It's not so much the Indians themselves, but the amount of them coming in. No time to /or want to assimilate, there's a serious job and housing crunch...it's simply too much, too fast. Couple that with protests demanding they stay isn't really kosher either. Pretty sure no one in any country would like this being brought to their doorstep, especially when the average citizen wasn't even consulted on this mass immigration policy. I remember a few Indian immigrant families during the 70s to 90s and they were very respectful nice families in our community. But now in 2017-2024 all these immigrants from Punjab are always very rude to me at my workplace. The women never say hello to me (I am a white female) and they just walk by me arrogantly or look down and away. They're always gossiping with each otger and wasting time at work. In a racist way while I'm at work I overheard one woman calling me and other white people my brother and sister while laughing. Even the men are always gossiping and this makes the men look feminine because gossiping is usually a feminine issue in the west, and gossiping Indian men now all look very un-masculune to me.\nI notice at work Indians will only help other Indians. They seem self absorbed about themselves and act very entitled, and lazy, they always seem to be wanting to be superior in some way, Overall, 100% I have not had a good experience wuth Indians wirking in the Canaduan workforce. They are not nice to work with and actually have made the Canadian workplace wirk ethic very degraded.

I;m Indian and I love Canada though I have never been there - let me tell you what you did wrong. Canada let in 100,000 fake students mainly from Punjab, Haryana & Delhi. They are not students, they just want an easy way into Canada, get PR and then citizenship. They can't speak much English and they don't care. They want to spread as much as they can. There are fraud agencies in these areas of India that help them get fake documents and fake IELTS scores that get them to Ontario and join some two bit college in the province. And I have to say that there seems to be a huge bias in India as well as it seems in your government in letting Punjabis migrate freely, while the rest of us have to prove ourselves.\nI'm happy that Canada is toughening up but get rid of the fake ones that have already seeped in. Thanks Mr. Trudeau; I live in a small NS community that's in truth overrun with East Indian students within the past five years. Our own young people couldn't buy a job here if they wanted one, the East Indians scooped up everything. If you go to any store here it's like we're in India; almost all the employees and shoppers are East Indian, none speaking English which is our language here. Most people here are not comfortable going into our own stores, in our own community anymore. This is not racisim, it's common sense; it's just not a reasonable situation that's been put upon the people here.

Living in Ontario and visiting BC many times I have notice more and more elderly Indian individuals. I been to hospitals in both province's and I see more then ever elderly Indians requesting health care. I wonder to myself how many years have these elderly Indians pay into the health care system. I don't want anyone without care but those who have worked in this country for 50yrs have paid into the system. So is it right that those who have paid into the system have to wait for care do to ones who haven't paid into the system?

In Surrey BC there is a shooting carried out by Indian gangs almost everyday. There is also a massive influx of Indians who simply make zero effort to learn the common language of this country: English. I am a 2nd generation Indian-Canadian, and even I struggle to communicate with these new migrants from India. If you want to come to this country that embraced me and my family as one of their own, you need to accept and embrace their culture and not try to replace it. \n\nAs an Indian Canadian citizen, I fully support deporting any Indian students who have overstayed their student/work visa. They need to go back because they do not love this country.

The racism card gets pulled out so easily. But something I tell my Australian friends is this, if I wanted to be surrounded by Chinese? I would have moved to China but I moved to Australia to be in Australia. Same goes for India Sri Lanka etc. but of course you gonna say that's racist.. diversity and multicultural is fine, when there is a fine balance not a flood of one race... When migrants take our jobs that's not a good thing. You don't see Aussies flooding China and you don't see Aussies flooding India either.

The recent wave of Indians coming to Canada are NOTHING like the previous ones. They have caused this themselves. I always wanted to visit India but based on the behaviour I have seen by indian newcomers has made me change my mind. Even driving is worse here with all of the aggressive drivers bringing up insurance rates.

Time to move on I guess. Canada is rated quite highly in terms of places to live, the reason so many people want to immigrate here. Years ago vacation meant a car trip probably a few hundred kilometers from home, and that's only if mom or dad could afford it. Now if people can't go on a tropical vacation 3 times a year they cry. We had one car, not 2 or 3 fully optioned like today. Good luck on finding somewhere better, and make room for people who want to be here.

Its not just the government or the Canadian population you also have the ceos of companies selling jobs to enslave people that come over and the schools selling diplomas. The problem is mass corruption everywhere not in just one place. There are no longer any checks and balances just everyone doing whatever they want for as much money as possible and screwing everyone else over.

Just remember that a lot of people have a before and after view. Back in the day a school photo looked like a meeting of every country and now in some areas, those photos look like one country only. My point is that people grew up in a multicultural environment. Very rarely did one group have so much impact with so few people in such a short time. The long and short of it is stop driving like an entitled @$$, mow the lawn, don't be the loudest people, don't crowd, have large gatherings in public areas where you take over some place so that nobody can use it. Some people just want to get in, get their stuff and go home. I understand that the 2 countries in the world with the largest population like to be very sociable and crowd together, but neither of the two groups want to follow rules, laws or be considerate of other people. It's all about them and how they want to live. Imagine you've been paying taxes and following the laws and being considerate of other your whole life and someone coming to the country and making no effort to behave.

