When there are more outsiders than Canadians in Canada you know the immigration process needs to be looked at . I am sure there are people from other countries that come to study in Canada but way is Indias number so high that’s the real question?

I have one question for all the media person here if you are questioning all these international students why they are on protest, my question is why no one from media is questioning on refugees who is coming from the terror countries and Canadian govt supporting them giving them fund every month giving them free accommodation. All the international students are earning money, paid 4x more fees than canadian citizen

I see a lot of comments which are mostly against the international students and are some racist as well. I can understand the pain of Canadian and i am also a canadian now (immigrant), It is a total mess created by the government where government used international students as the cash cow from past 7-8 Years. Its the fault of both sides but the major culprit is the government. I was a also a new immigrant to canada in 2012 and I thanks alot to the open arms welcome for the immigrants by the canadians but when you put a pinch of salt in food its taste good and its was all good until 2015-16. but the government started putting the full carton of salt in small bowl of soup which made the food bitter now not just for the canadian generation but the immigrants which moved to canada before 2016. I hope in the next coming years things will change for canadians. In the last I would, If someone don't wants to welcome me in his home then I should not enter to his home. we should respect that where ever we should go not just canada, it applies to any part of the world and to everyone.

Well thats's expected, Canada has nothing much to be offer except the permanent residence. Quality of our tech education even at top institutions is not top notch. I am in software/machine learning (fancied AI), born Canadian who did bachelor's and master's from University of Waterloo and moved to US for my PhD in 2014. Sorry to break this but even top universities in Canada come nowhere even close to top 20 in US when it comes to American universities. I completed my masters in 2011 and was doin some junk work in Canada as tech industry is light years behind US where all innovations happen. I was literally shocked to see the difference in education and quality of work after coming to US. Canada only wants blue collar workers, realtors and truck drivers.

The problem I have with Indians is that they dont like Canadians, make no effort to learn the language and culture, are very rude, entitled and disrespectful towards anyone that dont look like them. Then why are you here in Canada? This is a very multicultural country, which is something they obviously knew before coming here. They treat us Canadians with such hatred, disdain and indifference, especially in the workplace. Indians are always playing the victim and throwing the race card around or just protesting around every corner, every damn week when something doesn't work in their favor. If you're that damn unhappy here in Canada, you're free to leave anytime. And many Indians in Managerial positions will only hire other Indians, even though a lot of them aren't quality for the job or their English is very poor. Canada has always been very excepting and tolerant towards different ethnicities, but that's because they've always put in the effort of getting to know and learning from us.

The sensible comment- the govt is at fault, they gave too many visas, sold Canadian dream. And students they come from families who have sold their lands to pay fees to come to Canada. Trudeau and his bad policies caused this , no point in hating the students.

Sitution is out of control, not sure the conservative have a solution, for they may talk big and verbally attack the visible minority to get the far right votes, but in reality they would not dare upset the far right international collision - for example the Indian Prime Minister, a far right hero of all racist and fascist of the world. Conservatives, Liberals and NDP leadership is all the same relying on fearmongering. Why not shut down all these fake colleges and universities. Give more money to our established colleges and universities with small classroom catering to Canadians of all race and class.\nThis major invasion of foreign student affects all Canadian in the urban centres regardless of race and creed.\nThe young Canadian students have limited job opportunities because all low paid jobs are taken by the foreign adult students, companies like Walmart has found cheap labour in foreign students - modern day slavery.\nThe foreign students, atleast a good majority of them, come to Canada to settle and to support their families back home, therefore they have to work.\nLet's vote for the party with real solutions to safe guard ours and ours kids future. As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! Remember, the system in France is TOTALLY different!!!!

I am Canadian, 7 generations here. I don't hate Indians. I have a lot of friends who are from India living here in Canada. Everyone, no matter where you come from should learn Canadian customs and learn our culture. Immerse yourselves in it, you're welcome to. Just like if someone went elsewhere from Canada, we would be expected to behave accordingly. It's not racism at all.

