Canada is right, thesw students r burden on there economy, they cant pay taxes there, they want to settle illegally

They even get cash and don’t pay tax to the Canadian government

It is mostly the fault of the incompliant and corrupt Liberal government for the massive influx of unskilled India workers/students. Under previous sane governments, there were manageable caps that controlled the influx and allowed for proper immigration of vetted and skilled workers, but the Liberals stopped properly vetting people and basically opened the flood gates. For a Canadian company to hire foreign workers, they used to have to prove there were no Canadian workers to do that job, so foreign workers were mostly used in seasonal agriculture work, but due to very shady government deals with big corporations Trudeau approved paying wage subsidy and turning a blind eye to Canadian workers so Singh Hortons (and many other big businesses) could have workers for a cut rate and the government tax dollars paid up to 70% of wages and welfare. Also Foreign workers think they can stay here once their visa's expire, refusing to leave. There is simply no need for Canada to bring in over a million Indians that are in hard times in their own country. Our welfare or culture can't stand it. Not sure if you missed it or not, but India's foreign minister at the start of summer, thanked Trudeau for taking all their criminals, and low caste people. But People need to follow proper immigration policy, and not buy a ticket to Canada from a India scammer guaranteeing citizenship, which has been the case as well. Getting immigration back to sensible levels of skilled workers in the next step, and not just massive amounts of one culture. Diversifying the diversity. I personally used to love indians. Especially punjabis. the 70,000 students were coming in illegally i believe, 70k out of 1million+ that have come per year isn't so bad. I blame this whole situation 100% on the government and it totally does suck that these 70k people coming in are going to be deported but again there were and are so much scams that have been going on. If they lied and cheated on the system i don't think we should feel bad. Canada used to have higher standards. My family obviously are immigrant too but there has been no background checks, no proper procedure in the last few years and 2 races have been getting preferential treatment. Most if not all people that come in from Africa are left on the streets while the your country men, indian, and white looking are given a free house, food budget, and dont have to work.. We paying more for taxes and the government has increased work force by 40% yet wait time for services has trippled 3X, make it make sense.

During Covid they were saying there is a labour shortage no there was not the business owners didn’t want to pay workers MORE money matching inflation thats way the business owners were hiring international students so they will just pay them less money . Start paying people what they really should be getting . Business made lots of money during the pandemic and yet they have no money to pay there workers . The amount of things cost in canada minimum wage should be more hire. Minimum wage should be 25$ a hr You know the taxes will eat up most of that money anyways

Colleges in Canada ?? have been creating stupid courses marketed to other countries whose sole purpose is to create an avenue for international students to come to Canada, who then, soend some time at svhool but essentially fill up affordable housing and all of the low skilled jobs. This isnt about racism, its about doubled rents and no jobs for tax paying Canadians.

How can it be. 2% Middle class tax payers have to lift the burden of the whole nation. Direct tax, GST, Service Tax, Tax in Insurance, Investment. Sab kuch meh tax. @DW News. I am A Doctor from India living in Germany since 7 years. Still i face alot of discrimination, although i speak C1 level of German. I faced descrimination for school admission of my Child. Beurocracy is so bad that i am thinking also to move to other country. Even after paying a Tax more than 2000€ a Month i feel i am not wellcome here, that i can feel from the behavior and read from the face of the people.

I’ll tell you this right now we are not rich. Whoever thinks Canada is rich doesn’t know reality of it. Most of the people in the country are broke or going broke. The infrastructure of all kind is no longer able to keep up with the demand and population. We are also paying huge amount of taxes like we are taxed on everything. It ain’t sunshine and rainbows it seems like in India.

Universities and Colleges should be mandated to pay the local City a surcharge of $1500-$2500/yr per Foreign student to local City to pay fair share of costs of public infrastructure. Local citizens pay property tax to fund infrastructure, Universities and Colleges (Conestoga the worst offender) need to pay up.

