I guess I’ll be having to move to the US if I want any chance of getting housing or work. People who haven’t physically seen the stuff that’s happening here only know the bare minimum. Everything is too expensive, there’s no “Canadian culture” anymore, you can’t get a job, you can’t find a decently priced apartment, rooms for rent (private) are going for 1200$ a month in Toronto (and I’ve seen more expensive). I’m not excited to grow old in the country where I was born as it’s being run straight to the ground. It’s very sad.

This is great Canada. I'm so happy you are finally stopping the influx of usage to the Canadian citizens. These people coming into our countries must fight in their own countries to fix their own problems instead of using us all. The world is now over populated. We don't need more polluting, drawing, destroying, and over breeding.

I understand different parts of the world has things I’m born Canadian as far as my family and millennia and Canada were third generation here in Canada with Caribbean European and American descent all that being said I don’t care how people comes to Canada ?? but we should get the best of the best and I feel like Since they have a job since I work with the airline, why can’t they just apply for a transfer? Ridiculous, 2nd biggest country in the fkin world and it has population problems. Is it the immigrants' fault? Or something else behind this? I'm an immigrant from Vietnam. Am I part of the problem? I've worked my ass off in this country, paid insane amounts of taxes. Do I not deserve a place? I came here alone, not with a village. But some people are doing that and causing major damage. And I get bunched up with them and have to suffer the problems I did not cause.

I’m an immigrant we came in 1982 , but the problem now is a lot of people here don’t want to integrate with Canadian society and want instead bring their own beliefs. Part of being an immigrant is to assimilate into the culture and not be an outsider. To me Canada is home , this is where I met my wife and my children are born. But you have to work for it because nothing is free. The key word is to become one of us , to become Canadian ??

The final scene at the new Canadians rally is nice to see. But what you’re not seeing are the THOUSANDS of people who aren’t success stories. People who bring nothing to the party but still need a place to live. I’m fine with immigration, I think Canada is a better place for being diverse. But you can’t just keep the tap on when the glass is already full. We need to turn off the immigration spigot for a while, catch up to get our services and housing to a level that is workable, then look at turning it back on with a smarter outlook on the numbers to bring in.

While that’s an insane amount to be behind and still living there, this wouldn’t happen as often if we fixed the damn housing crisis. Yes you will always have bad apples but I’m sure a lot of the people in similar situations are actually good people that are struggling to live and have got themselves into a bad situation. Not everyone has family to fall back on if they get evicted. I’m not saying that’s the case here either she could be a complete criminal taking advantage of the system but be easier to weed those people out if there wasn’t a housing crisis.

Because I live in Atlanta and my son is homeless in Charlotte and he was homeless in Atlanta and all I see are homeless people lying all over the streets! I'm sure they've asked for housing but they're not getting any! What the f*** is going on!!!! I’m a landlord been one for 10 years. Your screening and vetting process has to be A1 and don’t be so hungry for the down payment. Interview and ask the tenant many questions before the get the keys. I’m a firm believer though people know which landlord to do this to. Can’t show no sign of weakness.

I always thought we should pay Mexicans to stay in Mexico and make Mexico great. Instead of us paying for everything under the sun for them in dollars, we could have paid them in pesos to build housing, rec centers, community centers, churches, hospitals, roads, etc .. .. Last time I checked Mexicans can’t enter without a visa Canada your material is very wrong on that. I’m not understanding your statement that people are coming by bus from Canada to the US. They will get stopped at the border and be asked for documents to enter- I’m not understanding the bus schemes you are talking about! Can you explain to us how are they crossing the border with the bus? Generally if you cross the territory of another country none can stop you from using the transportation available in that country the drivers are not in the wrong here and are not obligated to check the passengers for a visa. It’s not like they are crossing the border with their vehicles. Your material is a bit BS.

If housing, jobs, healthcare, and education are not adequately addressed, people can become hopeless and susceptible to manipulation by far right extremist groups. Wow never know about this. Absolutely crazy this is allowed to go on. So many of us including me are living on the edge barely scraping by, and now we’re being flooded by new people who will take all the cheaper housing. Not there is any cheap housing. And sleeping in your vehicle is now being banned all over because of all the unhoused, which really puts a damper on traveling in an RV or van. My friends think this was all a grand scheme, and I’m not sure that they are wrong.

