same in USA except no minimum paid vacation maybe 5 days to 2 weeks max and for some companies none at all..if tou take a vacation you dont get paid...aside from the weather, better tax treatment in certain US states(I live in Florida) and people are friendlier in the US..healthcare is mafia run very unaffordable so you must have insurance and even then its very expensive...every system has its weaknesses..ideally work in US get paid in US dollars and spend summer and autumn in Canada...then theres double taxation so you want to make sure you are in a position where you make you money in the States so you dont get taxed from Canada as well

Very good video. I am an Australian citizen, and I share your views. Also I want to add another reason why I prefer Canada than Australia. Being originally from Peru, I currently live in Peru, my wife is also Peruvian and a baby with 5 month at the time of writing, however there is no family reunion visa to take my whole family (only my baby who will hold Australian citizenship but not my wife) so I cannot take them both, because migrations force my wife to apply to the Partner Visa, that cost AU$7850 (US$5,600) plus agent fees, documents, ticket price, and other cost. Also the waiting period is about 24 to 28 months. So if I return to Australia, I first need to find a job, then save the $5,600, send and amount of money to Peru during my absence, then wait about 2 years and spend about $10,000 to $15,000 extra to bring my family to Australia. The cost of waiting carries a lot of anxiety, health issued due to the uncertainty and may damage my marriage, And if I get to my wife a Visitor visa, she is not allowed to work and study, and I must pay private insurance, and for experience, private insurance policies and gap costs are very high. Of course visiting my family every 6 months is costly and timely prohibited, an economic flight from Australia to Peru costs about US$2,500 and takes about 1 day or 38 hours, add also the jet lag and day difference.\nIn contrast, Canada allows me to take my whole family in just 3 months, my wife can get a working visa, and if we decided to reunite in 6 o 9 month, I can go to Peru every long weekend to visit my family, a flight from Toronto to Lima is about $500 return and only 8 hours so I can go to Peru and come back to Canada in a long weeked, a luxury imposible to do if I lived in Australia. \nWhen my father passed away here in Lima, I was in Australia at university, and due to cost and time, I couldn't go to give him a farewell and to his funeral, a issue that regretted; for that reason, my mother-in-law, who needs care and being my wife, her only child, after facing my own experience, we decided that Canada and not Australia, is a better choice, if something happens with my in-law, from Canada my wife can see her quickly.\nThank you for sharing in this video

One of the top issues is being black. Seen as black and identified as black when you leave a predominantly Black Country. \nWhen I watch the various Realestate shows of white people buying property abroad as second home or just packing up and moving. I always say it must be nice! I have always wondered about this. You look at literally any other continent in the world and you see many people out on the streets hustling and bustling. Especially here in Pakistan, everything is always alive. But whenever I look at the U.S or Canada on Google Maps, I always get this strange lonely feeling. Why are the streets always so empty? I have often thought that despite the endless amount of celebrities and YouTubers, journalists etc. who are always noisy on the news and social media, and portray a very lively image of North America, I really felt that the situation of the common man is quite different. The common man of North America must not think that their neighborhoods being this lonely and empty is normal. After watching this video, that belief of mine has been validated.

In Toronto the social landscape is very much enriched by the immigrants who have come in waves over the last 70 years. Ive lived in Canada for 51 years .there has always been a job for me in all the 4 western provinces when i have asked for work.You must be flexible and possibly travel long distances to work between cities.people are friendly and willing to help .Some friends i know go home every few years and visit their Dr.then. many others have only been to the eye Dr.and dentist .A good healthy life in the North and all the freedom one needs .Eat fish and wild meat and all the berries and mushrooms you can pick.Doctors have been available when needed.Things in Northern Canada are expensive! Everything! Plan everything you do as weather can be a problem unless you are prepared.Ive often thot of moving back home but after a visit each time i have felt that i did not have the freedom of space and the wiggle room to do as you please on your own property.Cheers!

Not sure where you ladies migrated from but the healthcare in Canada is terrible for a country that calls itself wealthy! What is more important in life than health and getting timely access to services. I have had to wait 6 months for a simple ultrasound, my friends had to wait a year for an MRI, more than a year to see a specialist of any kind. Not only that the administration procedures are backward where they send an appointment letter by Canada Post (not kidding). \nTaxes are extremely high! I know doctors who make decent money pay close to 55% of their salary in taxes. Housing in Toronto and Vancouver is sky high and you may be working all your life to afford a 2BR condo. \nMy advice is unless you are coming from a country that is down right terrible (Eastern European, Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc.), it is better to stay home. Additionally, if you think you will ever get rich in Canada, then you must get your head examined by a neurologist first.