I have done part of my education in Germany with very nice professors. I improved my German language skills to C1 level and still keep learning it. I have been working in some of the most well-known German companies some of which used to be part of Fortune 500. I am very grateful for the opportunity that I was given both at university and work places and the support I got from some of my good managers at the beginnning of my career. However, I should say on a daily basis you will face racist comments and discrimination. Despite high tax that I am paying and doing my best to be useful for the society, at work place you hear a lot of racist comments. When you go out, you can see you are not welcome in the society, and that is not only my problem. At both university and work, international people are together and Germans are within themselves, and you are not welcome being there. Here in Germany this phenomenon is called Parallelgeselschaften or parallel societies. Yes, you see people from all around the world, but it doesn't mean you are in an international place, all the expats are within themselves. The society is not open to accept them. As a specialist, you can be much happier living in an English-speaking country which is tolerant and allows you to be part of the society. I should say however, I have had also nice German colleagues who were really open-minded and truely have an international mindset and separate themselves from the historic racist mindset. Putting this comment here, I am ready for racist comments coming towards me. Go ahead.

Our Canadian born kids are unable to find jobs because of these Indian international students. Time to send them back when their study finished. Canadians who pay taxes need jobs for themselves and for their kids. Enough is enough.

Present Canadian govt is dependent on DNP of Jagmeet Singh (Khalistani supporter). He can make Trudeau dance to his tune. Canadians of Indian origin mostly from Punjab are Khalistani sympathizers and they have fomented enough trouble locally in Canada and are primarily responsible for the poor relations between India and Canada. \n\nSecondly Indian emigration is of highly skilled work force consisting of doctors, scientists, financial experts, bankers, professors, businessman, politicians, and logistics business experts etc. They contribute to the treasury by paying the highest taxes than any other immigrant including european settlers. By and large Indians are peace loving people and excel in their fields. Now Indian origin people are into politics and Canada has a few MPs of Indian origin serving as ministers of defense, foreign affairs etc. \n\nThis xenophobia has to stop. Every wave of immigrants to the new continents have faced these problems be it Irish, Italian, Spanish, Dutch or East European immigrants. The process of assimilation takes a long time and in the meantime there would be some hiccups to which the society will eventually adapt. Every new immigrant group faces hostility from the earlier settled immigrants. It's much harder if the new immigrants don't look like the earlier settled immigrants. This is natural !!!.

It not anti indian policy.. international student are not all indian .. there is other country citizen that are also not allow to get work permit as well . let not play the race card now.. indian act like you are alway are special.. when apply for your student visa there were term and condition.. and one of the term is that once your visa expires you must LEAVE the county. You guys are not entile to any rights because you guys are a guest in the country... if you want fair treatment maybe stay in your country and study there because your a indian citizen ... nobody care about how much money you lost .. it was a gamble and you knew the risk and once your visa expiry you must leave.. there is no where in your student visa that states that you will automatic PR once you finish.. also the government of canada has the interst of the canadian citizen FIRST because we been paying tax our whole lives here while you guys only be paying for a year or two and you think u shoukd have all benefit that canadian is entiled too. The caregiver program should go through reform. With the current immigration law with giving the caregivers Permanent Residency putting a lot of pressure on the employers who are working hard and paying taxes to bring the caregivers in Canada. The caregivers are taking advantages by exercising their rights as soon as they lands in Canada. Where is the protection for the employers who are working round the clock to bring the caregivers but the caregivers are abusing the systems and goodwills of the employers. The caregiver program should be like it was before when the caregivers needed to work here for 10 years to get the permanent residency. Otherwise it is becoming difficult for the employers to retain the newly hired caregivers under the new program as the caregivers are getting PR as soon as they lands. Employers need protection. Employers brings caregivers from foreign lands and as soon as they arrive the caregivers can quit and change employer and start exercising their rights as PR - it has to stop to protect the employer because of the employers hard earned money and goodwill they can land here, employers should not suffer for their goodwill and needs.\nWe Canadian employers need workers not the abusers. The foreign workers need to contribute to get the permanent residency - so should do the caregivers not rewarding them PR as soon as they land!rewarding caregivers with PR at their landing leaves the hard working employers vulnerable.