Most people realize this has nothing to do with a persons race. Its population size. When you increase population size drastically it effects infrasture when government dont invest x amount of dollars into system. You have to plan. Look at our housing market. SUPPLY AND DEMAND ISSUES. When you increase population size and there's not enough homes to house people that only increases the costs. Whats going on is suicide to alot of people. Also media does not want to report why Liberal government has 4x increased immigration in a yr span compared to 1x. Also why is there racial preference for India? The amount of immigration coming in from India is much higher then other races. I'm curious about that.

Thanks to immigrants Canada has survived this long. Immigrants bring in much needed dollars and skills that locals don’t have. Further, immigrants are the hard working people unlike the ‘locals’ who rather than work two jobs to make ends meet, sit back and complain how bad things are. \nIf you haven’t guessed, I’m an immigrant too and have been in Canada for the past 24 years. I have contributed to the coffers and have not taken any money out from it for the past 24 years!

I'm an immigrant to Canada. I've been here for 35 years (came here when I was 6). The current immigration/migration/ayslum seeker rates have gone completely insane. It isn't racist to think it's gone overboard. I went to very very multicultural schools. I grew up in Toronto and have lived downtown for 20 years now. I love our multiculturalism but there are limits to immigration if there simply isn't an infrastructure to support countless hundreds of thousands of people trying to move into the city each year. It's not sustainable at all. The roads aren't getting bigger, the housing zoning isn't getting easier, new hospitals aren't being built. You cannot try and cram 4 million people in a city built for like 2 million people. People moving to Canada simply do not realize just how absurdly expensive this place has become. What's the better alternative being poor in India or being poor in Canada? Because unless you are making 100k a year you are going to basically be poor in Toronto.\n\nThe big big difference as someone who has lived downtown Toronto for 20 years is now the homeless are very multicultural. 10 years ago it wasn't like that as much. Now people from every race and every background are at risk of homelessness. It's a rate race, it's a very competitive city for housing and jobs and as soon as you aren't in making $$$$$ you will fall behind.

I'm American. Europe is tired of African and Muslim migrants. There is a backlash against them in Europe. The USA is getting their as well in Americans wanting the borders shut. Fighting for your own nation is best. Bangladesh students just ran out their leader through protest. Millions of poor people going to Western nations isnt feasible long-term. The problem with some of the immigration is that some forget the values and ethics! I was offered a scholarship from my university (a top ranking public university) I know several of my Indian colleagues who came to study & now work in universities & firms. I know educated people who came here from SL, India & other South Asian countries who came to study with the genuine purpose of studying & now pursuing PhDs here & elsewhere. I understand how concerned the whole immigration issue is for Canadians & new commers like us. I’ve always loved to study in Canada & now that I’m here just to see all these negative sides is truly heartbreaking. I was able to secure a decent apartment & decent job (both me & my husband)& so are my friends & colleagues. I love Canada & means no harm. I’d love to use my knowledge & serve developing countries like mine one day. I kindly request anyone reading my comment, please don’t judge. Why don't the president of Mexico stop this??? I'll tell you why, or what Mexicans man told me. He said, Biden ask him to stop these people from coming to Mexico then coming here. He said he could, but would not until Americans agreed to give each Latin country in the world 2 million dollars every year or every year. The problem is the type of people the government is bringing in. I'm an immigrant myself, living here for 20 years, and I remember the ton of paperwork I had to submit to prove I'm worth contributing to Canada's growth and economy. Today the government is only interested in bringing in criminals, refugees, low quality - low wage workers who won't contribute a dime to Canada's economy but become a burden on taxpayers. This mindless immigration has now caused exponential increase in crime, and poor productivity in Canada's economy. Canada under JT is not the Canada I came for, and the Canada I knew when I first landed here.

I’m an immigrant from Europe, who’s been in Toronto for a decade and all I can say is that if this is going to continue to happen, I’ll be the first out of the country in the next couple of years as it’s unsustainable to continue bringing more people from others countries and specially from non western countries as it seems difficult for some to adopt Canadian values. Canada is going down the hill at an unprecedented pace.
