I was born and raised here. I am one big bill away from being homeless.. This is not the Canada I know. We are punishing sick ppl for being sick. ...ppl on disability don't even get enough money to survive on let alone pay for all the extras and alot of ppl on disability didn't get the grocery rebate. So tell me how that is fair... families are homeless more and more added every month due to insane rent costs and shady landlord doing eviction to raise rents. The whole country is a hot mess.

The vast majority of these immigrants are not high skilled labour. People need to realise that the only reason Canada is doing this is because its birth rate is so low, they’ve said it many times. They are literally replacing their population and Canadian culture is dying along with it. The US might offer more money for the same job but you left the higher costs out. Canada is safer, you have better chances of not getting shot in the street or at a routine traffic stop, you can raise children that have a higher rate of surviving to finish highschool, finish college with less debt and less pounds and you can retire with decent healthcare. All these are advantages that eat up at the US pay bonus and some can't be bought at all.

Considering how ridiculously high Canadian housing prices are, it boggles my mind as to why they want even MORE immigration. How do ordinary people in Toronto or Vancouver even survive? Seriously.

I would move to the US in a minute if it wasn't so difficult to immigrate. At least in the US you do have health care. Health care is practically unavailable here and now they are going to pass a lot to limit our access to vitamins and natural health supplements which I need to survive.

I am a Canadian and I love the cheaper gas and groceries but I’d never live there. I’ve been in and out of hospitals had about 10 surgeries so far at 46 and I’m transgender I could never survive there. When I use to live in Windsor Ontario and lived across from Detroit I use to go over to buy groceries and gas but that enough for me. No offence to anyone it just wouldn’t work for me. I’m proud to be a Canadian and I live in Nova Scotia Canada and health care sucks in the sense waiting for things like surgeries and MRI takes a long time I know someone who waited 2 years for one but it is free and I would probably be dead if I had to pay for healthcare so I’ll stay here.

My friend moved there with her 10 yr old son. He started having panic attacks after the ‘school shooter drills’ if it happens enough that schools have drills how to try and survive… that just doesn’t work for most of us.

My friend had just finished cancer treatment when she had 2 aneurysms & a stroke. She was airlifted to another hospital & had 2 brain surgeries. She now is now working 2 full time jobs plus door dash on the weekends just to survive. It is absolutely ridiculous. For the healthcare part, I didn't know that there is a shortage of service providers, because for almost 40 years I have been living in Canada, I could not remember my waiting time for the service, except in emergencies. Which don't give me a minute waiting time anyway.\n\nThe reason is I take advantage of free online healthcare education. The very same stuff the doctors need to update their knowledge. And I use food and healthy lifestyle as medical treatments. So, I survive with sickness including cancer and contagious illness from pandemic.

I live in canada and am starting my final year of high-school in the fall. I have a lot of friends my age, none of us are planning to stay. All of us are going to the States or Europe. We're not leaving because we don't like Canada, we're being forced out because its too expensive to survive. The last two years have been a slow realization that the options for people my age are A) live on the support of your parents for the rest of your foreseeable life, B) become homeless, or C) leave.\n\nIts especially painful because a lot of people here came from immigrant families who worked hard to come here for a better life for their kids, just to have their kids leave for elsewhere or even return to their country of origin.

A bird's eye perspective: A lot of these people are coming from impossible living situations, surviving under corrupt officials, and dangerous environments. They're desperate, and completely unaware of how bad things are getting here. It's important to remember: These are humans and neighbors. So sad because we Americans could be in a similar situation soon.

I am at a loss. These people look fit and healthy, and they are dressed in decent clothing. I live in small town rural area of Missouri, and several of this town's members are dressed shabbily compared to these oppressed people. If we have enough accumulated goods, clothing, food, medical resources, etc. to save healthy immigrants who are well clothed, why can't we raise our fixed income citizens' health coverage and clothing allotment? Honestly, I'm so sorry the people in Mexico are suffering but PLEASE don't come to America. There is not enough housing for our people AND theirs.
