What's interesting: I am a German thinking about moving to Canada, because I believe Germany is a mess. We gave home to more than 1,000,000 refugees since 2015 and still more to come. When a country is at war, the refugee population will be majority women and children. This is a statistical absolute. People always seem to be surprised about why populations turn against immigrants. Small numbers of immigrants that assimilate into your culture that don't require a lot of social services can be absorbed into the social fabric of a town, city, or country. Massive influx of foreigners don't speak your language and require years of social benefits that they don't pay in to, rapidly turn the existing population hostile. Morality has nothing to do with it. There is a reason Sun Tsu had an entire chapter in the Art of War about using refugees to overburden your enemy and destroy him afterwards.

If there fear there country so much why can’t they leave there culture of there and then adopt a new one in the new country . They take refugee in Europe and then try to make it like there sh!t country .

Western welfare and assistance programs used to be support systems for needy citizens. But in last 20 years its become a buffet feeding frenzy for the rest of the world to just get into those nations any way they can, legal or not, to get in on it as its an upgrade to the standards of where they come from. But we cant support it anymore. Government policies have not adapted to the changing world. Only citizens should have access to this and legal vetted immigrants. Some of these refugees ran away from highly radical islamic states, due to the living conditions, which are totally understandable, but this does shows the reality in the EU and the UK, some just simply intend to move to the EU to enforce their shariaw law agenda and could potentially comimg from radical groups. See whats happening in the UK, enforcing new foreign culture and belief to other countries. In addition to that, some EU countries and the UK are providing them free housing, prioritizing them over the locals in need. In 10-20 years from now they will be the mayority and will try any means to imposed their islamic laws across the EU. The EU will be a minority in its own states.

We should be granting asylum to female/child refuges no doubt in my mind - but instead we are being flooded with economic migrants. Not only is this harmful for our own economy but the refugees who really need help and would show appreciation to their host country are being left behind to suffer.

It’s crazy how most people think that Canada is importing an army of workers !!\nOnly a small percent of the million that come in every year have work visas (in the UK it is 15% and Canada is similar). The large majority are students from developing countries who are looking to immigrate to the first world but don’t have a job, education or any skills. Then it is family reunification and refugees. We are taking in very few highly skilled workers.

These are people who have decent jobs why are they allowed be refugee while we work so hard to be here officially and to pay taxes and work. This is so wrong. As a Canadian this is wrong. If it was genuine reason then it’s okay but not this way.

the west has always been welcoming immigrants, be it to meet job demands, or asylum for refugees from less well to do countries, or even retirement. It is okay to let some/ quota for immigrants but i felt recently it has gotten so much it is affecting locals, in terms of property prices, cost of living and rental rates, all increasing due to more demand. plus, over tourism is also pushing out locals. the world is so different from 10 years ago. once immigrants settle, they will set root and apply for PR / citizenship because the standard of living is much higher than their original country. and when population increases, it's going to cause even more pain to the locals. meanwhile, the west is shifting to lower cost countries to live and retire, albeit at a slower rate.

Why is it only military aged males coming from Pakistan? Also, many of the Muslim nations these refugees come from there isn't a conflict nor a serious national problem, they just want welfare. Also, the Afghan male migrants saying the are escaping prosecution while showing solidarity and support of the Taliban. So many of the refugees are scamming the host countries.
