Why don't all the nations like US and Canada try to help fix what is happening from the places these people are fleeing, especially if they are murder capitals? They can recruit these migrants to form coalitions to rebuild their nation. What if they are really are going to suffer there, without outside intervention, by being recruited, instead, into gangs or be killed or raped? If we send troops to the middle east for our vested interest, then don't we also have at least some vested interest to send troops in Honduras and El Salvador? We can prevent the entire population from migrating, prevent people from being exploited and hurt while traveling or living illegally and the taxpayers and citizens won't have to pay for court costs, education, healthcare and welfare. There are plenty of things our nation can do to uplift our own destitute and out of luck an alone citizens...with that money. With the money now saved, it can be diverted to cover the costs of our troops, counselors, educators in those nations. Then it is possible and foreseeable to reunite all the undocumented immigrants back to their now safer home countries. I understand why they flee and also understand why the US and Canada cannot absorb these large population of people, and they have the right to determine who is invited in, so....why can't there be more permanent solutions? I feel, certain pathetic political groups are playing these migrants, the law-abiding citizens and others in their game of chess. Lives are not pawns for chess. Is there a hidden path for drugs, money, prostitution that is being quietly supported? Are certain businesses lobbying in the millions and billions to get cheap labor? Is that why this problem is not finally being solved but kept alive for so many years? There are basic solutions that have not been tried in earnest. You cannot just bring everyone in and you cannot just turn your face to the problems these undocumented people face... A lot of people comment about how illegal immigration is ok, and blah blah blah. It's simple to say that when you don't feel the direct impact. Change the US as a country to your house. Now let's say the neighbors land Lord is beating the shit outta everyone in that household (play on the violence that's happening in country of orgin). One of then move into your house without letting you know beforehand (illegals). Let's say you don't mind and understand why they did so. Now they work hard around the house and get a job to spend for themselves and send money next door to the family still left behind. . But they don't have to pay for electricity, gas (aka taxes). And since you own a 3 bed room house, things don't change that much. Now 2 more of the neighbors flee because of the asshole land Lord. Now you have to start working slightly harder to pay for your utilities aka taxes. Now you start seeing how more people affect your household. Now even more people flee the next door neighbors and you work even harder for utilities plus your trash is overflowing, have to invest in larger trash cans, fix the doors or ascetic's(pipes, faucets, tubs etc) in your house from over use or mismanagement. Plus you have to start driving their kids to school, you have to get a bigger vehicle (that's a play on the education systems bloating classroom problems)spend more on gas and car maintenance, and since they all don't speak English, to have to spend money on making signs to inform them of the house rules and dangers. You have to invest time out of your schedule to inform them how things work in your house hold because at their house they walked around naked or shit with the door open (play on different societal norms or religions) and may even have to alter your rules as not to impose and anger them. Know the house is over filled and they expect you to buy a bigger house (play on the welfare state)I mean I can go on... But people reading this can get the drift. Point is, yes i understand that people want a better life and all immgration in not necessarily evil, but you can't just let anyone come in because you feel bad. Making change based off emotions of a few is detrimental to the whole.

I’m always scared to get accused of shoplifting, not because I’m black but just because I take ages to look at 1 article. I can stay more then 1 hour in the store. I usually do every aisle even the ones that don’t concern me like the baby section. I just like to see what is new, what is available. \nI live in a country where shoplifting is not really an issue, so I’m used to doing what I want in the shops. I went on holiday in the US and completely forgot that I was not home. I went to target and didn’t take a basket as I was suppose to only buy 1 thing. When I picked up more then 5 articles I put a few in my pocket. It’s only when I got to the cashier that I was like “ I’m crazy this is not my country “. Good thing nothing happened. \nAlso I’m a day dreamer so I always look suspicious in shops.

yea visible minorities get the boot sometimes but as a white guy ive been discriminated against too when trying to find a condo. unfortunately alot of the landlords were of asian decent and ive been rejected from buying a condo till i found a white landlord who would. it happens too all of us sadly

I'm really torn on this issue. On one hand I see the pain and suffering splitting up families causes, but that wouldn't happen if they entered the country legally. Let's not forget these people no matter how well intentioned they are in emigrating they broke US immigration laws.

Instead of trying to skirt the system and the legal process, he may have had a better chance just doing things legally in the first place. It says he spent 15 years in the US illegally before sneaking into Canada, then he spent how long there trying to find loopholes by claiming all of these bogus circumstances? I sympathize with the guy, but I also can't ignore his mistakes and what has happened as a direct result of him trying to game the system. His actions have affected his family, and he seems to blame everyone else but himself.

I've sat back and waited for events like this to happen. Muslims go back to your country and stay the hell out of Canada. Canada shows you kindness and put you guys in hotel rooms till we can have the PROPER housing FOR YOU, and while you are there you tear up the bible in your hotel room. This happened to me with a coworker in Minnesota at a walmart, when store employees would say hi to us, I would tell my coworker lets run to another aisle.