I live in Canada, all these problems are true and also health care system is not that good and high taxes…..However, life feels secured as food, environment and roads quality is AAA grade. You can actually achieve dreams as jobs pay good, even though you can to spend in dollars but remember macbook will cost 1.25 lakh and $2000 in Canada but there is huge difference in income, same goes for cars which translates that normal middle class family can have cars like Mercedes, audi and BMW which is not achievable in India. It’s safe country you can have whatever opinions you want, women can dress whatever they want and go out anytime without being worried. By considering all those things i decided to surrender my indian passport and got Canadian one.

Western Christian immigrants are not an issue. It’s the ones who have no culture similarities and want to change Canada to their non western culture. \nStop appeasing to these cultural changes, stop the financial assistance, hold the scammers accountable, anyone who fraudulently came here and had kids revoke and deport, and we would not have the large influx we are seeing. No one wants to stay in Canada, including illegals ?

TFW here, east Asian, a couple of things:\nI am paid the provincial minimum wage, and work in the dairy industry, medium sized farm.\nI started working straight out of high school\n\nFrom what I can see and hear from across the province and largely in the western Canadian provinces, older generation farmers are at the retirement age, but the younger generation is generally very reluctant to take over. \nNot all industries, but definitely in livestock, people sometimes don't realize that, there is literally no breaks, ever! You work every day, holidays, Christmas, and if you do chose to take a few days off, your co-workers, i.e. other family members or workers, have to take up the extra workload. You barely have time for your family, you are often tired around your kids. Farmers have some of the highest suicide rates among all occupations, as well as a difficulty to find partners due to the nature of their jobs.\nThe work is hard, days long, especially during harvests, and if the ever more expensive tractors, equipment fail...\nThere used to be a lot of family owned farms, over the last few decades most have sold their generational farm and left the industry, most because of the cost to operate and because the next generation's unwillingness to take over.\nYong people my age have not been seen applying for my position in a few years now, despite ongoing hiring effort at significantly higher than minimum wage, and I have repeatedly stated that I, although love my job, am ready to step aside at any point so a Canadian PR or citizen can take my position, as required by worker rules. There were a few inquiries from neighboring areas, mostly made by parents, but their children in the end all refused to work, even part time, or seasonal.\n\nOn the other hand, there is the issue of prices: equipment costs have largely more than doubled since the pandemic, grain prices rose... and all that on top of the constant uncertainty of the weather every planting and harvesting season. Most farms don't ever make a profit after the yearly operating cost is deducted from earnings, and the little profit that on occasion appear, goes right back into paying debt or reinvesting in renewing long overdue old equipment.\n\nMy position, and all those similar to mine in agriculture, are in all fairness, very low skilled, with minimum training, and therefore is only worth minimum wage, in my opinion. I was actually offered a higher amount but in the end turned it down because on the job, I discovered the only thing I bring to the table is manual labor (I know that's not really the right way to go about wages, but I do believe that wages should be based on the irreplaceableness of one's skills, and as it stands, although no replacements were ever found, I am very much easily replaceable, skill wise). That, compared to a slightly better paid Starbucks position, with benefits (most farm workers and owners don't have benefits or pension, yes owners too), air conditioning, regular work hours. I mean, if it wasn't for my particular interest for agriculture I'd pick Starbucks any day too!\n\nI think a couple issues are at hand, \n1. Most of agriculture's profit ends up in the corporate processing and supermarkets, that needs to change, workers could benefit, as well as consumers, from distributing that profit between farmers and shoppers.\n2. Agriculture in today's context no longer fit the modern life, although I strongly think that A LOT of people can benefit from getting their hands dirty once in a while and sweating a bit, improve physical and mental health, have better discipline all that jazz. So foreign workers are the temporary solution, if well regulated so that Canadian PR and citizens are ALWAYS prioritized for hire and at a fair wage. This cannot happen unless farmers can turn a profit, stated in point 1.\n3. A new generation of farmers are needed to take over, and they need to be somehow convinced that it is worth the toil, because as it stands, it is not, financially, life style wise. Automation is one solution, although therein lies the huge, foreseeable risk of corporate takeover.\n4. On a specific note, TFW does mandate that workers are provided up to standard housing (not always followed), which puts local workers at a huge disadvantage if they are commuting to work and paying rent, although that rarely happens, and the majority of farms do offer housing to all.\n\n\nI am aware that me being treated up to regulation is not the norm among my TFW peers, which is quite sad and unacceptable. But in my opinion, even if given a leveled playing field, wages , conditions, housing, etc. Canadian citizens and PRs largely will be unable to meet the demand for these jobs, from unwillingness to work really hard physically, unwillingness to live the lifestyle, wanting a career with better prospects... these are harsh words, but I believe to be true, and they also come from a lot of older generation farmers talking about their children and grandchildren. \n\nThis is just in the agri industry, and from what I hear from farmers from all over western Canada : )

It’s not anti-immigration if you don’t want people who cheat their way into your country and demand jobs and housing when locals can’t get those. I am an immigrant who came to Canada as a child and grew up here and got my citizenship I’ve talked to so many international students they all cheat openly. They cheat on their scores to get here and then cheat their way through the school and then demand jobs??\nMeanwhile I can’t seem to get one

If you don't want to have Uber drivers, the first thing you need to do is change the system of hiring highly skilled professionals. I was shocked to find out that even software engineers need a recommendation from one of the IT companies in Canada to get hired. This is such nonsense, especially considering the fact that Canada is far from the best country for technical professionals.

