without burdening the social system.

Instead of taking care of born and raised Canadians they want to take care of new comers. If they just dropped the crazy high tax rate all across the board and made it easy to start business here maybe Canadians would start having children if they seen a future. But no lets just make immigrant's work for nothing and hope they don't leave. We don't get paid enough in Canada that is why educated and talented born and raised Canadians leave this waste land. We could go across the boarder and make double and be able to afford a home in our prime working years. Why would I buy a home and pay it off in 30-40 years when I could pay it off in 10 years and have my wages go into living life and investments. Canada is done They stole the future of millennials and Gen-Z here don't fight just leave. It will be 30 years to recover from this time we don't have and our kids don't either.

High numbers of Canadians are also fleeing immigrant centres in Canada for more affordable housing, lower congestion, crime and declining quality of life. It seems our developer / speculator focused immigration policy can't make anyone happy except developers and speculators. And bought politicians and journalists.

The immigration Ponzi scheme lures migrants to Canada without enough affordable housing to accommodate them. This drives up housing costs for Canadians already here. At the same time, the flood of cheap labour reduces wages making housing even more unaffordable. Moreover, a flood of cheap labour hampers the transition to higher value added businesses by encouraging lower value businesses, thus further limiting income growth. Productivity growth is the an essential way forward to affordable housing. The answer is to stem the flood of migrants until rising wages meets lower housing costs. Also, Canada needs to lower its overall population if it is serious limiting its carbon footprint in this cold climate with long distances between cities. Higher productivity with higher wages meets lower housing demand caused by limiting immigration!

I had exactly the same experiences in 2002 when I went(and came back) on PR to Canada. Getting into a proper paying job in your own profession is the most herculean task in itself. The necessity of a car due to extreme harsh weather most of the months and then initially affording only a basement with mostly indoor activities during non-summer months takes a huge toll on one’s mental well being. Most of the jobs are regulated in Canada so getting an equivalent clearance and compatibility for a job is no easy task at all otherwise you’ll end up doing only sundry manual help jobs around which too aren’t available easily. I found a lot of positivities and possibilities too in Canadian life but then be prepared to sacrifice a lot for many years and then maybe you realise you have a lot more to loose than gain! So as this blogger said Go to Canada first on say a tourist visa to friends or family, stay and spend some time and money too and then make a long term decision to come and stay forever or not. But in the meantime don’t quit your job or business back in India till you come to a final outcome?

Filming in Public is a Crime especially when you film the police and show their tyrannical behavior. They will come for you and hunt you down and charge you and make up all kinds of lies try to financially destroy you throw you in jail. The list goes on there’s people that are called Auditors they go out and film these people to show transparency. Every last auditor in Canada has been charged and arrested and lied in financially despaired the list goes on just go ask the rise in the falls. While I agree as a Canadian of settler origin, it's expensive to live pretty much anywhere comparable in the world now...As for the U.S., you might make a lot more money but they have an at-will employment system where they can fire you for any reason or no reason at all (we have much stronger labour laws) and there's no federal paid maternity leave in America whereas here women have a year paid maternity leave and a daycare subsidy now, so for me, the social benefits outweigh what the U.S. offers. Thank you for sharing your perspective; it's interesting to listen to the reasons why some people leave Canada.

the country with the most of opportunity is the US ! No wonder the US has millions of millionaires than any country in the world. Even Canadians like Alex Trebek or Justin Bieber made it big in the US, not Canada…. In fact, Canada benefits from the US economy big time. And yet, Canadian economy is way behind the US…. just look how bad the Canadian dollar fares against the USD, making Canada in my opinion a cheaper country to live in. Reason why these women say Americans move there. When in fact, 400,000 Canadians flock to the US and live half the year here, not in Canada ! Canada has also less attractions to visit while the US has everything! from deserts, rainforests, canyons, beaches in 50 + National Parks, hundreds of National Monuments & thousands of beautiful State Parks. Why do I know ? I traveled all of the US….so beautiful….. i hope Canada can boast a paradise like Hawaii, Guam USVI, Puerto Rico to name a few. I had been to 85 countries, covered as much in each country. I can say the USA is the most beautiful in the world. Canada is no comparison. No way im moving to Canada…. i have the best weather year round here in California….

