Well, not to worry...this world is about to change beyond the imagination...canada and the rest of the world will be living in abundance in the near future...no matter, I plan on leaving canada when things become better, and they WILL get better...but, for me, architecture is a major issue...the buildings/houses here look more like institutes and 'feel' cold; whereas some other places look more like what I love...Tartarian buildings...so I'm gonna be moving to a place that has more Tartarian buildings that are more welcoming and warm...just sayin... ✌✌

it's the immigration policy. It's changing the cultural landscape of the country and making it less friendly, less safe, and more stressful and competitive. People are too afraid of being called a racist or biggot and we're going broke because of it. I'm a resident of Canada for the past 40 years and I've seen the negative changes. It's not nearly as of high trust society as it used to be. It used to be quaint and free, now it's stressful and shitty.

Canada has sadly taken a hit. I say with no hate..... but we let too many people into our nation. The housing issue is one thing, but housing can be built. My sadness comes from the change in our Canadian culture. Canadians were always known to be nice people, polite and generous people but the more foreigners we let in, I see less friendly Canadians, less polite Canadians.... our culture is changing for the worse because of letting other cultures blend in.

I came here as an international student, back then you could only get your PR if you studied at an accredited university, not a career college. Back then skilled workers were required, and that is how you were able to get a PR. Canada has changed so much, multicultural has left and more and more there are two cultures dominating. I came here because I use to visit for our annual holidays then decide I liked the culture and wanted to study here. The landscape has shifted , Canadians will soon be the minority and that is not the Canada I want to be paying taxes in. \nThere are always protesters waving foreign flags demanding that the government help their families, love ones in another country, meanwhile Canadians here are loosing their homes , can't afford food, basic life necessities and living in tents. Charity should start at home first.\nResponsible tax payers cannot afford to have kids, why because the taxes we pay are too high, if we're struggling to survive why would we subject a child into this world to experience the same. However, there are millions of dollars in incentives for people who never paid in to come to Canada with their extended family members who are dependent on government support, that we the taxpayers have to finance. The aging population could be address if the affordability could be address for citizens living here and PAYING taxes. If the government wants to bring in aging populations who never worked in Canada, their families should be funding their living here including healthcare, not taxpayers. Invest in your people first , help Canadians become more skilled to fill positions that there are shortages, lower taxes to allow Canadians to have said families and replenish the population , these are the people who would always put Canada first.

Don’t listen to this alt-right propaganda. Canada is a great place to live. Like most nations we are struggling with our post COVID economic recovery. Health care and education are threatened and housing is growing more expensive. We are still struggling with something if a class war, woth boomers and the wealthy class mostly hoarding wealth and working very hard to avoid paying taxes. Meanwhile lower wage earners struggle with affordability. We have big issues work on, mainly by changing our policies from those that favour the rich to those that work for working class people. Don’t buy the right wing propaganda.

I think the best part about Canada that you can't find anywhere else is the people and the landscape. Everyone here is so friendly and willing to help their neighbor. I find when I travel, the world feels much colder than here. Unfortunately it's all these amazing people who are suffering to no fault of their own. I haven't been to a doctor since I moved to Quebec (Born and raised Albertan) and I think it's among the worst of the provinces in terms of healthcare and infrastructure and considering it's the highest taxes in all the provinces. Luckily in Quebec City though it's still very affordable (relative to the rest of the country) but the housing market is still getting expensive here very fast. in 2020 my friend bought an apartment for 300k and within 4 years it's easily almost doubled in value for no reason other than inflation in the market. I love this country but indeed things need to change

I mean there should be change in economic structure and policy making, canada can be seen a supporting super power and it is slowing its pace due to bad policy implications

I was a foreign student in Canada (35 years ago). My student visa required proof of ability to support myself. It never occurred to me that the Canadian taxpayer should support me. Apparently things have changed. A lot.

