Canadian here- I hate Trudeau just as much as most Canadians, and as it seems most Republican Americans do as well. But I fully stand behind him at this hour. One big problem Canada has, is USA. Canada is better to be in if you aren't established, poor people do not suffer as badly as those in the usa who have no money. But if you are established, living in USA is better, you pay less taxes, and you make more money on average, and you have more access to a larger market, so what people do is use Canada to become established, then leave. These scholars are feeling cheated that by spending huge amounts of money and contributing to the research and development during the studies, they have not only been taken for a ride but also become the main target of the deportation campaign as their status is available with the government. On the other hand, millions of undocumented workers are comparatively safe, as tracing and deporting them is not an easily achievable task. Besides, millions of foreign citizens are given entry into the country on flimsy grounds, and many of them do not even ever go to elementary school. I think even God would not be able to make out what the fuck this country has become on this issue. Almost the same is the situation with most of the EU countries, the UK, Australia, and Canada.