What do you expect when you grant citizen ships to people of a country with highest population in the world. Went through the pathway of studies-work-residency-citizenship\n\nLet me simplify the story for all of you guys here that lacks immigration intel. \n\n1) The quality of migrants you see here is not what Canada needs long term. It’s not a matter of ethnicity, but Canada needs to import talented and educated folks in medicine, engineering, trades etc. None of these individuals are interested in studying and are either attending 3rd grade colleges/universities to get a work permit and hoped to stay on. \n\n2) Shoddy sales tactics include lying or ‘avoiding stating the obvious’ that could make you lose the deal. This is exactly what the Canadian government did with these people. The Canadian dream was sold somewhat properly before 2017/2018 I would say. Post Covid there was a MASSIVE need of manpower in minimum wage jobs. The government could not afford increasing minimum wage at the time and international students would do exactly those jobs and bring in millions of dollars in tuition fees. The government opened the gates for these strip-mall colleges to take unprecedented numbers of students with allowances to work. These students were sold the exact same dream that a top quality University/college student is sold about Canada. They needed to be used at the time. And if they would’ve been told that their quality of students are only needed temporarily, they wouldn’t have come. The labour shortage at the time wouldn’t have been solved. So a CATCH 22 of the highest order. \n\n3) Canada CANNOT give in to such protests as it will set the worst example of migrant pandering for future generations. The best talent will refrain from entering Canada and more and more of these types of immigrants who do not want to assimilate to the Canadian culture will want to keep on coming.

People who want to throw them out should know the Canadian school charge lots of money as tuition fees. These poor kids borrowed money or sold their property back home to come here. If you don’t want them don’t accept to the country, there are other nations happily accept them.

My family came from Canada from India over 100 years ago we came over here legally we tried to assimilate I think what really bothers me now is that these new international students are giving all of us a bad name most of them cheat on their English exams back in India, and this is a known fact most of them can’t speak English and hence why they fail the colleges here expecting to be passed automatically. they work over 40 hours a week illegally and lie about it The government is subsidizing international students but they are taking jobs away from our students. We paid taxes my entire life and my son applied for over 100 jobs and got nothing because every single job is taken over by international students they are they are abrasive. They are entitled, they cannot seem to understand how assimilation works. They are so entitled and they feel they can protest out in the streets when they dont get PR. They came on a student visa and were expected to go home. They are now complaining and protesting at this point they all need to be sent home because this is ridiculous, PR should be handed out as needed not automatically and right now there are so many Canadians without jobs so we don’t need more workers. I also work in healthcare most of the students or their families come in don’t have appropriate healthcare and we end up paying millions of dollars in healthcare bills because of them, we have had families come visit their international students with no healthcare having strokes costing us healthcare workers and the government over $1 million. We don’t have the infrastructure for these students to stop. The government needs to stop subsidizing. How do they have time to protest? Shouldn't they be studying or working? I wish I had time to protest about all the things that are not right, but I have to work to pay my bills. I'm Canadian born I've lived here for 44 years and I have not had time to protest not one day of my life. The number of international students which is 1, 50, 000 and the next number which is 14, 11, 000is such a huge number of international students which will over come and take a total control of every business and work in Canada , thereafter the native Canadian people and their next generations with suffer a lot and the deportation of such huge number will also be difficult .The bettter solution is to stop this king of studies and international studentships to avoid gross complcations in future.

Indians that came here and were at boarder security were asked specifically what is the reason to you coming to Canada? If the answer was school then they were specifically told that once their schooling is finished that they will be returning back to India. If they answered yes then they able to enter the country, if they answered anything but yes they were on the very next plane back to India. \nSo students that are failing their exams and then protesting that they should be Canadian citizens. \nGive me a break. \nI was born here and have paid taxes through the nose my whole life. \nI deserve to be here, Indians don't. \nShip them back and make Brampton and all of Canada great again. The house next door to me is a small 1960 2 bedroom 1 bathroom . There is at least 20 punjabs living there. The place stinks garbage everywhere. Cars are coming and going. Canadian Universities have no right to demand anything! CEOs and other execs need to drop down their salaries by a lot. We should have a cap on that. Don't base Canadian's right to education on immigrants, we know that model doesn't work. That has destroyed affordability and all for your relentless greed. We need more Canadians at college, less tuition fees, more federal money into the system and less internacional students. Your model is unsustainable and it was about time for that cash cow madness to come to an end. By the way, we also need to crack down on those fake colleges and outlet diploma mills. Post secondary education is a mess and it should be cleaned up real good.

So there's been an increase on Indian vs Indian crime. The reason being, that the Indian people who came here in the 1900s are established and for so long, hoodlums/Indian government couldn't access them and their wealth or opinions about India. But with the laxed immigration, the hoodlums, who otherwise would have no access to Canada, have been let into the country (think of all the recent intel issues between Canada and India). And they are carrying out random attacks against the former Indians, but now Canadian citizens (and their businesses) that have been citizens for well over 40 years.