I live in Canada. I’m 29, and even in my short existence here, I’ve noticed the deterioration of many public services. \nThe decisions made during the pandemic will cause repercussions for decades. \nBig changes need to happen to allow my future grandkids to live in a great country. This lack of access to health care is a new thing. I agree with your assessment. It now seems lonelier in Toronto. \n\nCanada used to be different because anyone with a good job could afford at least a condo, but life became unaffordable not just for immigrants, but for everyone unless you are in your 50s-60s and own a home. \n\nI have friends working double jobs supporting family back home in other countries, but for some of them the family back home sound like they are doing better than them and own a home. It’s like they are sacrificing their life to be in poverty or full of hardships and their families get to go out for dinners and drinks with friends. Not them. Not true for everyone, but for some yes and I worry about their own retirement because retirement in Canada without lots of savings means you might be homeless or forced to live with family even if it’s not your preference. \n\n without investments and savings, it will be hard to beat inflation. Getting into debt and getting bad credit can mean not getting an apartment. \n\nThe birth rate is going down because it is expensive to have kids and income isn’t enough to match with living costs. Getting help from government is really not something everyone gets access too. One person might get housing support, 10 others may get nothing. Different governments offer different things. Programs end and change often. \n\nIn Canada definitely bargain and shop around for good phone plans. one idea is to get a pay as you go until “Black Friday” then every year or two when your good offer expires there will be many others. It’s the time with the best deals saving almost half. For instance, I have 50 gigs for $25 for two years from a large provider. Telephone companies are the one place where people must bargain and even ask for better deals as a must.\n\nThe people you see living in big houses, will have kids that can’t afford the same. This is because prices keep rising. The system protects the very rich, but will also drain the middle class often within 1-2 generations. Do not link your business to your personal finance, or creditors can take your home. Some not knowing this lose everything and rich people know better. \n\nPeople live until they are very old, so inheritance is pretty much meaningless to rely on, so no matter what your parents have you must hustle in life. \n\nI do think Canada can become what we want over time. Citizens need to fight the trend of great community spaces, restaurants and bars going out of business and dumb corporations move in with bad boring restaurants. Like a McDonald’s where maybe a popular cultural hang out was. \n\nPart of the problem is a lack of mixed income housing areas, so it’s hard to stay living where you grew up. Artists and musicians help make a city great, but many cannot afford to live here.\n\nFamilies and communities staying together means more support for those with young kids and older relatives when they need help. Yet how is this possible in a city that is always pushing out lower income people when wealthier people desire the area. \n\nIn Toronto, every time you move you have to take what is available and that might mean moving an hour away from everyone you know. This weakens communities. Plus, if you live too far from your work you will have no time to socialize for most the week due to travel time. \n\nI think those who grew up in Toronto do have a certain culture of acceptance with others from many cultures, because your friends at school were from all over. But with new migrants sometimes it isn’t until the second generation that their social circles get diverse. This can be isolating and it’s even isolating as those from Toronto eventually leave dreaming of staying in one spot and not forced to move constantly when a landlord investor sells every house you move into. \n\n\nToronto really needs to protect affordability of housing for at least some housing in every section so that people can save money if they live in the city, and not have to leave their communities and be far from their friends and family. \n\notherwise eventually people get sick of the hustle and it’s too tiring to travel 1+ hrs each way to visit someone during Monday to Friday. \n\n20 years ago any professional could at least buy a condo. Not today. There is too much competition now and investors are allowed to buy up all the most affordable housing that once was a pathway to owning a home. \n\nRich policy makers got greedy and destroyed canada and hopefully diversity in leadership will help make Canada better. But they perhaps people knew to Canada can reject this lonely structure and help us rebuild Toronto into an amazing place. \n\nWe need to make sure everyone can afford housing with 30% of their income. I think that will help

In my 60 years here in Canada I have never seen things this chaotic or confused or angry or bigoted. I am guilty of some of this myself and I am ashamed. I feel frustrated at the lack of opportunity and success that we used to have here in Canada. I have placed the blame on others, instead of on a government that has no direction or sense of how to do anything except raise taxes continually only to waste it, embezzle it, or allow it to be stripped from the country and taken to other countries. Corporations and criminal enterprises complete the triumvirate of evil, and turn us all against one another. I think we need a change in government, a healthy corporate tax rate, many more small businesses( that are not franchises ), and a return to making what is needed and supplying it for a fair and cheap price. No more billionaire money hoarders or corporate fat cats. None of us have benefitted from this system they created.

Everything in construction here in Canada is totally overregulated. Every few years new changes to the building codes make building and renovating more expensive. It's as if the authorities have decided that its now a privilege to have a decent place to live. This government is rotten to the core.

Great video man, Ive lived in Canada all my life and its really getting scary up here. The government has failed us and its the people who continue to vote Trudeau in office doing it to them. Arguably I think those who voted for him in 2021 again are no better than the party itself. We as a country desperately need change.

