As an Indian, I would like to apologize to the natives. That lady spoke the truth - if you are moving to a new country, you have to adapt and respect their culture so that they can accept you easily. Most people coming to Brampton don't even know how to communicate in English. I would like to share a true story that happened to me. In 2021, I was coming to Canada and I was standing in the boarding pass queue at the airport when a guy asked me how to spell Canada. I was in complete shock. How can you go to Canada as a student when you can't even spell it?

But the white people were immigrants too....they came to Canada from different europeqn countries marginalizing the Natives...why single out Indians now....anywhere in the world you go ....Indians are doing well and economically the place or area progresses....

Typical negative Indian outlook expressed by this news . While the cost of living in every country has increased and so has in Canada the negative outlook portrayed by this news shows how flawed are the Indian news systems. Definitely it's a cold country and people who weather this cold will be able to live . No doubt about that.

I am from India. While what u said is mostly true, I'd like to add that the top 10% indians dont immigrate to Canada coz the quality of life has degraded there.Your problem isn't too many indian immigrants, issue is too many underqualified indians. Don't allow just anyone to immigrate in your country. Allow only the best. Those who dont get into best Indian/ best US universities go to Canada.

Is Canada a white country? No, it belongs to native Americans. White people are illegal migrants who arrived in Canada without permission from the natives. Indians and other immigrants have at least come after seeking permission from the government of the day. White people came without permission.

I am not an Indian but I had lived in India for 15+ years. These people are so corrupted that westerners will not be able to fathom. Just last month a state minister's (Prajwal Revanna) video was leaked on the Internet. He made 2900 vidoes of sexual exploitation and violent abuse of women. His father is a member of the Parliament and his grandfather was an ex-Prime Minister of India. He slipped out the country and is in Germany. No action yet. Asifa Bano, an 8 year old village girl was gang rap***d by six people. Four of them were police officers. These are the types of people entering Canada.

I’m an international student from China and I never worked here. My Indian classmates ruined our final project. Wearing slippers for presentations and even cannot finish a simple website, my roommates are Indians as well, and they are all good. But some students they’re not come here to study, just for work. But just keeping the balance between study and work, will make other students have bad experiences. I also want to get the PR here, but it depends on my abilities and other factors. Someone above asked why so much Indians. you see indian student's out there - yes they had to pay 20K-40000CAD FEES to colleges + now a days 20,600 CAD GIC to Banks in Canada. \nEach in total spends 40-80k cad. \n\nAnd every day from the tim cup , pizza/ burger to food delivery you see indian. This video reeks of Racism, laws (if they want to be fair) can never retrospective in nature/application. All the students who are already in Canada should have the option to be eligible for a PR, they (the Indian students) went there for a better life, they have their entire existence dependent on the fact of becoming a Canadian citizen eventually. Deporting them would be a loss for India as well as Canada, as many of them will end up with depression and feeling of failure. \n\nThe Canadian government must allow these student who are already in the country to apply for citizenship and make citizenship and PR rules stricter going forward. From what I know, Sikhs are upstanding and outstanding community and great addition to any society, Canada will be much better off having them, than leaving them in a bad state by deporting them.

Canada is a corporation and I guess the more immigrants WE have then the GDP looks better. I am a Canadian and my mother was born here and my grandmother came to Canada in 1907 from the USA when she was 7 years old. I was born in the 1940s and brought up in rural surroundings. Back then We had traditional beliefs and I had farming background. Connection of relatives and helping our neighbours were how We lived. I became a schoolteacher. I saw that in 1954 when I went to school that learning was not natural and it was fear based. Then I completed a dip. of ed psy and then I decided that if I ever wanted to help change the system that I would require at least an m. ed. - leadership. I knew the university I went to would not be able to say no to me when I applied to get into this program. However, I was too much of an negative influence on the younger students and had to finish the last couple of classes at home and which I did. Today, the families have been divided, people do not connect or communicate properly and I have to question what living skills did I learn? Instead, my head was filled with propaganda which sadly, I've had to relearn. I say, stay in your own country and fix it there. Indian has some wonder ancient wisdoms for healing and health. The OWNERS of our nations like the banking families realize that when new immigrates come in that they assimilate more, and the older generations begin to question what THEY were taught and why. I remember when say a barn burned down or one had to be built that neighbours would help build the barn for the farmer. Then we would all celebrate and the women would get together and cook the food and we would have a barn dance. Life was simple then, but connection was authentic and we didnt lose ourselves. We must know ourselves and our history or we are lost and so many people live in chaos and ignorance. Learn to become our Divine selves. Learn to understand that WE are living in a fictional world when We are educated to be who we are not.

