The country will sooner or later have a crisis due to its politics and their companies falling behind in competitiveness due to incompetence and arrogance. Instead of blaming themselves, they will blame immigrants, including you. Also, if you are a qualified foreigner, you will have to come to terms with being a second class resident, watching how natives enjoy their life and expect you to do their work. Only “luxury jobs” with a strong union like IG Metall will ensure you a fair treatment. But most of these jobs are occupied by 55+ yo people that are waiting for retirement without innovating or contributing absolutely nothing to their company. \nThe woman in the video is happy because she married a local (for love of course). With her low salary as a nurse she would be absolutely miserable and lonely. The Indian guy has a family, and well, he comes from India.

The problem of housing crisis is Canadian government let multibillion foreigners to come to Canada to control Canadian real estate . Here in China, housing is so expensive that many young people give up on dating and getting married. Unlike in Western countries, where immigration is often blamed for housing issues, the core problem here lies with those who already own property. These property owners deliberately inflate housing and rent prices to maintain their wealth, while the government is more than happy to see property and land prices to stay high so they can earn higher tax revenue for their own politician’s pay bonus, forcing younger generations to work under exploitative conditions to pay for the predatory rent, leaving barely enough money to afford basic essentials .

This is great Canada. I'm so happy you are finally stopping the influx of usage to the Canadian citizens. These people coming into our countries must fight in their own countries to fix their own problems instead of using us all. The world is now over populated. We don't need more polluting, drawing, destroying, and over breeding.

I've never got that impression from the majority of other nationalities I've worked with. You can look up the worldwide studies that rank India so high for intolerance easily. These are large surveys. \n\nEnd of the day when you have large immigration spikes without infrastructure it is doomed and you will get a lot of misplaced hatred towards immigrants as low to middle class locals rents/ house prices explode. Not to mention the low skilled jobs that immigrants will do cheaper. \n\nImmigration is a cheap way for developed countries to increase GDP. Without planning and proper direction it will always fail on the whole. \n\nIm happy to debate my opinion with anyone. We all need a better approach.

Overpopulation overpopulation overpopulation makes every problem on the planet impossible to solve. We need every government in the world to have policies that encourage people to have 2 or fewer children. As the population stabilises and slowly reduces rents will be more affordable, unemployment will be reduced, pollution causing climate change will reduce, loss of animal habitat and species extinction will stop, happiness and health will increase for everyone.

Canadians should be happy bevause of this.

Most people in Canada do like immigrants and try and want to accept newcomers . I am happy to see new faces younger people, people with a different outlook. However this lack of housing is a major problem for poor and lower middle class people - citizens and noncitizens. Unfortunately rents are a racket in most cities, the real estate business is full of unnumbered accounts and money laundering; Canada is full of organized crime from all over the world, we cant control foreign attempts at killing our citizen. So we can tell our government is not efficient and is doing a poor jobHowever I dont think the average immigrant is the problem and I feel they are treated like rubes by our government and taken advantage of and so are Canadians of different ethnic backgrounds who also suffer the same problems of many immigrants. That's the truth. Letting people in with out providing opportunities for jobs, housing, support is foolish and destructive to our country. Our politicians are selling us down the drain-i.e. all those who are not in the upper middle class or the elites. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!! VOTE FOR CHANGE !

If you want to talk about the crisis, let's start at the beginning, shall we? \nIt all began when the USA wanted to use Pakistan as a drop-off point for their army. Pakistan saw this as a golden opportunity and made the most of it. Pakistan and India were, unfortunately, enemies. \nLots of money started to flow into India, especially Punjab. They started helping criminal and hardline religious leaders so they could create problems for India. \nAfter Pakistan lost the war with India, many of those criminals fled. They went to Pakistan, Pakistan saw that as ppportunity and asked the USA for help. The USA was kind enough to take in those folks and dump them in Canada,. Give them funds to for their Khalistani movement, to create problem for India to make Pakistan happy. Just like the USA once funded Al-Qaeda, the Taliban, etc. to hurt Russia. \nMeanwhile, Canada started using those criminals as a Vote bank. And what do these folks do? They form gangs, of course! Gangs need people, so they started inviting or smuggling people from India. Most of those people are just criminals or the lowest of the low. \nWhen those Khalisthani creating problem for India, Canada and the USA support them. \nDrugs, smuggling, trafficking, and violence are the only things these Khalisthani have learned. \nUntil USA, Canada stop supporting Khalisthani movement both Canda and India will suffer from these people.

I think the pushbacks and overall migrant crisis are a way for conservative political leaders all over the world to keep their demographics happy and consolidate their careers. Im a teenager living in Toronto and its hard seeing rent for my cramped apartment go up when its already hard for family to pay. The only way I think I can be happy is to move away as so many people come in to the country I hold dear.

Canada needs half a million new workers brought in every year to function. Not happy about that? Have more Canadian babies, and quickly please! But housing? Different beast. How much of this is because of foreign (Chinese) investments snapping up scores of apartments, just to park money? Apartments that will not be used for housing people. I had applied for Canadian immigration 2 years back, have a phd in Economics, hold Post Graduate Diploma in Communication and Visual arts, am from the hills in India. I never got the approval despite having money to pay for all. Then came to know someone with basic school education got the approval for driving cars in Canada. Decided to move to china instead and am happy with the decision.