These are really dark days for Canada and Canadians under Justin Trudeau. But things will soon change.

IRCC has granted them visas: study permits, work permits, spousal permits. Once they completely stop granting these so easily, then we may talk about change. Someone or some people are profiting big time when a student comes here. They are just trying to survive, you can't blame them for that. Blame Canada's immigration policies. It's the Canadians that allow them in the first place.

Canada has changed a lot in the past decade. If I was a new immigrant after 2019 it wouldnt be easy for me to make canada home.

Until 2020 (pandemic), most lifelong Canadians would have proudly & quickly said Canada is a great place. For multiple generations (young & old). It still is in many ways. But like all countries, a bunch of things have made life more difficult lately. \n \nDuring the COVID lockdowns, many people went wild wanting to buy a house (urban & rural). Increasing demand and rising prices. Not long after, inflation caused mortgage rates especially to rise. Rent costs soared too. People interested in working in hospitals declined. Less doctors etc.. \n \nSimultaneously in Canada, the number of people coming by air, land and boat to claim asylum skyrocketed. For example, in 2023 alone, in just one region (Central Canada) around 400 people arrived per day (on average). Ditto for other populated provinces. Also the number of international students SKYROCKETED too. In 2023, averaging around 2,000 per day across Canada. Years 2021 and 2022 had high #s too. \n \nThe majority trying to migrate to Canada recently have been from South Asia. And it's become extremely obvious to Canadians. Even those that are very used to much diversity & many cultures. Plus neighborhoods now know that international students are using schooling as a 'back door' ticket to come to Canada for permanent residency. No one says it in public amongst strangers, but everyone knows because they've witnessed the extreme PR frenzy firsthand by now. To many Canadians it has felt like a tidal wave that has reached all cities and small towns, with a post secondary school. This extreme situation never existed prior to 4 years ago.\n \nHospitals have been hit with many wanting free healthcare. Less doctors/nurses etc., means greater waiting times. Plus a VERY SEVERE HOUSING CRISIS has occurred in many western countries including in Canada. In ways not seen in people's lifetimes. And if you do find a place to live its quite expensive. Including small basement rooms. \n \nNow westerners want the money greedy agents (pseudo smugglers) in other countries to stop marketing & LYING to their own people about access to PR or citizenship … or accommodation/jobs … being easy (to get). And for any greedy people living in western countries to be ashamed of themselves if they're hurting students. Anyone doing things to make $ off of people's PR desires. At best, there is a 25% chance of gaining PR (better odds if you are masters/medicine etc.). \n \nNot all players across the board have acted honestly over the years, i.e. contract marriages (IELTS spouse), anchor babies, fraud, false asylum claims. Canada has asked the India government to prevent “ghost consulting”. The new PRIVATE (non-public) colleges are being investigated (including looking for strong oversea ties). \n \nCanadians are meeting students who told Canada they have enough $, but it turns out they borrowed it (some borrowed it for the application process only). Canadian food banks and other CHARITY services have been recklessly advertised on YouTube (by India students in Indian language). Many transit services have launched stricter rules, i.e. lost monthly bus passes registered in your name are now never replaced (unlike before). \n \nThen this year throw in all the Palestinian vs Israeli angry protests happening regularly in cities. Plus the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortion mostly happening in Ontario and British Columbia. Plus the Canadian government also recently launched investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections. All stemming from Asia continent. Hate crimes have gone from rare to occasional (primarily South Asians against South Asians). \n \nCanadians are so so so so so not used to all this. So many, who have embraced multi-culturalism and immigration for decades are now VERY worried and fearful (due to all of the above). And all are praying it doesn't turn into great anger (like in the USA). \n \nCanadians want multi-culturism to succeed … and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Everyone I know is VERY happy with Canada Immigration's recent changes (reductions & investigations). Including multi-generational long-term Asian-Canadians where many have been the most upset (by all of this).

