keep your relogious belief at your home state ..even in india they should nt be alllowed to carry this in public outside their home state. nobody can guarantee the mental state of a human.recently a video went viral where a sikh guy who was a goon publicy stabbed a person over a verbal fight. well done by police and there was no need for apology by college. a country or state should run by their own rules and culture .

I think some people in a comment section are so dumb they apologized for what happened and some fucking people from India criticizing that they should follow the rules lol even in Europe we have right to carry kirpan bcoz maybe gore can understands Sikh religion more then some people in India

I have worked for almost five years in a reputed lab in Panjab, India. Trust me; no one brought any weapons to the lab in the name of religion. When we live in an organization, we need to follow their rule, even in India.

I’m an Indian and I can guarantee you this isn’t normal even in india (to be roaming around with a knife like object) \nIf this was an Indian cop man they would’ve slapped the religion out of this kid.

Taking Knife in campus is really stupidity, even if it is part of Sikh Community. I am Indian, and I belive if you are in India, Sikh can pretty much wear it where you can. But if you are in other country, you should abide by their law. Otherwise why the heck you are even traveling to other countries.

It's not wrong on the part of Cops. This is new to them . When they'll get to know that it's been going for so long , they'll consider it acceptable. After all Kirpans are even allowed at Airports in India . Everyone trust Sikhs . Sikhism shares love among all people.

Sikhism originated in India and even in India, Sikh officers do not carry the Kirpan at places of security. Concealed carry is also an option.\nReligious symbols are meant for a particular purpose and when there is a law or rule that is aimed to prevent any misuse w.r.t. security then it ought to be implemented. Christianity promotes Wine but that doesn't mean schools should start allowing kids to bring wine to school.

Just Follow the country law. When you are in India it might be fine but we cannot expect the same thing to other country as well. Even when you have onboarded the flight from India you would have asked to put the knife inside the baggage.

In visa division of consulate general of india to newyork, theres a counter for people to submit the phones and get a token, before they enter the respective divisions... They took the phone with them, and they are recording the whole thing. Embassies and consuls are sensitive places and have security concerns. You cant take your little phine and record. The officer must have politely asked her to take away the phone. If she does as the officer adviced her, she may not even have the phone to record the situation right. Im Asian and I love Vancouver! The weather is beautiful and mild! I enjoy the rainy days cozying up with nice jazz music on gorgeous cafes and restaurants Vancouver has. It is expensive yes, however if your Asian its not, you just havent explored the Asian market place, cheap housing are also available in the outskirt cities and the best part of it is you are near the beaches and outdoor recreation and fun! Taxes are high yep thats true however with three different surgeries my family had from Apendicitis, to Gall bladder stone removal and stent angioplasty that could have cost us millions but got it for free, also the Free education, Child support, CERB, etc, taxes doesnt seem to matter anymore. British Columbia's mountain ranges, ski resort, hot springs, also Albertas Banf, Jasper, and Canmore for me are truly majestic safe and beautiful! Ive been all around South east Asia Europe and even the middle east however the welcoming nature and culture of Canadians and the power of a canadian Passport for me trumps all other cities in other countries. If you want to learn extreme news go to Asia like, China, North Korea, and the Philippines, also the USA the most extreme of them all! Rules are indeed frustrating but Canadian rules are nothing compared to Singapore, if you want freedom try India, try to walk in sexy clothing on the streets. In the Philippines everybody drives drunk specially on Friday nights. The Canadian mindset of a Multi cultural communinty and the welcoming athmosphere of their thinking for me is the reason why Canada is truly the best place to live.

That's my plan man. I live in India. Move to Canada, Get master's degree, become a citizen in 5-8 years then find a job and move to either France, Germany or even Barcelona.
