When I first immigrated to Canada, it seems that government`s filter on who should be moved to here was more selected and moreover, ppl really wanted to absorve and appreciate Canada`s culture whereas now, I see more and more new immigrants imposing their own culture here. It`s been 2 years that I`ve been seen news about cars being robbed, and in small cities, ppl being stabbed until death in the subways where you didn't even thought about this kind of situation here in Canada. I`m paying a lot for too less in life quality.

Hi True North, I'm from India not in Canada ?. if they were promised to give PGWP after course completion and they received that and now they are asking for further extension then yes send them back. But if the PGWP was not even granted to them in the first place then it's a scam, the Canadian government has to give what was promised. They contributed to your economy in dollars (which is not easy if someone is coming from India) they deserve to earn in dollars as well. Also, some students took loans as well . However, I understand Canadian citizens' frustration too but it was the Canadian government's mistake when they invited immigrants just for the sake of money.

They are using the student visa to get IN to Canada, FIRST, and from there an immigration consultant who normally are from their own ethnic background will persuade these students under false pretense that they (consultant) would be able to help them get permanent residency. Every third person that you meet in Canada in 20 years will be from South Asia. Most of us are economic immigrants and came here to live a happy peaceful prosperous life and contribute to the economy in the form of taxes. Thanks Trudeau, soon enough we will be able to walk across lake Ontario, just like the Ganges. First hand knowledge here, while enjoying a day at a park, a Hindu/Paki or whatever they were numbering about 50 having a picnic/family get together, age ranging from 1-80 with 20 or so full grown men. Who in the right mind would come to Canada to study paying so much money in student tuition and not hope to become a citizen? We're experiencing 'labour shrinkflation': increasing duties are downloaded onto workers and more is expected: more productivity, more availability (almost 24/7 in some jobs), and higher qualifications. Meanwhile, real wages are decreasing relative to living cost, more positions are 'contract', which is basically a way for employers to not have to give you benefits, and job security is tenuous for a lot of people.\n\n4. Houses are being bought by investors and not owners. Foreign entities are money laundering. Trudeau focuses on 'equity' measures, hoping for a bit of cheap good press, while his efforts are, for the most part, just window dressing and the issues, while meaningful, are often not of paramount importance or even applicable to the vast majority of the people who elected him. Meanwhile, the middle class is pretty much evaporating as he speaks. The NDP keep talking about this in a pretty real way, for what it's worth, but Jagmeet Singh is giving off an increasing vibe of just being another fat cat politician beneath his rhetoric these days. Also, third-party trolls and screeching conservatives try to bury him on social media whenever he speaks... a lot more than other leaders as well, oddly. I wonder why? Oh yeah, the Greens exist and there's Quebec and the conspiracy theory party.\n\n\nUltimately, what we're experiencing is the revenge of the feudal system. Instead of paying rents to your lord and doing labour on the land for him whenever commanded to, you pay rent to your landlord now and go to work even when you're sick or when work hours are over because you have no union protection or are working 'on contract'. Unless we want to live in the armpit of nowhere, 95% of us are going to be wage slaves living hand-to-mouth, not owning our own property, and working to please our corporate overlords if current trends continue unchecked. While some of Canada's problems are unique, I fear that most aren't. As for me, I'm headed to the 'armpit of nowhere' where I can at least have a ghost of a chance of affording life.

I totally agree that immigration has been uncontrolled lately, a pause is necessary and students should leave once their work permit expires, but the point is if Canada wants to release the burden off economy, they should first deport/stop refugees and stop sending billion dollar aid to Ukraine. International students boost the economy by bringing foreign investment, paying taxes and not put burden if done in a controlled way. Refugees(not all) who take advantage of the benefits, funding wars eat up the tax payers money. What kind of quality students you are bringing that is another story.

I know for a fact that 95% of Indian and African students don’t even attend their first semester and withdraw before their tuitions are kept. They usually apply to private colleges. I work in social and community services. Many of them come with mental health illnesses and the parents pawn them off to Canada on the pretense of them going to school only to end up on social assistance because they can’t find work.

I lost very good friends over the years because they were not able to secure work visas after working, but its fair. Canada's system and social welfare has to be protected, Canadian jobs have to be protected and prioritized for Canadians first. No international student has a right to stay or live here past their studies. They can come back when they secure a work permit.