Canada sounds almost similar to Australia, everything is also getting very expensive here with taxes as high as 45% depending on your income (32% for low income). Fortunately job opportunities are not as bad as long as you are skilled and can speak English fluently, the company doesn’t care if you were native or foreign. This however offset with the high level requirement one must meet in order to gain Permanent Residency. It’s not as easy as in Canada.

I live in Huntsville, Alabama the rocket city!!! ?, although I visit my family that still lives in Winnipeg which is my brother among others and friends I grew up with. My personal opinion after living in Canada for 10 years and I do not plan to move, is that these points are valid, but it is part of the research that each person must do before moving to any country. Much of this information is available and the government encourages you to know the country well before applying / moving. \nThis not only happens in Canada, but in general they are matters of personal taste. \nCurrently the job market is very good and there are plenty of offers. \nIf you are looking for money, Canada is not the place, but overall it is a very good place.

I don’t agree with Quebec as a whole being up so high on the list. They have their own tax and medical system , much higher cost. You must have your children in a unilingual French School unless you have substantial proof that they have a solid English background. English speakers for the most part are ostracized in most of Quebec except some areas of Montreal. All government work places speak only French and there are no English rights in Quebec unless you work for the government of Canada and then good luck getting a job in Quebec as they are designated a unilingual French language speaking province for Canadian government jobs and you won’t qualify unless you speak and read and write French. All signage is restricted to French and the province doesn’t follow any international standards. Even the air traffic controllers only speak French which is why most major airlines don’t fly into Quebec as the standard of language for them is English world wide except Quebec. They have different road rules, tax legislation and pension than the rest of Canada. Wouldn’t want to live there myself. I have a sister in Montreal. Don’t know why she stays.

Ranking Quebec above PEI is a crime. This is coming from an Ontarian who has travelled to the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic on a motorcycle. I have seen nearly all of Canada. Yukon, BC, Alberta, Sask, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and PEI. Trust me there are many provinces that are better than Quebec. \n\nI have been all over BC and I must say BC is the most aesthetic province. When I was travelling and camping there it made me question why people willingly live in places like Toronto... you are spending the same $$$ for rent or mortgage except in BC you get the view of the Rockies.

I agree with everything you have said in this video. I've lived in Canada for over 10 years and must admit, i don't feel at home here at all. I feel Canada is overrated for no reason. House prices are insane, it's almost impossible to buy housing in any big city in Canada anymore. I agree with a lot ppl, the healthcare system here is poorly managed, with long waiting hours if you have an emergency (personal experience). As someone living in a big city in Ontario, it feels like everyone is just busy chasing money. Nobody has time for friends, chilling, etc...Sometimes i feel i have to book an appointment with my own friends if i want them to hang out with them. As an immigrant myself, i must say I hate the mass-immigrant policy that the government is pushing. The neighbourhood i live in, has changed face/demographics so many times... Every group sticks to their own and it feels you'll never be able to adapt as it keeps changing so fast... Pretty good Adam I'd just mention a few of those things are...I don't want to say inaccurate but way more diverse. For instance French. Yes Quebec is the only French province BUT New Brunswick is the only Bilingual province and basically half and half. This is good for things like federal of provincial services because by law they must provide service in both languages but not so basically everywhere else. The problem with this is you can have an almost completely English town almost nobody speaks French and drive 15 minutes and be in a town where nobody speaks English. Research on this might be hard because a town with a French name may not have any French people in and vise versa. Also this problem is multiplied in the fact that if you Do want a French area we don't speak standard French or Quebecois but instead Le Chiac which is a difficult and confusing mix of old French and english (almost exactly like the Cajun dialect). Second part of this is that Montreal is easy to live in if you don't speak French and is so multicultural you are just apt to hear Swahili as French in public. Last part is be very careful where you move on the prairies as they have may isolated towns some that speak French also. Next is tipping I've never had to tip anyone for a haircut outside of the military and all other forms of tipping here on the east coast are purely optional and wait staff don't get upset if you don't leave a tip unless you were a jerk or left them extra work like making a big mess (I worked as cook for a while after I got out of the army and I rarely ever head staff complain) HOWEVER....tip a waitress well and she might accidentally give you 2 pieces of pie lol and tip a taxi driver well and he will not only get you the cheapest fare he will find ANYTHING you may need no questions asked. Lastly on the nice thing....we are nice for sure especially compared to our southern neighbours BUT there is a lot of passive aggressive nice that happens and this also varies greatly. For instance as a city boy of course you answered the way you did but a guy who have lived all over this country in big and small, French and English places who now has retired to a rural town I can say I find the cities quite snobby and the French and the English can be quite snobby to each other and where I live now if you asked a random stranger for 5$ chances are you would get it also driving down the road people you don't know will just wave at you as if you were the closest friends. Canada is certainly a weird place so many extremes and my advice to anyone wanting to move here is do your research and then visit and travel a bit if possible because even us Canadians can be surprised by thing or two across this gigantic country