I am a old white man born and raised in Canada...our youth born in Canada don't give a crap about us old folks...then these young men and women that come to Canada for a education and residence show up from India...and bang in an instant I am noticed...do you know why because these young adults were raised to respect their elders...they are hard workers (some holding down three part time jobs) they pau their rent...they are polite and smart...with all this said they are also humans who have a limit. If they stay in Canada and contribute to our society here or go back to their own country using what they learned here to better off their communities in India...it doesn't change a thing...because they are so mature and i am proud that they call me a stranger UNCLE and exchange greetings to me all the time. I might not remember how to say their names but i am good with faces and i return the gestures willingly. It is true they have a hard time finding work that fits their educational title but they never give up and will work hard in any field with patience. I understand they are having a hard time but more Canadians should reach out and listen to them...they will teach you too. What a wonderful culture they bring to our country. To all the young Indian (Indus) women and men that come to Canada hold your heads up high and your parents should be proud of you.

Im seriously considering leaving Canada. I was born here, but its the not the same as it used to be. Rent and food prices have skyrocketed, theres massive drug abuse and homelessness issues, and the culture has changed completely. If I was Prime Minister. I would Ban the immigrant Visa program for the next 10 years. I would deport anyone who has overstayed there welcome (those with expired visas) or are here (illegally) and now (not documented) \n\nThat alone would take many out of the shelters, homes, rentals, streets that should not be in the Country anymore. Leaving the resources and the people who work and volunteer for those resources to help the Canadian people (which would be the prime reason for this) Canadians first ! \n\nI would cut the Carbon Tax. Lower the Property Tax. Put a cap on all Strata fees. Lower the deficit. \n\nBuild more Hospitals and treatment centers. Put a ban on drugs and safe injections (as we know there is no such thing) \n\nMake it mandatory for those in need due to drug and mental issues (that have been diagnosed with such) to go to treatment centers (while building more centre's and hiring qualified professionals workers) to stop the crisis. \n\nChange laws on crimes and the time and penalty behind them. Doubling and tripling the time served and raising bail fees by 50% to keep folks that have criminal pasts off the streets <---- for first time offenders. \n\nFor those that have multiple offenses. Quadruple the jail times and put bail amounts 100% more then what they are now. \n\nGive those that kill, ra*e, torture, (and things along that nature (the death penalty) \n\nI would remove the mandate for Electric Vehicles for Canada. Where only 1 vehicle per manufacturer would have to be Electric. So if somebody wants it. It's there but the majority would be. Gas / Diesel etc. \n\nI would build more housing / schools / retirement homes / hospitals / recreation centre's / Library and walk in Clinics. \n\nI would write a law that the roads in Canada must be fixed properly. Not just patched. \n\nI would raise the taxes on Multi Million and Billion Corporations and those that make $400.000 or more to pay a higher tax. While those that make less than $400.000 get taxed less. \n\nI would Lower the provincial taxes by 2% effective immediately and the Minimum wage across all provinces would be $17.75 an hour for full time workers (over 32 hours per week) with .25 cent yearly increases until 2030 to be reassessed. \n\nI would give Tax cuts to those who want to open businesses and build and sell Canadian Products to make sure Canadian Goods are affordable to make. Still have a profit to slow down overseas production creating more Canadian jobs for Canadian People. \n\nEvery Worker that works 24 hours or more weekly is getting Benefits making it mandatory for all types of business owners to make benefits available to the workers and ensuring the plan covers a minimum of 50% throughout the entire year. \n\nI would raise the pension to those who have worked 25+ years in Canada and remain in Canada as a retiree for a minimum of 6 months of the year 5% \n\nShrinkflation will stop. With major corporations getting fined if they don't smarten up and change the way the make and package goods. \n\nI would put a cap on Car insurance for those that have never been in an accident before and lowering the monthly cost by 10% \n\nCondo sizes would have to increase the square footages by a minimum of 10% of the national average to make sure that there is enough room and peaceful environment for those that live in those spaces. \n\nI would ban that you would have to pay additional for parking at every Rental property including lockers, that the property owners purchased during pre construction as well as lower the public parking costs nation wide in parking garages by 20% and cap it. \n\nI would Lower transit costs nation wide by 20% and cap it. \n\nI would bring back texts books and paper to schools so kids read more. Write more. Understand more. Learn more for those in grade 8 and under. \n\nI would ban every Pride event in Canada and charge people fines if they hang rainbow colored Canadian flags anywhere on any property including ban clothing with those colors on the Canadian Flags immediately. Failure to do so would also Ban same sex marriage the following year on the same date that the first ban was made if Failure to comply. \n\nI would ban any book or literature for kids that is LGQTB written. \n\n& that is just the beginning.

Canada is still the easiest and cheapest to for international students to enter. Most of my friends are indian international students and although its been all over the news over there that canada isnt a good place to live anymore people still go for canada because its easiest. Hopefully something changes because this has been my home most of my life.