Our education systems from kindergarten through to postsecondary education and spending it on the Canadians that were here. We've turned our post-secondary institutions in Canada into diploma Mills where you know your VA and your you know postgraduate degrees or you know they're worthless. However the government and the education system grew into a very profitable industry grinding out worthless degree after worthless degree for foreign students who thought when they got these degrees with 50% of Canadians have. People have to realize that post-secondary education is a big business so they're going to sell you a dream that's going to cost you a lot of money what I suggest is when YouTubers want to do something on Canada do some proper research let people know that we really do have quality post-secondary education system but you have to look at when you graduate those jobs going to be there to pay that large salary does White collar jobs are disappearing almost gone I purchase an app for my company with small company about 10 employees this inexpensive app alone has taken my office staff from 7: to 2: I have a 10 Red seal tradesman tradeswomen these 10 highly skilled trades people earn between 125 and 145,000 a year in gross salary and I need five more of these highly skilled people and I can't find them cuz everybody's running in to get a useless postgraduate degree. Traditional White collar you know middle management upper management jobs they've been gone for years everyone's think of themselves as an independent contractor. Also if you're a millennial or was a gen z person there's going to be a massive transfer of wealth over the next 20 to 30 years as baby boomers simply die off and then you guys are going to inherit their money I live in any one of the g7 economies I just got to find your niece with your qualifications and get in there and innovate because there's not one g7 country that significantly doing better than anyone else another interesting part of the world is East Africa I'm retiring there in 5 years I've already done my homework I've already got partners I've already started to train up people there in East Africa Canada and those parts of the world they have East Africa's great basic infrastructure so now that they've got their first level base of infrastructure a second economy is built off at the service that basic infrastructure that basic infrastructure allows for that second layer a bigger layer of investment you know and that's where the real money is for mid-level investors and you know highly educated Young westerners have got 10 years into their respective careers and these are also very beautiful countries you know so you can if you got family in Canada family in Europe India Asia you know you can start building networks collaborate on projects you know in these you know emerging economies you know mid-level economies but that's you know a good 20-year grind to get good at your career and build your confidence to go into these places and get these things done also you know it's a great life adventure but never expect just because you have an advanced degree that the door even come knocking down your door to employ you if you're going to wait for the opportunity to come to you you're going to be waiting forever you got to take your advanced degrees get out there and hustle and work hard man Canada's doing fine about four or five years it's you know it's going to take off next level and it's going to boom for 40 years and it's never going to get any cheaper in g7 countries Amy's emerging economies his pockets around the world they're starting to come up to in the window to get into these emerging economies with your advanced degrees it's closing if you don't make it if you don't start looking at it in the next 5 years your degrees are going to be gone useless and if you do decide to put your career in these emerging economies like Asia South America Central America Africa do it for the right reasons not just for money we don't want to make the same mistakes as like the industrial Revolution where a few people get rich and the people in that country you know don't get anything have respect for these countries employ their people and you have to get into these places before all the big corporations get set up there cuz they're they're going there Canada's a great place as a great time free medical system and I urge anybody that's feeling down or depressed in Canada you know to go get some therapy join some clubs talk to people don't get down and mostly don't you know don't give up on yourself you guys made it through you know Elite post-secondary education system and if you can if you can do that I mean you can you can do anything a lot of hard work ahead truly best of luck to all you guys

I don't understand why Canada is a first world country! Shattered economy, no proper employment for white collar jobs, horrible infrastructure but has complex legalities with high taxation. However GCC, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland provide much much more better facilities and employment for global immigrants. There is no reason, why people will come to Canada for jobs. Gulf offers much more jobs and attractive salaries than Canada and savings potential is much much more in that region.

It's really getting ridiculous - I'm making 6 figures, and was living comfortably until 2018. Now I have to pinch every single penny. One thing that changed is I had my first-born. But it should not be this expensive to raise of family of 1 child. It's getting ridiculous. We've been considering emigrating elsewhere. \n\nHaving done everything - from going to university, making sacrifices to afford a first home - yet we're still regressing in life. Well, Canada as a whole is still well over 85% white European, fortunately. Canada is FINALLY reducing the number of student visas and temporary foreign workers entering this country. Govmnt growth and spending, housing inflation above normal, abusive taxes on essential needs like electriciy, much like Brazil, yes Brazil has one of the most expensive energy taxes in the world even though we have more than enough sources of energy, because of government.

I've experienced life in Montreal and really enjoyed it, but living in the USA has its own unique advantages and challenges. While there are both positive and negative aspects to living here, overall, I find it quite comparable to other places I've known. One of the standout features of the USA is the affordability of housing combined with higher incomes, which makes financial planning more manageable. Additionally, I've found that making friends here seems easier, perhaps due to the country's diverse population. When I first moved here, before getting married, I effortlessly connected with many Americans who were welcoming and open.\n\nHowever, I do have concerns, particularly regarding safety issues like crime and school shootings, which is why I've opted for private schooling for my five-year-old daughter. This is an added expense, yet manageable given the higher income levels here, which still allow for a comfortable lifestyle in a sizeable home outside the city center. Many significant companies offer opportunities, especially in New Jersey where I live, and particularly for those with higher education in STEM fields.\n\nIn my experience, opportunities in Canada or Europe can seem more limited in comparison. Despite this, I envision retiring in Europe, drawn by its unique appeal and lifestyle.

Something wrong with the migration policy in Canada. It’s either all the subcontinent migrant just concentrate one specific location in Canada or the intake is based on non bias application first in first out. In Australia although the policy is not perfect but we do take in migrants according to the ratio of population of migrant country and of course plus other courses like skills, family etc and generally this will not course favour extreme bias-ness of one nationality

Smh… Some peeps gotta talk apples when I’m talking oranges…as their rebuttal doesn’t quite respond in proper context to my statement. So let me be clear: the Aboriginal People have absolutely every single right to be disgruntled and complain if any nation is to do so especially after having been swindled and bamboozled out of their land and space and way of life. This is why if any nation/ group is expected to raise up and fuss and complain it’s the Natives/Indigenous People. The circumstances are not even remotely near the same here with Canadians today versus what the Aboriginals went through pre-European Canada. We don’t even need to go there. Naturally, any one particular group that occupies a certain space and then has said space slowly taken over by another group/nation will be displeased to say the least and it is their right to complain. Truly no one nation or group can occupy any land or space forever as no one truly owns the land to begin with. Who’s disputing that?? So why even complain at all over something we don’t even truly own, even though we have somewhat of a right to do so?? The world is gradually becoming more of a melting pot of different races of people. And needless to state, Canada is a country of many nations and it would be very unbecoming of any minority immigrant to be here and be racist towards and complain about the other ethnicities/minorities here. Hence what triggered my comment in the first place. Immigrants wanna boldly come here and change things to suit them. This is Canada! And that’s not how things work here. Why come to my home and then complain about the occupants? Just go back where you came from. Period!