I dont understand how its anyone's concern what language people speak with family and friends or if someone does not know English. In a free country, you can speak whatever language you want, wear your cultural clothing, and eat your culture's food. why does one need to adapt to the local area? The law doesnt oblige them... Also, these indians came legally no? In a democratic Canada that let them in... people voted for this directly or indirectly. I respect people who comes from other countries and working their ass off. Maybe too many around but at least they are hard workers .. Most of these students make up the majority that are seen on streets protesting now. \n\nOur policy target is to import 1.5 million immigrants in 2 years. Based on survey 25 % are Indians that 375,000 additional Indian nationals over 2 years. If cap is not placed, Canada will lose it diversity. We do need Quality over Quantity.

I am speaking as an Indian, who lived and worked in Thailand for 2 years, and now will be moving to Europe on a specialist skills visa. Indians as immigrants have been a productive addition to any country worldwide, compared to other nationalities. But the only exception case is in Canada. \n\nThe reality is, in Canada, the majority of immigrants are only from a specific part of India (Punjab), and most of these people are deluded, uneducated and unskilled. You are 100% right, they are not there to upskill or even contribute. I can bet these people have not even lived in big cities in India itself, they come from villages and small towns and have never seen how modern societies or even cities work.\n\nI feel sad for Canadians because most of this is their government's fault. It is the leading example of a failing society, which attracts the most obnoxious group of people from around the world. This is a complete political agenda.\n\nAll being said, even if they pay me I would never come to Canada.

Protesting in another country where you are a student is not allowed and the act itself can get you deported. However, the scams the Canadian colleges and universities do in countries like India and Pakistan is terrible. These students pay almost double the money local kids do. They r most times highly qualified and have availed of an opportunity offered by these institutes. When such things happen, its obvious that they are unhappy. I think the Indian government needs to start issuing advisory. I don't think its worth it, I wish people understood this. The US, Germany/Europe,UK even Australia is much different. Believe it or not, a lot of these students wish to pay back student loans and get out of this scam. Canada is beautiful, but the amount of scams here, prepostrous.

It's not the fault of the student's. They pay a lot to get here and they work in the service jobs that many young Canadians do not want to work in if we even have enough native born Canadians. They are victims of the greed of Post Secondary institutions and the mismanagement of the Trudeau government. Take a look at the open immigration policy for people coming from Iran, Syria and Morocco. Last time I looked Iran was not a friend yet we open the door to these countries. No vetting, no security and no age limit. 70 plus years old coming to Canada on Work Permits. This will affect our healthcare. Indian students paid and worked for their chance to live here. Take a look. Investigate the special programs for different countries in the middle east.

These so called students are frauds, the vast majority of them were enrolled into the scam colleges in Brampton so they could bypass immigration and come to Canada and work for Indian run companies (because those companies do not hire anyone not from India), these colleges offered MC diplomas that were absolutely garbage. Indians used these colleges to get more Indians into Canada and continue to take over our country.

Why dont you see these type of protests by Indian students in USA. The reason being private colleges in Canada very well know that these students are not here to study. But still these colleges and Visa officers alllow them to enter this country. Twenty yrs back when I came to Canada to study, student visa criteria was very strict. U of Calagry only accepted students from IITs (premiere Indian colleges/uni). Also out of campus work wasnt allowed. Now most of students from India who come here in one building colleges are here to work. Canada should stop out of campus work and the problem will be solved.

Hey most of the international students who come into the country join 2nd tier colleges and pay exorbitant amount of college tuition. (They can get better education in India than what they get in Canada for what they are paying and they joint shit colleges which no domestic applicant in their right mind would join), the only reason they pay that is so they can settle here and the government of Canada always made immigration policies that made it easy for international students to get a permanent residency so they can boost these shitty 2nd tier colleges who are not worthy. In my humble opinion to make it fair, I support tightening immigration laws that don’t encourage poor quality immigrants any further, but impose the law in such way it doesn’t encourage future immigrants by not impacting people who are already in the system and came due to this immigration hopes promoted by the government. (Indirectly through policies). You won’t find Indians doing menial Tim Hortons jobs in the USA, coz USA only gets and gives PR to Indian immigrants who add value to their country. I agree with you It’s not right for these students to stay, for that please also shut down your 2nd tier colleges where the domestic applicants are less than 70%. If they have no skills are attaining Canadian education should those colleges even exist ?