I hear a lot of the same, too many immigrants, but we've always had immigrants coming in, majority of people in Canada are immigrants ever since 1960s policy changes. The problem with allowing immigrants in NOW is that we don't have jobs and we aren't producing anything to give immigrants real jobs. A lot of companies are folding in Canada or mass layoffs. We aren't creating wealth. And the institutions are solely relying on Immigrants to keep their schools profitable. It's a vicious cycle that was working, but now that the house of cards are falling, there is no way to clean it up, without a complete reform.

It is very interesting to observe how demographics have changed over the decades.When I first arrived in Canada in 1972 (51 years ago), the Indians were almost invisible, it would be an extraordinary sight to see one. Now, they are all over the place and there is no housing by the way. But yes, it's the student visas that have saturated the system and now the inept government is scrambling to find solutions to the housing problem that has ballooned. I get CPP and old age pension but have to continue working due to the high cost of living, it is ridiculous.

Trudeau and the Liberals have made so many major mistakes. It is time for a major change in Canada. A number of changes need to be made. Including putting a cap on all immigration, until everything can be balanced again. Along with eliminating our carbon tax. All of these choices are making things unsustainable within our economy, and higher inflation for everyone. Our current administration is out of control. People wake up and see what is happening around you!

What editor for the reputable BBC would even sign off on such a direction? \n\nYES it’s normal to see a drop in citizen application when the government made it much more difficult for permanent residents to do so. There was an intent there to naturally filter out what had become a burden on government funds and resources. I’m sorry but if you are living in Canada’s largest city [Toronto], don’t be shocked that cost of living is ridiculously expensive. The same will apply to every other western nations largest city. And yes Canada’s second largest city [Montreal] is ridiculously cheap, but good luck trying to get in when you not only need the Canadian federal governments approval for citizenship but the Quebec provincial governments as well where fluency in the French language is now a requirement. \n\nAt the end of the day, your education abroad provided you with tools and resources that helped implement your vision. It allowed you recognize the changing dynamic of the global economy, the bygone era of easy opportunity and progress in the western world and the significant leaps and growth that your own “developing” nation has made, allowing you to easily break into your own market with much success than struggle surrounded by red tape, by laws, bureaucracy, expenses and competition while balancing yourself in a culture with societal norms and customs that are unfamiliar and new to you.

This interview completely misses the point by interviewing the “wrong” immigrant. Immigrants to Canada leave for the U.S. because Canada prefers “high value” immigrants (e.g., physicians, engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs with excellent track records, occupations that are expensive to train and/or individually contribute a lot to the GDP) that the U.S. would also like to attract. Not only can many of these people make more money in the U.S., but they often encounter more help and/or less restrictions with professional licenses (e.g., most states have an industrial exemption for engineers, and do a better job at helping foreign doctors and nurses get their licenses to practice medicine). How many times have we heard of a foreign professional reduced to driving a taxi or becoming a housewife when they move to Canada because an immigration official didn’t properly inform the immigrant of the hoops they would have to jump through, and the provincial professional association offered minimal, if any, assistance? \n\nThis PhD student (and others with more academic than lucrative educations) may think he’ll have it made moving to the US but I think he overestimates his value. The small liberal arts colleges that may have hired someone with his background are decreasing in number or changing to a more technical focus (usually to computer science because it doesn’t require expensive labs needed in medicine or engineering). American students are now more critically examining what degrees, if any at all, will lead to better paying careers, and I doubt Myanmar is on their radar as a money-making opportunity.

These jobs should be for Citizens of Canada no matter what your age or STATUS is. Citizens who are rejected for employment by PR, student visa, etc needs to change immediately!

Leaving Canada??? Are you kidding me? If all these disillusioned immigrants are leaving, then why do us born and raised Canadians see every major city of ours being overtaken over by these immigrants, specifically the South and east Asian variety, in every single one of them? Here is statistic for you on one of them.....more than 75% of the people who live in Toronto, are from another country!! 75%, and Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, and every other big city we have are catching up to that percentage as we speak. I laugh my ass off when I when I see a tiny minority group like yours claiming that immigrants are leaving at a rapid pace. I suppose though it might appear that way to you if you were not born here to begin with and witnessed the massive change in our immigrant population over the past 30 years like us born and raised Canadians have. Dont get me wrong either. I am all for immigration and know how necessary they are to our successful economy and I do feel for the ones that try to make a decent living here but get pushed out for whatever reason, but to say that there is alot of immigrants leaving is simply not true by any measureable standard or why are there so many of you everywhere? Something isnt making any sense here and I know its not coming from us born and raised Canadians either!