The reason people leave Canada within first 20 years is they do not have sizable retirement fund to enjoy comfortable retirement life after retirement. The reason half of that leave within 1 year is they cannot afford to live decently here until they find a job in their field or it takes many years before they start making a professional career and seeing the plight of immigrants of their community struggling in menial low paying jobs living in dorm rooms. These two ladies seems from east european backgrounds, these people have comparatively better prospects in Canada than immigrants from Asia or Africa. The reason skin colors make lot of difference. The reality is Canadian government is trying to do everything it can to create opportunities for all immigrants but unable due to racist white people. Just giving a job to immigrant is not enough, they must be able to sustain those jobs for reasonable periods of time. This is where Canada ls lagging. This is clear proof, Racism is very high in Canada. Just the valid proof is these two ladies open an channel and got 180K views within 3 months, they probably make lot of money on this channel. This is Canada. If they really have much productive jobs they will not do this.

One must get all the information ( which is available in public domain ) before landing the proposed country. I know some guys, who landed Canada after their Graduation and for their Master's degree. They r ok now. They are all Academically qualified from their native country and higher education from Canada. All of them are working now and leading a good life there. All the professionals who've very good academic background, should undergo some type of higher education there in Canada. Other wise doctors / engineers may end up their life as taxi drivers / gardener... etc. Get thorough knowledge about the country where one has to go., study there and get well placed and live happily ever after. - From own experience -

I know Canada is not perfect and I find you’re a bit hard on the red maple leaf... just because you don’t find the same things as your native country. It’s like\nfrench people coming from France, going to Quebec province an complaining about the food, the weather etc... well we’re not France, sorry to say! But I can\ntry to understand your situation; it’s probably inevitable that the comparison between your country and Canada would show up eventually. I see regularly \nimmigrants moving here and it’s true that it’s not easy. (Some people will have to be cab drivers because they can’t find work in their field). But you have\nopportunities if you work hard. I have the example of a Russian truck driver who move here with his family (wife, two kids). The man started by working for\na general transport company, then was able to buy his own truck. Now he’s able to work with whoever he wants. So I think every experience is different.\nOne other thing I noticed is that for families coming here it will always be easier for kids (even teens) to adapt quicker then their parents. I live in the east\n(the maritimes) and there is not very large cities. Some immigrants that come here will stay for a while but then they would move to a larger city (like\nToronto) because that city must have the most ethnic diversity in Canada. For cultural differences true that Canadians are like Americans in the «none»\nfashion trending. It’s a different mentality then Europe because over there fashion is a statement; you are judge on your appearance. Here, not as much.\nIt shows you don’t like winter and if you don’t your not a real Canadian! :-) Don’t generalize, a lot of people here like winter. And for taxes I don’t have a clear\nexplanation other then we have a huge empty country that needs roads, infrastructures, etc. and someone has to pay for it! (fun fact, all the population\nof Canada could fit in a country like Poland... it shows how empty it is here). Finally, and I heard this many times, maybe the people or the part of the\ngovernment to blame is Immigration Canada. Maybe they give to much of an idealistic image of Canada! Canada is a country of immigrants, which means people who are, in my humble opinion, mostly quite self-centered and expecting the world from others, which never happens! Canada demands a gigantic capacity to adapt, to adjust and, in a word, to change...completely! You must be totally willing to leave everything behind if you want to integrate into Canadian society and this is extremely hard to do! Moreover, most immigrants come to Canada because they expect that country to give them a life of luxury or at least a very easy life, which can be true, as compared to certain other countries where life can be hell because of corruption, poverty or mismanagement and dictatorship. Now, don't fool yourself, you will find all of this in Canada too, in a very different way, although not always that different, but you will find it to a certain extent, depending on what you are trying to do here! Canada pretends to be a free and democratic country, but if there is one thing, that you are not supposed to do in Canada without dire consequences and reactions from most Canadians, it is criticism and voicing dissent! You will face repression too! I am 67 and I have lived in this country for over 30 years and now have lots of health problems, which I would probably never have had in another country, all this because of the frigging climate here...I just hate it here! And yes, don't be cultured and...play stupid and ignorant, otherwise you will face automatic rejection and that same stupidity and ignorance! A country of many cultures...yes, but also of deep rooted prejudices and intolerance! And if there is something that never changes in Canada, it is change! They expect you to change, but they never change themselves! in a word...Canada is a country like all others, no better and often far worse!
