Ive been working my ass off to pay for my documents for legality, paid taxes yearly and just comply to whatever is needed for immigration. Now im a US citizen. And this people just think they can just walked in without legal papers pisses me off. Come on people we all have different struggles in life, but we have to do the right thing! Even if youre inside the US you cannot have a decent job and no company is gonna accept you if you dont have legal papers. Therefore you cannot open a bank account and you cannot build your credit and get a place to stay. Theres too many homeless here already. Just do the right thing! The govt cannot save you all.

This doesn't move me with sympathy, it moves anger in me. My family and I were homeless in the U.S. all because I decided to further my education with a school who claimed to be accredited and all this stuff but quickly found out it all was a sham....so in not securing my deposit on a new place or being financially able to fight an eviction were the property basically got paid twice for bs they didn't handle...all because the irs took my income tax which I was depending on being I just started a new job and had 3 weeks before my first paycheck...we were on the street....everywhere I turned was a wait-list and no one I mean no entity would help us..... claiming lack of funding or some proof of homelessness other than papers proving your eviction....just so many ridiculous things....it took us a while to get off the streets and this is kids born on this soil....with a citizen who never been in trouble with the law, 3.8 gpa, educated and motivated and employed.....on the street and although now we have a roof as U.S. CITIZENS still struggling to find our footing....and STILL NO HELP...NOT A FOOD STAMP NOTHING and the lights are out due to the landlord....soooo I'm not sympathetic of these people....I struggled and still struggling in MY OWN COUNTRY WITH NO HELP FROM MY COUNTRY....GO BACK WHERE YOU CAME FROM AND FIGURE IT OUT.....

We cannot save people from other countries when we have our own people drowning! Our own veterans homeless! Our own people not being able to afford rent anymore! Our tax money needs to help our own people first. The day our people are doing well then we can help but until then we need to focus on our own. I cant even afford a home with my husband due to the cost doubling-tripling! And our health insurance is $800 A MONTH! Employee provided! We dont make 6 figures even so how is it fair they would get free medicaid while we pay hundreds. Its not fair.

Immigrants take half of the resources up. Food banks homeless shelters. Let them go back and suffer. America has so much tax why are they b***** ?? everyone is racist here. Please people help me out

Most of these Venezuelans don't even have idea how capitalist job market works. You forgot 1 major point-\nAt least here in Canada, we don't have to live in fear of gun violence. We don't send our children only for them to be massacred in their schools. Let me tell you, Americans live the worst life out of all. In much poorer Spain, people still have universal education till university, good healthcare, good public transportation system and they don't have to eat the frozen crap most Americans eat. Spanish people eat fresh meat, fruits, cheese and vegetables and drink some of the best wine, despite earning much less than Americans and working astonishingly low hours. Moreover, their cities are livable, not like the concrete jungle of Texas. \n\nYes America is rich but DUDE, Its seriously third world, if you arent rich and successful.

At least our banks in Australia don’t go broke like in US . Since the Covid lock downs a lot of people are homeless all around the world . I live in Sydney and I could not care less if we are isolated . We still can visit New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and South East Asia . I rather live in Australia than overseas because my relatives in the UK , and Cyprus didn’t care to spend time with me when I visited there . Their attitudes are not laid back . Anyway there are international students who find work here in Australia . We have heaps of lovely places in Australia to visit . There are amazing places in Western Australia and the rest of Australia to see . I agree Canada is amazing as I have been there but it doesn’t mean Australia is a dump like you are saying . I am sorry that you had a bad experience here but it doesn’t mean Australia is a horrible country to live in . There is beauty in our deserts thank you .

For all you blatantly racist people here in the comments which seems to be just about everyone here, this is capitalist America for you. You say they take your jobs and your homes because you yourself have a hard time finding a job or a home. It’s not because there’s no homes. In fact there’s so many unused homes that exist in the United States that we could give every homeless person we have here a house and there would still be over a million houses empty. Streets are lined with homeless people and with the high cost of living it could be anyone of us carting our humble belongings around in a shopping cart.\nIf you have children I'd avoid sending them to Canadian schools and opt for homeschooling. Your children will be read to by drag queens while sitting on some strangers lap. \nThis week in class my neighbors son class will be showing boys how to paint their nails. People buy houses to have a place to live. COMPANIES buy houses to profit off desperation, not to be homeless.

A lot of single family homes are being sold to large corporations and the price is getting driven up in America QE quantitative, easing cheap money bonds that was given out by the federal government. A lot of that money went to buying housing rentals driving up the cost with no intention on ever selling. It’s a steady flow of income they got the money for free. 0 % now the people that dose have a home the layoffs will create a downturn that will cost more people, their homes, large corporations, or buy the rest of them leave them people either homeless or slaves to the system forever

This cartoon fantasy that every single person has the exact same amount of skills to offer and has the same value and rights is destroying places all over the United States and has been and will continue to hurt Canada. You want people to have equal rights until you literally can’t ride your bike to work because of the amount of people on drugs and homeless on the street/sidewalk is to large to even cross by. Homelessness is an economy that supports bureaucrats and their crony friends. These bureaucracies steal working peoples money via social taxation. Mental health treatment is idiotically complex and difficult for a suffering individual to receive and maintain.

Build towns that are surrounded by walls give them a small space to live and build factories. Allow these people to have a small check and live and work in those small cities say in the middle of nowhere. Make them work for 1 year in those places and as long as they do good not crime and show up for work and take care of there living space then allow them to become citizens. That way you weed out the criminals and non hard workers. In 1 year you will have a good idea of who should be staying. Also its them paying for there spot and contributing to the us economy. Once they become contributing members of society and they get on there feet out of each check they will take a small amount to pay for all the resources that were used to help them. Also I belive the majority of the ones let in should be women and the young children. If I don't get free help working full time struggling they shouldn't either. Let's make america a manufacturing power house like we're were in the past and the only reason we are a super power now. Also do the same thing for criminals and the homeless teach them worth ethic and how to follow laws instead of giving them handouts to go buy more dope

They need to pull these people to the side & take them in a room & show them how horrible the us is doing right now, hell you got to places like California & new york even chicago where i am homelessness is a everyday thing, people here are barely scraping by they need to start banding together to fight against the government tierney & the drug cartels making life hard for them in their own countries instead of trying to ram their way into the us & over crowd us.

It's too many people coming into the United States. Highly overcrowded. The US needs to start taking care of their own citizens first. There's homeless Americans right here that are citizens, there are hungry people right here in the US that are American citizens. They need to start helping their own first. These Americans should not be without anything. And then United States is quick to help other states before they help they own. It's really a shame. And half the people that come here from other countries don't even like Americans. There shouldn't be not one homeless American citizen in America. The country has billions and billions of dollars and they should be able to house their own citizens.
