I was visiting when I felt sick. I came home asap. Turned out I had a tumour on my brain stem. Thankfulness. 4 surgical teams, 10 hr surgery, 1wk in hosp, months of homecare, rehab and follow up mri and care. Yikes. My sis moved down in 1976, was good when she was in her 30’s while she worked. Her husband, American, went off on Canadian disability and once my sister retired their healthcare costs were crazy. They moved to a state that had better senior med care. I was visiting four yrs ago. My sis had several hosp visits due to heart issues. She ended up having open heart surgery. The hospital was lovely. Care was great. Pt care room was huge. I was used to tight icu cubicles. She had complications, day 4 the social worker came to tell her she was being discharged the next day. Her insurance had run out. There was no further coverage!!! She was in her 80’s had just had a stent blow thru her R coronary artery 5 days earlier then have bypass surgery and had just come off a ventilator the day before. I had to get back to Canada the next day. Thankfully, the social worker was able to continue working to find respite care at a nursing home for her for a couple more wks. \n\nI love certain parts of the states having spent a majority of my childhood visiting since my big sister moved there. Both countries are having issues now. Housing sucks in canada. If you aren’t doing well financially, canada isn’t all that great anymore either.

So we need to think about who is a Canadian? Unless you belong to the Indigenous group you are either an immigrant or a descendant of an immigrant. I have lived in Brampton for almost 20 years and have witnessed the change. Yes, people need to adapt and understand the so called Canadian culture. But also think about whether you will have an issue with a white Portuguese or Italian immigrant ,the same way. These Indian students are spending money and driving the economy. They are loosing their precious years doing trivial jobs which the so called white people will not do. Indian students are committing suicides at an alarming rate in canada. Government policies are to blame not these students

Being the reason why i left the country right after 6 months, truly horrifying when it comes to saving and studying, finding part time jobs in well known provinces is hell, even after you get the job, you won't get enough hours to save up for the upcoming year for your tuitions, you cannot do both at the same time, you either study or work, there's no point in dragging yourself for the specific period of time you're there for and end up driving either a uber or looking for tradework.

the damage that's been done would require us to either kick out 500k immigrants or close our doors to all immigration (except for those 18 and under in the most dire of situations) for the next 25 to 30 years. We should only be immigrating in those that actually need what we have to offer. Thing is, it is better to try to save these people first from immediate danger, then the less immediate concerns, one step at the time. Given how difficult it is to help the people there, it is easier to provide medical care in a safe area, and it seems the neighbouring country does not have any interest to stop the violence it causes to the Palestinians. And given that the US is backing the neighbouring country, we can't ask for change, since they don't seem to want to change attitude either.

This is never heard of. When I came to Canada as an international student in 2009, most of my classmates either stay, work and pay taxes, or they go back to their original countries. What has this government done?!

The government is either incompetent,corrupt or complicit involving their immigration policies.

it depends on a company culture, if you work in an international company, everyone speaks english and is connected, does not matter either your native language is italian, german, russian, brazilian etc. so Germany should foster the cultural transformation of the german companies and be more diverse and inclusive. Burocracy must be reduced

Dude actually expects services in his language or what? Learn the language before you go there. You don't go to china and expect everyone to speak english either, right? For vacation ok, but if you want to live there, do something before you get there.

I'll tell you about prices in Canada. (please fact check me fellow Canadians, I wrote this in a rage. Also, most of this is from Ontario cause I live there) The monopolies here are insane. Highways that were built using tax payer money were sold to companies and now Canadians need to pay to us it. Most grocery stores are owned by a few major companies and I see butter prices rising every few months. A 1L carton of cream at my local store is $8! I won't talk too much about housing cause it's obviously sh**. I will say a couple of years ago the Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford (my greatest enemy), was releasing the protection of the green belt, a protect part of Ontario used for agriculture. He said he would use it to build new homes, great right? NOPE. First of all, the green belt is used for food to reduce prices for Canadians cause its local. He has stated he would move it to another location but that land there is less fertile. The worst thing is, the reason he is saying he would use the green belt to build houses is because the land there is very valuable. And guess who owns that land? His BUDDIES! That means he would sell that land to developers and his buddies would get all the profit cause the money developers use to buy the land will directly be put on the buyer. Not to mention, Doug Ford, the same person, since his instatement as premier, has cut the Ontario education budget by 50%. 50%!!!! ABSOLUTELY UNREAL. Can't even afford air conditioning in schools where the weather is so extreme. Rogers? The largest internet provider in Canada? Absolutely cr*p. So many complaints about bad connection and cutoffs which I also experienced when my mom bought one of their products and my internet was sh** for a couple of months. The ONLY, and I mean only, good major thing Trudeau has done is legalize marijuana. Another thing I forgot to mention is that our government is made up of criminals. Doug Ford, he and his family use to partake in drug dealing. Another major complaint is the ttc which is public transportation costing so damn much! As a student, it costs me over $1000 a year to get to school using the ttc. The times aren't even that great either as even on a major road, I had to wait 25 minutes to get a bus. Thats my rant.

It is a significant amount of $$ and boost Canadian economy 2) Indian students 50% wants to finish the course applied, a job after the course and PR and 50% work immediately and don't attend college, wants to go for PR 3) Indians take all the jobs in the supermarket, Mall jobs, fast food stores etc even if the wage is less than Canadian 4) Canadians cannot get any jobs either awaiting government help or going into doll. no more affordable housing, lack of health care, no jobs and in my town of 50K all you need to do is shop or get food or look on the streets to see what happened. They do not spend money either. My grandkids will never find a summer or any job, my adult children with their kids have to share a house. The cause is staring us in the face and paid for by our taxes.