Get the right people for the right jobs, if you MUST bring in immigrants!\nThere are plenty of Canadian people who can do low wage jobs. Besides, low wage jobs are a good opportunity for youngsters to learn good skills while earning some money on the side to save for college. They are NOT, and I repeat, NOT for immigrants who have other skills to bring to the Canadian market.\n\nThe IT sector needs a serious overhaul. You need people to fill up roles in corporate jobs to boost production, because Canada is seriously behind in technology. Healthcare needs serious people too. There is no point in bringing promising doctors and healthcare practitioners who can improve healthcare services and the number of capable doctors here, but have them working low wage jobs instead to make ends meet. That is unfair to those people and unfair to Canadians who need good medical services in lieu of the taxes that they pay. Canadian Experience is a joke and a very cheap trick played by the incumbent government to swindle good, deserving people of their hard-earned money.\n\nEnough of bringing in refugees into Canada and destroying the economy by giving them handfuls of money paid by Canadians themselves. I live in Canada. Every country has its own problems i believe.\nBut what i have seen here is the taxes we pay gets paid back in terms of continuously improving infrastructure, free healthcare and free education. You dont need to bribe to get any govt related work done. \nWhile i was paying ~33% tax in India and was getting nothing back from govt in return. Salaried class people are most exploited in India in terms of taxes while business class ppl enjoy by getting rid of taxes.

Yep, leaving in a few months as well. This country is so in a wrong path and I get it, cost of living is rising everywhere but Canada seems to be bad in all sectors of life, not just for being expensive….what is the point of paying for a place to live pretty much as an animal for 70% of your salary and then go downtown and look around homeless and drug addicts everywhere to interacting superficially with cold people in a weather that’s freezing for more than half a year to never being able to fly anywhere as ticket for a three hour flight costs $1000…..oh and endure all of this for a $40k/annually salary after tax if you’re lucky. Not your first world category type of country but be advertised for what it really is….a 3rd world.

Well there is no perfect country. One thing which Canada has and India do not is Respect for working people. People working as Labor, Carpentor, Cleaner or Guard has respect but in India even you work as a Professor in private college you will wait many places more than three months for your salary. Second here people pay taxes and gets benefit too from Government. In India middle class job is pay tax and forget.

I am living in Canada right now and I agree with all the points mentioned however,\n1. As a lady I feel safe, no one judge me for my clothes, no one stare me disgustingly and no one consider I am his private property to assault.\n2. I feel safe when my kid goes outside to play. People here follows laws strictly. Vehicle stops even at signal allows them to proceed, always I repeat always driver signals me to proceed.\n3. I feel happy that my husband is valued in his office and much appreciated. His seniors credit him for his hard work and everyone here encourage us to have proper work life balance.\n4 I agree we pay high tax but atleast we are getting benefits in return. Public libraries, transport system are top notches. \n5. Banking, health care, all government facilities are very systematic. We were not even aware we have completed 18 months in Canada and we received letter from government stating very soon my son's child benefit will start. We didn't even enquired about it. They processed it automatically as per our arrival date.\n6. And lastly, we celebrated Independence Day here in Calgary, it was great event and all officers were protecting us. I clearly remember while dancing , huge Indian flag dropped down by a toddler and one Chinese officer,he picked it up and gave it to nearby adult.\n\nLife is valued, humans are respected,laws are followed here so I don't regret my decision of migrating but yes, honestly I do miss India as well and I am proud I am an Indian.

My kids might pay 1/5 of what international students pay…it’s because I have worked 24 years in this country….I’m in the 40% tax bracket…do the maths . We pay thru taxes.

Most Indian students, speak English, are educated, work, pay taxes and are usually friendly. On the other hand our politicians have no problem importing people to put on welfare that hate us. All. Just for the Muslim votes

We have to make the workers themselves + help from adjacent cultural groups like parts of Canada and the US, South and Latin America as well as Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand or Vietnam. \n\nBut for that to work, incentives must be given.\nIncentives only available if drastic change is applied to our education and healthcare system in general. \n\n-75% workers with only 15% academics and 10% margin for failure. \n-reduction of all university courses by half and students by 2/3rds in useless academics not focused on helping the state and people. \nLike linguistics without teaching it to others.\nWe need them, sure. But only five, not five hundred.\nWage changes. Meaning drastic reductions in pay for anything that doesn't directly benefit the community or somebody in need for that money. No more bankers, more construction workers and skilled craftsmanship. \nPeople who then can build the housing we needed. \nBecause they now do something valuable and helpful.\nA guaranteed flat for every couple if she is already pregnant. \nPlus tax reductions and preferencial treatment for taxation. \nLowered tax rates for food and drink and supplies. But only for the parents and only with a cash card bestowed by the state. The amount gets registered and then gets deducted afterwards and according to what benefits you are qualified for. \nMoney as the engine of a nation not as their leesh and doom. \n\nThese benefits and freedoms need to be guarded closely and with vigilance. \nBecause Germany has to be worth it to feel like an improvement and not a stop gap.\n\nMost European or adjacent people already fulfill these criteria. \nOther nation and believe groups massively devalue our country and despoil our land. \nLike bugs eating your crops. \nIts their natural instinct but if you want to life, you have to get rid of them.