While it might be costly in larger cities, Indian students often share apartments to split the rent. In smaller towns like Kalamazoo, MI, the cost of living can be very affordable. Additionally, you'll likely find Indian employers who can provide you with cash jobs.\nWho am I? I'm someone who immigrated to Canada 22 years ago with a master's degree from a prestigious institute and a B.Ed. certification. I'm a certified teacher in Los Angeles and Ontario, Canada, but I never managed to secure a proper job in Canada. Later on, I earned a Master's degree in statistics from McMaster University, but I still couldn't find a suitable job, not even a laborer's job at that time.\nToday, you might be able to find a laborer's job, but you'd likely be stuck in such roles for the entirety of your working life, struggling to make a decent living. That's the reality of Canada. Moreover, don't assume that you can easily move from Canada to the USA; it's quite challenging to do so. Instead, consider the option of moving directly from India to the USA, which is a much more feasible path.\nMy sincere request is this: If you wish to pursue your dreams, seriously consider the USA. Canada is objectively better in terms of legal employment protections, unemployment insurance and healthcare, even though it's second-rate when you take into account waiting times etc. Our public education system is hands down better, even with it's woke issues. If you have never been to, or lived in Canada, you have no right making this video. You're comparing apples with.....nothing.\n\nHaving said that, us Canadians are a smug, asshole bunch of people who sneer down their noses at the US, while having no leg to stand on when it comes to guaranteed freedoms, gun ownership, and generally stupid voting habits that vote for some useless asshole because of his surname and the fact that he 'has nice hair'. I would leave Canada if I had the money. It was a great place to live until the 2000's came around, then everyone flushed their brains down the toilet.

My husband and I lived in Columbus, Ohio for 12 years. During that time we had two babies, but we had insurance so the price tag wasn't too bad, overall. We made good friends there, all different political views but we got along well and it was great. We lived in Ohio both pre and post 9-11. I definitely noticed a difference in the growing patriotism around us. Even pre-9-11 there was a higher level of overt patriotism than I was used to in Canada. For instance, more people had flags in their yards or America-themed bumper stickers than I was used to in Canada. But post 9-11 patriotism grew immensely, and we started to feel like political views were starting to have an effect on friendships. Also, Ohio passed a conceal carry law (firearms), and I found my awareness that anyone around me might have a concealed weapon unsettling. In Canada the only guns anyone I knew owned were hunting rifles, locked up. But suddenly I had to worry about if there were guns in the houses that my children were visiting. As a Canadian, I just wasn't used to the idea of everyone having guns around. Anyway, we overall enjoyed living in Ohio. The cost of living there was reasonable, the people were friendly, and we only moved when the real estate bubble burst and my husband lost his job. We went back to Canada and, honestly, I've been relieved to be back as I watch the news and see how divided the American people have become. Even some of the friends that I had in Ohio have changed and become a lot less accepting of different opinions. It makes me scared for the future of the US, and the effect it all will have on the rest of the world.

I am Canadian, my husband is American. I moved to the USA 11 years ago. I live in a liberal state (by American standards) with little violence (by American standards). I like where we live and enjoy most of the people that I interact with. I would move back to Canada in a heartbeat. I must confess that I felt like I stepped back in time 20 years when I moved here - labor standards in the US are so behind the rest of the world (maternity leave, paid time off, job protections, etc). To a Canadian, US culture feels accepting of racism, violence, us vs them mentalities, gun culture, religious and political fanaticism. I still can’t get over how “normal” Americans think their healthcare system is…. most other countries think it is absolutely nuts! I have good insurance, but if I ever develop a serious illness….I will move back to Canada where I can attempt to keep my health AND still have a house to live in. On the surface, Americans and Canadians look alike - but I still feel the cultural differences every day. I’m sure that America feels safe and wonderful to Americans who grew up here - but it can be difficult for people who grew up with different values to agree that these things make America “great”.

I have a good friend who spent a good many years living and working in the US. He summed it up as being very similar in many ways, with some frustrating drawbacks, but overall it was far better in many ways. Don't beat yourself up. We might have a few things going for us, but those who have the will and determination to pull their weight have a far better shot in the US. \n\nRemember that. Americans get out of America what they put into it. Canadians get what they get out of Canada no matter what. If you like the feeling of the reward of hard work and perseverance, you're only limited in America by your own ambition. If you like the comfort and safety of a network of social systems, then Canada is the place to be. On the flip side, if you want to have the peace of mind that the government will take care of you if you can't take care of yourself, then don't go to the US. If you're ambitious and creative and want to work hard at making something of yourself, Canada will crush your hopes and dreams like a bug.

Both Canada and America have huge problems right now. As a 73yo Canadian I have NEVER seen so much hate for our Government. Everyone has the exact same complaints, like it was scripted. Our press is constantly stirring the pot and it makes unsatisfied Canadians more angry every day. The negative press pounding on our PM never ends. There are YouTube channels that take every little Canadian fault and make it into the crime of the century. Worse, they make money doing it.\n \nCanadians have been spoiled with our social services and lack of crime, and our beautiful country etc. I'm so tired of the complaining and whining that makes my life more miserable than the cost of living does. Canadians have been spoiled rotten, and now that the candy is less sweet, more expensive and less plentiful, Canadians whine and complain like spoiled children. \nMost countries in the world have the exact same problems and Canadians seem to think our problems are unique and directly connected to our Government only.\n\nAll said and done, I would still rather live in Canada with all of our faults, miserable people, and the haters. That person who says they're an ethnic minority, They clearly aren't an actual Canadian, sounds like an immigrant who just bounces around places. They probably had to pay out of pocket in Canada due to whatever program they were using to work here. As for making more in the USA, i'm unsure what the ratio is, but obviously lots of immigrants come to the USA, like Canada, where they just get free housing, a free job, free education then they leave the country after getting all the free treatment.