I am shocked to learn that people coming on Tourist visa (from developing countries) to Canada can apply for Job here and once hired can change visa status while in Canada. Never have I ever heard about this while staying in UK on work permit for 4 years that UKBA /Home Office has ever approved such low quality visa that Trudeau is flexible about. Neither Harper's/Kenney's administration (under which I immigrated to Canada back in 2014) has ever approved such cockamamie change of visa status. This is unfair to those who paid all legal fees/been working hard and never relied on the benefits proposed by the Canadian..yikes!Turdo has made Canada into a 3rd world dump...

When campaigning Sockboy said he was going to change Canada...and hated old stock Canadians...Canadians as usual were fixated by bs, his looks, legalizing weed etc....deserve everything that has happened....further, Canadians don't have the balls to correct things nor take him to task..

I have struggled with dissatisfaction with my immigration to Canada for 20 years. After so long, I have grown roots in this country and am to old to move elsewhere. But I would like to suggest to all those who are unhappy with their immigration project in Canada: Even though it is difficult, do not wait for too long, hoping that a positive change will come. There are so many oportunities that you can capitalize on in other countries, especially Russia ...

Sadly, Canada is not longer the country it used to be! \nAffordability is a huge factor, plus the difficulty to enter the job force or find a good job (not only in academia in every field) which so necessary to pay for housing, food etc\nBut also the social and cultural changes has been huge in the past decade. \nAs we see the decline in USA, we can see Canada is following closely and in some areas, we are doing worse.\n20+ years ago Canada have quality of life, that has dropped drastically in every area health services, schools, security, transportation, housing, infrastructure etc. although we pay higher taxes than other countries we do not have the same services.\nLaws restricting liberties and going to the extreme on protecting and impossing other ideologes erosion of freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, freedom of religion etc. \nOn top all that is the huge public debt, lack of transparency, abuse in the spending of many politicians, and corruption.\nAll together has turned living in Canada less disarable for many immigrants and also nationals. Many Canadian are choosing to live abroad or retire abroad.

Shut the door asap toward immigrants with no money from poor countries, unless some investment for Canadian economy. Canada is changed. It cant act like a rich brother for refugees or people from poor countries. World is changed.

My parents immigrated to Canada years ago and had a completely different experience. It's kinda sad to see how things have changed.

The worst mistake is thinking that you are coming to Canada to live the life you had in your previous country instead of starting a new life in Canada.\n\nYou have to adapt to Canada. Canada is not going to change for you.

Very High Inflation\nVery Low Salaries\nImmigrants treated as second class citizens\nVery very difficult to find job to match your career choices\nUsually end up working menial jobs and not getting raise\nSky high rent and living expenses\nVery high stress in jobs\nHigh rascism and non acceptance\nFeeling guilty because your peers in home country are getting way ahead in life and career and financially whereas you get stuck in this trap as a labourer made my life changing decision to move back to my home country and lead a peacefull life, my friends and peers are way ahead in life but, it is well worth it. I will catch up with them someday hopefully. To all those who are watching this video, it is not worth moving to Canada. It is a trap.

I know a lot of people who are going back now. People who came with a PR and have an average yearly income of 190000 cad. \n\nIndia is growing at a higher rate than Canada. Standard of live used to be better in Canada but now with high cost of living, that is changing. Medical facilities are in doldrums in which India excels. Canada needs to rethink about their policies else more educated people are gonna leave. \n\nI would rather buy a flat in Mumbai than Canada at this point.

The man interviewed at the end is why our son left the country for Europe after graduating from Queens. Canadians are addicted to immigration to stay relevant in a way not seen in other countries. There's a smug quality to it all. Oh how wonderful and accepting are we - in contrast to those Trump people to the south. Here in Halifax the changes are both stunning and alienating as the premier seeks to double the province's population by 2060. My family and I immigrated from the U.S. 20 years ago, and I doubt any of us will remain here much longer. Living in Canada has made me realize how Canadian I am not. I actually stand for something. Canada's future is mass immigration and digging things out of the ground and selling them to China and the US.