Better to leave India. No place for decency and honesty in India. Our country is a pithole. Keep paying taxes like its Sydney but get infrastructure like Somalia.

I worked for only 10 years in the USA paying a small portion of my earnings in taxes. Then I returned to Canada, working 25 years and paying a much larger portion of my earnings in taxes. I'm now retired in Canada receiving CPP benefits that are less than a third of the Social Security check I'm receiving from the USA. I wish I had stayed in the US and continued working there. I would be so much better off in retirement.

They pay less every day compare to other countries. Absurd taxes. Home crisis in big cities. Bad weather. No social life. Also social justice is broken basic workers earn more then skilled ones. No one welcoming you also. More than enough

I came to Canada 18 years ago from South Asia and work really hard to be in a position where I’m now. I’m not opposed to the immigrant anyway but why almost all the immigrants will come from a particular region? I don’t even recognize this country anymore. Canadian morales are down. So many people came so fast instead of learning Canadian value they are imposing south asian problem in Canadian society. People in South Asia laugh at Canada, and called Canadian govt cute and innocent cause they believe what every temp/student put their application and blindly bring them in Canada. I know thousands of ppl came to Canada by tourist visa and then stay in Canada. Govt even giving them monthly allowance. And I’m paying thousands of dollars in tax. Basically I’m in the same level of a person who do not pay tax but enjoy all the luxury in Canada. It’s a fault of This govt.

Honestly speaking, I never thought that there’s a lot of issues going on in Canada, during the college seminar, we were told that there’s good education (which is completely true), good pay rates for work, good housing and good society. After coming to Canada, I realized the rents are sky high, homeless people everywhere (it’s not their fault, they are homeless because of the government), drugs & weeds, everything’s expensive, high tax, couldn’t able to get even a low wage jobs? if I know these things are going to happen then I won’t come to Canada, also I don’t have enough money to pay back my education debt and I can’t go home without earning a single penny, I’m trying my best to spread awareness about the real issues that’s going on in here and I hope people will think twice before coming to Canada. \n\nOther than that, Canada?? is a beautiful country with amazing people, places and culture, I would love to be a part of it but if the situation is not gonna improve then I prefer to go back to India??

This is not enough. The immigration rules and policies need a complete overhaul. Here are some thoughts - 1) Stop issuing PRs to unskilled workers by revising the point system and tightening eligibility criteria. 2) do not grant PR to old parents until their child has become a citizen. they should not be allowed to work for more than 10 hours a week. 3) Limit social security benefits for immigrants during their first three years, allowing only essential healthcare for critical issues. 4) Halt the practice of granting easy citizenship. Extraordinary talent should be eligible for citizenship after three years, while others should only qualify after paying taxes for five years within the last ten. 5) Stop issuing LMIAs that are quite frequently misused for cheap labor. 6) Restrict work permits to a maximum of 5K per year until demand increases. 6)Limit the number of refugees to no more than 10K per year. In addition to these points, all existing loopholes must be closed.

I am a finland National and i did my student exchange in Canada for 3 months 4years ago with Lots of indian students in my class,i honestly admire their hardworking and resilient spirit,i still have few them as friends,though i am back in Finland and employed,so also is my Indians friends they are employed in canada and paying taxes,I am just curious why Canada is targeting and don't want this group in Canada,maybe Canadians don't need more workers :)

Canada is the second largest country in the world in terms of area alone with a VERY small tax paying population. We only have 18 million taxpayers (remember the other half are children or senior citizens living on their pensions). We NEED immigrants to invest in businesses, to pay taxes, to work and do all the jobs we don’t have enough Canadians for. If we didn’t have immigrants, Canada would fall apart as our birth and death rates are low. We need to build more towns and cities or increase incentives for immigrants to move our dying out towns.

The real Germany (West Germany) is as described in the video. But paying taxes and knowing that someone in the east will get part of your earnings isn't something I'd subscribe to. Coz those in the East aren't Germans, but rather a mix of USSR and 3rd Reich citizens.