A lot of Canadians who do move to the US, do so for career development and advancement. My cousin moved to the US and works in IT. He makes like, 5x what he could staying in Canada. He, with his family, is staying and never plans to come back.\nAdditionally, I think the thing that Canadians appreciate about our health care is that we don't have to think abut it. We don't have to assume that giving birth or going to the doctor will cost and that the cost may have some variability. It jut makes it way less stressful, as health scares are stressful enough as they are. But it is true that availability is an issue. I'd say our quality of care isn't too far behind, but I'm not particularly knowledgeable on that.

Its really bad in Canada right now. I can't visit any Gurudwara because all have turned into Khalistani haven. If you speak in favor of Bharat, they target you and even beat you up. Health care is very bad. I had severe tooth pain but did not get any support . I was asked to come after 4 months. I came back to India for a holiday and I can't convince myself to go back. Khalistanis are making it hell and even threatening Hindus. Govt is supporting them so there is no hope for future. Except for some big Canadian Universities, most are scam and are targeting Indian students. They know Indians want to migrate there. I have seen students waste their money at these crappy Universities, after which they did not get any job and ended up coming back to India. Think and Research a million times before you decide to go to Canada. India is much better than Canada and most probably I will move back. I will have to go back once to pack up everything but I am leaning towards living in India. I might look for jobs in USA and UK but I am done for Canada. It is too much hype

I live in Montreal Canada and as a refugee from Rwanda I have no other options but to stay. \nFor those who are from peaceful countries in Africa and well educated who make at least equivalent of $2000 in Africa, please do not come here.\nFor example: it's not easy to buy a house if you're single, you need to be married to be able to afford a house. Let alone buying a house, renting isn't also easy, the cheapest now for families is $1000.\nLet's say you make $20 per hour, this salary will never get you anywhere unless you're married or have other sources of income. You need a second job and the more you earn the more you're taxed.\nEven those high skilled people can only live comfortably only as working couple because as a single high skilled person even if you make more than $100k a year for you to live a good life here isn't easy. Yes of course, it's still better than the most african countries, but for those doing well in Africa already don't come here, come when you're hardly earning a living in Africa. \nNB: People who make $100k in Canada are less than 11% of the whole population. That's 4257000 million out of 38.7 canadians. The rest are considered low income generating workers who hardly afford things.

I am a South Sudanese Canadian who pretty much grew up in Kenya before travelling abroad. Life in Canada is not easy.. especially after Trudeau came to power.\nI make pretty good income in IT, but i pay like 30% in taxes...30% of my money is gone. I dont see it. I know others who pay more than me in taxes. The grocery is also high, as are the other bills. Rent is really high. In my city, an average house costs 800k. Even my cousins in the US are shocked at the prices of homes in Canada. My rent is much higher than the mortgages being paid by my cousins in the US. In places like Toronto or Vancouver, it is worse.\n\nI went back to Africa last time and saw so many opportunities, that i made my decision yo transition slowly back home. \n\nThe problem i find with most Africans is thinking of finding jobs in the government or private sector. If you are a Kenyan, or Ethiopian or South Sudanese, etc, think of creating jobs instead.\n\nThe opportunities for entrepreneurship in Africa are endless because alot of the problems in society have not yet been resolved. You dont have to have alot of capital to start farming for example. So many Africans have access to free ancestral lands that they can farm and make money from. But many want to spend time in the cities instead. A change of mindset is needed.

My nana is from the UK originally and she has been living in Canada for 40+ years now and still has not become a Canadian citizen, not because she couldn't but because she never had to. She gave birth to my mom in Canada making my mom Canadian. I was born in the United States but since my mom was a Canadian citizen I was also a Canadian citizen. A lot of people like to bring up the housing crisis as a potential downside to having a bunch of immigrants but that just isn't the case. We have one of the lowest population densities of all of the countries in the world, and yet we all choose to live in high concentration areas and those that own the land in and around those concentrated areas know they can charge whatever they want because if you're not near the main 1-3 cities in your province it drastically cuts down on your land's value as far as housing goes so there is no incentive for anyone to build housing out there. Build more houses, we have the space. Figger it out.