No one wants to take gazans

Too many Indians and now due this correct decision by the government, Indians now play the race card to TRY to reverse the decision. I have to say it’s about time Canada does something for its own citizens instead of overpopulating our country with one nationality. I am so tired of hearing good Canadians being afraid to say the truth for fear of being labeled racist when all they are doing is stating facts. As Canadians we should really open our eyes and take a look at how we have failed each other, from the majority of white homeless persons addicted to drugs to tearing down the apartment complexes that born, majority white Canadians live I to build larger complexes for foreigners or parking lots. These are just a couple examples. Indians blame punjabis which is craziness. Let’s stop for a moment and think about who we want to help.. our fellow Canadians or those coming in in droves like ants on sugar

It appears that the huge increase of immigrants to Canada came at the expense of poor screening process by Immigration Canada. It is true that you can't demand higher education for people you expect to perform menial jobs, but no one wants these jobs especially in a country with such high living costs, and such poor outlook of social advancement. Every society on earth have a lower social segment of uneducated and poor individuals. Unfortunately a portion of these lower class Indians landed in Canada, and aren't contributing to their new country, or to India itself. As usual, they generally are single young males; a similar situation can be appreciated in Europe with Muslim and African individuals. I can't say how many times I've received calls or e-mails from scammers from India, Pakistan, Russia, Nigeria, and China. We, in the West as common citizens, are the targets of criminals around the world trying to exploit us. If landed immigrants aren't of any positive influence to Canada, they should be denied citizenship and expelled from the country.

I personally used to love indians. Especially punjabis. The ones who immigrated here in the 80s and 90s were quiet, dignified and productive.\n\nThey were family oriented and blended into canadian society seamlessly.\n\n\nThis is what indians need to do in order to regain respect again.\n\n1. Call out other indians who do not assimilate into canadian culture. And stop saying youre indian. My parents both immigrated from italy, and they never call themselves italian.....just canadian.\n\n2. Speak english a little better, and learn proper manners and customer service. The reason you came to Canadabwas because you saw it as a paradise where you could flourish. Learn the culture. Embrace wherenyou are.\n\n3. Follow the law. I came to germany 5 years ago.\nLearned the language, did an Ausbildung and BELIEVE ME, tried my best to become a part of the society but the society is shut closed COMPLETELY.\nPeople are very unwelcoming and they all stick to their 'own group of people' - not only germans but also immigrants from the middle east.\nThey love catergorizing social status and are deeply condecsending.\nIn addition, it feels like germans don't want people who are eager to climb the ladder and eventually become a higher level employee but they rather want someone who would just stay in the entry level position who would do all the unnecessary repeatitive work that no one wants to do.\nBecause of this tendency, I see a lot of managing level employees who are disgustingly incompetent but are only there just because of what they are (if you know what I mean).\n\nBut again, these are just based on my experience and maybe it's just how it is only in the city I'm living in :).

Trudeau has taken the Multi out of “Multiculturalism” Canadians and Indians have different values and if we Canadians mention this we are shamed and labeled as racist. I have a few Indian friends and they even say that immigration to Canada from India has gone out of balance. Many Indian people don’t assimilate into western living and many try to find loopholes they can exploit. I don’t like that Sikh men can bring daggers to places like the gym, it makes me feel uncomfortable working out beside someone with a big knife. Indian people wearing a Turban don’t have to wear helmets when riding their motorcycles. If a white Canadian took a big hunting knife into a gym they would be escorted out by the RCMP, and would be ticketed and fined for not wearing a motorcycle helmet. While sitting with one of my Indian friends he mentioned how he would hate to be me, I asked him why, he said as an Indian he can do what he wants and if I say anything I’m shamed and considered a racist. ??

They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. It not anti indian policy.. international student are not all indian .. there is other country citizen that are also not allow to get work permit as well . let not play the race card now.. indian act like you are alway are special.. when apply for your student visa there were term and condition.. and one of the term is that once your visa expires you must LEAVE the county. You guys are not entile to any rights because you guys are a guest in the country... if you want fair treatment maybe stay in your country and study there because your a indian citizen ... nobody care about how much money you lost .. it was a gamble and you knew the risk and once your visa expiry you must leave.. there is no where in your student visa that states that you will automatic PR once you finish.. also the government of canada has the interst of the canadian citizen FIRST because we been paying tax our whole lives here while you guys only be paying for a year or two and you think u shoukd have all benefit that canadian is entiled too. This is not a race issue ,, the problem yes is the canadian goverment is stupid but also indian greedy mentality so where you guys take advatage of your own people by paying low wages..
