While I am daily trying to pass the English test to be eligible for getting Canadian PR, these people just pay money and get PR easily. Cleverly this videos talks about "how much" and not "how many" refugees get Social Assistance, then uses Vietnamese legal immigrants (the hardest working people in Canada) as an example of how quickly they become self-supporting. The truth about refugees aftermath is that, the large majority of refugees in Canada coming originally from third world countries, live on Social Assistance for several years, some for life, knowing that the Canadian government will provide for them anything they need (Ironically there are very few statistics on this matter and no statistics at all since 2015, when the current government was elected).

My problem with women covering their faces is that that men are not allowed by law to cover their faces, so why would a certain group of women have this right. This was a horribly done story. It doesn't talk enough about the money or incentives. What financial incentive did these fake immigrants have to pay thousands of dollars to become a Canadian citizen. They briefly mention a low income benefit but don't even basically explain to what it amounts. Was Canada paying these fake citizens thousands of dollars a year in cash benefits for fake reports on low income earnings? A few things do not make sense. For example, they have their own translator to lie for them, How is it possible that there is no counter measures in placed? i.e. immigration's own translator. Just like sports, you have more than 1 referee in a game. Secondly, how is it possible to become to citizen without knowing either English or French? (referring to the need of translator for citizenship test) If they love the country enough to migrate, shouldn't they have similar values? It seems like they are just here for benefits? Why is the immigration criteria being so loose?

The Canadian government's immigration policies have created racism. When an immigration law is non democratically forced on the people of a country what do you expect? Regardless of what your political stance is no country in the world is okay with massive amounts of immigration. Most of these people never assimilate and become productive members of society. No country is capable to support the influx of people, it's unfortunate but true.

For everyone that is angry about the US immigration system, we have some of the most accessible immigration programs in the world. Many countries will never let you become a citizen if you aren't born there and yet we make citizens out of immigrants everyday. You just cant sneak in and hope to wait it out, though. Go through the process, learn the language and assimilate properly.

There are many problems with anti-immigrant rhetoric and one of them is the classification who is and who isn't an immigrant and the question of when does a person stop becoming an immigrant and become a Canadian? A significant portion of people living in Canada are first/second/third generation Canadians and so, how do we classify these people, are they immigrants or are they not? And what of their parents/grandparents who immigrated, are they? It's very important to note that without their ancestor parents, all these first/second/third gen Canadians will not be here and they are now 'Canadians' today because we had pro-immigration laws. Also, the idea of accessing services is by itself, very problematic. I spent the first 4 years of my life here paying high tuition fees as well as tax that are used to subsidize fellow Canadians' tuition fees yet I'm not able to access any government services. Following graduation, I worked as a worker on visa where my tax was no less than an average Canadian yet government services were very much inaccessible to me. It was only after I became permanent resident, that somehow everything suddenly became available to me. I have been tax paying 6-7 years before I became a PR here yet all those years, I wasn't able to access a single thing yet somehow, after I became PR, I'm eligible for everything? The tax argument doesn't make sense at all. I will be eligible to apply for citizenship in like a year and does that mean now I am one of you, Canadians?

just watched the national on the cbc and an muslim guest said that canadians are accepting, tolerant, kind, etc --- I ask why are muslims not? they do not seem to tolerate becoming canadian - accepting our customs and when confronted some of them are really agressive (but that's just my experience) ... and then there's MO, a good friend of mine (his name is mohammed but prefers Mo - he says it causes less problems in these times) why are immigrates against integrating into our customs - it seems to me our customs are pretty good. we don't believe gays should be thrown off buildings - we don't believe someone who steals should have a hand chopped off, we do not believe that an atheist should be decapitated. If you have a choice it seems you should choose to integrate. now you'll say my view is simplistic - but we complicate things too much - progess is mans ability to complicate simplicity (someone smart once said this)

Maybe immigrants of colour would have an easier time if they actually acted like immigrants of past to this country, the Italians, Portuguese etc they came to Canada and they didn't ask for handouts like the ones who come these days from India, Sri Lanka etc who get on welfare.
