We have exactly the same problem here in the UK. Politicians talk tough on immigration but when they get in power and see the books, they open the borders.\n\nWhat do i mean by the books. Im talking of slowing down population growth which is unable to support paying pensions to old geezers...they have a change of heart. \n\nNobody likes immigration till when they are told that the pension purse dad and mom paid into when they were younger, is now no longer able to pay them after retirement. This is why politicians change direction when tbey finally get in power. Like Trudeau so will it be with Pierre. Like Rishi Sunak, so will it be with Keir Starmer. Like Joe Biden so will it be with a Trump. \n\nFor me i dont care who comes in. I just care that they work hard, be good neighbours, dont cause problems to those that they met here...and work hard to pay me my pension when i get old cos i paid into the purse thats supporting the old geezers now.\n\nIm British. Ive got a Canadian Visa that i dont need. I dont fancy visiting a place where access to healthcare is troublesome. \nAnd I love seeing my fellow Africans here cos Africans are hardworking people.

Just hearing about this unfortunate situation for Indians in some countries. I am German, based in Berlin. I love our turban wearing Sikh cycle couriers bringing food to the hungry. Recently saw a pedaling Indian girl, even. No probs whatsoever with these Indians here.They work, they study alonside, many are established in well paying IT jobs. Unlike some immigrant groups, Indians never create problems, do not depend on welfare, have decent manners and are smart in whatever occupation they choose. You are welcome to send us more of them! Our immigration laws are weak. Each and every immigrant must be vetted and must have something to offer in Canada. No more free rides for so called refugees. Canadian Universities have no right to demand anything! CEOs and other execs need to drop down their salaries by a lot. We should have a cap on that. Don't base Canadian's right to education on immigrants, we know that model doesn't work. That has destroyed affordability and all for your relentless greed. We need more Canadians at college, less tuition fees, more federal money into the system and less internacional students. Your model is unsustainable and it was about time for that cash cow madness to come to an end. By the way, we also need to crack down on those fake colleges and outlet diploma mills. Post secondary education is a mess and it should be cleaned up real good.

So there's been an increase on Indian vs Indian crime. The reason being, that the Indian people who came here in the 1900s are established and for so long, hoodlums/Indian government couldn't access them and their wealth or opinions about India. But with the laxed immigration, the hoodlums, who otherwise would have no access to Canada, have been let into the country (think of all the recent intel issues between Canada and India). And they are carrying out random attacks against the former Indians, but now Canadian citizens (and their businesses) that have been citizens for well over 40 years. I am an immigrant essentially - finally got my PR after 3 years in 2012 (on a skilled worker application - IT Systems Manager), 10k in lawyers fees - I took exams to prove I can write read and speak English - I maintained a decent level of fitness to pass my medical (cost more money in gym memberships) (I was born and bred in the UK and privately educated there) I bought a house before I was a PR - I had to jump through hoops and I played by the rules to get my PR (I am now a citizen) - I do not understand how these people think that they can just demand what I had to work so very hard to achieve...?

Temporary is temporary, you go home when your working permit or student visa expired. Simple as that! You have raised the number of students, their working status, and the employment authorization for students' spouses as a cause for the housing problems in Canada, particularly, it's negative impact on affordability. This is factually true, However, there are two sides to the housing affordability equation, which are the supply/offer on one side, and the demand on the other side . If we need or require the affordability equation to be balanced, we need to deal with both sides of the equation. Furthermore, and regardless of the issue of foreign students, and their spouses, the lack of offordability will not significantly improve, as the supply is the accumulation of many years of deficit, due to bureaucratic, regulatory reasons, and the lacking, or the deficiency in housing policy, at all government levels, and all related taxation, budgeting, financing, and general economic policy adopted , or omitted in dealing with inflation, interest rate manipulation by the Banque of Canada, inadequate competion issues, investment in main street, instead of the Wall of Bay Street, political sanctions, and tariffs, etc..This immigration issue needs to consider the demographic, and labor needs of Canada, while in the same time, or in tandem, prepare for the required housing supply, and other needs, and requirements in term of reviewing the rules and procedures, pertaining to integrating the professional immigrants in their professions instead of excluding them from professional organizations such the medical, and the ingeneering, professions and so on. Many of such professional resources are driving cabs in Toronto, Vancouver,and Montreal. So to blame the housing crises on the immigrants only, will not define completely the housing crisis, and may not help to solve it.

No!! Student visas are just student visa. They cannot stay in western countries indefinitely. We want legal immigration. Stop twisting things. A student visa and work visa's are temporary. Once your visa's are over you go home. You cannot use these visas's as a stepping stone to permanent residency or citizenship. To tell you the truth its cheaper to send them home than keep them. Your protest is null or void. Your rights are in your own country.

Isn't this CLEAR EVIDENCE that a significant number of international students only come for work and immigration and not for education? I'm not saying they are doing anything wrong; people will do whatever based on the incentives available to them. Work and an eventual Canadian passport are just too good a deal to pass up for many international students.

Government should not have allowed to bring spouses and their children to Canada while they are on foreign students visa. No other countries allowed this. This created a crisis in rental industry. They started draining our resources such as rental, school, healthcare…etc. no student should be allowed to work in any of the industries. They are taking away Canadian citizens jobs. In last 2 years I have spoken with many Canadian students and they are unable to find summer employment. This has to be stopped. Wake up Canadian politicians and government.

I think they are simply confused. This guy calls himself an immigrant. He isn't. He is an international student with a temporary permit to stay and possibly work in Canada for a very specific time with no immigrant status. He is not here to stay.