Every week in India a Christian pastor is killed. Plus, it common for family members kill anyone who converts to Christianity. They don't mix with our peaceful country in these kinds of numbers. Quality of the Indian crowd has deteriorated since I left Canada in 2017. Educated Indian people are leaving Canada because they are struggling to make ends meet due to lack of opportunity in Tech and many other fields. Do you think that they are going to work in odd jobs? On top of that they get these for free: extremely cold weather, lower wage and crazy inflation. Its good that people are exposing Canada and only crude, uneducated and raw Indian crowd that is coming and settling here. Your politicians and education system deserve to be blamed. Your colleges and universities betrayed International students who wanted to work in their own field of choice by promising them every possible help. Unfortunately most of the students realize this only after living there for a few years. By that time your universities and colleges have already gulped the money paid by the international students. They don't care if you die on streets or remain homeless or go back to your own country. STOP COMPLAINING.

Indians are future of ??. \nHow many Canadians anyone can name working as top leaders in top companies of this world. We are everywhere trying our best to shape the beautiful future of ours as well as of this country now. So better stop spreading hate towards us. You will regret later.

I am an Arab born, Indian citizen living in Canada as a permanent resident. Since I was born and brought up in an Arab country I am used to the Indian population immigration conquering thing ?

Indian here, I applied for a Canada PR and just missed the PR score cut off by a few points, I am from one of the top universities in India, have a computer science bachelors and masters in economics, I am opening my own tech startup here and would have loved to open it in Canada and drive Canada's GDP. \n\nBut you know who get the highest score for PR? Low skilled people who do fake degrees(which are so easy to get it is lame, by the way I can also do it, but it will spoil by education reputation). The immigration system of Canada is a joke, It treats all degrees, jobs and universities as equal. Best of all I was offered to pay $20k by someone to get a Canadian PR. Again I can pay that much but do I want to immigrate to a country whose citizenship is being sold this cheap?\n\nTrust me when I say it Canada is getting the most average and at times the worst people from India. Indian government though should thank Canada for taking all these low skilled people from India that send Canadian Dollars back to India. They take away the middle class jobs, housing, etc in Canada and worse for Canada send back money to India leading to pressure on Canadian currency and reserves.\n\nThe simplest solution is to halt whatever nonsense immigration policy Canada has and only allow three kinds of immigration, people who secure high paying jobs in recognised companies, entrepreneurs that get funding from investors Canadian government recognises and count university scores only from top tier universities. Finally make it super easy for these high skilled people and difficult for anyone else.

It’s unfortunate Canada supports the rest of the world’s problems. Donations of billions leave here . This should stop. Also Canada looses millions in transfers from immigrants sending cash back to their origins. \nAlso Canada supporting Ukraine in Europe is another plague here as billions of dollars leave and do not come back in return.\nBringing in Indian Khalistan supporters also hurts Canada in many corrupt ways of laundering and extortion and terror. \nThe country is good , so long as immigrants are vetted and correctly in line with Canadian society and culture.

i am from hamilton and we are still very diverse here. yes brampton is quiet loaded with indians. i think what has failed is the requirements for immigration has dropped. i mean we use to have highly educated people come in but now the standards have dropped. so anyone with low standards can come walk in. pubjabi votes for jagmeet or trudeau and they are the group with highest crimes in india the state of punjab and there is a big drug and drinking culture that comes here. the minute our standards grow up with immigration requirements then we will get more educated bunch coming in. when we have greedy power hungry people run the country this is what happens. now people are fed up. the other day i was at freshco and some white guys started to lecture me and he openly admitted he is a racist. i pulled out my camera and started to record. he backed off but he could have done anything. he rude and stupid. i was also quiet upset. people were not like this and were more accepting. i can understand his frustration but he said openly he was racist and called me Fxxxxxxx indian etc... this is out of line. i also gave him a mouth full. i told him i have been here 35 years and his mood changed but its quiet disappointing how people react. its not safe or respectful. not sure where we are headed in canada.

And you didn't mention any 'Canadian' born.\n\nThe Indians and the Guyana's started coming to Canada enmass after being kicked out of Ghana and Guyana for financial and business crimes.