Actually you can just claim refugee status and stay in Canada. It is a LOOP hole in the immigration system. Sorry to be a snitch. People arrive under visitor visa and then claim refugee status. It works as of now Sept 8, 2024. Not sure when that loop hole will be closed. Have a nice day!

As a Chinese immigrant, I have to say that Canada needs to evaluate the quality of new immigrants. For the past 20years, large amount of Chinese immigrated to Canada, 50% of them are wealthy, and brought millions billions of dollars to Canada, especially a lot of rich students who are willing to consume and pay taxes. The other 50% are not that wealthy, but they are working hard while not breaking the rules. Most importantly, they don’t take shit on the beach, and they are afraid to break laws!

As a Jamaican Canadian living here for many years it's getting really hard to survive in this country. Everything is expensive. No work available ?? plus this one-sided immigration policy is killing the country fast fast ⏩

Lawyers are the biggest clowns, I am an immigrant myself and I never used their services. They are part of the problem because many of them like to lie encouraging everyone to apply for different process giving hope to newcomers to stay. They get money whatsoever even the immigrants' visa process don't work out.

I am an immigrant from England. It took us five years to get immigration. We had to prove we had money in the bank would bring jobs to the economy go for medical physicals we were watched we were followed. These people are not the same as me. I worked hard to be here, I had to prove who I was, and I had to provide jobs to the country, I don’t come here with my hands out. We are not the same stop pretending you’re on my level.

The reason they don't want to speak is because they can't speak English. Their command of the language is so poor yet they want to stay in Canada. Majority came through the student visa route as a means to get a work permit. They are abusing our system. These people must be sent home asap and our immigration system must be changed. Immigration agents who make promises they can't keep must have their licences revoked. We don't need anymore Tim Horton's workers. Tim Horton's and alike should invest in tech that allows for a less labor intensive option. Our govt. is either too blind or pandering to their corporate donors to the detriment of Canadians. Our youth unemployment rate is running at over 14% and yet the govt. issues these foreigners work permits. Disgusting.

I don't like the idea of sending back anyone who is here, working daily, following Canadian laws, and paying into the tax system.. these are productive people.\nHowever, the intake stream needs to be cut back. We failed to build the infrastructure to support a larger population. So until infrastructure (housing, roads, police, fire, medical, electrical, sewage, etc..) is built out to accommodate 41 million people properly, we can't take in more.\n\nThis failure is entirely government created. Red tape and the inability to build anything anywhere is the fault of municipal, provincial and federal governments. And this inability to build anything anywhere also ruins Canada's productivity and ability to attract new industry (jobs) and investment (jobs). Government is failing Canadians. Immigrants and the Canadian poor are just the lowest victims on the ladder, and the first and most heavily impacted.

And apply for immigration like I did 22 years ago I had to wait 4 years for my papers to get approved and I got my visa as a skilled worker the moment I landed in Montreal and handed in all my documents to the officers of immigration at the airport I official became a permanent resident and with in one week I got all my medical card and social insurance number and I was even allowed to use my driver licence from country of origin for 3 month till I got a Quebec driving permit I started working as a machinist 3 weeks after I landed and I have been working and living in this amazing oh wait was amazing till Covid hits then the left destroyed every thing good in this country ! End of story !

Do you really think these crooks look like students who are here to study? What a joke. They are fraudsters, criminals, and hooligans who have found a super easy way to gain access to overseas countries like Canada, Australia, the UK, etc. through student visa, work permits, or refugees. Immigration Canada needs to surround the GTA slowly working their way in checking everybody's permanent residency and anyone who does not have it is removed with prejudice. Conviently there are 'immigration lawyers' offices right next door. There are reports that 'students' are recruited in certain South Asian countries, put into debt to the tune of $180,000 with the promise of being able to get residency and eventually citizenship. They are then put to work, in local businesses to work off this debt. There is a reason every single small business in my town is owned by a certain Southern Asian position group..\n Every single one, every gas station (even the one on the native reserve) every single fast food restaurant and they only seem to employ people of a certain population group... in my day that was called racism, but today it is just motivated by greed and exploiting their own people, which they have a long history of in their own country?????????

Indians do you allow to move to Canada and filter into the US, before you realize, there are 1.6 BN of them, enough to make real Canadians a minority in their own country. This is an honest video and I like that. I moved to Canada in 2010 and I moved back to Europe in 2021, so I am a Canadian immigrant and citizen now. I personally don't blame the Indians, I worked with people from India and I love a good tikka masala. Only Trudeau is to blame in Canada. But in India there are people who scam your Indian students, telling them they could go study in Canada and then become citizens and this is why now Indian students are protesting, because they realize they have been lied in India. So Canada is not to blame for this incident. Students must understand - they come to another country just to study, then go back home. And everybody must understand - when you move to another country, you must learn the new country culture. The Canadians must not adapt to the Indian culture, the Indians must adapt to the Canadian culture. I remember when we came to Canada they told us that if we do a crime, we would be deported back to our country. And now so many people do crimes and nothing happens. This is wrong. My point is - the main blame goes for the government, but some blame goes for the new Indian migrants too.

No Canadian government just took advantage of these immigrants . They should have thought this out before promoting them to come there for work.

I got in Canada when I was 8 years old and obtained my citizenship. Trudeau is the Worst thing to ever happen to Canada and I say this as an Immigrant. Justin Trudeau needs to get the fuck out. I work in the Health System and immigrants are overcrowding the system and carrying medical debts for medical conditions that lied dormant for years and expecting free services.
